Wonder why BHVR decided to omit data for pick and kill rates at high MMR? They always used to separate overall and red rank stats.
-
The bad part is when you are a mile away from the pallet and still get stunned.

Not gonna lie i feel like there are a lot of hackers no one knows about, like sometimes i feel doing a gen solo feels to fast sometimes and other times i feel like the gens are going slow. Then sometimes i feel killer or survivor seems like they are little faster than usual.
its those types of subtle hacks that make me ponder.
If you run scourge pain resonance as killer, you'll find tons of subtle cheaters. Two of my matches last night saw multiple gens (in one match, 3) finish in 30 seconds or less after pain resonance showed zero gen progression anywhere. It's not a rare occurrence at all.

Not to point fingers at anyone here but there is one YouTuber who I hate now because of this change. The devs finally address the grind reduce it by making you get 2 million points and then this guy complains the players are leaving and there still supporting a ######### match making system(which is has flaws) and says giving us more points won’t help. Are you ######### kidding me they address a problem and you bring up ######### so stupid
The BP reward is just to help brand new players. If you've been playing at least a year, you probably no longer have much use for BPs. Grinding BPs is not the reason the player population decreased by 30%. It's because of SBMM. Giving people more BPs isn't going to keep the player base. It will probably just encourage new players to stick around and spend more RL money, which seems to be BHVRs main focus.
-
This is good for brand new players, but what good is this to people who play regularly and have everything maxed out?
This seems like a recurrent theme where the focus has shifted to the new players (for $ reasons)
On a related note, this game seemingly has been in a steady decline over the last 6 months since SBMM went into effect. Wonder how much further these numbers will have to go down before they admit SBMM was a mistake.

Bubba's the latest victim to be canceled by the woke mob.

If players are on opposite sides of the map, how can you chain hits together?
-
If devs eliminate camping, which is almost required to some degree for success at the highest levels, then I hope there will be a compensatory

Legion is more like Plague, but much worse. Both have good tracking potential. Both have an easy time injuring survivors. Plague can do this passively via puking on objects in the environment. Devs also didn't like the fact that players could refuse to cleanse and keep Plague an M1 killer (just like a Legion essentially), so they added a contaminated fountain to start. Legion has no way to snowball or get easy downs after players are injured. One way Devs could possibly buff Legion would be to give him a way to get downs via his power. He could build up tokens or a gauge that would eventually allow his feral frenzy to down survivors.
-
Survivors very, very frequently DC on their last hook = deprives me of a pop. This should be recognized as a punishable exploit.

Ever since the new boons got introduced, I have been absolutely struggling to keep the pressure up as the survivors keep re-booning the same old totems and making the entire map their healing zone with speeds that I simply can not match in injuring survivors.
Just 1-2 survivors carrying the healing boon perk is enough to make the game extremely hard to win, the likes that have not been seen in the history of DBD. People are literally making YouTube videos showing people just how ridiculous the healing speed can be in its max potential, which is as fast as pallet-breaking animation. How am I supposed to compete with that?! People can literally heal themselves up in mid-chase like no one's business.
I don't want to be forced to tunnel. Over half of the Killers that I used to play and enjoy are now facing impossible matches because their powers are not enough to deal with the boon users. It's like BHVR didn't think about Killers at all when designing this new perk.
Out of all the killers I have tried to fight against the boon survivors, only hag has come out strong enough to compete, as she can lay down traps to surprise and down injured survivors before they can reach boon zone. Everyone else is at the mercy of Boon squads without a chance of a fair fight.
Anyone else struggling against Boon survivors?
Imagine how it will be with the new hold W perk that will take them to the opposite side of the map. Can't really chase that TBH. Run to opposite side of the map, heal up in a few seconds, walk around a bit, when the killer finally catches up and finds you, just do it over again. Engaging gameplay!
-
Sounds like you are a big part of the problem. If you are admitting that the game is over and you lost, then you and your teammates need to take your hook and move on to the next game. You and your teammates are the ones hiding for no purpose other than wasting time and dragging the game out.

SBMM has nothing to do with this. The same thing happened before.
But before they weren't artificially increasing their MMR which should lead to even sweatier matches.
-
This is just a gimmick build and not really very good. Otz took like 45+ seconds the two times he tried to do this to the survivors to down them. Most of his other chases in the video lasted less than 10 seconds by comparison. This playstyle may be useful when the survivor's skill greatly exceeds the killer's skill. Killers could get a few hooks they may not have gotten otherwise. Also, occasionally at high MMR, you'll play against elite survivors on pallet heavy maps where they may loop you for 1-2 minutes until the pallets run dry. If you are playing vs Zubat on Cowshed, these addons could save you a bit of time getting the first down. Otherwise, I don't see these doing much good.
-
Player named 956104737 with a private profile? Not wasting my time. I've found that only accepting games against people with public profiles cuts down on cheaters quit a bit, but it takes awhile longer to find matches.
-
Blood favor doesn't seem like something I would run. Half the time, your totem gets cleansed right away. You might end a chase or two early if you're lucky. Too inconsistent for me. That's why I run pop instead of ruin.

