Yeah.
I don't even think Flashlights are the worst offenders item wise.
That would be Maps, Medkits and Fog Vials, which are the same item copied 3-4 times with one or two stats improved.
Exactly and IMO Medkits are the worst when it comes to variety. Back in the day we had the brown Medkit which just had charges for one heal and was very basic, then the yellow one with a bit more charges, the green one which had faster healing but only charges for one heal and the purple one which had the same healing speed as brown and yellow, but charges for two heals.
Those were good Medkits, because there was variety. New Medkits are all the same, just 5% faster altruistic healing per rarity. And you dont need stuff like that, one Medkit would be enough.
-
Flashlights are the perfect example for useless Item Add Ons, since their Add Ons got nerfed years ago and then were never touched. Realistically, you only need the Batteries and the Low Amp Filament, the rest is barely doing anything or straight up nothing (e.g. accuracy).
And this also extends to Flashlights itself. There is 0 need to have 3 Flashlights which are roughly the same. And furthermore this extends to Add Ons and Items of other categories. The Devs should reduce the number of items to 1 of a kind and the number of Add Ons to 8 or so for each Item. And the rest should be combined into those 8 Add Ons or straight up removed.
Because there is just too much Bloodweb Clutter.
And obviously remove Fog Vials.

Chapter will go live in Tuesday.

Sure, but you got plenty of (conventionally) attractive characters already.
Other players just want a bit more variety.
We already have a big variety of Survivor characters in the game. But people dont play them, because they dont like them. I mean, just look at Haddie for example - there was even some weird movement to give her Skins and then she got 3 or 4 Skins in a row. And guess what? Nobody plays Haddie because she does not look good and people would prefer playing a good-looking character.
Meanwhile almost every game has a Sable, since she is a very attractive Survivor.
For BHVR it is just better to create attractive Survivors since those sell better and especially sell more Skins. Sure, this also means they get more Skins, but for BHVR it is better to create a Skin for all those Sable-Mains compared to the 3 Haddie-Mains around. And as long as Survivors are not different from each other (and they should never be more than Skins), then it is better for BHVR to create a good-looking Skin compared to a bad-looking Skin. Even if the old lady or the dude with the beard looked really unique.

