I say add it and give option to have it up or not. Make it a visible warning the first time you load in asking if you want the chat or not. This way everyone can have the opportunity if they choose it.

Hitting hard with the repeat reply to solidify the did you read part.

The problem I have personally with her is that she is insanely boring and a Killer which just boils down to "Leave the Loop or get Hit". And while there are several of those Killers, they are not even close to Skull Merchant. She just gets so much status effects which are built-in into her Kit, it is not even funny anymore.
She has Haste, Oblivious, Undetectable, Hindered, Deep Wound and Broken. Other Killers have to use Add Ons to have SOME of those status effects.
Plus, her Drones are also not really fun for either side. They also dont really give any interaction between Killer and Survivor, since both Killer and Survivor interact with the Drones, but not with each other directly.
Sabotaging Drones does not really do much, because you can only sabotage them if they are next to Gens, which directly gives information to her and lets her recall them.
And dont get me started on the fact that I can play perfectly against her and one of my teammates can give her Haste by getting a Clawtrap, which will make my Chase against her worse, even if I did not do any mistake or whatsoever.
The problem is that she should have gotten a complete Rework instead of trying to keep her with Drones. Because she was obviously planned as an Area Control-Killer, this was her initial concept. Yet, she was just horrible to verse and IMO also really boring to play (because, again, no direct interaction between Survivor and Killer outside of M1-gameplay). And because they decided to keep her Drones, they decided that she should get so much value out of them to drive the Killer away from using the power only as an Area Control, yet she can still do that AND has so much stuff overblown in her Basekit.
If I would rework her, I would have no idea what to do, but I would 100% remove Drones from her Kit and try to make something interesting. They should have done that from the start and just offer a Refund-Option for people who dislike her new power.
This can make sense. The fact she can gain power from others is a frustrating mechanic. This is what drives many to play games hat are not reliant on a team. Some of her added effects are tied in with add ons but I agree the tweaking what she gets, when, and how could make a difference.
I would not mind if they shifted her towards more what I thought she was supposed to be as a Predator clone. Not sure if it would be better for here to have a bunch of alien weapons like a Predator, a stealth build, or both.

But what if I want to hear Drowning Pool?

What's even worse is that if you reply with something like f off then you get message ban for X amount of days regardless of what toxic drivel you got sent in the first place.
Luckily you can just block all messages outside of your friend list so you don't have to deal with the drama.
My Word!!! That is insane.

"The ones who dc are conditioned to do so cause they think the game will be too hard."
Incorrect. And once again someone does not understand the difference between "fun" and "difficulty". You dont see as many DCs against Nurse or Blight compared to Skull Merchant. And she is certainly weaker than those two.
If you make a survey and ask people if they think Nurse or Skull Merchant are stronger, the result would be clear. And if you make another Survey, which Killer is more fun to verse, people would say Nurse. (Even if she is such a broken Killer who should not exist in this game anymore like this)
And even IF her high Killrate is partially due to people giving up against her (even without that she would not have a low Killrate, because Skull Merchant is not a weak Killer overall), this should also be a sign that she needs changes.
It is true that there is less discussion on dc rates on almost any other killer. There is also not a stigma that people should just give up against them either.
What makes playing against SM not fun and fine into other more oppressive killers? If I had a guess it is due to the skill requirement on the other killers. A new player could use SM somewhat decently and not a Blight.
I would also guess that the people you would claim going against a Nurse is more fun have not gone against a SM or a good Nurse.
-
It is hard to deal with. The issue I would have with developing a way to punish would be difficult. What if they are hoping for the Kobe moment? What if they got into game and needed to leave for a reason, but did not want the negative effect from just dc’ing? The one way to handle it would be reevaluating the self unhook mechanic itself. It is something that they should look into especially with how high the suicide on hook rate most likely is.
-
I get matched against similar opponents for some reason when I want to try something new or am just going chill mode. It is upsetting and I feel the rage to make the next match abysmal for my opponents. Then I simply yell out a curse word or two. I feel better and calm and move on to next. Side note nothing they do in game affects me. My bad plays are what in game trigger me. The post game chat from those types can be unsettling.
-
I think we got a decent killer just not the one that was expected.

