Blood Pact:
Gain 25% action speed to healing and unhooking the Obsession. After completing a healing action on the Obsession, or having the Obsession complete a healing action on you, you both gain a 5/6/7% Haste status effect until no longer within 16 meters of each other.Monitor & Abuse:
While in a chase, your Terror Radius is increased by 5/10/15% and a chased Survivor suffer from the Blindness status effect for 10 seconds.I hope you don't fire me for these changes... 😅

I caught the previous ones that were posted around the time the 9.2.0 PTB got revealed, and this one was fairly "mild" in comparison. But yes, these kinds of posts are clearly made by twisted individuals.
Needless to say, I flagged all of those posts. And yes, they are pretty stomach-churning to look at. Glad I scrolled past it fast, but I still had to stare down that image when I flagged the post. Image previews needs to be turned off when flagging posts.
This is terrible, I wish you hadn't had to see these horrors. I hope something will be done about posts with images or links eventually.
Here's a cat and an otter for another dose of cuteness.

I'd play male survivors more but their shoulders feel like lego men arms, like a box with two sticks loosely attatched to it.
That and male survivor fingers cross in uncomfortable looking ways when healing others sometimes.
Honestly survivor rigs/animations need an update across the board, especially since its universally used, the game could really benefit from some visual refinement again in that department.I completely agree with you. I've also noticed that the male survivors backs look weird, like having a little hump. It's more noticeable when they're being healed. I'm waiting for the day they change the animations for both male and female survivors.

Kindred is a great perk to rely on instead of the hud. So many times it's shown me who isn't going for the save. It also helps the team by giving information about where the Killer is heading or hiding, so everyone can position themselves ahead of time.

I feel the opposite. My main is male and bro is so casual I feel like he's going for a morning jog with a rabid monster on his heels. I feel slow as hell, but when I switch to my female secondary, I feel fast and sharp.
I used to feel the same way about the females, but something has changed for me.

The feedback was negative. Many players made a fuss that it would be a mistake of no return.

Least favorite map: Dead Dawg Saloon
This is an opinion I haven’t heard very often; I am interested, why is it your least favorite? Just curious.
It's probably the map I've escaped from the least. Whenever there is a 3 gen situation, high mobility Killers or dead zones too early in the match. It's the only map where I feel visible at all times. 😅
-
- Top 3 killers: Albert Wesker, Nemesis, Pyramid Head.
- Top 3 survivors: Leon Kennedy, Ada Wong, Alan Wake. (Claire Redfield is my favorite too, but because of how loud she is, Ada is my most picked).
- Favorite perk: Kindred, Aftercare.
- Favorite map: Lery's Memorial Institute.
- Least favorite map: Dead Dawg Saloon.
- Favorite Mori: Sadako. I love the movie.
- Licensed chapter you want to see: The Grudge (2004). I think it will never come and it's such a missed opportunity.
- OG chapter you want to see: Pure horror would be psychiatric facility. It could be someone who do experiments on people, or a patient that is unknown to be alive or dead; because of his appearance and how the temperature in the room changes. Anything psychological would be scary.
- Killer you don't like: Huntress, Wraith, Hag, Clown, Trickster, Spirit, Artist, Vecna, Nurse and Myers (his rework makes me feel miserable against him).
- Favorite event: None. Only the Chaos Shuffle modifier is a blast for me.
-
- Survivors are cosmetics, but some can be louder than others when injured. Against Killers like Spirit, it can be a disadvantage but you can use the perk Iron Will if you want your survivor to be quiet. For example, I find Claire Redfield skin very loud and irritating to listen to when she is injured for too long. With Iron Will I feel safe playing her.
- The perk Lightborn of Hillbilly can help. Level him up to be able to use his perks with other Killers you play.
- There's a ton of DLC in the game so it doesn't really matter what you get first. You can buy perks on the Shrine every week before it changes. I buy perks from there instead of buying characters. It can take months for a specific perk to show up though.
- This can take several hours to a day, depending on how long you play and how much blood points you have to spend. I recommend completing the tome challenges for the blood points rewards, and remember the daily log-in rewards.
Feel free to reach out if you need any more help!

