Answer me 3rd party programs are allowed as developers say????

The Devs have said that playing in an SWF and using Comms (like Discord) is not cheating. So yeah, in this case, it is allowed.

i dont think this is my businness!! if you want proper advices you can pay me, am i wrong?

So you dont have an answer and just want to rant, because you just lost a game assuming that they were an SWF on Comms.

    Understood.

There are plenty of ways about it, but devs dont sadly dont listen, i guess they have fear of a lose player base, so even we say add communication in game, they also reject cause of unfair adventage, but that easier way, you can do anything as long as you play..

You did not answer the question.

  • Yeah, this is the standard Gen Spread on reworked RPD. The Bug simply moved the upstairs Generator into the middle of the Main Hall. And RPD is a really bad gameplay experience, you basically have to play in the Main Hall the whole time until at least one Generator is done. If the Killer manages to defend the two Main Hall Gens and the one Gen (at least) which spawns nearby, they win. If not, they most likely lose.

Same applies to Haddonfield or Eyrie of Crows. Really dumb.

  • IMO I can imagine nearly all of them. Some Steam-Accounts are really old, some people where in their teens when they got banned in a game and are now way older and wont cheat again.

And as I said, most cheaters are throwaway-accounts you wont hit with that. Yes, you will probably hit a few Cheaters in DBD when you ban everyone who is banned in another game. But you will also hit people who never cheated or intend to cheat in DBD. And the main group (throwaway-accounts) will not be affected.

  • Nah.

Most Cheaters nowadays are throwaway-accounts anyway. You wont hit them with this. Either they have a free account via Epic or they throw in 3 bucks for a new account.

It would punish people who cheated in one game but would never do it in DBD (or any other game). And it would punish people who made a mistake years ago but have changed completely since then. Even limiting it to a year or so would not really be fair and probably not significant enough.

  • As much as I would like Trapper to receive some love, I really hope they fix that. Being able to place Traps under things to make them invisible (not completely in this case, but there were spots in the past where a Trap was put under ground) should not be a thing.

IMO they should make Trappers Traps in different colors, which will be auto-picked depending on the Map. E.g. when on Ormond, you have Traps which are more white and on Eyrie they are yellowish to blend in the sand while they would be dark for MacMillan. After all, a Trapper would prepare before the Trial, so it would make sense if this includes the color of the Traps.

And Tar Bottle is changed into something else.

M1 killers won't probably be matched agains't those teams or at least that should happen very rarely as m1 killers lose probably like half of their games so their mmr should be too low... But I think gen speed are too fast they should be increased to 100-110s. But tunneling also need to be bit nerfed as that turns the game in favour for killer.

100-110 seconds? How long do Gens need to take for some of you to accept that it might be a skill issue on your side? Almost 2 minutes is way too long.

If anything, the initial Gen needs to be faster with some form of second Objective, which encourages more running around aka more chance for the Killer to get into a chase to build up pressure.

"In order to make eruption less appealing we have introduced a perk that makes the next pop goes the weasel regress 100% total progress on a gen, can only be used once a game."

I don't think survivor players would have liked the above way to "nerf" eruption. They are clearly trying to shift more people away from DH like you say, but I don't think power creeping every other perk is a good idea.

It is not even powercreeping. You will need two Perks instead of one and you only have a very specific scenario where it works AND a way to counter it. This is why I also said that I dont think that it will find much use.

  • 1 month after release, or for time-exclusive cosmetics, the next time they will appear in the shop (1 year usually).

    Dont be ridiculous.

The hoops people will jump to try and justify dcing lol

If OP is telling the truth and people are DCing in their game for a week straight, I would assume the issue lies with OP.

  • @Marik1987 said:

If Shards, yes. Wouldnt be surprised if this is the first original chapter only available with Auric Cells like all cosmetics after Knights Release.

BHVR seem to have money issues (just my assumption when I look at the shop), so it wouldnt be a surprise for me if we cannot get these chars with Shards.

The Cosmetics will be available via Shards tho. And this is known.

  • Will buy the characters for Shards. Mostly because they bring two Survivors and IMO this is pointless to bring two Survivors in an original Chapter, this will just inflate the price and I dont want to spend extra-money for another Skin I wont use and 3 Perks which are not good.

  • IMO Skull Merchant and Knight are very good indicators that we should reduce the number of Chapters each year to 3. Each year there is at least one Chapter which is underwhelming with at least an unpopular Killer and/or Survivor. This year even has two with Knight and Skull Merchant.

What is the point of having 30+ Killers if people dont want to play at least a third of those because they are boring to play?

Let alone that each year at least one Chapter (mostly the Winter Chapter) is full of Bugs. This also shows that BHVR is moving too fast for their own good.

It's not good because of how it can trigger and how its trigger can be denied.