It's completely the opposite on Xbox. PC endgame chat is like a PG movie in comparison to some of the messages I used to get sent after matches on Xbox.
My friends showed me some of their Xbox messages. You are 100% correct. That probably has to do with less ban restrictions and even if they got a consequence it wouldn’t disable their game.
-
I have heard of these “fixes” through legends and myths. If the old scrolls are to be trusted then…….the Nea challenge will become another Alan challenge! (Cue Don Don Doooooon sound effect)
-
I will say that playing solo survivor can be agitating. I have had the games where I knock out all gens get hooked once and am abandoned. Also the get hooked once and abandoned, lol. There has been multiple troll teammates.
I also get more thrill from solo. If I have only the information I have it brings up the intensity. It brings more questions to each match. Will this player do gens? Will this one hide in basement? You never know and it’s great!
Keep up the positivity and you will find the joy. Also taking a breather if you feel the tilt start helps.
-
I give positive feedback and get positive interactions. I will get positive messages 90% of the time in post game chat. If you hide from the chat and Beloit is from bad comments is it due to your play style?
-
Wish it was mimic. The hallucinations could have been other survivor models running around doing things. Then which one is the killer? Allow the killer to swap what model they are or even trade places with the mobile fakes. This could have been a great experience for both killer and survivor.
-
They will dc against her no matter what. The ones who dc are conditioned to do so cause they think the game will be too hard. It’s bad mentality. It also makes it so balancing her is difficult. If she gets kills from suicide on hook versus actual sacrifices it just boosts her numbers. This leads to her having the higher than expected kill rate. This also then adds to the thought that she is impossible to play against.
-
Not a problem for me. Joking aside there are many challenges me and my friends ran into that require x character that we didn’t have to get to a challenge for one we do have. This is nothing new. It just gives extra emphasis to get ole Allen.
-
Adding a gauge based on killer proximity could be a useful method. It would give either another way of getting up or exiting the game for the downed survivor. This could be specific to when there are 2 or less survivors. It would be an attempt to dissuade camping a downed survivor. This could be useful as a way to give the sense that you still could make it or that you don’t have to wait forever.
-
I had thought it would be nice if it showed where the totems were similar to Deja vu. This would give a reason to take it even without adding too much.
-
Played against a SM and get this NO ONE DC’ed. Most magical game of DBD I have seen to date. We still lost but no quitters.

Same here NA East server, Steam

Cheating/hacking and bleeding you all out when you can be hooked.
-
This is a showcase of why it works. Good or bad it works. I agree I dislike when I cannot get something that was released for a limited time. I also know the feeling of having that thing/item. Just because it is a sales tactic should not cheapen it for those who like it. That content most likely would not of existed at all if they did not forecast a decent return on the investment of making it. Unfortunately most things in life can be looked at for their darker reasons, but then you will miss out of the brighter ones.
-
It’s not a new or old player discussion. It’s a do they like the game or not. If they do then they will learn and get better. If they don’t then they will not play. Has nothing to do with strategies. I am new and never viewed tunneling as a bad thing, it’s just a part of the game. The issue is putting requirements on others or expecting certain results. If you are new you should know it’s a game that has been out for a while and you are gonna get rolled a lot. It is just a mindset.
-
From the messages I have seen my friends get on Xbox please let the console players be in chat. A breathe of new life compared to the usual gg. Also it’s sad when playing survivor side and not everyone can chat in the pre game lobby.

Facts

I have had so many memorable moments with killers due to green glyph shenanigans. They will always have a special place with me……and slowly turning to look at killer after getting hit to just go back and run for the glyph anyway.
-
I had either a bug or cheater Chucky that stood right underneath me repeatedly stabbing me on hook. The meter never moved.

