They tell us about upcoming changes, QoL improvements, work in progess on balance, matchmaking and a lot more.
Maybe because we already know what's upcoming: chainsaw killers update, crossplay, crosssave, server hit priority, matchmaking update and graphical update. With too many things I don't think they are working on more, and having mind of these changes, there's no point on a dev update letter.

I almost only played PH as killer since last patch and I can say I wouldn't care less of this "nerf". Didn't need before where the cages are, I still don't need it.
I see it as a fair balance and a good way to show campers and tunnelers they can patrol gens while someone is hooked/caged.

That is called latency or you can just say that you got a dedicated hit, not uncommon.
I'd say head on is similar in that case, I've been far away from the locker just to get hit by an AoE
it's already known it's because of the killer priority with hits and their connection, they can hit you across the map, if it was a server thng devs wouldnt be reworking it to make it server view prioritized

they have just done 2.5 map graphic reworks, or at least they announced just those.
keep in mind there are 39 maps and they're working from hme, and iit has just been one month.
imo graphical work is the hardest part from a development, and they ddnt have enough time to finish and give a date.
keep in mind bhvr doesnt like to give dates anymore snce they started to "delay things for unforeseen circumstances", rank rewards are still not here, promised to be durng the 3rd year roadmap, and this year they didnt make any roadmap knowing they are gonna delay things again.

About killing yourself on the first hook, if for some stupid reason they would introduce a penalty, people who did that would stop killing themselves asap but they would probably either afk or try to get hooked again so they can die on 2nd hook or wait through 2nd phase as soon as they reach struggle by trying to kobe 3 times asap.
I prefer getting the points knowing I'll die instead of just give up

My apologies. My opinion is I don't understand why a game continues to go out of their way for events that they do not need to dedicate the time and resources to when they know there will be so many people ungrateful for it. I am however glad they do for those that do enjoy the work they put into the game.
because even tho you get great gifts, the gameplay is not fun

How is this different from previous events?
in the chinesse one from 2019 you could get points for the skins by just scaping and doing gens, the lunar lamp was just an extra, others used to be by just repairing special gens, making people center more on objectives

Yeah, that's not how that works. That's just you giving a generic description of what the cakes are supposed to do using plain text. Clearly the issue lies elsewhere, because I'm willing to bet that's what they already did.
one of my friends knows about programming and he explained me in an "english way" that's the issue he can identify, they misspelled 4 and 0 with the portion and used False instead of True in the stackable line, he coould also identify which are the bloodwebs which are forced to spawn cakes, t doesn't matter if yoou're prestiged or not tho.
Obviously there are more codelines but in those 2 yeah, that's how the fix works.
