  • Could be as simple as the cable connectors or as complicated as the network you are connected on.

  • Super speed and teleport(Nurse) type champs due to the balance issue that is almost impossible to solve due to how you make the m1 killers able to do the same.

  • They could also have perks like bond to know where you are without a teammates info. This happens every so often with the trolling teammates for me as well.

  • If I play her I use the stealth mixed with chase method. Get near a gen and release drone for speed and stealth. If you get to surprise survivor get a hit and add the alien perk for speed boost. She is fun to play if the survivors try and you don’t play the extreme long game methods.

  • The main issue I have had is a fix that they might be looking at based when they get more data. This is with timing. The time it takes to dispel the hallucinations feels too long. I have had too many occasions where I start to dispel and right near the end poof the unknown appears for a free hit. I think they just need to adjust some of the numbers and it can make the unknown more balanced to play against.

  • Teammates leaving you to die on first hook is a huge factor as well. 8 games in a row if you wonder.

  • As many have already stated, this is a case of “Don’t feed the trolls”. Those who wish to harm you using things you enjoy are only doing so as long as they get responses. They want things that are enjoyed to be tarnished or taken away. They want many to talk about them. Purposefully seeking them, and worse interacting with them, will only lead to more persecution. Their minds are set and full of poison. Don’t let them spread that to you and in term infect your whole outlook on life. Rally with your other members in the community to boost your spirits.

Strange that is even a factor, considering you don't even pip as killer if you 4k too fast. At least you don't in the higher ranks as far as I remember.

Depends on the killer being used. If you are using power and downing quickly and getting high amounts of hooks you get the double. I also have had games that were quick and got nothing or barely a pip.

  • It’s not as in-depth as you might think. Grade reset so the climb to iri 1 begins. Once many reach their goals then it will get more back to usual.

  • Then why bring these issues from your life into the safe space? Why not just enjoy the game for what it is rather than try and alter it into something hateful.

When I saw the Unknown skins I instantly loved them. I felt showcased what this killer is and the depth of its character. Why do you go immediately to hateful intentions?

I agree this should be a safe place to enjoy. So please think about that before trying to take something that has only positive intentions and distorting it into something revolting.

  • He is a goofy little goofer. I like the thought process behind his kit. As I am only a beginner with him I found the combo of chase survivor to loop shoot them place husk at key spot chase them to husk tele free hit. It is too simplistic with what appears to be no counter. I may be wrong on this as I do like the character but he just seems flawed.

  • Strength in Shadows

love this perk. I use bite the bullet and heal in the basement while listening to the sweet screams of others who call out to the killer after Ultimate Weapon. Thought it would be worse but I truly enjoy running it now.

    Wicked

Is a great perk to give information almost like a kindred but you can do something. It also lets you know if you can heal, get on gen, or where to run to.

    Weaving Spiders

It is a novelty perk. It is fun to do a few times but the consequence is not worth the lack of reward. I like the concept and the visuals. I also like how you can have others join in. The outcome is not good enough. I place it with the other perks I will never be using.

  • I am confused as to how this became a thing that “needs a fix”. I play mostly survivor and have the games where there is the bloodthirsty killer and sometimes the friendly one. I do not get the reason for an outrage on not surviving as survivor. It is the point of the game to try and survive with a low chance of success scenario. The game length on average is meant to be less for a survivor than a killer. The issue, that most likely cannot be helped, is that the wait time to get into a survivor game is longer than a killers most of the time.

  • If I am playing solo I try my best to help. I will be the trade to get them out. The sad truth is that most of the time I get on first hook and that’s where I stay. I still go for saves as it doesn’t deter me, it’s just unsettling.

  • Fun to play as and makes me laugh at how goofy it looks when I play against.

  • Needs an add on that puts traps in lockers. It’s called the school bully.

  • I have played 3 nights straight of spreading hooks and making the experience enjoyable for both sides. The experience was quite enjoyable. I still gained decent bp. The downside is after the grade reset I will need to stomp some people until grade 1 iredescent again. If it was playtime alone to get maximum reward then some, not all, might just enjoy the game rather than grind for the bp gains.

  • He does what many said he would. He is good for stomping new players. Everyone else counters is power due to most always look back. His teleportation is quite nice tho. He is like others have said fun to play but not strong by any means.

  • The issues I have noticed are the roles are worse at different points. The survivor role has a lot of issues at the lower mmr area. You get sandbagging teammates, new players, and players who have lower skill ceilings. This is also where you get a good chunk of killers who are learning so they do camp hooks and do tactics involved with higher success, especially into lower skilled survivors.