Absolutly, at least for my taste. I would not mind if games would last 2-3 minutes longer, because gameplay would be more interesting.
That is why i suggested a few solutions for this. Unfortunatly most people were not happy with those.
The first one was more pallets and more options for survivor to defend, but add a second object.
The other one was a solution to tunnel that would even out the game. Less faster gens in early, but overall faster gens in late game.
This is well thought out. Add more objectives which woulD be enjoyable and unique to each map. Then add more pallets or slowdown possibilities to compensate. This still would have some growing pains to balance but is an excellent suggestion.
-
I still play him at his current form and enjoy it. The additions look to be quite good. I like the last comment will miss the intoxication effect. Vomiting is supposed to happen from an extreme intoxication anyway.
-
After multiple matches of playing as the “fair” killer and spreading hooks I have found one major trend. You should never spread hooks. Most survivors will rush gens no matter if you are playing sweaty or not. As it has been mentioned you don’t know what each group will do, but the majority will slam gens. So as killer unless you want very low bp gain and a depip it just is not in your best interest.
-
If they adjusted the inability to get back to fully healed to a set time rather than the whole match it would make it a bit more likely to use. The time could be long and then adjustable for the future.
-
I agree with the bp for the fallen. They even could incorporate if your earned bp was low, you got tunneled, or if you were eliminated under a certain time you could get condolence bp. It wouldn’t make you happy about the early leave but wouldn’t make you hate that you brought the bloody party streamers.
-
I am not sure I understand the initial post statement. I play both killer and survivor. I do not take anti-tunnel perks on survivor. Do I get chased? Yes. Do they give up or at least get 3 gens done? Yes. I just adapt to the match and don’t worry about being the target. There are a lot of killers that will tunnel. If you work on your chase mechanics you can punish them for attempting it on you.
-
New girl will do well. Feng has years of content to keep her ahead. In the future one can hope though.
-
It messes with it only by the means that those who choose to go into PBE are not in the normal game. So yes it does just not how you might of wondered.
-
The main points I have seen for why many would play super efficient is bp and improving their grade. Winning is always going to come in for many. I know at least for me if I am multiple pips in on getting my next grade then I cannot risk that the survivors are not going to rush.
I like the point of adding something that improves gains from spreading hooks. The other add is to change scoring to ensure you can gain grades or at least less likely to lose pips.
-
I like all these for different reasons. The Unknown reminds me of Men in Black the alien cockroach in a man’s skin. The Dredge is just amazing. The Singularity is different in a good way.
-
I like the idea of an invocation that reveals all totems. The price could be blinded or more specific. A smaller invoke time for a perk that’s not too bad and would be more meaningful depending on situations.
-
I run in to them every so often and it is annoying. I would hope that they would have set a precedent when they exposed the Twitch streamer hackers by taking them to court.
-
They will adapt to compete with The Killer Klowns!
-
I believe many struggle with the concept of these type of games. The fact that one side is supposed to succeed more is difficult to grasp for many. This feeling is also made worse with the grade system. If you do well you go up, but if you do not, or get tunneled, you get negative actions from depipping. The more competitive nature could be lessened by removing negatives from the grade system, but pvp still brings out competitive nature. The arguments I see most often are based on individuals not winning as often as they want. This game brings out competitiveness from people even when they do not realize it is that. Overall the game is what it is. I agree that people just need to focus on the enjoyment more, but having feelings is what makes a game great.
-
It depends on the level of players you go against as well. When I am in try hard mode to up my grade I run gen slowdown. In order to be competitive at those levels you need to.
On the flip side. When I am taking a breather I feel you can simply enjoy the madness of mixing it up with perks. I have been going through and getting adept on the killers lately which has been enjoyable.
-
I thought SM was a Predator not a Terminator. Either way yes to the skin idea and banner.
-
There is merit to this option. This is an option that I know many would appreciate. This is a game that is set with its theme, yes. This is a multiplayer experience you might want to share with friends. If that friend will not play without filter options on some things they are not okay with how is that a bad thing. It does not take away from what the true fans of the genre want it only allows others to enjoy the game who would not normally.
-
Maybe even lower the time for the trap to go off, but keep the new feature of the pig not being able to aura sense the key locations.
I love the killers with secondary objectives. That is a feature that truly gives going against/playing as a unique experience. Promoting those secondary objectives would only make the game more enjoyable.
-
Promoting this behavior is terrible. It harms the game for all the other people playing. If you want to be upset and quit in situations that are less desirable than maybe play solo games.
-
Altering effects like mangled looks like a good look for the future. Adding timing leads to things like the new perk that can lower that timing against specific effects you do not like to deal with. Of course this would need time to adjust, but the overall idea is nice to be able to hopefully aim your perks to truly reflect your play style.
-
I think if it had been the shapeshifter it would have been quite amusing. Even with a SWF if another “survivor” appears and gets on gen or does something normal it’d still throw many off. The letdown of it not being what was imagined is ok as it still can give ideas for the devs in the future.
The survivor is cool and brings out a new mechanic that will be fun. The killer could be difficult to balance once people get him down. The AOE anti loop cannon will upset many in the future. Add on the teleportation from properly placed husks around the loops as well. This at least will take skill to do so we shall see. I am optimistic and enjoy getting new content regardless.
-
At least give the option.