Krasue was the last enjoyable original killer for me until they nerfed the living ######### out of her. That's when I know no matter how good the killer is, licensed or original, survivors will complain and beg for nerfs, and then they act surprised that there is no 'killer variety'. You do this to yourselves so be ready to face the consequences.
So you are one of those people who only played Krasue because she was busted. Because she was unenjoyable before, she was just super strong and therefore common. Now that she is not super strong anymore (but she is still a very good Killer), people dont play her, because she is boring.
@HaliAndEx said:
No, I find the complete opposite to be true. Original killers are more exciting for me. A lot of licenses DBD pulls from are popular, which isn't a problem, but popular = mainstream and that typically comes with types of horror that we've already seen before. Original chapters break that as a lot of the non-licensed killers in the game do have an archetype written around them but is twisted to feel organic and unique to the game.
Licensed chapters I feel as if have more of an opportunity to let players down or just be underwhelming. Springtrap is a prime example of this. Everyone was expecting a full chapter with a killer, survivor, and map, but we practically got a sidegraded huntress and a map that was decent but could have been expanded on much more. Not only that but we've been getting WAY too much licensed chapters recently, the devs are losing popular IP's to pull from.
100% this. Springtrap in particular is a good example - because FNAF is such a huge license, the Devs did not need to make him really strong or unique. People would buy him anyway. Springtrap is ok as Killer, but I dont think anyone would put him into their Top 10 Killer List. Ghoul on the other hand was made extremely strong and easy, because Anime was controversial in DBD and they needed a buying argument for people who would not buy him because of the license.
And you dont have stuff like that with original Chapters.
-
Honestly, I dont think it can be done. I would currently not recommend the game to a friend. I play with one friend and while we do keep playing, the times where we got frustrated and ended earlier or did not play an evening increased. And we both have thousands of hours, so we are used to DBD.
And I think that this is exclusively the Survivor experience. Because Survivor is the role most new players who start playing with friends will first encounter, simply because it is the only role which allows friends to play together outside of 2v8. And there are three things which make playing as a new Survivor insufferable:
- Killer behavior
- Killer variety
- Killer quantity
Killer behavior - we all know it, Killers tunnel. And Killers tunnel the weaklink. And Killers tunnel when it is not even needed. So a new player will have a lot of really, really quick games, where they wont really achieve anything and get barely any points. Which also slows down Progression to a point where it feels like old DBD where you not even got half a level after a game or so. And if that is happening, the fun really decreases. But as we all know, this is the gameplay BHVR wants.
Killer variety - I can only speak for myself and my games, but I barely see Killers other than A-Tier or S-Tier Killers. The issue here is that those are hard to beat and also hard to learn as a new player. E.g. I can imagine that a new player is really overwhelmed when facing Dracula, since he has 3 powers. A few months ago I also faced Killers like Bubba or Huntress (in fact, she was the Killer I played against the most at some point), but this is gone. And I think the explanation for that is Ghoul - because while there are people who want to win and gravitate to S-Tier Killers, there are also people who just want an easy game and want to play a simpler Killer. And I feel that this spot is now taken by Ghoul, who is not only simple to play and grants easy games without much thinking (similar to someone like Wraith), but is very strong and also frustrating to play against. So while I had a good mix a few months ago with some really strong Killers in between, nowadays it is only strong Killers, because the simple, weaker ones where replaced by Ghoul.
Killer quantity - simple: On the occasion a new player does not encounter the same 5-6 really strong Killers, they will face a Killer they dont know and dont see regular enough to remember them or understand them. This is nothing which can be really fixed by any means, this just happens when you have over 40 Killers in the game. I am pretty sure that people nowadays can play 1000 hours in DBD and dont encounter all Killers up to this point. This also adds to the frustration - if you encounter a different Killer which might be weaker and more beatable for a newish player, you just dont know what they do. And after that one game, you might not encounter them again for weeks, which makes learning against those weaker Killers impossible.
Those points obviously dont really apply to new Killer players. Because they can choose which Killer they want to play, so if they decide to stick to one Killer, they obviously will get better over time. And if they decide to split their attention on multiple Killers, this will take longer. But as Killer you have more control over the Killer gameplay you will see. (And I am still of the strong opinion that new players are mostly Survivor players who get the game recommended from a friend and do their first games together… MAYBE outside of Chapters like FNAF, where a huge fandom attracts new players)
On top of what I have written, there are also the amount of bugs and jank you encounter in DBD. As a seasoned player, you expect it and you can laugh about it. E.g. I recently pallet-saved myself against a Wesker. Dropped a Pallet, got sucked back into his grabbed and smashed against the Pallet I just dropped, ending up on his shoulder. Then he got the stun and I saved myself with that. It was cool and funny, but as a new player jank like this would be very irritating. And when it comes to Bugs, you are like "Oh? A Bug? In DBD?!" when you encounter one, because you are used to it as a experienced player. But again, a new player will find Bugs more annoying. Because in the end, how polished a game feels is a huge aspect if you want to play it and while DBD has LOTS of content, it does not feel polished at all.
And you also have to remember that people are just not playing at all and then start to play DBD. Because they played different games before and if they dont enjoy DBD, they go back to whatever they played before, because they are not in the Asym Horror rabbithole like most of us here on the Forums are.
And I am honest, if I would be a new DBD player today, I would probably feel like I would be wasting my time when playing this game.
-
I mean, yeah, the Map is full of strong Pallets, but once one of those Pallets is gone, the area is mostly a deadzone. There is not much to work with outside of Pallets. Does that make the gameplay super boring for both sides? Yes. Does it make the map incredible unbalanced? Not really. It is just bad for Killer first and once the Pallet is broken, it is bad for Survivor.
If they would want to change that, they would need to heavily rework the Map, because they cannot just remove Pallets and then the Map is fine (I mean, they would probably just do that, given their trackrecord). They would need to remove safe Pallets and add Windows and unsafe Pallets to make the map less of an issue for Killer (while the God Pallet is up) or Survivor (when the God Pallet is broken). Would also make the gameplay more interesting.
But clearly not a high priority.

