Great breakdown.
I wouldn't say you are dragging down the average because by the numbers you are sitting in that meaty part of the center curve. My understanding is that DBD kinda balances around a 60-40 kill-escape rate which you are holding pretty well on target.
I said it the way I said it mostly for the joke. XD
but, dbd wants a 61% kill rate for the killers. that's their balance goal.
but either way, I'm the person who leaves the gates to solo try and save someone on the hook... by any reasonable standard my survival rate SHOULD be lower than average. (this includes when I have the "survive with x" chalenges 🙃).
with killer... don't really know the issue... I try to spread hooks and avoid tunneling. and I do give hatch when convenient or I just feel like it... like that jake running calm mind that I assumed was doing an adept but wasn't... but I was certain I had it above 50% at least... oh well.

The only games I don't count are meme games.
I don't play survivor so I have none of those stats.
COOL!!!
before anything... no perks at all! best survivor build!
it's pretty neat that while the positions were switched a bit... we have the same top 4 survivor perks. WoO, Adrenaline, Resilience, Lithe.
you have sprint burst and self care on 5 and 6 while I have deja vu and made for this (side note... a ######### ton of deja vu this season. weird) [extra side note, on mine sprint burst was #8 and self care #19]
but meanwhile... our killer perks top 6 do not match at all. none of them are even appear on both lists. that is really cool.
congrats on your wraith kills. as you can see above... I die to wraith a lot. XD

It’s not fine to me. They should release a natural color option alongside it.
understandable... but at that point, you should just ask for a color wheel for hair

It’s weird that their jerseys are in English. And I think Thalita’s hair should be her natural color, not blonde.
nah... the hair color change is perfectly fine... my sister did it like 5 times. ( I only wish I did)
-
Is was always and shall forever be... the poster boy himself! Trapper! (Unless someone I enjoy more gets released of course XD)
Because this...
Has always been my favorite thing about this game.
That satisfying clamp noise, the "I won" walk pictured above, the satisfaction of knowing the survivors choose the path that was trapped, the absolute paranoia I know even experienced survivors feel when you are the killer... there's nothing else quite like it.
Just wish trapper spawned some extra grass in the maps... he can take up gardening.
Edit- forgot... he also has some amazing outfits! Just missing a pickaxe!
-
here's how to get easy bp...
run a boon. it can be any of them. it's 1500 bp in the boldness category (which is the chase one, you can get that done between fixing gens for the illuminated one) I suggest circle of healing because it brings people to you for heals for the helping people category.
(can also be done with the perk that reset pallets, at 500 a pop. drop, reset, repeat!)
objective category is the easy one... do gens, cleanse totems... open the exit gates.
help people (forgot the category oficial name)... unhook others, heal them, protection hits. etc. gives more after gates are open.
now, run deliverance. unhooking youself gives, i think, 1500bp in the survival category. which is the worst one to get points. if possible, try to be the obssession when you escape. because that's 7k bp. escaping using hatch gives even more bp

Nope. But my job is to repair Gens. Not helping the Killer to get a exploiter so that I can be killed next.
if you do not have fun, why not get the cheater out of the lobby so normal gameplay can resume?

It's hardly the only barefoot killer/skin. Famously most of the female killers are barefoot, Myers hospital gown skin is barefoot, Wraith is barefoot.
Oni is a demon after all, I don't think shoes are a huge concern. Maybe he just wants to chill.
that is a fair point... and onis are commonly depicted barefoot and mostly naked...
-
many fighting styles are done barefoot...
can you share an image? the one on dbd twitter doesn't focus on what is going on the feet... and the users posting in game images are focusing on...let's say cake.
also apparenty david got a new skin? neat

This is what happens when you have a game with a dwindling playerbase where que times are prioritized over any other metric and the dev just basically go, fine, whatever goes.
There are very few new players so in order to avoid waiting for more than 5 seconds, they are pitted against 1800+ MMR Blights, Nurses etc.
Everyone is throwing backfill around like the second coming of Jesus Christ, so I'm REALLY curious what they will blame once lobby dodging gets disabled (I think Mandy confirmed this was at least on the discussion table, but I could be misremembering). Because even if backfill gets disabled, the rest of the problems don't get solved. Which is that Hockey Based Matchmaking is laughably inept at pairing people of similar skills together and that there isn't a big enough new playerbase to have fast lobbies for complete beginners.
I honestly believe that they should play against and with bots. I understand that people play multiplayer games for the social interaction, but both they and the other survivors are getting shafted while Killers can go around saying that Pig is actually perfectly viable.
mandy absolutely DID NOT confirm this.
mandy just said it on a whim as an example of what could help mmr work.
people say they want equal matches over fast queues... but that is usually a lie, people wanna get into a damn game fast.
also... who tf says pig is fine?

