How to not counter desisive

Slugging them for a whole minute. Allowing them a free recover AND time to crawl away. And then they got another 60 seconds after the next unhook.

If they get unhooked and immediately start to cleanse your devour hope are you just supposed to let them because its "bait"?

It's 120 seconds of immunity. How the hell can anyone argue that it has any counters? At least with the old desisive you either dribbled if you were close enough to a hook or hooked quickly if they weren't the obsession.

Hell combining it with head on makes the killer spend even more time stunned and there's nothing more frustrating than spending a solid 20% of the match time being stunned over and over again Because every survivor ran desisive strike, and nowadays its more common than seeing an offering being burnt.

  • Or maybe just pick them up lol. 5 seconds isnt that long and if u slug you risk getting dsed at the gate

5 seconds feels like an etentiy in a game of which mere seconds can determine a win or a loss.

But what if its at a safe loop you pick them up? Then it's more than 5 seconds of your time wasted. And if another survivor comes near your still going to tunnel the injured one because you KNOW they don't have ds and it's a one hit Down

  • If you're playing Trapper, just place a trap in front of the locker.

  • If they go in a locker or get on a gen etc I'm happy to eat it and not have to deal with it later. I'm not scared of a long and boring stun, I play legion.

  • With DS it really depends on the situation. Slugging is a form of pressure on the survivors - even if they're not hooked, their teammates still have to get off gens and pick them up. If during that time you managed to find someone else to chase, that means that a maximum of 1 person is actually working on a gen, which is great for you.

In my opinion DS is only truly geambreaking during the endgame after all gens are done. If a gate is open, DS + BT gives a survivor an absolute 105% guaranteed free escape. That's why I sometimes (if I have enough pressure to be able to afford it) will eat DS knowing that the survivor has it in order to burn it, so the survivor can't use it during the end game.

a 5 second stun gives the survivor 20m of distance from the killer in a straight line, the killer catches up at 0.6mps taking 41.7m of ground to catch up and 10.6? seconds to do so in a straight line.

Given that pallets have a minimum spawn distance of 8m, your chase is going to be significantly extended.

  • How TO counter Decisive:

    1. Slug for a minute allows free recovery----> you bait the rescue and juggle the survivors for pressure.
    2. They cleanse your Devour Hope---> you lunge.
    3. They slow vault---> you wait for the animation to end and then stab.
    4. They jump into a locker ----> you eat the DS and won't have to deal with it later.
    5. It's 120 secs of immunity ----> you eat the DS and it's 5 sec of immunity from 120.
    6. It's OP endgame----> see points 4 and 5.
    7. You spend 20% the duration of your matches while stunned----> you need to git gud.
    Spoiler Spoiler Warning ▲▼

    8. Prevents you from tunneling---> You avoid tunneling in the first place.

  • Just stop telling lies over and over again.

  • DS is pretty easy to play around honestly. It's only really annoying when you get nailed by it 55 seconds later.