Most Killers are not S tier, or your definition of S tier verges on meaningless.
I think OP meant that most Killers used in Chaos Shuffle are S-Tier, especially since they also mentioned the most used Survivor Item in Chaos Shuffle.
-
I agree, it is the best version of Chaos Shuffle. The only problem is that tunneling is obviously very strong, because there is most likely no defense against it. But this does not really differ from the reqular gamemode and you cannot change player behavior. I dont really see Genrushing, mainly because you just cannot do a Build for Genrushing. Yes, you can get a Toolbox and it can be a Commodious with a BNP, but it can also be a brown Toolbox with Sabo Add On and Instructions.
The only thing I would like to see is that they revisit the list of banned Add Ons. The Meme-Add Ons (Padded Jaws, Coutnerweight, etc.) for Killers should not be included. Technically it is the same as No Mither for Survivor, but even if a Survivor gets No Mither, they still have 3 other Perks and 3 teammates. As Killer, if I want to play Billy, I want to play Billy and not be the Man with the Mallet because I get Counterweight. And those Meme Add Ons just alter the Killer too much IMO.
But overall it is good that sweating was lowered in this mode. This was always my biggest gripe with Chaos Shuffle that players sweat by bringing the best Items and Add Ons and a Map Offering when they have random Perks and this got sorted.
-
That guy really, really struggles as Killer, but still thinks he is on the highest MMR. So either he is not (to a bad player even an average player can seem good) or he is on a special Server with only good players, where not even content creators who play the game for a living are on. You can decide which is more true.
Release Krasue was busted. Obviously not better than Nurse, but anyone who claims she was not busted on release is lying or really does not understand what a strong Killer is.
And yes, I agree, she is not below average. Even nowadays Krasue is an A-Tier Killer. Just super boring to play and even if you want to look for a strong Killer, there are Killers who are better than her AND more fun to play.

Maybe instead of being cleansed the infection should just transfer to the unhooker that way the unhooked can't be tunneled and her infection spreading isn't non-existent.
Yeah, this could be an option. Would make her infection more meaningful and add a need to cleanse it for a Survivor, while not increasing her tunneling potential again.

Sorry, but if you have a 99,9% chance to lose with Krasue, then you are doing something completely wrong.

Hm, i don't really know. I think her design is deeply flawed, but i was enjoying her anyways until that point. To be clear i do think it was a problem but i just feel like bhvr have left us with a killer that just isn't interesting
This is something I also have a problem with. Her mushroom mechanic became redundant, because you get automatically cleansed after being hooked and the only time you need to use a mushroom would be if she infects you and leaves you or if she uses the Chicken Head Add On. But usually Krasue does not play hit and run, because downing a Survivor who is infected is not really hard so there is not really a point of leaving them.
But on the other hand, she needed that change, because her tunneling potential was just too good. (And it honestly did not make sense that her infection was kept like it was on release, considering that they changed that for Wesker because of tunneling. And Krasues infection takes 3 business days to cleanse)

Maybe you're just proving that survivor items are uninspired and could use more variety, different flashlight tiers etc dont change a playstyle either.
Chaos shuffle in general is an illy thought mess, getting blood rush on its own for example with no exhaustion, making it useless. For the second point - well, this is Chaos Shuffle. You might not get a synergy. You might even get Perks which do the complete opposite from each other. And I think this is fine.
For the first point - very, very valid. But instead of making Items more unique, I would be for removing a bunch of Items and only have one of each category. Would also help with the Bloodweb Clutter, if they would only have 1 Item of each and less Add Ons. Reducing the Items would already do a lot - instead of 5 Toolboxes, 4 Medkits, 3 Keys, 3 Flashlights, 3 Maps and 3 Fog Vials you would have one of each. Would already remove 15 Bloodweb-Items nobody would miss. Because there is indeed no need to have 3 Flashlights which are the same aside from charges. Or 4 Medkits which are all the same aside from a slight difference in altruistic healing speed.

