I'd like to point out... how is what one player sees on their screen any more valid a configuration than what the other player sees on their screen?
All this does is push the problem around. Fairness would be working on the desync issue (that's quite present even when all parties have solid ping), not reallocating which side has to suffer the brunt of its fuckups.
Fairness would be moving the Survivor Scream server-side as well so the optics are not quite so frustrating.

Just had this happen. Not only did i remove it and it stayed on, it somehow activated itself with no gens being done afterward. Then a gen did get completed, after mine was already active, and the addon that hides the auras of the boxes continued to hide them. Either that pig was hacking or this is a busted broken combo and one or the other should be killswitched.
Did it Kill you? Or was the previous bug where it also doesn't Kill you also present?

What i mean is that survivors will wait until you are in the swinging action, then they use it and can not be hit.
Hmm, well I'm going to hop on and check it out, but if it means that Deadhard can be used to avoid a Killers non-lunge Swing (based on the start of the animation on the Survivors client) while the Killer is standing right behind them then that is utter BS as unlike all other Exhaustion Perks the Killer isn't able to assess if continuing the chase is worth it. They just have to get to the point they could have hit the Survivor, get met with E gameplay, and then eat their attack cooldown.
However this would mean that Unrelenting could become a more meta Perk, (If it actually had some other QoL stuff added to it...)
-
Man if that split-second activation is what is annoying to you, you'd hate pallets as a Killer.
NGL for most of those I barely even saw you start to perform the dash on your own client. (Outside of the one at 0:12 which was total BS that you got hit)
Hopefully you'll be refunded the Exhaustion state now though, you'll just be on the ground instead of exhausted on the ground.
-
Perhaps a pre-game lobby where the Killer is present is outdated, but a "campfire" where Survivors can communicate pre-game (PC) is nice. Though the whole communication standard for DBD crossplay is inconsistent in design.

On release Myers was able to stalk multiple survivors at once. This was removed because "OP". If they add that back Myers would be just fine.

One bad survivor gives any killer an advantage anyway because its a weak link in the team. Take the Oni for example. One potato survivor gives him free blood all match.
But for argument's sake, they could have the stalk regenerate gradually in each survivor. Michael can stalk them out, and then the stalk builds up again if he doesn't stalk them for X amount of time.
Sure, then down them quickly and force Survivors to deal with having to manage them being on Hook. Being able to double-up on that with his kit (if it's buffed), probably isn't the best idea.

You can't be a tap away from t3 from max stalking just one survivor. Even with tp and jmm.
But you can with 2, and there are 4.
And this morning I did that a few times with Tombstone piece (before my MMR went up and was facing people that knew how to counter it)
Ultimately it comes down to allowing minimal interaction with a Survivor for the trade-off of literally ending the Trial for them.
If there's a req that you need to fully Stalk out a Survivor, sure, that Survivor had ample time to interact with you, but atm it provides some rather unpleasant edge-cases (simply from a stalking perspective)

As a Mikey main these are the changes I would love to see;
- Start with his tier 1 at 99%. That way he still has the oblivious effect at the beginning of a match and can get a spicy grab off a gen/totem/chest etc if he likes. I've had many grabs on unsuspecting survivors in tier 1. Or he can just tap himself into tier 2 as soon as he spots a survivor if he wishes.
- Remove the stalking cap on survivors. Or at the very least dramatically increase it. Bubba and Billy are not limited on how many times they can use their chainsaw. Oni is not limited on how much blood he can collect from survivors. Extend Mikey the same courtesy with his instadown ability.
- When in tier 3 have him break pallets faster. He already has the extended lunge and fast vaulting speed in tier 3. Tier 3 is Mikey at his most powerful. So give him the full monty, make him a total beast and have him chew through pallets quicker too.
The stalking cap exists IMO so you can't just farm Evil off of one bad Survivor and to make the Evil increasing cost addons make his playstyle a little different (Gotta stalk multiple people)
Perhaps Survivors that get Hooked (Or Unhookers) regain some Evil?

