So the Blight that comes standard with that look is definitely going to be unplayable on console.
I'm sure he'll have a load of cosmetics which make things even worse
-
Dealing with lullaby even at full stacks is usually fine, you just have to pay more attention. It's pretty nasty on doc though, the only killer I run it on (I also like haunted grounds on him - blast right after it gets destroyed and enjoy the panic)
-
Honestly I was pretty grateful when someone rescued my last survivor gateau from an ebony mori + iri head huntress. No cake for you Anna
-
Last time a thread like this was started it descended into demogorgon thirst, you've been warned
-
I know it's a joke but using perks to combat bad game design is probably something we could do with less of.

I wasn't being serious but ok.
I know, just making sure the devs don't think they're getting rid of this headache

Playing against console-killers is legit so annoying. Their hitboxes are more stupid than Anna's hixboxes on PC. It's like they don't even reach you physically and yet get a free hit, when you are kilometers away.
We don't have different hitboxes.

O well, I had a swf on console, and they try to be some toxic asshol* but I killed them all, they were bad/decent, and when they try to 360 it looked so hillarious lmao
Bad and also decent, sure why not

im talking about my experience, bud. Shocking, Right! I know.... -_-
Are you always this hostile or are you still recovering from someone calling 99ing gates an exploit?
-
Have it off as killer but on as survivor, which means I only go against pc killers really. But it's fun and my queue times are way better.
@BillyBigBrainBoi said:
Im on pc and I turned off crossplay cause console survivors are way too braindead, it was way too easy, and I like challenges
Please send some of your better pc survivors my way, I'm really not getting many pc master race vibes from my xplay teammates ;)

I've never actually seen iri head on a good huntress. Sounds unpleasant
-
I guess too many people were making it to the end.
-
Plague is great, you just can't afford to make any mistakes as her. Survivors don't heal each other (even worse, no self care ever) so gens just get smashed out. Luckily she's a good slugger though.

was playing as wraith earlier and had 3 survivors dc, guess i should stop playing wraith too huh?
I get a lot as clown, let's add him to the list of forbidden killers as well

I play as both sides and I second this, I see survivors against me or my teammates DC literally every game if there’s no penalty. At least that slows it down some.
The worst DC I can think of was someone who I found first in the open as Plague, got broken , then DC’d as soon as I hit them... and here’s the best part... they waited til endgame chat to tell me they DC because I was camping. The FIRST person to go down, BEFORE getting hooked, DCs because I was camping.
I once got a disconnect 4 as plague after the first survivor cleansed seconds after getting infected and then dc'd right after.
-
They're probably getting rid of the haunted grounds synergy.
-
Slow circles are the least bad for your controller, it isn't any slower than side to side or quick circles
-
"Please don't tell me you just accidentally walked past a totem that you didn't even notice?!?!?!?! Surprise!!!! The Killer can now see you!! Better clench and cleanse or run for the hills!!"
There's already perks that show your aura if you walk past a hook, go in the basement or complete a gen. They aren't considered to be particularly oppressive.
-
@Kilmeran said:
And you know they were all PC . . . how? There's no platform indicator, just an indicator that they are not on your platform. Could have been from any of the three other platforms.
It's usually easy to tell based on the username that it's not console.
I disagree with op though I haven't noticed much difference between console/pc players. Except huntresses, I haven't gone against a pc huntress yet who isn't a) bad and b) refuses to go more than 16m from a hooked survivor - I expected the opposite tbh
-
Slowdown perks being stackable is why their numbers are unimpressive on their own, it's why the thanatophobia buff never went ahead. Imo the only broken levels of slowdown were
- old dying light plus other stuff
- old ruin + pop
- first version of new freddy with slowdown addons + slowdown perks
But none of those exist anymore.
-
You're not bound by any rules apart from hacks, exploits etc. It sounds like you want to be fairly "nice", which is cool, I usually let the last one go and avoid the tunnelling camping stuff. But don't feel too bound by it, if you've hooked someone and they're swarming around you have no sensible reason to leave. If gens are flying it's fine to get a few of them on the floor before hooking them. And don't feel discouraged if you get called a camper, tunneler etc even when you've made an effort to not do that, it's just salt.
-
You have some good points and some less so.
"Also when I purchase auric cells and buy cosmetics with my money I expect to get the outfit as is, but some outfits have been reworked or brightened due to Killer feedbacks of not finding survivors. I feel that is Illegal , i am not renting a cosmetic, I am buying to own , my personal purchase with my money."
Did you actually spend money on blendette skins?