The killers side faces the challenges in the higher mmr. The speed that a high skilled group can accomplish their objectives is impressive. This can lead to many killers dropping the role or lowering their mmr purposefully to get easy matches. The second also leading to upsetting new survivors.

These issues are difficult to balance as if you improve survivors it will make the higher tier players even more difficult. If you improve killers it makes it miserable for new players.

One idea I did see was making the ranked and casual modes and reworking how the extra bp is gained for season to accommodate that. This will not completely fix the issue, but it would send many of the competitive players to focus in ranked and give the casual players more of the games they would want. The match speed could be an issue but could be tested to find a way to make it decent.

I do think Deliverance deserves to be an option, only because you have to unhook someone else prior, survive long enough to be hooked once at endgame, and be put in a position to have allies help you escape or be near an open gate for basekit BT to get you out.

The 4% though, I believe, is an old relic of DBD that may need to be looked at. It currently helps inflate killrates of certain killers and circumvents the DC penalty for survivors who just immediately give up and don't want to face a certain killer/perk/addon. I do like getting that lucky unhook at endgame as much as the next guy, but that doesn't balance out the prior argument I have against it in my eyes.

Maybe make Slippery Meat the only perk that allows you to attempt it, I dunno.

I like the put it in with Slippery Meat. This could also be a way to limit if a survivor can easily give up on stage one hook as well. It also could be used to boost the use or reason to use slippery. They would have to rework the luck offerings after this tho.

Some people just do not care about the finer points of concepts.

Some people just want to be told it’s ok.

Giving up generally has a negative connotation as far as I am aware and the guilt trip at the end of your post reinforces this. Getting out as soon as you hear the killer's TR is different from doing an entire chase, watching 2 gens getting finished and then offing yourself on hook. The latter has everyone else invested the former ends before it even begins.

edit: And you judging clown intoxication a valid reason to leave is exceptionally generous of you.

I see you want to hear it’s ok to give up. If that is your thought process I just stated you might need a break. It’s ok to do so it can give you clarity.

There are people opting out of plague and clown matches because it makes them motion sick or whatever, not to mention old spirit, starstruck nurse, knockout. I disagree with the notion that everyone leaving a match early is giving up for you to be looked down upon. Maybe that one psychologist is right and this game is all about humiliation.

I agree that leaving due to the game effecting them physically, like the clown intoxication, is valid. Also it is giving up. It is not about being looked down upon that is bad it’s ruining the game for the other 4 people. It is not a jab at the individual specifically for leaving just that they do so without considering what they are doing to the other players.

Nice tautology. The drone exists which means she got outplayed. Good discussion. Totally disregarding this is the point of contention. You already confessed to strawmanning in this thread so no surprise here.

Pressure on two survs is better than one dead and if it isn't the big one the banner spawns quite quickly. Run around one piece of clutter and back to it, done, next guard. Keeping a mate alive for them to make it to another tile/allow them to play the pallet is not huge, ok, seems disingenuous to me.

Otherwise people know what to expect and. Artist anti-loop counter is have someone run into the bird. It's not great, does not always work, cannot even be expected in SoloQ but it's there. SM gives the illusion you can actually do something about it and then you get told to learn how to play when you find yourself in the middle of 4 drones. She gets one free dissolution with her power if you can force it.

You can keep bringing up killers to compare her to but that does not change that her power is intransparent (haste), unintuitive (claw trap pallet break), and evidently too annoying (your "struggle in finishing off the kill" => 3genning all day every day) regardless if you understand her power. At least you get to judge people as ignorant on an internet forum so all is good.

Btw there is a difference between giving up and refusing to play.

There is a difference between giving up and refusing to play. The refusing is by not logging into the game or a match. The giving up is from loading in then dc’ing or giving up on hook.

If your mentality is at this point just take a break. The game is fun for the rest of the community.

Possibly. You dunno what you’re gonna face until the match begins.

True wait no 14 games in a row gen rush as I am friendly killer. So yes you do know and thus why killers are tunneling

  • Played 5 more and all gen rushers. So if you hate tunnelers blame survivors.

  • Played 5 games friendly in a row. All 5 gen rushed so wonder why those who want to win tunnnel? Maybe it’s the survivors fault lol.

  • Must be the hex taking effect.

  • The bp and not pipping during grade climb forces it to feel unsatisfying. If those were changed it would be just fun no matter the result.

  • Was it DnD that they were getting agreements with? If so probably that.

  • Your prayers are being answered. Behold a new Killer that will be spammed to take the place of your Whisker infection. Though you will get a new repeat with new champ. So never mind.

  • It should be an option. It makes zero sense that chat is not offered on all versions of DBD.