It only works if you're on death hook (effective if the Killer is tunnelling you or at endgame) but only if at full health (you can't just use it off hook). So the best way to counter it is... tunnel. And if it was usable injured, it'd go with DH! It's just... bad design.

I mean, I dont think that this Perk will be used. In general, this Chapter all 9 Perks are not really good. But I dont really understand the complaints - if people want variety and the Devs try to bring Perks which would give variety and people are STILL against it, this just shows that they just want Survivors to have weak Perks and not a variety of strong Perks.

  • Killer Mains complain about too many DHs. BHVR releases a Perk which works with other Exhaustion-Perks and NOT with DH --> Also not good.

    Sigh.

Hilariously that's the point of the nerfs made... If before only those groups can screw badly most of the killer roster, with the recent changes (new hud, eruption nerfs, adding more perks that will improve the genspeed, etc etc) even bad survivors will win easily if they repair generators no matter how much good you are as killer... Honestly this game is slowly doomed to die (they even conviced me to take a break for how much they ruined their game and this was an almost impossible deed to accomplish for how much i liked this game)

Yeah, the thing is, the new HUD does not improve Survivor efficiency. It shows what other Survivors are doing, which is information which is available to SWF.

However, the main strength of SWF is that you eliminate the RNG when it comes to your teammates. If you play in a 4 man-SWF, you know how the other 3 players play, you know if they are good in chases and if they are efficient on Gens. This is not the case as Solo-Player - yes, it might also happen that you end up in a game where everyone is good. But this is RNG. Same time you can end up in a game where every Survivor is inefficient and then the HUD also does not really help.

In the end, we all know what will happen - the Dev will release new Stats which are not much different from before and Killers will once again say that the stats are wrong.

  • Honestly, nothing in DBD really needs Skill. It is an easy game.

The exact same can be said of gen progression perks and Survivors.

I mean, there are not really many Gen Progression-Perks and when it comes to their strength, they are way weaker than Gen Regression-Perks. Which is fine.

Like, Prove Thyself shaves off like 7 seconds, this is way less than any viable Gen Regression-Perk (let alone that PTS is mainly used for the BP-Bonus anyway). The new Perk which will come with this Chapter is also really weak.

And, a little counterpoint - from what I see in my games, being efficient on Gens seems to be pretty hard when I see how much time Survivors waste with other things like Chests and Totems...

  • @Killing_Time said:

WHEN WILL THE DEVS ADDRESS WHY THE F SLOWDOWN IS SO HEAVILY USED?? ITS THE FN GENS AND PROGRESS PERKS!

BECAUSE SLOWDOWN IS THE EASIEST WAY TO PLAY KILLER. YOU DONT NEED TO BE GOOD IF YOU CAN MAKE MATCHES LAST 20 MINUTES.

  • I mean, all the time people were claiming to go against SWFs so often. And suddenly with the HUD-Changes, this is not true anymore and they go against Solo-Teams who are super strong now? Because if it would be true that people complaining about the game would have gone against SWFs all the time, the Hud-Changes would not change much for them anyway. All information which were already available to SWFs.

(Seriously, it is not a big deal. And many Killers will still do fine without Eruption. Some will be put down to lower MMR-Levels, but thats it)

  • @fulltonon said:

We should have lost decent amount of killers with hud buff, so I doubt anyone staying still will leave now.

But I thought all Killers on this Forum go against 4 man Tournament Squads all the time?

  • Very constructive. Might the gentleman elaborate further?

  • This is a Bug´and will be fixed at some point.

  • Ah, there it is. The ultimate statement: "more tunneling (and camping)" due to upcoming Perk Nerfs. Which always feels like a threat aka "Dont nerf this or we will tunnel more!!"

Guess what Killers already tunneled the ######### out of Survivors. And it will not change, you can buff every Killer to Nurse- or Blight-Level and buff every Perk to the strength of current Eruption and Killers would still tunnel.

  • Do you actually play for fun or do you play with a weak Killer and a somewhat weak build and expect to win?

Seriously, Myers is not the strongest Killer, to put it mildly. He got very old over time. And your build is quite weak, even if we dont consider Slowdown-Perks, there are better Perks to use. So either you improve your build and get better results OR you play for fun with a fun build which fits the character, but dont expect to win many games.

  • Why should someone judge people who want to play together in a Multiplayer game?

  • I am not sure about Call of Brine. I would not be against a Nerf, but it might be enough to nerf Eruption. Really depends.

Regarding Nowhere to Hide, I am pretty sure that nerfing Eruption is enough. Nowhere to Hide in itself is fine IMO, the problem are the other Genkick-Perks which make it too strong. But if Eruption is gone, it will be ok. It might be a problem that it powercreeps a lot of other Aura-Perks, but then it would be better to buff those instead of nerfing Nowhere to Hide IMO.