Okay, I think I'm getting a better understanding now. I might just try this for the new year, after the Bone Chill event ends. XD
I'm not sure how to work the "Survivors can't share perks" rule. The easy figure would be to equip each Survivor with their adept perks + one generic perk, but I don't think there are enough generic perks to go around, so I'm afraid it'd be impossible to avoid a slight overlap...
I made an example for the perks. The idea is to create a perk pool for each survivor and pick the set they will use throughout the challenge. In the image, I added only a few as an example, but they can have a wide variety. This table is an easy way to remember which perks are assigned to each survivor and to track their progress.
I just took a quick screenshot from a perk tier list instead of attaching every image separately. 😅 -

Okay, and when making the four attempts to rescue an infected Survivor, do you use the same Survivor (just losing perk slots)? Or do they become infected as well, and you have to choose a different rescuer to try to cure the previous two? And can the previous ones become cured simultaneously?
To rescue an infected survivor, you only need one escape, and any survivor can be sent as the rescuer. When a rescuer escapes, they keep all their perks. If a rescuer becomes infected themselves, they also become unplayable until they're cured.
Each failed rescue attempt removes one perk from the infected survivor, almost like their infection is progressing and stripping away their abilities. If multiple survivors are infected at the same time, a single escape from a rescuer will cure all of them at once.If you want the challenge to be harder, you can limit a rescuer to saving only one infected survivor at a time.
-
@CrypticGirl said:
Interesting, but how does one retrieve the "vaccine?" By waiting for a Nemesis match and getting the vaccine?
Just escaping is enough. I think finding chests or doing side objective is too situational.
-
The idea is creative and can help in dire situations when 2 or 3 gens are left. The problem is that a bot might replace the player who's already been sacrificed. I can see myself using this perk only for a specific teammate I want to help escape, but it feels too risky for them to come back.
-
His dash reminds me of Wraith and Chucky, and in some situations I find windows better than pallets. He also feels a bit like Bubba to me because I'm exposed 90% of the time...

They havent but ive noticed all new legendaries come with a badge, and they just gave tiffany a badge finally so they might go back to the other existing legendaries. Maybe when they add legendary customisations they mentioned as something they want to do.
I'm really looking forward to it. If it takes a while, I hope they at least make badges for licensed survivors; Leon's badge could be so cute.

The upcoming prestige rewards mentioned multiple badges for all characters that rank up in rarity/details based on prestige levels earned. Likely all the base character designs as 95% of the characters are missing those as badges, and the rest have been for legendaries so far.
Not sure if there will be banners as well.
We would alredy be getting the prestige rewards update but it was postponed along with the now stranger things part 2 chapter. Maybe they will be in january.
Aa someone with 7 p100s im looking forword to seeing how they turn out
Did BHVR mention anything about legendaries?
It would be great to see them included in badges, though I'm worried it might be a lot to implement, especially with more coming in the future. -
I had an idea that the Entity blocks hooks when the last hooked survivor is carried by the Killer again. But this will lead to slugging. I don't think there's a way to prevent it completely unless the hook system itself changes.

Imagine having four rats creeping around edgemap in the same match though lol
But hey, if it would get them out of my matches then I'm on board.
Your joke actually reminded me of those end-of-match highlights in shooters that show the longest kill streak. I'm imagining a DBD version that spotlights the last survivor hiding for hatch. It would be hilarious to watch. I'd love to read more of your ideas, I genuinely enjoy your comments.

personally i think its a good thing to move away from loops. for years the whole scooby doo chases have been a joke in dbd. it looks and feels pretty awful. its almost like dbd is a comedy horror or a spoof of a more serious game.
Sorry to jump into your conversation, but I'm curious about something you mentioned. You said the chase feels goofy because of the looping. If you could rework how chases should work, what would you change, considering the speed difference between the two roles?
-
I don't know if it's possible, but I wish MMR used an algorithm that looks at your recent matches, your perk choices, and how you interact with each survivor, and chase time. Then it could match you with players who show the same patterns. It could group players with similar playstyles, like meta perks, players who go for hatch, or the more casual ones.
I'd be curious to see how this kind of matchmaking would actually feel in practice. -
I think the layoff probably affected something behind the scenes (could be financially as well), and they didn't anticipate or consider the long term issues. I think licensed chapters are what is keeping the game afloat, but they're at risk if the state of the game remains the same with delays, since a number of chapters are still in the works. Personally, I'm not excited about the next two chapters, as I'm rooting for more RE content. In general, there's no good reason to play right now until a healthy patch is released like they originally planned.

