I think its a Jonathan Byers skin situation. On the menu screen, Claire's face looks awful. But in game, she looks like she does in RE2make
God Jonathan looks even worse on the menu. He looks like he works in City Wok.

I've had a similar issue but you got the short end of the stick where your uncleansable hex didn't spawn on the playing field at all. I've had a completely obscured Devour Hope before that got to 4 stacks and was exposing people but there was no cleansable totem for it at all - any chance you remember what map this was on? Because it might be a bugged spawn location or two.
Edit: Mine happened weeks ago on Mac estate - Groaning Storehouse though I can't find my screenshots for it anymore
Mine happened on Grim Pantry

Yeah this game needed an optimization update not a graphical one.

It's arguably a hostage situation if they both ignore gens and this goes on for an extended period of time (Like 30+ minutes without a gen being touched, even if you're on the other side of the map, but no AFK crows so they're clearly not AFK.).
Frankly if a gen hasn't been popped in 20 minutes the killer should be given the option to open one of the exit gates, starting EGC early (keep the other door locked) and revealing the aura of survivors and/or exposing them. Maybe the other parts are a bit overkill but the idea is if survivors ARE actually ignoring gens, the killer should be allowed to "Punish" them for wasting everyone's time and force the match to end.
I agree

- They might be new players. New players tend to try to just hide and hope it solves their problems.
- If they're stuck at a 3 gen, there's not much they can do about it besides just die. You can't blame them for not wanting to die...
- You can't get mad at survivors for hiding. Go out and look for them. That's not survivor entitlement. If anything, you're acting entitled to getting a 4k.
1- They are rank 3 and 5 and I'm pretty sure they're not new players.
2- That doesn't mean they have to drag out the game to 40 minutes.
3- I did look for them and they were clearly hiding as I did not see any trace of them.
-
Update: After about 25 minutes they've gotten bored and started loud notification spamming for me to chase them. It took me about 20 seconds to down the Feng without any traps and the Yui died thanks to a trap after saving Feng with Feng quickly following her after triggering another trap.
After the game they said that I play like a rank 12 killer (I am rank 1) and did not respond to anything I've said.

I'm wondering this as well and my guess would be yes

Spoken like a true Killer main! I assume you think Spirit isn't nearly as overpowered as she actually freaking is. Lol. How the hectuck does his T3 literally last INFINITELY? Even in the movies that crap ran out fast!
Have you ever played myers with those addons? It literally takes you ages to level up to T3. Unless you're playing with dumb claudette mains it's only detrimental to the killer.

Not with stridor it don't

Good answer.
I used to run Discordance on every killer. But there were too many cons to using it: 1) loud noise every 8 seconds. Spirit relies on sounds. 2) Proc makes me think about dropping chase, makes me nervous. 3) if they dont work together, its a dead perk. 4) you scare both of them away and the guy thats not chased goes back on it and finishes it anyway
It is true that the load notification noise can be rather counter-productive but I don't think it is a huge issue if you have discordance 3 as there is a lot of time between notifications. Discordence is good in my opinion because you instantly know when there are multiple survivors on a gen and even if it doesn't pop it means that you have a high chance of coming by a survivor repearing a generator if you pick a gen to patrol.
Anyhow I have always hated the fact that discordence gives periodic notification sounds I think it should just light up like whispers (although whispers has a sound cue as well in the form of whispers) and all you have to do is look around and see which gen they're on.
Although I don't like hexes because they are unreliable it is also fun to use prayer beads + ruin and surveillance if you haven't tried it.
In any case pop + bbq should be more than enough for your needs.
-
Pop is essential for slowdown and while I'd suggest discordance in its stead, bbq is a good perk to locate survivors as even with a killer that's highly mobile locating perks are essential in order to apply constant pressure so that gens don't fly.

Except Operation: Health broke the game; A lot of people don’t remember how broken it actually made the game. Something like this does need to happen, though
I know I meant something like Operation Health that works as intended

Yep, same. Only time I go against good teams as killer is when I vs swf. Otherwise I get lumbered with literal noobs.
And as survivor the killer and my teammates have pretty much just picked the game up the day before at most.
I hate this new system, if it's supposed to take ages to "determine our skill rating" then that's ridiculous. You can't expect players to drag it out for weeks (maybe months) vsing noobs that grant you minimal points unless you hit them and afk to literally farm them (which is stupid and I never do because I don't play the game to be bored!)
Same for me as well. Literal potatoes or 4 man SWAT teams with OoO
-
Yeah this game has been without proper settings nor optimization since launch. I think instead of a new chapter something like Rainbow Six: Siege's Operation Health where they focus on optimization and bug fixes and perhaps QoL additions would be much better.

What this guy said.
Thought it would be obvious
-
I think he should be an 85% killer like nurse and he should only have 1 bottle. His reload time should also be increased by 30 seconds as just a mere 10 second increase just won't cut it.