Meh, Tombstone just needs the removal of the "I stalked one Survivor who had some gameplay dodging around the LoS and then 99% T2 and then ran across another Survivor I hadn't even seen the whole match and then just popped T3 and Killed them"
Other than that I think it should probably be buffed to be a more reliable Mori without technical limitation counterplay (lockers, etc.), but probably cap the number of Mori's (For the Purple addon) to 1.

Sorry if I overreacted. I usually don't do that. But considering the current state of the game it pains me when people want to nerf killers.
Even when it comes to meme add ons like this. I played Myers with normal builds for a while and having some fun with tp now would kinda make me just drop killer altogether if they nerf it.
I mean I'm actually planning on buffing it.
Apparently my MMR is set for competition Twitch streamers and I've found that when everyone on the Survivor team knows what Tombstone piece is and the various methods in order to force a locker grab, an loop locking in Animation hits, or simply sitting on a Gen to prevent you from performing a Mori on them, it actually means you might only ever get 1 Mori or less if they play it safe, meaning it's just a more expensive T3 cost addon.

I have, actually mained Myers for a bit a long time ago. But as far as I know there is no reason to Stalk while in T3 as it slows you down (outside of maybe using the Mirror Fragments), so I just kind of assumed it was just a "skill-gap" feature that could instead be leveraged.

That would basically kill both add-ons, I think.
Especially considering you can't drain Survivors of Evil when you are in Tier 3 and you will never be able to drain all 4, even with Fragrant Tuft of Hair plus Judith's Tombstone
Hmm, did not know that you can't drain Evil while in T3.
That does indeed make these suggestions useless, thanks!

@R1ch4rd_N1x0n said:
I think the tombstones need reworked entirely, which would both buff and nerf them. While I like the idea of him not having to hook you first, as it's unique to Myers and fits him well, there's problems with the add-ons. The first problem is how easy it is to avoid the mori, just hop in a Locker, which I think is dumb. I think he should be able to mori you by grabbing you from Lockers or interrupting you too, but as this might make it OP in it's current state, I think they should make it take even longer to get to Tier 3 to compensate for that.
I think this would make the Tombstone much more fair for both Myers and the Survivors.
Imo what I would do is this:
Tombstone Piece - While in Evil Within III Grants The Shape the Ability to Kill 1 Survivor who have had their Evil fully consumed.
Judith's Tombstone - While in Evil Within III Grants The Shape the Ability to Kill All Survivors who have had their Evil fully consumed.
This would also mean that it prevents Myers from just popping in and doing a Mori on a survivor that hasn't even seen him. This does remove the added Evil requirement, but given that you can't actually exclusively Mori from T3 (it now has an Evil consumed requirement on the Survivor), it allows both frequent T3 uptime and a unique method of non-hook Kill if Myers decides to stalk a Survivor down while in T3

I hate survivors like you, it was pain to do that challenge, but yeah it is what you want to do.
I had to wait almost 20 minutes in front of locker till he finally come out for that challenge...
I mean I just learned about all this while playing him with Tombstone piece over a couple matches right now...
-
Get in a Locker, he can't Mori you while in one. Wait out his Timer.
Work on a Generator, he can't Mori you while working on a Generator. Work on the generator and hopefully the Timer runs out before you finish the Generator.
If he's getting close, try to do a Vault even if it would mean he hits you. he can't Mori you while you're performing an Animation, so he has to choose to go for a down or try to re-path to chase you for a Mori.
It's actually really easy to counter his Tombstone if you know the technical limitations to when he can/cannot Mori you.

