Treat each stack as a down. Even having just 1 is a big difference, but having multiple will make it impossible to loop you and will have ppl tossing every pallet instantly.
It's already almost impossible to loop spirit fury without a god window. But Nemesis + PWYF is gonna need you to find someone, eat a stun, and then chase that specific person for like 50 seconds to build up 3 stacks.
That's 50 seconds of 3 people on gens, not including the time to find and get stunned, and then you lose a stack to down the guy you are chasing, so you can be losing ~2 gens worth of time to get 2 stacks and a down.
So you basically need to turn them into a multiple slugs or you can be liable to almost lose the game just building it up twice against a really good team.
Very observant players will also notice you are using nemesis, and thus probably play with your food, and they will avoid pallet stunning you. Spirit fury you can bounce targets and instantly nail someone without warning. You also build it very fast with an insta-saw, especially if you predict the pallet throws correctly.
I would use it on like myers, because he can get benefits from the speed from better stalking as well. But on bubba specifically I think spirit fury is the way to go.
-
Any low mobility killer will be needing corrupt + pop now. That gives you a solid 2 minutes of a smaller map while also securing a 3 gen for the late game in a lot of cases.
The games do fly without ruin though, especially if people are rocking socket swivel commodious toolboxes, which they commonly do at red ranks.
I think the new ruin will be a massive, massive buff for toolboxes since you can just park yourself on a gen and bang it out in like 60 seconds without having to worry about skillchecks anymore.
Each commodious probably takes a solid minute off the game if there is no ruin. BNP+Socket Swivel commodious toolboxes will have you completing your first gen in maybe 45~ seconds? And that's before prove thyself or resilience is stacked onto it.
Defending hooks is going to be way more important now, unless you are playing someone like spirit who can probably just mow everyone down anyways.

Slugging is one way. I use to run a build on him with Infectious fright that worked pretty well. You can also try a build like THIS one which centers around PWYF to make him unloopable once you get afew stacks.
This has been a popular approach lately and makes him feel like a real threat. Figured with your PFP being what it is... You probably have nemesis.
Takes too long to build the stacks imo. May as well just rock spirit fury and the beasts marks. You basically get a free saw every 2 pallets and unlike billy, it's almost impossible to miss.

Player killer is hard. Its stressful as F***. I play both survivor n killer more killer because lobby's are crazy long 10min or 7min. Killer is like 15 seconds the most. (Ps4) for the most part i notice as a survivor a killer well "face camp" when they suck or they are new. Dont get me wrong it does happend in the low ranks but not as often. Now playing killer its hard. I play rank 2 n 1. Out of 10 games 2 games survivors well kick my ass n yes ill get the clicking n tbag's. Thats just normal i never message ppl killer or survivor....but let me till you survivors are salty! The messages are end less. I just love to play along with it.
You can face camp all the way to rank 1. Especially with a defensive killer like bubba or hag. Bubba can facecamp with almost impunity if you get someone down early at 5 gens.
It's definitely fun to camp down toxic survivors. I had some streaming legacy claud clicking her flashlight, teabagging at every pallet, and generally just being annoying as crap earlier when I was playing bubba.
Facemped her to dead on her first hook at like 3-4 gens left. And when I watched the steam the guy playing was like "EVERY GAME GOES LIKE THIS DBD IS SO TOXIC" But seriously, what do you expect when you play like that?

Dead Hard is free... Janky or not its a get out of jail free card, or extends Chase's at the very least.
Adrenaline is one of the best swf and reliable perks as you can combo with it.
Borrowed time? What... It still stalls for time. Reguardless. A good survivor needs just one unhook at end game and it's over.
DS I will not accept anything other than that it is too strong. It has been buffed, "nurfed" and "nurfed" again, however it is still so strong. In addition to "waiting" as it is put that is still a forced action still granting value off the perk. So that is the most reliable perk in the game. You get value if you have it up, you get value if you don't. Heck you sometimes get value not even running the perk if the killer is being safe.
DS was only nerfed for a short period of time, then once they added in the uncounterable 5 second stun I think it was a buff overall
-
I rock all stealth perks usually, because I respect high ranking killers enough to be able to down me relatively quickly.
When I load in and it's a rank 1 P3 IF nurse, or someone else unloopable, I always thank myself for not bringing a looping build.

Play mothers dwelling or a farm map vs a spread out team and tell me that...like I said..I'm not in the mood to argue
And why do you think I run corrupt intervention? Because it makes the map half the size until you have all 10 traps laid at your probably 3 gen.
I can tell you are probably not a very good trapper or hag player.