No. The just don't care, as shown by every bone thrown to survivors in the last year being immediately ripped back within 2 weeks.
This is true. And everything which was planned at some point gets the silent treatment nowadays. Not even their generic and meaningless "We hear you" is coming from then when it comes to any Anti-Tunnel, Anti-Camp or Fog Vials.
@Topic:
As said above, they will ignore Fog Vials. They decided to give Survivors a new Item, people complained about it instead of waiting a bit until new toy syndrome is gone and the Devs did the usual kneejerk reaction and nerfed it into the ground by making the opacity meaningless. And then there was the double-nerf of giving them Charges. (While they also still have a Cooldown)
I would honestly really be annoyed if I would work at BHVR and would have been in charge on creating the Fog Vials. Imagine you spend weeks or even months of your time to code, implement and test a new Survivor Item just so it can be nerfed a week later and will not be used anymore. They really value the time of their employees I guess. (I mean, the people in charge still got paid, but wasting time, even if it is paid, is not really cool)
At this point, I would be happy if they just remove them and we have less Bloodweb-Clutter in the Survivor Bloodweb.
-
She is really boring to play. The reasons she was so popular on release was because she was new and she was busted. Now that she is not busted anymore (she is still a good Killer), people dont really play her, because she just isnt very interesting or fun to play.

I believe he means that each survivor can pick a different item pre-game (basically they're just skins) while killers can't change their power
And neither they can collect new add-ons during the match as suvivors can do with items
You can change the Power as Killer - play a different Killer.
-
I mean, most Survivor-Perks are awful. So obviously you get more bad builds than good builds. There is a reason why Survivor Loadouts are roughly the same for years.
-
@iOverSpray said:
I think it's a joke to have implemented kick prevention in the first place. Survivors already a brain dead role! Having you not have to consider a strategy such as not dead zoning an area or confining the remaining gens to one side of a map was ridiculous. I suggest every dbd player be forced to beat level 10 on Nintendo tetris and learn that strategy is good.
The issue is that Killers 3-genning from the start is a problem. Because this can happen without any Survivor-Input. It does not matter what happens to the Gens which are not in the 3-Gen, because at some point at least one of those needs to be done. And it does not matter if the Survivors do the other 4 Gens, 99 all of them or dont do them at all. If there would be no limit, Killers who decide to only protect Gens and never go on chases would do that without any issues.
And well, Killers also got buffs to compensate for it. The removal of Gentapping and the increase to Regression of the initial kick to 5% really made more than up for the limit of 8 Regression Events/Gen.
-
To be fair, you dont even know who was reported and for what someone was reported. You just assume it is that you got reported because the Survivor in question did not realize that you have some Aura Read Perks.
First of all, Reports need to be done with a Video to Support, so the Support would instantly see what the problem is. But false Reports dont mean anything anyway, if you get reported, but did nothing wrong, there will no issue for you at all. The person who reported you is just wasting their own time and possibly the time of a person from Support, but thats about it.
That people say their accounts have been banned and they dont know why is either them really doing something they should not have done and EAC being triggered or them rightfully been reported/banned or they have been sharing the game with someone else and this person did something which was not allowed.
-
I mean, the thing is that the feature triggers faster if a Killer is 3-Genning from the start of the game, which is what should be avoided. Because they will kick Gens more often and therefore triggering Eruption more often, if the Gens are close together. And Surge will hit them more often. While Gens which are further away from each other will not be hit that often by those Perks. Sure, it does nothing against Ruin, but this is not really a problem, since Ruin is a Hex and will be cleansed eventually.
I feel that this is intended design, because your solution would mean that 3-Genning is back on the menu, since it will most likely not be possible to do the same 3 Gens twice, if the Killer is just hovering between those from the start.
IMO the feature is good as it is.
-
First of all, Main Chapters are usually not for big changes. So if anything, something would happen in the Midchapter Patch.
But I would also say that they dont need to change anything on Demo to sell the first ST-DLC. Many people will already have it from either it leaving DBD or it returning to DBD. And new players will buy it anyway, if they come here for Stranger Things.