First of all, thank you all for your feedback.
My last game as the killer was yesterday and it honestly made me rage quit it. I'm a person that gets easily triggered when it comes to video games, and I really hate the fact that some survivors are just treating you like crap the whole game.
I really was playing nice, I wanted to try the doctor but I still don't have BBQ, Corrupt Intervention or Pop Goes The Weasel so I get gen-rushed easily. I'm literally playing with trash-thier perks atm because I don't have all the killers but I'm trying my best not to rely on the perks for now.
There was a Dwight who was clik-clicking me the whole game, I was dumb enough to chase him because I knew that that's what he wanted but I still did go for it and lost 2 gens because of that. At some point, I downed a Claudette and I stayed near her because I wanted to secure my kill even though I really don't wanna play like a toxic killer, at the moment I really felt like I should do that. They obviously saved her with BT and they started t-bagging me so I just quit the game because I was really mad.
One of them messaged me (I'm playing on console) "Imagine camping someone and still lose the kill? GG Ez"
Yeah of course it's easy, you're a rank 1, probably with hours and hours of gameplay (I started the game 7 months ago) running DS, BT and Dead Hard and you're still crying about a rank 16 trying to secure one kill. (I still wasn't playing with NOED)
Most of you are right about that, I think if you play the nice guy and play by their rules they're just gonna take advantage of it. It made me think of all the time where I was in a survivor game and the killer was tunneling someone in particular because he trolled the killer. Now I totally understand lmao
Just try and ignore the type that wants your attention because chances are they are god loopers. Try to hit them once and leave them if you can and if you can't leave them immediately. Try to find the weeker players and focus them. Always try to face walls or suddenly change direction when picking survivors up to counter flashlight saves or just bait picking up to see if someone is around. And most importantly don't let them get the better of you. If you tilt you'll make mistakes. Laugh it off and focus the weaker ones.

It is not, at least in my region. Killer times are nearly instant in the evening / night, when survivor queues take some time. During the day it's the opposite, survivor pretty instant, killer takes some time.
Also your causation is wrong. If there are a loooooooot more survivors currently playing, it makes the survivors queue times longer, not the killer ones, they will find matches pretty instantly bc there are so many survs to fill their lobbies.
Same queue times for me

Try actually reading what was written instead of what you want to be written to prove an unsaid statement wrong. I quite clearly said that most games hide mmr and only show general ranks. I don't even know how you can misread that unless you're intentionally trying to. Or are you just not smart enough to realize that mmr and rank are 2 different things?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1512704#Comment_1512704
Unless you're also the kind of person who's ignorant to the difference between mmr and rank, how did that possibly prove your statement correct? And even if you don't know the difference, why would you bother posting your original statement when this game still obviously shows rank?
Mate in this game not even a general rank is shown so it's completely hidden

Just slug
-
I played like 20 games and after a wave of potatoes and newbies I've started getting 4 man death squads so it's working for me
-
Broken
-
I main Oni because he's very fun and rewarding to play but I play almost any other killer as well.
Yui as survivor because Kumi Daiko Performer
-
That is indeed quite the problem
-
It's horrible because no one wants to prestige a character 3 times and spend millions of bloodpoints just for a single perk

i came from ps4 to pc. Survivors are hardcore swf on console and everybody play with their 4 swf. On pc, survivors play solo survivor. It is really easy. I hope dedicated servers change your mind. You are terrible lol
I am consistantly rank 1 killer but yeah sure you're deffinetely not rank 17 killer on pc at all I'm just terrible

You're seriously gonna say that because I'm on console it's not as hard? You do realize that everyone who plays on console faces the same adversity as the next guy right? You dont have to own a $2,000 set up on PC to be good at a game just so you know.
Survivors on console have extremely bad movement and can't loop so yeah it's the same as going against green/yellow ranks on pc.
-
Extremely bad bait
-
Because you play on ps4. That's the only reason. Play on pc and you'll be crying your eyes out.
-
Demogorgon is really fun to play but is an underwhelming killer. His perks suck except for surge which is above average.
Bubba has recently got a buff which made him quite viable but I don't find him a very fun killer to play. He has BBQ which is an excellent perk especially for farming but I don't find myself choosing it over discordance or whispers on most killers.
Ghost face is decent to excellent depending on map. He is mostly an m1 killer so he isn't all that fun to play except for sneaking up on people while you have no terror radius or red stain. He has 2 decent perks, one being the highly underrated I'm All Ears with the other one being Thrilling Tremors which is a decent info and slowdown perk.
Michael is one of my least played killers so I may be a little biased but I don't find him very interesting, even though I like the Halloween movies. Some find him very fun to play and he certainly has some very interesting builds like Burger King Myers. He has decent obsession perks that I find myself rarely using.
Freddy is my least played killer because I find him to be too powerful but it's mostly because I have framerate issues on certain maps in the dreamworld. He has teleportation which he can cancel to trick survivors into leaving gens, he has excellent anti-loop, he has slowdown because some survivors try to escape the dreamworld and when not in the dreamworld he periodically becomes invisible. He has below average perks.
The Pig is another killer that I find very fun to play but very underwhelming as well. She has decent slowdown on theory but sometimes RNG works against you and your power is rendered useless. She has some decent mindgame potential with her ambush attack as well. Surveillance is the only noteworth perk and even that isn't all that great.
The Executioner is quite a strong killer and quite fun to play as well. He has some map control with his barbed wires, decent mindgame potential, and 50/50 feints with his projectile attack. He can also counter ds with his cages. His only noteworthy perk is deathbound imo and it isn't all that great.
Watch some gameplays on youtube before deciding as well.
