Would be nice but it's not gonna happen until summertime earliest. Dedicated servers come first I would think.
-
This is unrelated but I remember one time I played myers with a tombstone piece. Me and Claudette were in a hatch standoff for quite a while. She tried making enough space to jump in with out getting grabbed.
Well I was almost tier 3 and we ended up pushing into eachother begging for someone to make a move. So I tier 3 and mori her ontop of the hatch. She didn't see it coming and she messaged me saying she was actually crying with laughter which was pretty funny. -
One thing I will say is that even against a perkless and add-on less legion people disconnect left right and center.
I say get rid of the disconnect button and noone will find it so simple to disconnect.
If you are stuck or the killer is cheating then stay ingame until you die then report them. Disconnecting means that there is no data to prove cheating ever did happen in the match. -
I've been after adept legion all day. Played 8 matches merciless victory in 4/5 BUT because they disconnected I didn't get the achievement even when they were death hooked before the dc.
This isn't the first time this has messed me up. Shame that I'll have to wait to get lucky with well behaved survivors. -
I think at the heart of most complaints there is genuine concern from the person. The devs deserve a ton of credit for making this game what it is today. There are always gonna be little kinks which cause frustration but all in all this game wouldn't be as successful and enjoyable if it wasn't for the hard work and dedication of the devs behind it. (Not being sarcastic)
Dbd has come a long way and it will thrive if things continue, and little fixes and additions are implemented bit by bit in the future. -
Asking the community a question is dishonest now, ok. Maybe everyone who makes a thread should automatically be banned then. Bye Sanity.
-
@TheBean You are honestly just clueless. You can have your opinion but if you think you can try and insult me in disagreement then that is low.
You clearly want attention, so I'm just gonna ignore you. What use is arguing with an obviously ignorant person?. -
@TheBean You cannot fix a problem if you deny that's it's breaking the rules. This isn't about one person, this is about a community trend which has always been there.
As for playing the victim, people like you refuse to look at the facts and when you are told you got it wrong then you make a meal out if it. That's the reason you say I should be banned, because you fail to listen and accept proven fact.
My anger is due to lack of communication from the devs because people like you think it's fine to whinge and whinge whilst playing the victim because you are not prepared to change what you think. Your stubborn opinion and attacks on those who disagree are widening the rift in the already broken community.
-
This is a neutral thread about the community issue that we have.
@TheBean maybe stop playing the victim and we might actually get somewhere. -
@TheBean Let me remind you that the reason this is seen as a witchhunt by 'you people' is because the devs ignored the issue. Should I be banned for saying that? Stop being so needlessly defensive and look at the actual problem.
-
@TheBean except I'm saying that if the devs came out and said something then none of this backlash wouldn't have happened. If you can't see that then maybe stop contributing to the problem.
-
@powerbats to be fair I don't blame you for not being willing to understand in the first place. For a community issue the dbd dev team are really taking their time making it clear what we've all been arguing about.
I hate to point fingers but *points finger* this problem is down to the devs ignoring the problem again and again. I fear they'll brush it under the carpet again until the next person (FW) comes along and does something similar. This is an important issue and always has been. -
Inspiration could be having something other than exit gates as an escape. Just some other options and variations to keep dbd less samey.
-
@Killigma What I'm saying is that you won't bother going over to Friday. The baseball bat is an example. It shouldn't be a meaningful mechanic or strategy to use it. Just for novelty purposes.
-
This is an intersting topic. If you replicate features in other similar games, you kill their buzz.
This would help dbd to remain the biggest and cement its place as the best.
I say you don't know if its a bad idea until you test it. Keep coming up with ideas to make it fitting to dbd.
I can imagine whacking the killer with a baseball bat stunning them in place for a few seconds giving the down survivor a chance to crawl away a little more. Should be fun and novelty and not frustrating like ds. -
Most nerfed perk for survivor - Maybe sprint burst.
Most nerfed perk for killer - Noed as I'm sure it was always active when gens were done regardless of whether there are any dull totems left. -
If you're unhappy about certain things in this game just make your opinions heard and discuss them civilly. Don't insult each other you will just be contributing to the games poop community.