I doubt it. Pure speculation here:
The timeline of the entire thing just reeks of "spend money to make money". Big promises with no infrastructure setup banking on high consumer demand from deceptive marketing and FoMO in order to actually use those funds to hire talent to actually make the NFT's.
Why else would their initial announcement of these NFT's have literally zero evidence of any NFT "cards"? (The only things they had shown any images of were the models given to them + a PNG blackout of an old Butterball toy), with the first released image of an NFT being only a single image, and then 3 days later, literally only 4 extra images were created by someone probably screwing around in Blender)
Also pure speculation:
The voiceline was probably removed because Clive Barker actually got movie rights back to the first Hellraiser film and script, which "You Opened the Box, I came" is literally pulled from.
So I wonder what will happen moving forward with BHVR and the Hellraiser franchise. Will they be able to make a deal with Mr. Barker and wipe their hands of this whole ordeal? (And potentially allowing use of more skins), or will they be stuck in some sort of due rights-owners limbo where it becomes an absolute arse to handle.
I do not know why BHVR decided to continue with the Hellraiser work while there was active litigation going on this franchise though, Were they jumping in on the bandwagon of a sellout? Or were they unfortunately caught in a legal battle by surprise? But if this source is believed to be accurate: http://www.clivebarkercast.com/2018/04/01/pinhead-is-coming-to-dead-by-daylight/ Then this Chapter has been in the works for years. And that at this point BHVR is being legally strangled to say nice things about everything lest they something happen to all the work they've invested so far.
I really hope that BHVR can come to an agreement with Clive Barker himself though and try to wash their hands of this whole ordeal.
Oh, it also wouldn't surprise me if they literally have map/character assets currently in legal limbo that they can't use at the moment which is why this whole chapter release was so weird with such a big name.Edit: but then why would they have released the Pinhead chapter t all though? This whole situation is confusing.... -

My understanding is that you get a chance to get the Hellraiser DLC, not that you get it guaranteed with the purchase. I'm not sure if that's wholly accurate, though- I never bothered actually looking at it on their website because I'm not the kind of mark that'd buy an NFT lol
(Also it has been confirmed there won't be any exclusive content tied to the NFTs, which is a relief)
There are literally only 10 Hellraiser DLC codes that they are releasing alongside their projected 10,000 NFT's.
Take your first step into the Masters of Horror Metaverse and be one of the first travelers to use the Lament Configuration to open this portal to another realm. Ten random subscribers to our list will receive a Legendary Pinhead NFT variant from the original 10,000 that includes an alternate costume and grants in-game access to the Hellraiser chapter of the video game Dead by DaylightTM for PC.
Each purchase should only give you a 0.01% chance at getting the Hellraiser DLC if they are projecting 10,000 NFT's sold (and depending on the subscriber requirement you might even be able to just subscribe and get the DLC without buying an NFT)
In other words, you have a 99.99% chance of spending 240$ on a few PNGs

These ones, I actually think whoever got into a license with these guys got scammed because these seem literally like low-effort model edits, likely with free art assets on whatever modeling software they're using.

Did they intentionally escape? Depends on their personality.

Perhaps it could leave you needing to perform a recovery animation, like a hands on knees deep breaths thing. A bit like having to perform a mend action. But it doesn't make you take a health state, instead your exhaustion cooldown doesn't start until you've done it.
Hmm, maybe not even requiring an interaction, just requiring the Player to walk (or stand still for a faster recovery)
Could be something like an additional 2nd Exhaustion bar that's overlaid ontop of the Red Exhaustion bar, Walking/Standing still decreases it (Walking half as effective as Standing still), but will reset upon performing Interactions and Running/Rushed Actions.
(This would also prevent edge-cases where significant player skill/loadout disparity allows Players to get Exhaustion Perks back mid-"chase")
Could even introduce an "Exhausted breathing" effect that overrides Iron Will's Grunts of pain reduction.

That is indeed the best way to play him and when you vs him you should always keep that in mind, and trying to not be in an unsafe place.
Yeah, though I mean from an aesthetic point of view it's a garbage implementation of entering his Power.

Exactly this, it's not there to help either side - just as a means to end the match to prevent hostage taking situations.
Though it is a shame that one of the more atmospheric parts of the Trial was implemented simply to prevent that single scenario.

Cusp-n-pop playstyle is something I've never heard off 🤔🤫
Might want to tell me what that is actually 😉
Stalk to 99% of T2.
Get on a Survivors arse.
Pop T3 within lunge distance.
Generally speaking this is the best way to save Evil. Slug that first Survivor or Hook them before moving onto the next Survivor while still in T3, but basically that first Survivors experience is that Myers was in T2 until he was in a position to hit T3 and get a down. The next Survivor experiences Myers chasing them in T3, but not usually the first Survivor when he enters T3.
This fits if you're a movie watcher watching the match, but not if you're the Survivor interested in experiencing a movie-like experience. (Or the Killer playing it out for that matter either, in both cases the Evil isn't approaching, but rather gets to the insta-gib threshold, holds onto it, then insta-gibs you without any of the accompanying musical flair/TR)