Quite hypocritical arent you? Now you just deffending smartest move survivors can do in some situation but then you call killers bad if they tunnel in certain situation its same as with the gen its best what that killer can do and easiest plust most logical solution so Im not deffending hardcore tunneling from the start (going for the same survivor until he is dead and ignoring others) but tunneling has its own place in certain situation too as gen rushing or groping the most progressed gen, when killer has few options and best one that is right infront of him is go for the same survivor then its clear he will most likely do it.
Its just logical not skiless.
How is that hypocritical? That's like saying it's hypocritical to defend a slug when only one survivor is standing; of course it's the smartest move. I never said killers are bad for tunneling; my point is that survivors are playing the game as designed, while tunneling is taking a shortcut. It can be effective in certain situations, I agree, but that doesn't make it equivalent to skillful gameplay.
That's all I have to say, and I’m done discussing this topic. Have a nice day or happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate.

I wouldnt call it "separating skilled killers from rest" because you have one big issue here the one of best killer players from whole DBD through the world are comp players so why they tunnel, its because its strat that works and DBD has huge rng where many things depends like map, perks, items, addons, killer (which one ghost or blight its huge difference one can go for 12 hook game and other will be glad if he gets even 2k), many things are unknown so makroplay is hard and its not always possible option if you want to have chance for win so its not always possible to win without tunneling thats like saying "skilled survivors doesnt repair gen with two or three survivors on it but only one" but logicaly when there is less gens and some needs to be done fast before killer comes there and regreses it they will group up on the gen to do it faster its logical and most effective and easiest solution solving and countering many problems same as tunneling.
Comp players aren't a good justification in my opinion. If they're playing for win streaks or tournaments, of course they'll always choose the safest option. Tunneling and doing gens aren't comparable. If a gen is at 97%, grouping on it is the smartest move, especially when it's the last one left. Time is against them, the killer has no reason to leave, and regression perks can drag the match out even more. That's simply playing the objective. Claiming you can't win without tunneling just admits you'd rather skip the parts of the killer role that demand awareness and adaptation to RNG.
Survivors aren't perfect. Their mistakes can take the whole team down. It's not impossible to win while playing fairly. -

Its most effective because its pulling people from gens the most look one is hooked, one chased so one can do gens and fourth survivor has to go and rescue thats the normal stabilized situation in the trial but if one survivor dies fast like in two gens so three remain and then this is cahnged by one is cahsed and then hooked, another is chased and then last has to go for save but whos doing gens??? a ghost??? The answer is in that time before they save and reset (heal) if the killer hasnt suceeded in wining the chase and downing the chased survivor they can then do gens but if killer has already hook or is going to hook then survivors are put under constant preasure and they cant do their objective (gens) much so its easier for killer and it gives him huge chancce to get 3 kills which is win condition (4 kills arent because of hatch and then gates rng plus perks like noway out or items like keys that help to open the hatch as otion so 4 kills arent guarantee and are rare win condition).
Tunneling is the most optimal way for the win because spreading hooks gives survivors more time in the trial which means there is always someone doing gens and thus kill has to do even better than them to achive win as 3 kills because gens are being done fast compare to tunneling otion where gens after tunnel (one survivor killed asap) killer has more room to cause preasure on survivors and win.
You're describing exactly why tunneling is a shortcut. Calling it optimal is just a nicer way of admitting it replaces real decision making. Actual pressure comes from the killer knowing which gens they can patrol to avoid losing a 3 gen scenario, keeping survivors injured, paying attention to their positions and predicting their next move. This role is hard, but that's exactly what separates skilled killers from the rest.