-
Something like that. Nothing too complicated
-
The tip you recieve could relate to the image itself. That would be neat.
-
You could showcase each map or special event with a set of specifically chosen images.
-
Again you two make good point I can mostly agree with.
-
To me Nurse takes a lot of skill to master and once she is mastered she is a lot more capable of destroying teams at will.
I sometimes play nurse on console and I am really bad at playing her. I imagine she is pretty hard to grasp.
If you don't feel nurse needs a nerf of somekind I understand that something you enjoy to play being restricted isn't nice to hear.
You can't deny the fact that when nurse is used at her potential, she is really powerful and unbalanced against even the best of survivors. Sure you can use unbreakable but you'll just be wasting your time because she'll be back before you make enough ground.
She needs something which will help her feel more satisfying and smooth to play but she also needs something which makes it harder for her to be so inescapable for the expert nurse players. -
Unnerving presence at tier 3 helps ds users miss their skill check because its so small. I would say try that it you wanna show them who's boss.
-
I thought the optimisation was supposed to be in the last patch where they made the game prettier. It runs smoother but it's not consistent. Hopefully it's done sooner than later because when it's bad it's unfair and unfun.
-
Some weird underground dungeon or lab with no defined location would be cool.
On loading into the match it could say...
Floor 101.
Location Unknown/Classified
Maybe a sewer map. Just anything underground. -
My system isn't a punishment because you'll always be earning RAG tickets whether or not you play stronger loadouts or killers.
There is no right style, however I want to encourage people to mix up their game. Give them RAG tickets to combat the devs desire not to implement all round balance.
As long as you don't equip the strongest possible load every match out you will still earn a decent amount of RAG tickets. Even if you played as a top tier killer you would get 5/6 RAG tickets at base. Add ons will drag that number down. Still it all adds up. Better than devotion being a thing.
-
Delete Nea and you can have insidious how about that?
-
I think it's a good choice because of the fact there is a good chance there are multiple survivors around hooks and gens allowing you to go crazy on them. Plus get another hit if they trigger a trap on the way out.
-
Delete pallets and delete hooks that'll be interesting and likely boring.
-
This is just something to make players that play only unfun, annoying and unfair loadouts be labelled as less sporting and unpleasant. Whereas those who either play weak/fairly in terms of load out and killer, you are rewarded.
I understand how those who play one load out then go with that every match may be penalized. To address this RAGS will be lenient towards those especially more so if they play easy to win as characters.
Base RAG Ticket rate per match: Bad RAG (2) Neutral RAG (6) Good RAG (10)
Keeping a fairly balanced loadout and consistently playing that will put you between neutral and good RAG per match. -
I'm making this up as I go so if you find fault just suggest a fix to it.
-
If you are one if those clicky flashlight survivors, you will only get a good RAG status if you can mix up your perks and gameplay wise doing some gens rather than hunting the killer will positively impact your RAG status.
Rank is still the main factor on matchmaking. This way you won't get rank 15s v a rank 4 killer. -
Perks which are only dangerous if they are not dealt with (DH, NOED) are not deemed as overpowered. These will not negatively affect RAG status. Even if they do get you the win. This is down to poor decision making by the survivors.
-
The facts are that Wrath is noticeably a lot weaker than say nurse and hillbilly and the RAG system will show leniency towards lesser played killers. A bonus is applied to underplayed killers as a means to encourage you to play them.
-
@Boss You will be deemed as fair and still receive a good RAG status although you will never be in a position where your RAG is reducing as you are far less powerful than the very powerful killers with better means to win easier. The same can be said about survivors who are rely on certain perks.
-
You will be shown on the loadout how RAGS will be affected if you go into a match.
If you play strong killers with the most powerful and unenjoyable perks and add ons with ebony mori then you will get minimal RAG tickets for participation only.
Fairness is rewarded and a chunk if that is determined on the strength and advantage you have going into matches whether killer or survivor.