This happens in all regions I think, we have Nurses or Dr's that do the same thing every game. I think when all four of you are slugged you should have an option to concede the match so you can go next rather than waste 4 minutes unable to actually play the game

I have said the same thing in the past. Someone brought this point up after having a killer dancing around and performing rude gestures. Allowing them a way out after an established time would fix this.

  • Hopefully they alter the negatives from the perk. I can see so many fun invocations in the future. Maybe one that shuffles the gens to remove a 3 gen. Or a reveal of some kind.

  • That is why they base it on frequency. This can backfire so hopefully OP figures out the issue.

  • Use it every time. (Definitely not a killer based thought)

  • The Unknown’s is clearly the winner. It looks to be in reference to a specific style of anime.

  • Playing survivor I see DC’s often. Usually it has nothing to do with who it is against. It is usually they got caught and that means game is over to them. Easy fix make multiple DC’s get a stricter consequence. I have seen it in other games where people will be ok with the smaller ban then as it gets larger they either fix their behavior or leave to ruin another game.

The same events happen when I play killer a lot more DC’s and it matters not who I play.

  • Make an item that a survivor can use to trap the killer with them within a limited space. The trap releases on a down or set time. This can be fun for people who are good at looping as well. The flaw is when it can be used against already slow killer.

This can be solved with testing. Either make it an item that is found in the maps. Then make it only appear with set occurrences. This can make sure it does not harm either side.

Any more suggestions or alterations are accepted.

Yea i guess and Skully gets a notification and the drone follows the survivor at 3.5m per second until it runs out of battery or something like that i just want the drones to be interesting

I see so coding wise this would not be difficult. The only thing would be what this would be. The drones would be like Knights ability without the threat of being attacked by them. The trade off could be that they could patrol longer looking for survivors and multiples of them could be out at a time.

Would they still add buffs to SM and debuffs to survivors? Or should her kit as a whole be worked on?

The drones could have two functions of search or attack similar to how you switch bottles for clown. Then you could search then in chase use them differently. Then you could use them to do things similar to her kit when sent in offense mode, or even alter them to something like they seek and zap similar to a doctor shock. This could make not using all the drones at once for search.

  • Is the reason from what game engine they are using? Is it from how it might affect consoles versus PC? I can see why it could present an issue, but I agree it looks like it would be worth the time investment.

Love the forums not giving me a notification :(

For me, yes. For them? No. Unfortunately, not winning in DBD is usually because you're getting stomped, which I've noticed is increasingly common. Close games are the rarity now and I can't really enjoy a stomp either way. It's either miserable because you are losing badly or I feel bad because someone clearly got backfilled in.

Absolute cesspool was descriptive of the community, at times.

The odds are that those Killers still won. If you actually choose to tunnel with decent perks, you're gonna win 99% of the time. They buy you time to kill someone, even if that person is out of your league.

They don't happen to themconstantly, no. Few people are tunneled in multiple games in a row. Tunneling itself, however, is present is nearly every game.

I'm trying to teach them. Tricks and tips I've picked up over the now SIX years (jeez it's been that long) I've been playing. I try to encourage them, suggest fun builds with their limited perks and guide them. I try to take pressure off them, direct them, etc etc

The messages thing is hidden in settings. It blocks all messages from anyone outside your friends list.

I do go over structures. They're new players, they go down in 10 seconds regardless. They don't have Distortion.

Yeah, if being realistic paints the game in a bad light, that's on the game.

    Here's the absolute unbiased truth.

You will not have a pleasant experience in a lot of your games. You will gain very little reward for your effort. You will need to invest an extremely large amount of time to even get a foothold in DBD.

Why would someone play a game where they aren't going to have a pleasant experience, where the game is an almost insurmountable grind and an extremely steep learning curve.

I enjoyed this game immediately. I do not take a loss while learning as bad. In any pvp game there is a learning curve. Expect losses will occur and just enjoy the ride. If the core game is not their thing then they will probably not come back. It looks like it’s just unfortunate that they do not enjoy what the game is.

  • My first thought was laugh. Then I recalled multiple other posts and thus my first comment.

  • @Ariel_Starshine said:

Yeah it basically is throwing the match and ruins it for everyone. It's like, the matches aren't even that long anymore. Just play it out and if you can't then consider an alternative game that isn't so frustrating to the point where you just give up instantly.

    Exactly!

I always had this great idea of the drones flying around the map to search for survivors

i know this would be a pain to code but that would make the drones actually cool

and for in-door maps they should be able to fly through walls with the burn effect slingers gun has when reeling survs through objects

Flying Nemesis zombies essentially for the coding. Minus the attack of course.