I mean lobby-shopping is pretty much a necessity for many killers to actually be able to have fun in the game, but yes they should fix the backfilling breaking MMR.
no it's not. they need to take the losses and lower their mmr.
lobby shopping, causes issues.

"what are player cards?"
Player cards are usually customizable things which can be presented. They can have banners, icons and other things on it. Maybe even stats, depending what the Devs want to do.
Here is an example from World of Tanks which shows personal stats:
https://eu-wotp.wgcdn.co/dcont/fb/image/en_customization_background.jpg
This can be shown to the opponent when you destroy their tank. And it can show a variety of things.
So I guess we will have player cards which will be visible in the Lobby and/or the Postgame-Screen. Could just be the name with some Icons like favorite Killer, some Perk Icons or stuff like that. Personally, I would like to implement stats, because if you have big Achievements (e.g. many Hatchet Hits or something like that) you can only really show it off on external websites. If those stats would be available to show on the Player Card, it would be nice IMO.
oh that kind of stuff. gotcha.
-
nope. just fine.
-
can I avoid a flashligh save 90% of the time anyway cause of a wall? yes
in the other 10% can I just look and chase any potential flashers away? probably...
but honestly... yeah. it's so nice to not have to worry about it. (probably made me easier to get hit by a flashbang... but I'll take it)
-
-
small changes.
adding a slightly longer timme between the sound and the hit on the xeno m2.
whatever the are actually doing to mft.
nothing major.
but honestly... I hope they just remove maps and reagents from the web... plus the oak things. no one really wants these.
also the luck stuff. just make luck tied to only perks.
they only serve to make survivors bloodwebs have too much stuff

You are very wrong. They are exploits.
Definition: In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitch, or use elements of a game system in a manner not intended by the game's designers, in a way that gives a substantial unfair advantage to players using it.
It is not hard to see that Blight's curve movement is not intended for "an unfair advantage" and Skull Merchant holding a game hostage was not intended.
neither curving on blight or defending a 3 gen is considered a bug or exploit. glad I could help again.

But Trapper and Hag don’t get constant intel like Skull. If survivors hack your drone you can find them by looking at your radar. If Hag had a way to see where people were hiding under a certain circumstance then yeah. I tried this set up with other defense killers, but it just didn’t work as well.
but you see... depending on the totem, you literally can't reach it without disarming the beartrap. or having to crouch over the hag trap, which I now realize that I don't know if it has a specific name, which wastes a lot of time they might not have.
demogorgon can do it quite well too.
you know... diferent degrees of base defense. to each their own
-
they aren't exploits or bugs so never. glad I could help

much like trapper or hag. she is really good at base defense. which can be totems. the issue is that it can also be gens...

I get what your saying.I just don't think your understanding what I'm trying to say.No it is not ok to cheat.Im saying the killers are so over power ,the survivors feel they have to cheat.that is not an excuse to cheat. And you shouldn't cheat even if they are over powered.Im not making excuses for me or anyone to cheat.

if i could downvote you for this I would. I've had several games where I had to die on my first hook while atleast 1 of my teammates sometimes all 3 of them were in lockers exploiting this bug.
this bug doesn't just effect killers negatively, it also effects survivors who just want to play the game. Reset is very close and I lost several pips yesterday over this.
ban anyone who has done this exploit, it isn't funny it isn't cute it is annoying, it is childish and flashlights should've already been killswitched.
sidenote... when is grade reset? does it say anywhere in game?