She can't be everywhere..and every trap destroyed is more time she needs to set up..plus low movement speed extends the process further..I love hag but certain maps just get her too hard
She literally doesn't have a bad map. Every single loop and window in the game can be shut down in less than a second with fast traps.
I honestly find her biggest weakness to be people setting off traps when I am carrying someone, which is why agitation is god tier on her for that reason, along with the extended basement threats and corner-hook threats it brings.
It also why slugging and sloppy are so good on her, because it takes 1 second to lay a trap and 20 seconds to heal the damage it causes.
-
I will put it this way, there is no other killer in the game I can be chain slugging literally across the map with. Slug someone, next trap goes off, boom im 60m away on the next chase.
It is absurd for solo Q survivors to have to deal with, and I am glad more people don't play her.

You clearly dont understand her that well...but I have no energy to argue with you right now..I tire of it
I play her a lot at rank 1. Corrupt intervention makes any map a good hag map. Or ruin if you feel like defending a totem. 2m is plenty of time to get all 10 traps down, and by then the survivors can basically be screwed unless they have urban or flashlights.
You can get away with only 2 perks on hag, monitor and sloppy. Anything else is really just gravy.
I personally use corrupt + haunted as the other two because a minute of one shot traps while everyone is funneled into the trapped area of the map is game-ending in a lot of cases.
-
Why are people using play with your food and nemesis on non-instadown killers? That is trash, and will take way too long to build stacks against good survivors just to have to waste them all for a single down.
I always do brutal + bamboozle + ruin + pop. Brutal and bamboozle are the only chase perks you need, brutal because people will be forced to feed you pallets if you are landing bottle tosses or zoning correctly with bottles, and bamboozle to shut down any problematic windows and turn almost every jungle gym unsafe.
Ruin and pop are just meta, and clown needs the extra power. I will swap ruin for corrupt every now and then though.
-
@immortalls96 said:
Shes limited by maps too heavily otherwise shed be a contender for top
Hag doesn't have a bad map. You slap on the range add-on and the traps can be teleported to like 65m away or something ridiculous.
I always use fast traps + higher range traps on her. Rusty shackles is outright broken so I don't use that because most people will just DC.
Super overpowered and easy to play killer. I can't believe the devs are nerfing doctor when killers like hag exist.
-
They are junk for the most part. Unless you are playing trapper, hag, or are also running thrill of the hunt, expect them to be dead within the first minute of the game.
I typically run haunted grounds these days if I want a totem, then I am happy when they spawn on it.

Do you mean stealth play? Is that the 4m gamer? Cause that might be my problem along with a little biut of broken axe throw hitboxes on xbox cause killer is host, I never play stealth, I'm usually the guy who loops the killer for 3+ gens
Spine chill, or good game awareness, lets you be the 40m gamer.
Stealth is optimal in DBD. You waste just as much of the killers time as looping, and don't waste pallets doing it. Good luck looping competent killers on maps like hawkwins, sanctum of wrath, shelter woods, etc etc. You will burn every pallet fast and then your team is screwed.
Looping is a last resort to me. Good killers will realize you are not worth chasing, even if you run a full aggro build like object and head-on. They will leave you and kill off your weaker teammates instead.

I know, I can usually outplay them every time, but this specific player I'm telling you about lands EVERY freaking axe throw... I don't know man! It's just amazing! I guess he never plays any other killer, I'll get the GT tonight for you if you want
I have faced and escaped against incredible huntress mains like Umbra and Coconut RTS, and they can still fail on the worst maps. I know it because I beat them multiple times. Especially if I was running dead hard and can juke a hatchet by pushing E.
Huntress's counter is being a 40m gamer, never allowing her to really chase you. All she is good for is the chase, if you deny that, she is nothing.

Yeah, I got to admit, when I go against Legion, it’s very hard to hold W.
If you can't get an M1 hit on an injured survivor, you are just getting outplayed. There's so many free win maps with legion.

It doesn't matter. I still remember my first games as the hillybilly 3~ years ago, getting absolutely demolished on old badham preschool. Any new killer is going to get stomped over and over until they improve, or quit.
-
@Demogordon_Ramsay said:
I personally think the best build for Legion is Adrenaline, Spine Chill, Inner Strength, and F—wait, Legion is a Killer? I thought this game just let 5 Survivors queue to one lobby.
You gotta be kidding me. Legion is one of the most faceroll killers in the game. You literally get a free injury every time you see someone.
You must struggle for your entire whopping M1 hits.
Try playing wraith to actually get good at the game.
-
New ruin will still be very good, especially combined with sloppy butcher for a hit-and-run playstyle. Force people off the gens with sloppy butcher hits, and keep bouncing targets while the gens passively regress.
It just won't be a "Hey my ruin spawned in an incredible location, now I win the game" kind of perk anymore, because it was just that powerful.

