So many horrible Ideas coming up in this thread. The Extra BP for spreading is good but really most of the rest are just bad to the point of breaking the game.
-
Where are these bots that loop good. I keep getting bots from leavers that troll more then the leave did. Had one walk up to me bag 4 times for a heal while on a gen then ran off as i started to heal, Killer was all the way across the map at that time.
-
For ghost face I'd love to also see stalk draining if you 99% someone and leave for the next on top of a buff/nerf pass over his kit and addons. It feels horrible for someone to just 99% 4 people 1-2 at a time then auto pop and slug them all with little effort.
-
That extra 10 seconds on a hook is rare to even hit out of proxy camping killers, and at that point your already shafting yourself proxy camping that hard.
-
Its almost like they don't have a mechanic for that. Oh wait bloodlust. If you cant out chase ang jungle gym on BL2 its more of a skill issue. You'll have BL before entering it with maps now and tier 2 is shortly after.
-
Event almost is almost always both at 50% for long queues.
-
Just put on Lightborn. Dev's will never nerf it and its on an auto unlocked killer for all.
-
Its cause there is 0 repercussions to killers who play this way as the devs said it was alright to do so.

SBMM would make sense if it took actual skill into account. Escaping doesn't mean you played skillfully, it means your teammates played skillfully. Hell, in a lot of matches it means one survivor played well and died while the other three skirted.
But in general it would be better if the system could be intelligent. Look at playstyles and put like with like. Newbies with newbies, team players with team players, lone wolves with lone wolves, casual with casual, etc.
The new player experience is abysmal. Probably the worst I know of in any game. It's amazing anyone pushes through it to learn to become decent. It throws so much at new players instead of introducing things gradually, and it puts new players in the position of getting stomped without understanding why or how they're supposed to play against it.
Or even took scoring in as part of the MMR rating. Dying with with 30k+ and being top of the survivors for the trial is still a loss of MMR right now, where as hatching out at 10k is a + in MMR.
-
Only if passes over maps didn't fill 70% of it with useless areas of waist high rocks and 1 pallet.

Its one of the best perks in the game at the moment but sure
Only cause of the slugging epidemic going on. Once slugging stops its a useless perk.

Can't have perks that show the killers aura??? Object of Obsession, Kindred, WIcked, Alert, Eyes of Belmont, Poised and the blood amber addon for keys always provide great value
Till killer applies blind from the all ways posable. Worst being mindgames that's exhaust and blind on gen and for a bit after.
-
its cause of bad ping on killer side. Killers with bad ping get a buff for hitting and survivors with bad ping are nerfed in taking more hits.

Its a ~90% hinder for about 2s, and during that time you can't attack or charge up other powers. Its a decent window to play against it assuming you aren't in the open by nothing. (where every killer thrives anyways)
Clearly not as a lot even here have said getting meleed while he is popping out of bat form.
https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/comments/1f7ss8x/dracula_has_new_strong_bug/
Link proving you melee before you even leave bat form and can melee in to it for free hits -
You have to spend 40c/s worth of time on a gen for one so it does have a hard limit if they aren't letting kicked gens to go back to 0.

Yeah lethal, BBQ and nowhere are the most used aura reading perks you are correct. It does not mean they are all used in the same match. Like i said earlier my problem with distortion is the fact that it was unhealthy perk in soloQ matches. Many survivors just hide all match doing nothing to help out the team even when they are on death hook and this is why i absolutely hate this perk.
I rather we all are seen than 2 survivors take all the heat, while other 2 hide behind a perk.
the whole complaint against distortion still happens as since nerf there have been 4-5 threads crying about survivors hiding. The perk itself wasn't the issue, its more that survivors get -MMR and next to no real BP unless they personally escape with how rampant tunneling/slugging/camping at 5 gens left is now adays.

OK fair enough. Maybe others see it more than me. I still think distortion is unhealthy perk especially in soloQ. It kills teammates.
it was also the only useable of 3 counters to the 40+ aura reading ways killers have, and only counter to lethal.