Yeah, I mean, Syringes and Styptics are already dead. (And there were people who said that Syringes got buffed, lol. This is why you see no more Syringes anymore)
So it is working, albeit not all at once.

This depends entirely on the Doctor-player. Overall Doctor is probably mid to low B-Tier, but if the Doctor-player is good, this can do a lot and you will most likely not survive as the average Survivor.
If the Doctor-player is bad, Doctor is a pushover. I have seen Doctors who were mindlessly shocking the whole time and not interrupting anything.

- The data is not correct and BHVR is incompetent
- The data is not correct and BHVR is lying to you.
I suspect its probably accurate, as this is looking at the entire player base. And the reality is, most players, are really really really bad at this game.
Quite rich to say this as the person who said that the AFC is busted, because you chased yourself around shack long enough to trigger it without realizing that the Survivor who you chased was already gone 🤡

Pretty much this. People bought Krasue because she was busted on release, not because she is fun. Now that she is nerfed you barely see her, because she is weaker (but still good, A-Tier Killer), but she is still not fun to play.

I would 100% agree that the Challenges are a clear Downgrade from before. Not only are the challenges less interesting, but it also does not really feel rewarding to do them. I basically dont even look if new challenges released, e.g. I only realized that there is a challenge to do 20 Skill Checks in one game because someone on the Forums wrote about it. Before that I always checked the new Challenges when a Tome Level opened.
And while you had to go out of your way to do some of them, it was still fine. Sure, some of the very early challenges were too tedious or required unfun playstyles (e.g. hooking 4 Survivors in the Basement, which can only be done by proxycamping), but I liked that you had to think which Killer to pick for some challenges or which Perks to use. Now it is just "play the game".
And this is where I disagree with Glyphs - I think outside of the purple one, the orange one and the white one, they were also only "Play X games". Red Glyph was done in one game, same with Blue Glyphs. And green Glyps were X games until you finished it. Purple, orange and white offered something unique, but I found purple quite annoying. I liked orange as an extra challenge, but thats about it.
Would not hate if they come back, but I hope for more improvements on the challenges to make them interesting.

I still think about when Lara Croft released and people were freaking out about Specialist. The idea of people seriously running technician is about as realistic as the idea of people dedicating half their builds to chest perks.
This is always the case that at least one Survivor-Perk is considered "problematic". But this time it is only people who dont really understand how doing Gens efficiently works who think that the Teamwork Perks will be of any use.
Meanwhile the new Killer comes with a Regression-Perk which will most likely be Meta. But people are out there thinking that 5% Gen Repair Increase when working with another Survivor are good.

There's a short that shows just 2 survivors both having the 2 new gen perks, tool boxes and some other gen speed perks.
2 survivors fully completed a gen from 0 in 28 seconds. With a full cracked out build brand new parts thrown in and the invocation perk a gen was done in 20 seconds. Really shouldn't be allowed to happened and you all wonder why killers are tunneling.
Shorts like this are just completely unrealistic and put out ideal scenarios which will never happen in an actual game. There have been combinations where 4 Survivors can repair a Gen in even less, but obviously you dont see those things in regular games.
-
The new Teamwork-Perks are very bad. You can basically run Prove Thyself if you want the Gen speed increase, but Prove Thyself is also really bad and nobody is running it anymore after they removed the Bonus BP.
Splitting up on Gens is still the best way to do Gens, because you avoid the penalty and are more efficient. Plus the Killer cannot interrupt multiple Survivors.
If anything those Teamwork-Perks are meant to be Beginner-Perks, since they reduce noise and increase Good Skill Check-Zones, which is clearly aimed towards beginners. But they are not really useful outside of that.
-
Chaos Shuffle. Will be even better without the possibility of Map Offerings or people bringing the busted stuff. This was the only thing I did not like about Chaos Shuffle and glad that they changed that.
Second would be the regular 1v4.
And I absolutely hate 2v8 with a passion, especially because it always kills queuetimes. And Lights Out is just super boring.
-
I mean, you post your stuff on a Forum and so you also have to accept that people might disagree with you or dont like what you write.
Should that person have called you that? No. But there is nothing to gain from posting it here. Just report and move on.
(And honestly - if your main point would have been to talk about what you have been called, I would be more understanding. But your main point in the other thread was that the players did not leave fast enough… And honestly for that - grow up. Waiting around the Exit Gates to teabag is childish, but getting mad about it is equally childish, especially because Killers have a way to deal with that by pushing Survivors out)

