Supernatural Perk Idea

Essentially the title. Im a huge supernatural fan, and i thought of a really cool perk idea they could add and i wanted to know the communities thoughts. It would be a perk for Dean Winchester called Invocation: Demon Deal

An invocation is done in the basement. When its finished, a deceased or sacrificed survivor is revived in the basement in the injured state and two hook status. The player who brought them back however, is marked for death. The player who performed the invocation is permanently put in the broken status, and will be unable to escape the trial whatsoever. If they attempt to escape the trial via the hatch or exit gates, the entity will instantly kill them. Also, if someone uses this perk and then dies, another survivor will be unable to bring them back with Demon Deal.

Since its an invocation it can only be done once in the trial, so if another survivor tries it wont work since it was already used before in the trial.

Its a very altruistic perk, and feel like the fact that one survivor is Essentially trading their life makes it more fair, so no matter what the killer still gets at least one kill since they had already killed another survivor. What do you guys think?

  • The idea is interesting, but if you were to imagine the perk in play, if someone died, the last thing you would have time for is an entire invocation in the basement to bring back someone who could get tunneled off faster than it took to revive them. When theres only 3 people left that means someone is on hook, the other is being chased and then theres you doing a full invocation lol it would probably cause another person to die, unless it had a shorter activation time.

  • The idea is creative and can help in dire situations when 2 or 3 gens are left. The problem is that a bot might replace the player who's already been sacrificed. I can see myself using this perk only for a specific teammate I want to help escape, but it feels too risky for them to come back.

Yeah that's a pretty fair judgement. Initially I had thought "well thats why its a risk!" But you kindove pointed out to me that its outcome may be useless AND you're marked for death anyway. So maybe the invocation is halved? Or at least 3/4ths to what it usually is

  • Yeah thats a good point too. Realistically I see it mainly being used for SWF, although I can see a bot being helpful to at least distract the killer for a bit longer? Besides that im not too sure