You're not wrong, but lets face it nurse gets the most value out of any aura reading perk. Slap predator to Michael and see how much value he gets from it.
just cause you don't run it doesn't mean others dont. I've had 5 PH, Wesker, and 2 blight today in event all running lethal, pred, bbq/nwth, and grim/dms
-
Points where uped for event things? I still see the same points for all the survivor ones.
-
This events offering only works in this event. I can see it for cakes but who doesn't get 100-200+ easily when they are up.
-
Unknown has a lot of addons that work with its ranged power (Exhaust. Broken, Hinder, Hemorrhage, and Oblivious). All them also being the more common of its addons green and lower.
-
Ones i hate going against are.
-Lethal
-Merciless Storm (Only on the double Iri doc build. Its pure BS with checks being anywhere on screen and going both ways.)
-Plaything -
MMR is also taken from survivor side if you main them and go play a killer game once in a while giving no real time to learn the powers right.

There are too many maps for the average player to keep up with. On top of this you have countless variants and countless RNG pallets. It gets worse every time they release a new map and it will only continue to get worse every year the game is in active development. Windows is highly used because it's basically required for a lot of people who can't dedicate thousands of hours to memorize every possible map layout that may or may not be in your next match.
Survivors also have to memorize the counters to 37 killers and all their addons that change how the power works. On top of the 61 maps, their RNG, and changes every update.

My guess is that a lot of them will come when the chapter releases, and most of them will quit almost immediately.
I'm sure a lot of them will just quit mid chapter cause of how the game is ATM.

Flashbangs also effect survivors your point? Do you just want 100% visibility inside smoke bombs? Your in 3rd person compared to killers 1st person so survivors already have the advantage.
Plus there's already a busted combo with smokebombs + power struggle and plot twist on a pallet that needs addressing first.
I more so think it needs to stop Aura in it completely, Stop AI zombies from homing in to survivors in it, and be 50-75% larger so a killer doesn't take 1 step out in .2 a second to see if its the other way. the way it is now it barely covers the small side of an unsafe loop.

Except it's not one-sided survivors got the coolest item in forever that should be base game. Furthermore the general consensus is the void realm is a waste a time for both sides
It may be cool but it harms survivors as much as killers (Even more so to survivors when its vs a Nemesis).

I suspect they have probably increased. But i hold to the theory that kill rates are only as high as they are due to the "giving up" epidemic among survivors right now.
Seriously like 40% of my games a survivor gives up in the first 3 minutes.
The give up player ones generally arn't counted so its higher.
-
Tryhard is a much older term for being a sweat in a game. from the late 90's and early 2000's.
-
Sad is my experience is the opposet for the event. Got maybe 3 killers farming the even and 30-40 sweating for 4k asap.

You must be at super low mmr or something facing baby killers. Happy for you though.
Events don't have MMR so its up to RNG who you get be it someone that just started or the top player as killer. Tho event should be perkless or set ones like 2v8.

Oof so the game is just overall tipping killer sided even at the high mmr… So do you think the Dev's are purposefully tilting the scales that direction?
They have been for a good long time now.
-
Not sure I've escaped in the past 40ish games in event over the last 2 days cause of the sweat. I know I'm not playing optimally by doing 1-2 gens then kicking pumpkins but its an even mode. Its supposed to not be full sweat and tryhards that need the game to end in 5 minutes in a 4k with no points.

If the tunnelling is getting bad you're just going to have to run the perk itself, mori being basekit doesn't give killers a huge advantage like what base ds would, yes it's been nerfed but still usable.
Only if DS wasn't behind a paywall for newer people.

What a lengthy response when your whole purpose was to do the exact same thing they did to you, to me on my post.
I would be so glad if it was just 1 killer that was tunneling but it's impossible to play without a full swf so why would we?
Maybe you should take your own advice here lol
Sames been happening in event mode all day. Last 10 games all are hard tunnel for no one getting points at end but killer getting 30-40k for the tunnel.