"Just cleanse totems" when every totem, even dulls, reveals you to the killer.
OP is right, the only counterplay to that perk is being on comms to get on 2 totems at once.
A full totem build which includes thrill of the hunt also notifies whenever a totem is touched and it takes longer. Is that impossible to beat?
-
I didn't actually post one myself - a spirit chase is more interesting on both sides when the survivor has iron will.
-
I don't think any of your opinions are unpopular.

@Nobsyde said:
there's no real way we can make our fps problem more public than it already is, and there's no amount of artificial backlash possible that will help us - either Devs do care, and they will try to fix it as things are now, or they don't care, and the only way to make them change their mind is if they see a drop in income from console of... what, 50%? more?
But that's just fantasy, the vast majority of console players play survivor anyway, which don't suffer from (huge) fps drops, and even if it did they would still buy cosmetics as they are doing right now so... what is left is just being present and vocal.
I'm confident that by the time PlayStation 7 is released we'll have a decent frame rate.
If we keep getting ignored, and don't get a proper answer soon maybe we should try some sort of organised attempt to get console players + pc sympathisers to stop buying auric cells. Flood the forums, the subreddit, the discord, playstation community groups and its equivalents, social media groups, the fog whisperers' streams, the dev streams, the inboxes of everyone we play with or against etc etc
It could just fail but maybe something to consider if nothing works.

Sabo teams are one of the best type of swfs to go against. If it's a choice with the bully groups that are only having fun if you aren't or the death squads that get 2 gens done before you've even loaded in - sabo plz

Thanks @Kilmeran <3

When crossplay was enabled I noticed my frames were way worse than normal as a survivor, turned off crossplay and back to normal frame issues.
I've tried a survivor game with it off and the frames are def better, but queues are longer. KIller is instant either way so that's an easier choice.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/183270/why-did-the-devs-keep-killer-lock
Devs already commented on this a few days ago. It's because it would require a client update and they need it to still be there when they turn MMR back on.
Where did they say that?
-
@GamerGirlFeng said:
Alternatively, should killers get banned for using this exploit to get free hooks?
I've sacrificed myself trying to help the killer out of this spot so many times and then I get punished for it, on top of hooked any time I get stuck myself.
Sorry if I rather not anymore.
No, although the decent thing to do would be to help get them out and give them some time to recover - but there's a difference between taking advantage of someone being stuck there and deliberately trying to get another player stuck there.

Not bad, for two hook moris there would need to be an incentive to want to run them at all, because there's not really any benefit otherwise. I.e. you save time that would be spent carrying the survivor to their death hook but some of the animations are also pretty long. I think they'd only be used for dailies and otherwise just bloodweb clutter
One way could be moriing survivors gives a load more bloodpoints that can go over the cap. Or challenges like mori X amount of survivors in a period of time to get a charm or something.
-
In the meantime, has anyone had any luck mitigating the frame issues at all? I heard removing charms and switching xplay off can help, but I haven't tried myself yet.
-
another day volunteering at the hawkins lab. everyone keeps asking me if they can fūck the demogorgon. buddy, they wont even let me fuçk it
-
It doesn't have to be all meta or none. I often use DS or unbreakable (not together tho), then maybe another one like iron will or an exhaustion perk. Then the other two will be something like lightweight, dance with me, breakout, breakdown, flip-flop etc, I like ones that will be useless in most matches but will save the day one in 10 games.
Edit: but run what you want, it's your game too
-
The MMR seemed to be just starting to work properly for me when they pulled the plug, feels bad.

Demogorgon probably stores it inside himself, deploying it like an aeroplane's undercarriage. He doesn't want it slapping against himself every time he performs a shred.
This makes sense, it's probably huge and shredding would cause it to slap him in the face
-
I'd make him fatter
-
You don't reveal your position in cases you would normally scream with calm spirit - but doc has an addon called restraint which shows auras as well when survivors tier up madness. Was he using that?
-
Being yanked off the hook 0.2 seconds after being hooked with BT is pretty awful, but without BT it's even worse
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Turns out he didn't need counterplay to begin with
The counterplay is the killer choosing someone else to use
-
Well I started a thread asking what measures were in place to make sure the new killer also worked on console and it got shunted into ptb feedback 😄