Tunneling is one the most effective ways to pressure gens, so your point doesn't make sense.
The way I see it, tunneling works because it lets the killer skip the parts of the game that require actual map pressure. It's a shortcut, not gen pressure. When I faced Nurse and Blight that forced me out at 5 gens, it just shows they don't want to interact with the game flow, just secure their win from the start. So when people say learn to loop, it's not fair. They should learn better too.
-
If survivors should learn to loop, then killers could just be told to learn how to pressure gens instead of relying on tunneling. They wouldn't enjoy hearing that, yet it's just as fair.
-
About a year ago we heard about the Consultant Program, where experienced players gave feedback on balance changes and a few other things. If it's still running today, I can't help blaming it, because I'm pretty sure most of the consultants were comp players, and that's not the right direction for balancing a game.

I saw this video on my feed yesterday. Thank you for sharing it, it felt meant to be. =)
-
There are two situations. The first is when the killer stays near the hook and tries to hit the unhooked survivor right away. The second is when they wait out the endurance or swing halfway through it. Either way, your job is to take the chase and keep them busy, hoping they eventually give up. The problem is most survivors can't last long because the pallets are already gone, or they make a mistake in a loop. When I'm the one being targeted, I focus on pathing and taking the killer away from nearby gens. Beyond that there isn't much you can do, even if you bring Decisive Strike.
-
I experienced it, and when I tried getting used to playing that role, I realized I just don't enjoy it at all. Maybe that was another reason I felt bad.
-
Not useless, but I do wonder if 15 seconds will eventually make players impatient enough to go after the same survivor and waste some extra time before catching them again. It's so frustrating to face a player who has a hard focus on you, and I'm sure 15 seconds wouldn't stop them.
-
It's nice to see the mode continue for a few more days. It's not my favorite, but I like how easy it is to interact with everyone in the match, and how many players seem to share the same mentality. It's so different from 1v4, where we're focused on the objective and there's no time for anything else. That's the only reason I enjoy 2v8.
-
If I'm prevented from playing the game back to back, I'll call it a day.

Interesting to see this Video there…
The video showed me some things:
- Afk crows really need to come back. It can not be that there are nearly none in the whole 20 Minutes of hiding,
- The hiding gameplay is boring as hell and throws your teammates under the bus and pushes killrates
- Survivors having a problem with being slugged for 4 minutes but are okay with hiding for 20+ minutes
- you can reach high MMR by doing nothing at all
And what is upsetting me the most. She dced which means she didn´t lose MMR.
You're right.
It happened only once that she triggered the AFK crow. For some reason, it didn't trigger when she hid in the locker inside the building, even though she stayed there for more than 60 seconds. -
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the new rework going to bring these ideas to the Survivor role. Slate's video comes to mind. He is a very skilled player, and ended up matched with a veteran stealth player who reached this MMR by doing nothing. It shows how embarrassing this matchmaking is. I just hope the matchmaking ends up doing some good for the Killer role as well.
(The video may cause emotional pain 😆)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiXRubcGYoQ -
The developers knew that letting survivors stay uninjured after wiggling free would make lockers too powerful. I also think that this interaction is coded like a grab from vaults and gens, but 100% guarantee.
-
The overall escape rate for me isn't much different from the regular mode. I played too altruistically, which cost me a few games, but the main pain was having the two duo on me for almost every chase.
-
I just came across your post, and I'm really sorry for everything you went through. I'm so glad to hear things are getting better for you. Wishing you all the best!

As a Sable main, this statement makes me sad.
Jokes aside, I used to do this whenever I saw Megs or Kates in my lobbies, because I knew that I would somehow end up getting sandbagged. Nowadays, I really don't care about who's on my team. You never know, that random Sable you ended up dodging, she might have been a diamond in the rough.I completely agree with you. I'm not underestimating players based on the survivors they play, we all know how the community perceptions age like milk.
-
That happened to me a few times when playing as Leon. But I'll tell you this - I tend to dodge Sable only because I'm tired of seeing her. The same thing happened back when Mikaela was the most popular one. It's one of those silly reasons why some players leave the lobby, but being mean to another person just because of the character they play is a whole different level, and those people really need to check themselves.
-
I heard that when you play with a friend, the host's MMR is what the game uses for matchmaking. I saw someone use a low-MMR account to host games for their main account to trick the system. That shows the matchmaking doesn't really look at all players MMR in the lobby.
I'd suggest your friend try accepting the losses instead of abandoning matches, to eventually get into easier games. It can take several games or hours until the matchmaking evens out.