I made a serious post, but now I will make a joke one after having an unfortunate game against a very angry Pyramid Head.
Survivors who perform any of the following actions can be regarded as "bullying the killer"
- Working on generators
- Bodyblocking and taking protection hits for team mates
- Sabotaging hooks
- Flashlight saving allies
- Flashlight blinding at pallets
- Flashlight blinding at windows
- Holding a flashlight
- Existing in the same match as a team mate with a flashlight
- Finding a flashlight in a chest
- Owning a flashlight in real life
- Thinking about flashlights
- Stunning the killer with a pallet
- Saving an ally by stunning the killer with a pallet
- Greeding a pallet
- Pre-dropping a pallet
- Looping the killer for too long
- Holding W instead of looping
- Using the perk Head On
- Using the perk Windows of Opportunity
- Using the perk Dead Hard
- Using the perk Reassurance
- Using the perk Champion of Light
- Using the perk Decisive Strike
- Interacting with any special event activities
- Not interacting with any special event activities
- Hiding for hatch
- Using any survivor gestures within eyesight of the killer
- Using the crouch button within eyesight of the killer
- 99ing the Exit Gate
- Using a map offering
- Using any items or addons of rare or iridescent quality
- Playing the game with friends
- Interacting with killer objects, e.g. disarming Trapper traps or arming Flamethrower Turrets
- Breaking any Hex totems other than Hex: Haunted Ground
- Not escaping the trial within one nanosecond of the Exit Gate being opened
- Escaping the trial
- Picking the Survivor role
Survivors found to be guilty of "bullying the killer" can morally and ethically be treated however the killer pleases, including camping, tunneling, humping, head shaking, hitting on hook, head nodding, and being forced to bleed out.
You forgot Queueing as survivor.
-
Its sad killers are crying over WoO when they have the exact same perk with aura reading added to it. is it used by them, no in most cases cause they have better. Survivors on the other hand don't really have better cause all the main staples they had before where gutted.

i think you misunderstood my comment. killers spend time to hook survivors. in order for hooking to be beneficial from time investment stand-point, they need to either get regressed hook or altruistic hits which either lead to downs(reducing survivor up-time on gens) or force survivors to heal. if they don't get either of these rewards, hooking is negative time investment unless the hook is a kill.
leaving the hook → free unhook. that is why those 10 seconds is somewhat big deal because it puts urgency on killer to move away from hooks over urgency for survivor to get to the hook. It is like you get your cake and get to eat it as well. the killer spends time to hook survivors+they don't get that time back in any shape or form because killer isn't getting any injure pressure or hook regression pressure from said hook and this is on top of the 10 extra seconds of gen time per hook. it results in killer being punished for hooking which is where this slugging gameplay is starting to occur. they're getting negative pressure for hooking.
Clearly you don't play killer. As soon as anyone goes on a hook at lest 1-2 people have to hop off gens cause of the 3 possibilities that could happen.
1 Killer is proxy camping needing 2 people to save.
2 killer quick spots someone and starts chase making 2 leave gens.
3 killer leaves hook to apply pressure and kicks 1-2 gens and chases 1 person by the time the save happens. If the save dosnt happen before the first stage ends its kill on next for that player.
-
Forgot to add they all hookcided in LoS of unknown. So any save but the first was imposable.
-
With the recent collaboration I think we also have a good chance fore the wendigo from until dawn too.
-
Void bombs need some work to make it a perk.
-
I doubt the Dev in an in office playtest slug each other like killers do in game now.
-
It's just like Wesker breaking peoples model. Doesn't do anything.
-
You cant Plot Twist a slugger, you have to down your self for it.

Because the result is no different.
Maps don't determine the game, evidently because you would still play out a game that randomly ended up on the very same map. If the cards were in fact being stacked against you, then the advantage would be universal and you would give up the moment you loaded into Eyrie or Badham, offering or not.
If you would play out a game on Eyrie without an offering because you rate your chances, even if you consider it to be more of a challange, then you would stand exactly the same chance with an offering.
In general, the gripe people have with map offerings is a case of confirmation bias and confusing correlation for causation. You don't have a tougher time against SWF because they bring a map offering, you have a tougher time because they're a SWF.
And solos bringing a map offering should be regarded as a small step at attempting the level the playing field.
It isnt even a tougher time. SWFs only escape 4-6% more the soloQ. And there numbers are 1000's of times smaller then SoloQ games.
-
Cause Bad killers cant 4k on hooks and cry about SWFs.
-
They tend to play worse ways in Event then in standard mode. Killers sluggin 4 people only to run around kicking pumpkins for 4 minutes for 100-200k points and survivors go sub 10k.
-
Playing like this is mostly saying I'm not good enough to 12 hook and still think i need to win all my matches.
-
I'm sure MMR doesn't affect event queues. Just puts all vs anyone.