I'm kinda baffled we didn't get any 1v4 changes at all. I guess I hope the mid chapter has something more engaging.
Honestly, this was to be expected that there will be the silent treatment on that one. And to be fair, I dont care anymore. Anytime the Devs want to change anything they listen to the loudest group and step back. So why even bother with trying to change something?
They make money with the second Stranger Things Chapter. They make money with the Anniversary Chapter whatever it will be. This is all they care about.

With the new map design, there are 150 trash pallets all over the place which are just impossible to rush around. So making Blight 4.4 would completely destroy him on these maps, just like removing Nurse's aura reading ability would make her unplayable on indoor maps. I like how people who propose these changes have never touched the respective killers themselves. If you don't like some addons - just nerf the addons, stop messing with basekits which work just fine without addons.
Yeah, I think Hens has never played Blight. He is actually very bad at the game as well. /s
It is honestly pretty unrealistic to not talk about Nerfs to Nurse or Blight. They are both overtuned.
-
@Amanova said:
Each week there is should be an an option to ban certain killers (max 5), for example 1 week without a Blight and next week you have to pick some other killers and on next week you can choose Blight again, many survivors will enjoy it and those who wants to play against Blight can get more rewards and full man swfs should not have such option, give that option to solo/duos/trios
This would just prolong queuetimes, because you have to remember that up to 4 different Killers can be banned in a game. And well, if you leave the option for SWF (aside from 4 man SWF), there would still be up to 3 guaranteed Killers a SWF will NEVER encounter. Does not really sound too good.
@Topic:
Yeah, Blight can get some Nerfs. IMO it is a nobrainer to let him lose his Tokens after breaking a Pallet, because currently Pallets do not really do much against him.
Hens also mad this point here:
https://youtu.be/zflsJkrJW-c?si=6-wIOCxDMBY1V9Jd&t=415There he proposes that Blight should lose Tokens when breaking a Pallet, should become 4,4 instead of 4,6 to encourage to go for lethal rushes instead of just playing M1-Killer if the Tile is too difficult for the player (which would also only really hurt bad Blight-players). And as a compensation, the Speed Add Ons should be partially made Basekit so that going for Rushes is more encouraged.
And I think those 3 points make sense and Blight is really overdue for some Nerf. It is almost as bad as Nurse now that you put Blight as the second strongest Killer on basically every Tier List, which means that he is just a bit overtuned.
-
Is this satire? Or are you from the past and timetravelled to 2026?
But dont worry, you only will have to deal around 2 weeks with that "survivor-sided" map and those insanely strong Pallets.
-
Erm, they already did that? The maps are now daylight and the corn is nowhere near as dense as it used to be. Both of those things made visibility way better.

- Ace made bad play while you where on fresh hook looping around you rather then leaving area, steve does this as well staying in area allowing grab to happen nearby, this is the major thing that snowballed match imo
- you allowed grab to happen at pallet rather then running away with endurance, another one that isnt biggest deal as we have all done that
- bill decided to crouch around in circles as killer is picking up another person while you are on second stage.
A lot of this match could of gone better if they would just add some sort of comm wheel for survivors so that more communication could happen, tell everyone to leave hook then killer either proxies or leaves and finds someone.
Not pointing out these points as criticism just what i saw watching match."A lot of this match could of gone better if they would just add some sort of comm wheel for survivors so that more communication could happen, tell everyone to leave hook then killer either proxies or leaves and finds someone."
I mean, maybe, but this is a good example why communication is not really what is strong, it is good Survivors playing together what is strong.
Because communication would not have increased the overall gamesense of this team. Like, being grabbed at the Pallet after the Unhook which was done by OP. Or Ace not unhooking despite Springtrap carrying Steve (this is btw. the worst thing you can do if the Killer is carrying someone next to a hooked person. If Springtrap would have been better, he would have just dropped Steve to chase after Ace, which would remove 3 Survivors from Gens at once and forces Bill to go for the rescue (if Bill would have been done something useful…))
And well, Bill did not do anything. In general, there was a lot of inefficiency going on since the first Gen was started when OP was already down, two Survivors on one Gen and the third one doing nothing (Ace). And you cannot really fix such a lack of game sense with just communication.