-
@Boss As the purpose of this scheme is to stop overpowered meeting ordinary players in game, If you use the Wraith with fairly weak add ons (most of them) you will still count as a player who plays with variety as long as you change up your perks a little every few games.
The loadout you have is not strong, this is taken into account when deciding whether you are worthy of gaining/reducing the RAG tickets you receive.
If you decide to bring a mori in or an insta heal in for say... 2 matches in a row. You will not be punished however you will know it is slightly reducing your RAG status.
-
@Boss no you will have similar lobby times. You won't be prioritized to join good people's matches but will be available to others.
You will only be prioritized if you have a good RAG status. If you don't find a lobby within 30 seconds the RAG system is ignored and you can match against the usual. -
Did I mention that if you play with variety you get an icon by your name which shows that you're a good asset to the playerbase. This icon is visible to others and you are more likely to be matched with those with a similar RAG status.
-
@fluffybunny that's what I was trying to say except I phrased it really badly. Could be interesting and make high ranks more determined on your skill.
It would help definitely help balance but having perks which work well together being restricted would be an issue. If the values are fair then fine. -
Maybe if perks were categorized into uses. A miscellaneous perk slot is a option.
Maybe if perks cost perk points and the stronger the perk the more perk points you are allowed in your loadout.
Maybe devotion could give you +1 perk point capacity.
This would be a really bad change in my opinion but these are options. -
For new powers it's gotta be something out of the box and different. Maybe huntress should have an ultra rare add on which lets her have unlimited hatchets. (Maybe nerf irruedecents)
-
Maybe an ice witch who can spawn ice blocks to emerge from the ground and capture survivors in place. Works kinda like shock therapy except not as accurate.
Add-ons would increase the capture distance, radius/size, time to cast and accuracy.
Gives the opportunity to insta down if you do freeze someone. Addons could also add status effects such as hindered and exhaustion.
Maybe survivors can be frostbitten and must look for a fire barrel to warm themself up. -
How about Hex: I know what you're trying to do but I ain't having any of it.
For as long as the hex persists movement speed is decreased by 2% for all survivors and on your first vault the entity blocks the window.
If you cleanse the totem the obsession grants a movement penalty of 6% until the gates are powered and vaults block as you try and vault them(no vaulting😈)
Any negative statuses on the non obsessions are removed in breaking totem. -
Inside pyramid (tight corridors and vast rooms with treasure and dead bodies and sacoughagoths in). Hidden passageways which form drop offable ledges.
Oasis - A desert plain with abandoned market stall. A large pool of salty water and a single bridge dividing the desert plains to the ancient village of Mochaka.
-
I think it's hard to track incidences of communication abuse if it's not being looked at by someone with the power to ban.
Dbd has a small team, they are having a good go, but they likely lack the manpower and equipment to find and deal with isolated incidents of these slurs. -
Just for the record I personally pop in and out of a lot of the big streamers streans from time to time. I'm kinda a neutral and I'm all for you having fun. To destroy other people's fun is selfish and thats my gripe with this issue.
-
@powerbats You completely overlook the problem. When large streamers have a large following and they think it's fine to do destructive things then people replicate this behavior.
This isn't intended to be personal but when you deny you are in the wrong then it creates a rift of ugly disagreement just because loyalty clashes with hard opinion and fact.
I as well as many others believe there is a moral obligation you must fulfil as a fog whisperer. If you don't set a good example then I have to question the way you are conducting this FW role because it's damaging to yourself as a streamer and the game you are representing.
The simple answer is that people copy and see disconnecting as another option for the slightest of things.
The problem is that devs don't know how to cater to the community. They take forever to say anything and enforce any bans people are worthy of. You can break the rules as much as you like until you do it a little too much or make it obvious you are doing so. That's the mentality of a lot of players.
Dbd is a big game with a small team and we should understand that they can't do everything we all want. -
@powerbats how many times did you use the word joking😄 I'm going insane reading it over and over again. I agree with your view on things. But playing to sabotage your teammates is a no no for me.