That's about as good as it's going to get. Legion is one of the few killers I would bother with dying light on because it doesn't matter if the obsession gets a free botany knowledge when you can frenzy everyone.
Maybe dump ruin for corrupt intervention.
-
It goes the other way as well, giving rank 15 survivors to face rank 1 killers. Absolutely broken matchmaking currently.
-
@Carlosylu said:
If you do know how to use her and you "toxic play" you'll own any SWF, there's a bone huntress with a boar head on rank 1 xbox who literally gives you no chance.
She doesn't camp, and as soon as you get unhooked she throws AND LANDS axes from pretty far away either downing you again or hitting the "hero"
Huntress can easily be looped if you know what you are doing. Especially on bad maps like the preschool, where I will make you fight for every single hatchet, and hump every busted building that exists.
-
It's probably spirit or hag. Maybe nurse if you are a god with every blink. Huntress is another easy mode killer sure, but she can't be chain slugging across the entire map like a god tier hag will be.
-
Pips don't really matter anyways. You can start off a game with IF billy, slug everyone in the first 30 seconds of the game, and depip for it.
Take the DCs as an honor, because you dumped on them hard enough they ragequit.
-
DS is pretty easy to play around honestly. It's only really annoying when you get nailed by it 55 seconds later.
-
Spine chill absolutely dumps on ghostface, and is already an S tier perk to begin with. You can also stack it with resilience for the vault build.
If you are struggling with stealth killers, try running it over the meta.
-
Slug if there are multiple survivors in a bad location.
Slug if you are running IF and are confident you can quickly down people. Slugging only works if you are downing people faster than they can be picked up, and can easily be punished by competent players.
Slug if you got some fool running straight behind you with a flashlight while you are carrying someone. My standard response is to just drop the survivor and go straight after them. It is funny how many survivors will boldly rush in for a save when they are the last person not on a hook or slugged.
Slug during endgame if you want to try and get greedy for the 4k still; but be aware you might get unbreakabled into no kills by really good survivors.

Noed is not that strong, and can be broken, fire up is there always. Also it's strength comes from the fact that it adds enough time for you to do certain things at the gate phase that you couldn't do, if say they spawned on either sides of the map. It makes it about the same as if it they were close.
So for killers who are very good and 3k and close hatch often, it basically secures a 4th kill always at the phase, instead of close hatch into a gate escape cause they predicted it or the gate spawns were bad.
Whispers will basically always secure a 4th kill if that is what you want, assuming you find the hatch first.
Fire up is just trash. It offers no tangible benefit until the endgame, where all the good pallets will have already been broken, and it's only ever worth using combined with brutal so you can stack the pallet breaking speed.
NOED is insanely strong, and basically guarantees a kill or two at the endgame if you make it there. Even if it gets broken, it still lets you get a quick down so you can at least camp a hook for your kill. Best case you slug the entire team with it.

Yeah that sounds about right, matchmaker probably puts you against red rank survivors, high ones usually SWF in about 8/10 of your games too. Tough spot that is.
Yeah I would probably get STBFL and then use whatever you feel you need. I've used lightborn and franklins if they all have like flashlights or all toolboxes. STBFL is actually very strong but there are other perks also very strong, but that is the easiest one to use with him I find. Simple and effective.
If you are concerned about the endgame, you may as well use a far more powerful perk like NOED. Do you want to pick up a downed survivor .1 seconds faster, or just 1 shot everybody?
-