Cusp-n-pop playstyle is something I've never heard off 🤔🤫

Another way to say: stalk till 99% to the point that you can just tap M2 within Lunge distance of T3 so you don't waste any Evil.
It also means that the experience that good Survivors have with a good Myers is him only ever reaching T3 while they are literally on their arse, and there isn't really any "chase" if you're the first Survivor to be downed in this manner:
Mikey stalks to 99% (cusp of T3), gets close to a Survivor, pops T3, doens them, Hooks or slugs that first Survivor while in T3, and then the next Survivor is the one that experiences a "chase" against Myers in T3.
-
Something I heard and actually makes sense from a strategy perspective:
New Killers/Survivors are less likely to have meta perks because of RNG and BP buy-in costs.
You can tunnel Mikaela more safely, as they are new release and many Survivors will likely not have DS on her.

I think this person is pretty new to the game and complains about something they don't understand.
Myers is pretty easy so go against cause you can deny his powers pretty long.
And even scratch mirror Myers you can counter easily, you just need to listen to his breathing which is very load.
But you always have people who either play to cocky or ignore the fact to break line of sights.
Even with this build i shouldn't have been able to pull it off, yet I did because they didn't play it smarter.
I will say that the cusp-n-pop playstyle kinda does suck thematically, but is the best way to play him.
-
Most I think you could ask for is requiring Myers to Stalk with a Survivor in view for at least 1s in order to allow Tier-up to Tier 3 (Once at the threshold no stalk on Survivors is consumed, but you need to "feed" an additional 1s of Stalk) or something to prevent the ass-blastin' he can currently do while right on a Survivor.
However he would need some buffs to compensate.
-
I like it. It's fun.
It's at least relatively farmable during the Event should you want to consistently use it.
Would like if it could be used outside of the Event. However it might disincentivize people from prestiging characters even more.
There are pros and cons to making it permanent as it's a rather significant generic change interacting with Killer Powers to that might be annoying to try and "balance".

Very frustrating.
Eh, I suppose, as given the bleedout imer it will still end the game if they decide to sit there.

Out of curiosity, have you ever tried Tombstone Piece/Rabbit/M&A Myers or Tuft/Tombstone Myers?

DDOS is even extreme because you can still hurt a bystander. Hacking in general shouldn't be used to fight because most of the time innocent people get harmed for just playing. They didn't pick a side, but they're getting hurt anyway because of reasons.
I hate NFTs too, but I refuse to harm anyone else to stop a partnership
I concur, however DDoS/DoS targeted at a router vs. the server sending a signal to a router is different.

Yup, exactly. But there have been hackers who explicitly state that they're doing it against NFTs
Personally I believe they always cheated in the past and they're just trying to use it for a "just" reason as an excuse to fish out people to support them.
Yeah, they're just using the NFT's as a convenient shield so they can troll in broad daylight and show off about it.
DDoS a server, don't brick the end-user if they're not your target.
Activism that targets bystanders isn't activism, it's terrorism.
-
Hackers willing to "harm" bystanders typically aren't your kind of activist person, they're more for the self-interest part of it.
They're the "activists" in protests that typically turn things into riots/looting.

Slugging isn't the same. It's a DS counter, but it has its own risks and the guy can use Unbreakable, Soulguard, Power Struggle, or be picked up by a teammate, or a dozen other tech. Dribbling just bypasses the perk at no risk and a minimal cost, and lets you get back to business immediately.

My point in a nutshell. It's bad game design for a PvP game. PvE, sure. Not PvP though.

I can understand that, but there are better ways of doing that than just saying: No you don't get to do anything while I'm doing this.

DS is not the same as slugging: Course not, that's actually good design IMO, different effects.

It forced survivors to cooperate more. If you didn't want your DS to get dribbled, you have to take 1 bodyblock before the hook.
Fair, though IMO the total suppression of the DS Survivor's agency (if they even have it, DS dribbling is about guessing they have it) isn't good game design.
If there was a method to incorporate both the Killer's input to counter DS alongside the Survivor's input, perhaps, but I don't know what that would be.