  • Quite hyped, one thing I always thought would fit in DBD would be some Android- or Robot-Killer.

However, I was also looking forward to a Knight for years, so I probably should not be that hyped.

  • Unpopular opinion - all Boons, INCLUDING Circle of Healing, are a waste of time.

All Boons except for CoH are really bad. I mean, I got use of Exponential once when another Survivor had it and one time a Survivor got up against me with Exponential. And thats it.

Dark Theory is a Joke. It should have never existed in the first place, since it affects Movement Speed it had to be weak by default and is unable to be buffed (unless they give it a second effect).

And Shadowstep is somewhat okish, but not worth the time.

And honestly, while CoH is the strongest, I feel that people who boon their Totem over and over again are a liability to the team. They can rather spend the time on a Gen. I just hate it when I see a Survivor reblessing their totem just for points. Or blessing a Boon next to a Killer.

Last but not least, if the info from the German Dev-Update were true, Circle of Healing is also potentially being nerfed. And if that happens, we can call Boons a failed concept if almost all of them are not good and the one which was good got nerfed so often that it is bad.

  • Then Killers have additional excuses why they lose games.

But in general, things like "what if" are not really important, since it is not planned, so "discussing" (as if a discussion in this forum is actually possible) is pointless.

Like, there is 0 reason why the progress of Totems or Chests should be shown. It might give information on Thrill of the Hunt being in play, but this is such a niche case... Exit Gates would be nice, but I doubt it.

And seeing which Gen is being worked on - highly doubt that since the Devs are still releasing Perks which help with that (Wiretap being the latest example, if I am not mistaken).

  • Coal Tower is called one of the most balanced Maps if not THE most balanced Map.

Glenvale is really killersided, unless you are stupid enough to chase someone in the Saloon.

And Ormond is not even that bad anymore, there are Maps which are way more survivor-sided in the game.

Is this actually consistent? Because I see those things sometimes, but not all the time. I just thought that those are Bugs.

  • In 18 games there was one constant factor - you. If you manage to get less than 1 Kill on average over 18 matches, you are probably not as good as you think you are.

Have some records of your gameplay?

Furthermore, this is not the first thread were you reveal that you struggle with the game...

  • @ColonGlock said:

Hopefully, this gives BVHR the data they need to balance the game around coordination now. It used to be "SWF was just a tiny portion of the game" excuse but now the kill rates will tell the tale soon enough.

I am curious, what will be the excuse of Killers when the Kill Rates are not much affected?

Because aside from now knowing that my teammates are really inefficient, nothing really changed.

  • If you put 0 effort in writing your senseless rant, dont expect other people to put effort in reading this.

And whatever you have written - DH did not get buffed.

"Wake Up" reduces the duration of any negative statuses, even Starstruck will last 30% less

    a) This is Vigil.

    b) It does not reduce Incapacitated.

    sigh.

  • Yeah, as others have said, this screams like Hyperfocus. The thing is, Hyperfocus was only really useable when Stake Out got consistent stacks (Wesker + RPD all the time = many Stacks to protect Hyperfocus-Stacks). With Stake Out not being that consistent anymore, it made Hyperfocus less good. And I think This is Not Happening would be a safer version to use compared to Stake Out, since the requirement of just staying injured is easier to achieve than being in the Terror Radius all the time.

Also, I am not really sure how much it would affect players who would not even go for Hyperfocus. I mean, I am doing Skill Checks for a few years now, if they would be half as fast, I am very sure I would mess up a few because I am not used to it.

But personally, because it might be too much with Hyperfocus, I dont think it is such a good idea. I mean, it is probably worth testing, but currently I would rather say "No".

my very first killer game was against 2000h swf so that's not how it works,

ok how many surv games in a row should i win 50 ? 100 mb?

and then again, if that's the way it works then why didn't I get 15 ez wins in a row after the long breaks for the killer ?

MMR is not really helpful, but what I know from experience is that at least at the beginning, MMR can help A LOT. This means that you dont go against Blights with CoB/Eruption/Pain Res/Lethal Pursuer during your first game of DBD. And you will also not go against 2k hour SWFs in your first Killer game.

  • My man played Survivor against complete Baby Killers and thinks he is the king for going against a almost Perkless Trapper who does not know if he is playing Minecraft or DBD.

  • The thing about Reassurance is that it is really bad against the one thing it should be good at - Anti-Camping. Since they changed the PTB-version, the Perk might only be valuable for 4 man SWFs. And there are better Perks to use out there.

The only time I see Reassurance being used is when I am just about to be unhooked so with 0 value.

When it comes to tunneling overall, it is without a doubt easier. Every Anti-Tunnel measurement resolves around Endurance, one hit and everything is gone. DS is worthless, it grants 7 meters of distance. It was already a Joke against strong Killers, now it is a Joke against basically every Killer (except maybe for someone like Trapper or Myers).