Fire up can be scary good if you are a very good killer. There are some killers that use fire up to pull off some crazy end game stuff. Otz comes to mind. Just, not a perk everyone should take, you have to be the kind of person that can manage your actions down to the seconds.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/996949#Comment_996949
Depends on what I feel like doing at the time. What rank are you as killer? That has a bit of an affect on it as well imo.
Thing is Noed, ruin, things like that absolutely wreck in lower ranks because people just can't deal with them- in higher ranks Noed and thrill would be pretty much useless.
Instead of NOED against higher rank survivors bring devours and BBQ and portal it when you know no one is watching; then even if they feel they are winning suddenly you break out that unexpected devours and all hell breaks lose as they try and find it, that is always fun.
Generally though, BBQ, PGTW, STBFL are all very strong perks on him, especially STBFL once you can land your shreds efficiently.
If you struggle with pallets then yeah, enduring and spirit fury might help, but I generally don't use them because I break so many pallets with shred as I use that for the hit since if they pallet I break it and hit them at the same time, isntead of just hitting them and getting stunned and having a pallet left to break. Demo's shred is VERY good despite what a lot of folks try and say, his weaknesses are elsewhere.
The only reason I would ever use fire up is on like tombstone myers, where I expect many gens to be done before I reach my power level. Bamboozle and brutal strength give you the same power straight off the bat, without having to basically be losing the game before they come into play.
Otz can use whatever he wants because he is a good killer. Good killers can run around with 0 perks and probably do fine. Along with good survivors.
The problem is, most people are not good at this game.

Those builds are just so awful.
I can't really ever see any true value out of cruel limits unless you are offering Haddonfield and also using tinkerer. And even then it's pretty garbage.
There is no reason to ever use spirit fury without enduring, because on many maps the stun is long enough to reach the next safe pallet.
Fire up is basically a meme perk, and you may as well use bamboozle + brutal if you want a full chase build.
3 chase perks is committing way too much, you will need some slowdown or utility perks unless you want to get dunked on by red rank survivors.

Im just curious. I play both sides but title myself a killer main because I have the most hours and fun with killer. Atm I play a lot survivor (like 70% of the time).
So I wonder are there players who only play killer?
I know many 100% survivor players, only touching killer for dailys sometimes. But I havent encountered the opposite tbh. Do they exist?
I used to only play killer, but I will hop onto survivor every now and then. But usually, I am frustrated with the bad matchmaking or killers running the overpowered characters and items. I probably play killer about 80-90% of the time currently, because it is nice to not have to rely on your team to get the job done.
Killer you can only blame your losses on yourself; survivor you can get a rank 15 team to face a rank 1-2 killer and it's pretty pointless to even try.
-
A really smart killer will follow you for 15 seconds and then hit you, so it's pretty risky to do.
-
I hate when people compare keys to moris.
Mori's are on an entire level of their own. Keys are only "OP" if it's a SWF group on comms. Even an ivory let's you tunnel someone off at 5 gens, instantly ending the game.
Half the time when I run a key I can't even communicate to my team that I have one and they die anyways.
They are also one of the few things that make solo Q survivor tolerable at the moment. If they ever fix the busted matchmaking I will feel bad about using them but why do I have to die every game I get some rank 15's as my teammates to face off against a rank 1 killer?
-
It was good but corrupt intervention is the better, and more consistent, perk on most killers.
I really only use it on hag and trapper anymore because both of them can actually defend it very well, especially hag.
Agitation hag is absolutely brutal if you can drag someone over to the ruin and hook them next to it, because then you can basically camp with impunity.

That's not admitting anything. The counter is and always has been "Do gens and leave".
EVERY seasoned DBD player knows this. They also know that camping, while scummy, is a legitimate play style. Killers don't have to follow your imaginary survivor rule book.
I am a killer main. There is no counter to the kind of camping I can bring to the table unless you are SWF.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/994487#Comment_994487
Yes. That is how you counter camping. Even with BT, you can't get the save unless they allow it. They will just interrupt the unhook and grab you.
My goodness, you really must be new. You are literally the type of player that makes camping work, and by association, the type of player that makes campers keep camping. Stop feeding them more kills, and don't let them get more than one.
Well thank you for basically admitting it has no true counter. I have maybe 5000+ hours in the game, I would not consider myself new.
I can camp down 2 survivors in the time it will take the rest to bang out the gens, assuming they are just pounding them out and not messing around trying to get the saves (which they usually are), and then get at least 1 more trying to open an exit gate.
The overwhelming majority of the time, gen progress entirely stops, because nobody wants to see their teammate die on first hook and they will hover around trying for the rescue.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/994475#Comment_994475
Trying to break the camp is what ends up rewarding the killer. This is where your argument fails. BT doesn't work if he hook grabs you while you try to unhook (which he will, if he's actually camping), and DS doesn't work unless they get unhooked. You can NOT stop camping. You can only punish it, by doing gens, and leaving. This is what skilled players do.
So they should just watch their team die 1 by 1 on hook, which still ends in a 3k at the minimum by the way, because they took the wrong perks?
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/994467#Comment_994467
- If you're good enough that you're downing survivors at all 5 gens...what is the point of that flex? It has nothing to do with camping.
- Kindred. That's how you know campers are camping as a solo player. Which also helps your team mates if you're the one being camped.
- If they couldn't figure it out (camping has HUGE tells), it's their own fault. Also, again, kindred.
Anything else?
If you are taking kindred, that means you can't really have room for the perks that will actually break the camp, because you are not stopping it without BT and DS.
And it has nothing to do with a flex, it's just what is possible in this game. I can start a facecamp at 30-40 seconds into the game and if there is no BT/DS the survivors are screwed. That is a problem.
-
@Daddy_Ding_Dong said:

And that is entirely the fault of the survivors you faced. There is ALWAYS a counter to camping. Again, it's called doing gens and leaving.
And when I am good enough that I can get downs on survivors at 5 gens? How does a solo Q team even know I am camping? I always run perks and killers to lower my terror radius to almost nothing, or play actual stealth killers. By the time they even realize I am camping someone is usually dead.

No, he's really right. The counter to camping is and always has been doing gens and leaving. Cucking their fun.
I pretty much 3-4k every time I decide to maliciously camp. I don't ever pip, but it always brings the salt. There is basically no counter to a camping 1 shot killer, or hag, who knows what they are doing.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/994434#Comment_994434
Yes there is. It's called doing gens, and leaving. Force the killer to depip. That is how you outplay camping.
Welcome to DBD.
EDIT: Also, I'll reiterate, you admit to using builds that you know are annoying (which means you're doing it TO be annoying/a bully), so you don't really get to complain about camping in any sense.
I don't care about pips, because the system is busted overall. 4k depips make me lmao every time.
And there's using builds that are annoying, and using builds that are effective. Head-on is pretty much trash compared to every other exhaustion perk. I think it's only real legitimate use is to get you out of a basement locker check.
If I can bully a killer with that build, I could loop them for days without it, and be running 4 second chance perks, or the vault build, or a complete gen rush build instead. The perks are borderline irrelevant.
But if I killer decides to camp because they are getting trashed? You literally need BT and DS to have any answer.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/994421#Comment_994421
So you use a build that even you admit is especially annoying...and you're complaining about them using an equally as annoying play-style?
Of course camping happens. It doesn't happen nearly as much as survivors say it does (unless they literally ask for it by going out of their way to be annoying, like you admit to with your "particularly annoying build" that you are completely aware is annoying).
If you bring in a build made to bully a killer, you don't get to whine when you get camped. Also - if a camper wins the game, you got outplayed. Not by the killer; but by yourself. If the killer is camping one person, the other 3 have all the time they need to do gens and leave. DS and BT aren't run JUST got camping. The reality is, most run BT so they can farm someone in the killers face for BP, and most run DS to get that sweet 60 seconds of untouchability. It's used FAR more in situations that have nothing to do with tunneling than it is with actual tunneling.
There is no outplaying camping unless you are running BT and DS.
If I am dumping on someone with flashlights and a locker build, they really deserve to lose anyways, because I would be dumping on them with any build really. The flashlights into inner strength heals into head-ons are just for style points.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:

I'm at rank 1 both survivor and killer. The only time I see camping occur is when the exit gate is power. That is 100% fair game, and you should not be able to combine your BT with their DS to get a free escape.
I see camping happen regularly, and actually get facecamped if I am running a particularly annoying build like head-on and a flashlight. Why do you think almost every single red rank survivor runs BT and DS? Because camping doesn't happen? It is the only answer to it.
Whenever I take the perks off and some scrub killer gets to camp down my teammate and win the game off it, I remember why BT/DS is the meta. At least with them, I can punish it.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/994375#Comment_994375
Then you better use it wisely, then. Stop acting like every killer facecamps. It's simply not true.
At rank 1-2, when a sweaty killer is getting demolished by some genrushing survivors, you can almost bet they are going to start camping, tunneling, and slugging in an attempt to save the game.
BT / DS are pretty much the only answer to it currently, and they are not even that good of an answer to a camping 1 shot killer. You can trade, that's about it. 1 person is probably always going to die every game unless you do something crazy like deliverance off into a key escape.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
It should just be one use per match.
Do you know how incredibly easy that would make it to sit there and facecamp down people from 2nd hook to dead?
-
Killers should be able to camp with impunity, said every freddy main ever. BT usually only gets you a trade against a good killer. You are going to need something like deliverance to actually break a camp entirely, and even then it's not guaranteed.
The current state of DBD? If you are the last person being chased, go F yourself.