I get it the maps being removed in the future, but how about you dont just wipe them all way before? Minimum that's put me 500k BP in the trash.
Like come on, I had so many to use on survivor and killer all of which can be made into fun meme builds or to help certain challenges. But now it's all gone... do you know how many few players have versed a "dont miss a skill check freddy"? I'll tell you hardly any.
Didn't they just give you over 800k BPs? That seems to more than make up for your loss.
-
Would be nice to get BP refund.
-
The game saw a huge jump in players in June and July, but now it seems to have lost all this growth. It will be interesting to see how it trends in the near future as SBMM wears on everyone.
-
It was in the Q&A.
US: What are you doing to address the cheater epidemic?
BHVR: HOW BOUT SUM MORE SKIIIIIIIIINS FOR YOUR COIN!?
US: How about trying to fix this!? Cheaters are ruining the game!
BHVR: MORE SKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINS IT IS!

Why do people play on high school sports teams? Why are people driven to get into good schools or find high paying jobs? I'm sure people have different reasons, but some are motivated by the perceived power or influence it could bring. Some want recognition. Some may feel a need to prove to themselves that they are better than others. Some probably just are motivated by a desire to challenge themselves, get better, and be the best they can be.
-
I believe it is because DBD is a complicated game and is not easy to balance. To add to that, it is not a top priority to devs. There are only so many hours in a day and other things that are more important to them. Why would they spend lots of man-hours on balancing to satisfy the top 10% of the players complaining about it when they could instead focus that effort on putting out more money-generating content for the other 90%? It's the same reason we have MMR. They don't care if most of the top 10% hate the game now if it keeps more noob players around who will spend more $$$.
-
I've been noticing this a lot recently too. Sometimes, they don't leave scratch marks. Sometimes, the scratch marks are really delayed. I've wonder if the person is cheating to not leave scratch marks, but I assume it could be just a bug.

My job(s) are pretty stressful at times (physician/business owner). I'm usually pretty resilient, but I try to wind down sometimes through exercise, meditation, and other relaxation techniques (like progressive muscle relaxation). I'm not much of a drinker, but sometimes, a few mixed drinks seem to do the trick pretty well, too.

I've been to almost every state minus Alaska and maybe a couple New England states. I backpacked through Central America and several countries in Asia probably 20 years ago. I found Taiwan to be a pretty fun place. I had a planned trip to spend a month in Taiwan last April, but they enacted some travel restrictions just days before my flight. I'll make it back there one of these days.

Actually my pick in seeing the thread is Pidgeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee, because it was so absolutely beautiful up there in the mountains. When I went on family vacations there many years back, it was only during the summer, but I'd absolutely LOVE to see it this time of year when the autumn colors start showing on the trees. And while the tourist part of the area is fun, there were so many absolutely fantastic small, local artisan shops dotted around the area as well!
I've been there maybe 3 or 4 times. I remember first going in the early 80s. Before it was Dollywood, it used to be called Silver Dollar City. I still have a few coins from there stashed in an old piggy bank. Autumn is definitely a good time to go.
-
Played through them all with friends. Ok, but I'm not a huge fan of these type of games.
-
If totems were harder to find, I would use the perk. It's fun and very strong when it works. The problem is that it only works maybe 10% of the time.

And yet we still have (well known) people on this forum saying the ban system works lol!
My buddy posted a video a week or so ago of an obvious cheater, him going through all the steps to report the cheater, and the guy still unbanned 6 months later. It's fake news.
-
The game is poorly balanced. No matter how good you are at killer, sometimes camping and tunneling are the only ways to win.
-
You also have to wonder how many more people are running aimbot and ESP that you can't reliably detect.
-
Dowsey streamed 15 games today and faced 7 obvious cheaters. There was an 8th whose run speed seemed too fast, but can't be 100% sure about that one. That pretty much sums up high MMR.