That doesn't seem to be the case for me. I decided to play Vecna because I haven't played him in a good while and then suddenly boom I was basically drop kicked by survivors because sorry you didn't play your main.
I think you did not understand what AmpersandUnderscore said - it is completely correct that your MMR is roughly at your average MMR for new Killers or Killers you have not played in a while. And obviously you will perform worse with those, simply because you are either new or rusty with them.
And this makes total sense - if your MMR would be much lower than your average MMR, you will just win a bunch of games without any effort (since you dont forget how to play Killer in general) before you are at a suitable MMR where you probably would get crushed anyway because you increased your MMR so fast.

Yep. There is no way that the Killer player can ever play badly in a game. There must be other reasons.
-
You can blind the Killer while they are hooking a Survivor. They will obviously not drop the Survivor, but will still get blinded, which will give you the challenge.

This seems so short sighted considering they have already lost most of the new players that came in with FNAF in just six months. They even stated the most common reasons players give when uninstalling (camping and tunneling).
So they know they have a player retention problem and they know the primary cause. Yet they panic and give up within 2 days of every attempt address the issues because of a few cringe streamers and their followers that might not be able to continue winning 100's of matches in a row.
They can make a short term influx of money by releasing broken killers like Ghoul and Krasue and not fixing glaring problems but its eroding their market for future content.
I mean, if you look at the Steamcharts, you see that they basically lost all the players they got with the FNAF-Chapter. And this due to their poor decision making including creating a Killer like Ghoul.
And well, there is also a big difference with Springtrap and Ghoul - Springtrap (or FNAF to be precise) was one of the most anticipated licenses. Therefore, there was no need to make him really good. Springtrap is decent, but nobody would really say that he belongs into the Top 10 best Killers or so. But there was no need to make him that strong, because people would buy the Chapter (and the Skins) regardless.
Ghoul on the other hand is Anime, which was quite controversial. And also not as anticipated as Springtrap, so they made the Killer busted to have a selling argument. Because if you want to win most of your games and have it quite easy, you buy Ghoul. No need to be so precise like you have to be with Blight and also no need for a steep learning curve like Nurse. Just play Ghoul and you will probably be fine after 3 games max.

If you get the right map, you can absolutely bully him. I saw a Youtube short where some guys were bullying a Ghoul for quite some time.
Sounds more like they got the right Ghoul.

Stealth would be a great option if only hadn't literally said Stealth is mostly no longer a viable option in this game and the games main focus is now chases. Maybe if Devs added those very thick bushes to every map then maybe stealth can be option against ghoul but then again all these Aura perks also negate stealth as an option as well.
The problem is not only Aura Read to be honest. It is also that screaming and especially Killer Instinct are omnipresent. And to me this shows that the Devs dont want Stealth to be a viable Playstyle because if you want be as stealthy as possible, you will waste A LOT of time. Like constantly running into areas where no Gens are to make sure the Killer does not chase you or being in Lockers for a substantial amount of time.
Like, every Ghoul plays at least Friends Till the End and many of them Surge as well. You would need to be in lockers constantly to not be found. Let alone that you never really know when someone will go down and when it will trigger Surge, so you either have to let go of the Gen whenever the Ghoul is nearby or you have to accept that Surge will trigger, make you scream and then Ghoul is on you. (Without any risk at all, since Anti-Slugging is cancelled)
On top of that, you only play one out of four Survivors. Even if I do everything to avoid being found, this would mean my teammates are the ones being chased. Not only is this kind of cowardish, but it does not really matter for the game who is out first and turns the game in an unwinnable 3v1.
But I dont know when and if they will change anything about Ghoul. The Devs seem to want to have an S-Tier Killer who is braindeadly easy. They also allow Nurse to exist, which is also not really hard to play once you learned her, so I doubt we will see Ghoul-Nerfs anytime soon, especially because they probably make a lot of money. Just imagine, whenever a new player gets destroyed by a Ghoul, they will probably buy the Tokyo Ghoul-Chapter if they want to play Killer, since they see how strong Ghoul is.