And when it comes to comp - Comp cannot be compared to Public Matches. It is a different game.

  • Well, this is the issue with Dedicated Servers. There is a system in play, however, it has to be very lenient, because not everyone lives close to a Server and BHVR does not provide more Servers OR is simply not able to in some regions of the world. And then you have people who need to connect to a Server with 100+ Ping, because there is nothing else available for them. And those Killers will get Hits like this.

You cannot really prevent this, because the alternative would be to make this system really strict, which would benefit everyone with a good Ping (which is not bad), but would totally suck for those who have a bad Ping for just not living next to one of the Servers. So they went with a pretty lenient Validation System which does not really help that much.

  • What is the post of this thread? I mean, aside from another us vs. them?

My prediction would be that almost nobody would care about an indivual Hook Counter for Killers, yet the Devs decided against it, because they want to avoid tunneling. And I would not care about this either, it takes 2 Braincells to remember who got hooked, IMO this information available or not does not change anything.

  • Yeah, Prestige Levels should disappear in the Lobby. (Same with names and profiles)

I dont even understand why anyone gives anything about Prestige Levels of Survivors. It is way more likely that someone has a high Prestige Level as Survivor compared to Killer, because Killers usually play more than one Character, while many Survivor players are sticking to one character and are more likely to have a higher Prestige Level because of this.

IMO someone who has every Killer at P15 is more scary to face than any P100-Survivor.

  • I mean, obviously people in this Forum will pretend that only DH lost you the match. But did you really play that well? I mean, you say yourself that you are not really good with Oni and without any offense, this is shown in the video. Which is no big deal and I have to say, I dont really know how hard he is to play with a Controller.

But it looked more like you were matched against a bunch of Survivors who were above your Skill Level. Which is no surprise given that MMR is only a very rough system, but if it would be a functional system which would grant equal games, I dont think that this match would have been possible. Blaming it all on DH is wrong tho, I would rather blame it on Matchmaking in this case (and quite a bunch of Errors, but again, whatever).

Overall, I dont even think you did that bad, 6 Hooks and a 1K against a Team (I would guess at least a 3 man SWF as well) of better Survivors is solid. What struck me the most way your ability to look into flashlights like a Moth instead of looking up or down to avoid Chainblinds (but then, I dont know how much a controller impacts that) and that you did not pick up the Lisa right away when you downed her at around 5:30. Yes, there were other Survivors nearby, but you would have had a guaranteed Hook, because they would not have been able to blind you (which they did later) and she was a missing stack for No Way Out (which you got later from her).

So, yeah... Overall, I dont think that 6 Hooks and a 1K was that bad of an result when it is not a DH-problem but more of a Matchmaking-problem. Plus, you played pretty nice, despite them trying to be a pain in the butt for the whole game.

Thats not true. Circle around and the killer cannot defend it forever.

If the Killer is not incredibly stupid, they wont lose a game on RPD with the awful Gen Placement. Especially not in the current Gen Kicking-Meta.

  • @Marik1987 said:

    Thats simply not true.

Just do one of those 2 "awful gens" on RPD at the start and thats it man.

Man, people still pretending that the Killer does not have any control over 3-Gens. If the Killer decides to not leave the two Gens in the Main Hall (and other Gens nearby, there is usually at least one Gen really close as well), there is nothing the Survivors can do.

  • Yeah, I was expecting this video to be posted here. No surprise.

True, but the devs have been vague on this subject and have backtracked on their claims multiple times (like changing Blight's hug-tech). I was hoping to address this before any future changes were made.

They actually mentioned this in their Roadmap Additions:

    Visual Terror Radius

This past year, we’ve been working hard to make Dead by Daylight more accessible to a wider audience. For those who are deaf or hard of hearing, the terror radius can be difficult or even impossible to keep track of despite being a crucial part of the game.

To remedy this, we’ll be introducing new accessibility options which, when enabled, will provide a visual representation of terror radius.

I didn't say I didnt want counterplay, I added a potential fix which makes it fair. Current Spine Chill, however, does it too unfairly and heavily in the survivor's favor.

As you were told, the current effect is a placeholder until BHVR have implemented their version for people who have hearing issues.

So I think "too unfairly" and "heavily in the survivors favor" is not really fair if the effect you are complaining about is in the game due to accessibility.

It might increase the amount of trolling though

Example: I'm doing an "escape as" daily, so I'll slap sole survivor/wake up and other solo perks. I'll play normally, but people might assume I'll just let them die because of my build, potentially making them leave me on hook for example

While this is true, BHVR mentioned at some point that they dont want to increase Lobbydodging. And there will be people who would dodge Survivors who bring Perks like Self Care or Urban Evasion (or Adept Davids would probably never get into a game..).

And personally, I would say that lobbydodging would be more frequent than trolling.