survivor: Now you see me...
This perk activates after you complete 50% of a gen.
After going into a locker for 3 seconds, press the active ability button. You will teleport to the 2nd nearest locker (if anyone is inside, you switch places). you are now exhausted (edit - for a minute? i guess...)
-now you don't!
killer: You can run.
after chasing a survivor enough to get bloodlust, if the chase is lost, you get killer instinct on that survivor for 5 seconds.
-but you can't hide

demogorgon.

focusing the same person while ignoring others. that is what I consider tunneling.
which is something I basically only do on accident. did you die on the 5th hook? I literaly did not realize it was your 3rd time.
or when the game is going bad and I really need someone to die already.
but if you try and body block me from chasing the unhooker, then you are giving me a license to down and hook you again. so that's not tunneling anymore.

please explain the placement of artist to me

Again, that is an example of airing a grievance you have as well as asking about a change/new feature. Even if you got a response, it'd probably be a stock response, because that's the kind of answer you're going to get if they don't happen to have something to announce.
It's not an example of a good question. If BHVR were making every possible right choice in these AMAs, your question would be skipped over. My point is that they don't have as many good options as they should because people keep asking that kind of question.
So me asking if they are or could in the future be looking into better menu navigation for console is bad...
What is a good question then?
Am I only allowed to ask about their favorite horror movies? Or the name of animals? Can I not ask about a seemingly simple QoL feature I would like to be implemented?
Dafuq dude?
-
I asked a very specific question about menu navigation on console using the d-pad instead of the simulated mouse thing.
They did not answer it.
They chose what to answer. And it was a very small amount of questions. It's on them.
-
There's a locker bug?
-
do you not try to win? that's what people call sweat. wanting and trying to win.
@Xernoton said:
Nobody plays to lose (in general). Of course people want to win.
I don't sweat in most of my games but I will concentrate on the match (can't turn off my brain with the killers I enjoy, they're too hard) and try to get better. I love this feeling when I can pull off a new trick on the killers I play and even surprise myself sometimes. But to learn these things you need to play against people that challenge you. Otherwise you don't learn to adjust to different situations.
For me personally, it's not about winning and losing every game but about constantly improving. Because once I stop improving, I start to play the same way in every match, which results in the game becoming stale.
I was called sweaty before for killing all 4 survivors before a single gen was completed and I have also played survivor and was called sweaty because we won and the killer only got 1 or 2 hooks. In reality many of these games are not people sweating but playing so much better than you, that they look like they are.
There are also people that try to do certain challenges like win streaks. I recently tried a win streak on Hillbilly and made it to 19 wins in a row. Number 20 was a loss because I didn't feel like I had to sweat. I had 4 hook stages (1 dead on hook, 2 hooked once) at 4 gens on GoJ and didn't camp 1 person out when I had the chance. It backfired and I had no perks to fall back on. Believe it or not but Shadowborn, Lightborn, BBQ and Lethal Pursuer don't work all that well when your match goes south. It stings but I have no one to blame but myself. I had it and I lost it.
"was a loss because I didn't feel like I had to sweat"
we've all been there "I'm in control of this I can chill a bit... why are the gates opened?"
-
I already play hag. And a bit of sm...
Not playing trickter on console again unless I absolutely have too.

How is it awful?
It literally is an achievement and meant to be a challenge. Taking a short cut by slugging is kinda lame and as I said, I'm super glad the devs took away the ability to get the achievement via bleed out. Seems the devs also agree that it isn't appropriate.
"Someone is playing the game? No. I am in this game and I do not want them to play this way! So they better play the way I want and do the thing they are trying to do in the next game!
I do not care that the thing they are trying to do is common, normal, expected, not toxic, not a big deal and just part of the game. It slightly incoveniences me!!! So how dare they?!?"
How is this not an awful way of looking at the game?
How is it even a short cut? That makes no sense. Are they not killing everyone? All it is is insurance against the hatch... Are you really that petty that staying in the ground for a bit gets you up in flames?
-

Just play another match for adept... you mean like the survivors that have to do that because they get tunneled out? Or make the final trade on a face camping killer and lose it even though they played a great match?
It's an achievement. It's supposed to be difficult. Slugging is just trying to take a short cut to the achievement.
that is just a straight up bad mentality you have there.
just awful.