2 weeks ago on steam we were 75k, Saturday, same time.
So it's negative 15k in 2 weeks only on PC (-20%).
Let's see in two weeks, it will continue to drop, the experience is awful atm.
3 of my buddies here almost completely stopped playing. Another one and I still play some, but much less than before. I know some of the popular streamers are getting burned out and not playing as much, too. I'm sure stronger players will play less, but many average and below average players enjoy this new SBMM. Maybe they are playing more. It might even out.
-
Hopefully, Legion will be up for a major update next.
-
He seems super easy to play and fairly strong to me. It's interesting how people can have such different opinions about Freddy. If you look at popular streamers' tier lists, Dowsey puts Freddy in the middle of A tier. Otzdarva puts Freddy at #21 out of 25.

Reporting people does not do anything. The report system in DbD is so awful it's common knowledge at this point to just ignore it. Streamers even tell their communities not to bother reporting because it doesn't do anything.
The system is bad, yes, but not reporting is worse. It's no surprise there are so many hackers when you have people explicitly telling others "hey, just let them get off scot free".
The system is only bad because of the multiple steps you have to undertake. However, it does work. Now cue people saying otherwise.
It hasn't worked well for me or the people my friends/family reported. My homie posted a video yesterday showing footage of obvious cheaters flying around the map that he reported 6 months ago that are still playing the game now. What's the explanation for that? Of course, no moderator responded to the video. They will just tell us to keep wasting our time filing these time-consuming reports.
-
10 cheaters in the last 11 games, but some games had two cheaters.

This should bump Legion to S tier.

Pro Vengeance is still doing 30+ win streaks.
He's at 50+ now.

When I saw the huge list of killers getting add-on reworks and noticed Legion wasn't on the list, I thought surely Legion would be undergoing a larger rework in part 2 of the announcement, but nope. Super disappointing Legion wasn't prioritized being at the bottom of the tier list with all his useless add-ons. Feral frenzy is even bugged right now.

Here's the thing. I would use my toolbox on one generator, and once it's repaired I would just jump into a locker and replenish my toolbox, and use it again on another gen etc. While someone else is looping the killer. And if all 3 survivors do this WITH prove thyself, how is that not faster?? People have been complaining about gen speeds and you do the opposite fix. I'm abit confused here.
Even with the best toolbox and addons, you don’t net gain any time from the perk. The only thing it will do essentially is delay you a bit but then allow you to repair in quick bursts. I would think it would probably be useful in situations where youre going to have some delays anyway and need quick bursts, like a killer guarding a good 3 gen.
-
The 32-charge toolbox with wire spool and socket swivels saves a little over 18 seconds in repair time for a single use. So there is essentially no time gained from the perk (12 x 3 = 18 x 2).

I do fine as a high level killer main with genuine map pressure - because I use effective tactics, rather than the weak ones people like you need to justify to themselves. It's okay, though, the hypocrisy is amusing.
You don’t play at a high level, and if you do, you aren’t winning most of the time.
Go tell Pro Vengeance, who went on an 800+ game win streak with variety low- and mid-tier killers, that he is a bad killer using weak tactics. Go tell the comp teams, Otzdarva, and many other popular killer streamers how they are so weak.
-
Really disappointed that Legion wasn’t one of the many killers that received an addon pass or change. His addons weren’t updated when his power was changed so long ago. He has two useless purple addons and is consistently ranked as one of the worst killers. Not to mention that he has several bugs, including the ability to detect survivors while in feral frenzy. Devs hate Legion confirmed.
-
Maybe you ran into a group of comp players on new fake accounts. That happens sometimes.
-
I'm on my 6th cheater today so far after a few hours of play.
If you're flying through the air and doing funny stuff, I don't get all that annoyed. It's kind of boring after you see it enough times, but whatever. What is more annoying is the cheaters who try to do subtle cheats. They dial their runspeed up a bit. They auto finish a gen on the opposite side of the map. Sometimes, you don't always catch these people in the act. Or when they get caught, they deny it. These are the annoying cheaters.

If you're foolish enough to think that camps and tunnels 'outplay' anyone, maybe you should work on your own skillset - it's clearly lacking, regardless of your typical role.
Maybe you should just stop making excuses for your failure. If you ever played at high levels, you wouldn't be saying such silly things.
-
Just went another group with at least 1 cheater. 5th one today so far. The Steam profile didn't match his name in our match. Do reports still work for them? DS'ed me on his first down and dropped a bunch of flash grenades despite no perk.

So you think covering your mistake by camping means you achieved something? Oh plss and a fat cat will catch a mouse if he ain't moving same thing about camping it's a cheap move keep trying if u lose it's ur fault ur mistakes has consequences and you can either own up to them and keep trying or you can stand still and play starring contest and see who blinks first
Why would you limit yourself as a killer to some arbitrary rules made up by sore loser survivors? Higher skilled survivors can't be beaten on a lot of maps with 90% of the killers. Why are you trying to make up more rules to handicap them even more? Just take your loss and accept you were outplayed.