Pig games can be super lame since her buff. Not even defending this instance specifically in the Otz clip. But often Pig players will just run some broken Penti/Thrill hex build against a solo Q team that has no means of coordinating efficiently, and it is extremely boring to play against. Once they inevitably down and trap a couple weak links on the team, you can't finish the gens and if you try to get rid of totems you just get downed. So you just end up either playing for hatch, or if you're the one that's been trapped, you just run around to the boxes until you run out of time. "low tier" really doesn't make much a difference in Solo Q where your teammates are often "low tier" and competent killers can make the so-called "low tier" killers perform very well.
^ this.
Saying that a Killer is weak or low Tier does not mean that you suddenly have fun against it. And I dont really understand why Otz goes down that route, he should know better.
Pig is one of the most obnoxious Killers to go against if they run a Hex-Build with Thrill and Face the Darkness. And in general it is not like people give up against the strong Killers. Like, I can have 50 games each with Billy, Nurse, Ghoul, Blight and Dracula and I guarantee you, the most times someone will give up is against Ghoul. Even if all of those 5 Killers are really, really strong and two are stronger than Ghoul.

After what they have done with the TWD-Survivors, I hope not. Or at least only when the actual actors will/have to do all voicelines.
If it is something like with TWD and Voice Actors only have to do the voicelines (which still should be toggeable, but I know that BHVR will forever ignore this request) and grunts of pains or screams will be done by other people the job will be equally as bad as it was for the TWD-Survivors. And then I hope BHVR just dont bother to get the actual actors.

I think the problem would be that Trapper, while being the weakest Killer, has some very, very unfun playstyles which would then just be better. Sure, someone will say "But if Trapper would be stronger, there would be no need for Basement Camping", but we all know that this is not true. Whenever it is said that if X is stronger than Y would not be done and X is buffed, Y will still be done.
And also - Trapper can still 4K against most teams players encounter on a regular basis. So his Killrate is good and his lethality is ok in games. Obviously you will lose more games compared to stronger Killers, but I think this is also a matter of expectations. If I play Trapper, I basically expect that I will do worse compared to when I play Billy. Does not mean that I will not 4K that game, just that I will get less 4Ks.
Now, when it comes to buffing him - the problem I see here is that Trappers Power is so basic that you would really need to change a lot in his Kit to make him stronger. Because after all he is the Killer who needs to pick up his power from the ground and has to rely on Survivors making mistakes. Most likely up to the point where he loses his identity and becomes another Dash Slop-Killer or whatever. Because I have not really heard any concrete ideas what to do to Trapper while a) keeping his identity, b) improving him in a meaningful way and c) make sure that his unfun playstyles are not used anymore.
Sure, there are some things which can be done - further increasing his Setting Speed for example. Letting him start with even one more Trap. Adding more foliage to Maps. Code his Traps in a way that they always are colored like the ground of the Realm which is played. But if those things would be enough… I dont think so.

You know that it will never be possible to make sound which is as precise from Speakers as it is on Headphones? How would you technically want to do that?
You also dont need to have the game so loud that it is damaging to your ears if you play Spirit. I am not a Spirit main, but I played her a lot and it is totally fine to have the game at the regular volumne I have it when I play any other Killer.
If you dont want to use headphones, this is totally fine - but this means that one out of 41 Killers is not for you. Which is also fine, but demanding that it gets changed (as I said, technically not really possible) is a bit silly, isnt it?

I mean, it would have made sense to do something like that. But if we remember the Ratings BHVR gave their Killers back in the day… Billy got an Easy Rating while Wraith got a Intermediate Rating. It did not really make sense.
Just imagine a Perk like Pain Res being stronger on Billy than on Wraith. And there were quite a bunch of examples where they got their difficulty rating wrong.
