I bought the spirit perk Rancor from the shrine but am hesitating to use it in a build. The aura reading of 3 seconds is puny (but I guess could be extended with Lethal) but the thing that caught my eye was the ability to kill survivors by your hand without a mori. How would you rate it overall?

There is a fun inofficial killer challenge of trying to kill all four survivors via Rancor by pairing it with Nemesis or getting a lucky DS. I once got 3 survivors, but never all 4.

Rancor is one of this fun perks that's not very strong, but totally okay, and the instadown and mori can sometimes come in clutch and totally catch a survivor by surprise. But you sometimes also get mutch hate for using it, because "the is no counterplay" to it.

The info after every gen is nice, but a bit power creeped by other newer perks, but just last week I had a game where the obsession finished the last gen right in my face, and while the survivor was standing up, I instadowned and immediately moried them. That was quite funny, as the punishment came so immediately and explosive.

I am undoubtedly biased towards the killer side I'm not going to claim to play survivor consistently in any way but I am prone to read discussions silently.

The main cause of my confusion is that you don't want to just see pop pain res Grim embrace every game but when the devs introduce a new exciting perk that has counterplay and requires a synergy perk is the most complained about thing. I understand near constant aura reading can be annoying and on some maps ot may be problematic but I've never felt it carry games. If you don't want to see the same 4 perks but when the devs introduce a strong info perk like this or ultimate weapon it is complained about.

    Disclaimers:

1.)this is a genuine question post not me saying you are objectively wrong for thinking weave attunement is problematic I just want to try and understand the other point of view.

2.) I am not always the best at judging balance I liked old mft because it didn't plummet my dopamine when I saw it like dead hard and sprint burst do.

3.) This isn't an us vs them discussion let's keep it that way this is for survivors who can calmly voice their issues with the perk so I can try and understand why it is currently so hated

4.) Yes I understand the need for a nerf on 2 story maps and it's synergy with certain killers.

  • I absolutely hate to play as Nurse. Of course, I am not good with her, because I have not learned her power, but I also think that she is too strong. A player with 1k hours in Nurse can pretty much destroy every team, because they are just like a clockwork down engine, that ignores half of the game. While I regularly rage about the state of the game and all the busted survivor stuff, I also think that Nurse isn't good for the game, so I basically have no interest in learning her.

My viewpoint have almost never been change reading a Steam Reddit or Twitter post. On the other hand plenty of dbd forum users have change my viewpoint. On steam especially conversations seem to devolve into one side saying git gud or name calling.

This is a beautiful take that I can mirror myself. At DBD reddit, I only take short desaster tourism vacations, the DBD steam forums are just a no-go area for me, but the DBD forums? I feel right at home, here.

  • I guess, because Trapper is in a good spot right now, but also the starting killer, and as people get frustrated with playing him, they will seek out others. Billy, for example, is just as accessible as Trapper-kun, but about one million times more effective and killy.

Yeah im starting to think M1 killers need to be 4.7 for like Trapper and a few others. That or Trapper can just throw traps that auto setup

Don't forget, that DBDs posterboy is "in a good spot right now". Everytime I play him, I am so frustrated and quickly resort to unsanitary tactics and changing killer next game.

Random Fun Fact: The Spirit can see Spies alerts while phase walking.

I definitely have an appreciation for Spies and have always considered it underrated.

Spies has been part of my go-to builds, that it has basically become a crutch perk for me, during the Chaos Shuffle I often had a hard time adjusting and finding survivors, because I was SO used to playing with Crows and having my little birbs ratting out survivors all the time, that I really had a hard awakening ^_-

Its a real comfort pick for myself and I never understood why people downtalk Spies so much. All that talk about "its imprecise and you never know when it goes off and yadda yadda" all sounds like keyboard theory crafting instead of real experience with the perk. I never equipped Spies and felt that it didn't give me good value that match, quite the contrary, I so often found survivors or started looking for them, when I absolutely had no business suspecting them being around, and some 100% must have believed that I cheated. Spies is just that good.

But on the other hand, the counter to Spies is a really, really bad perk and basically no one runs Calm Spirit for the off-chance that the killer might have Spies or knows how to read crow movement properly, so its in a really good spot.

  • You are always so inspiring, C3Tooth, and I am so happy for you that this event tome is happening! I believe that this is just for YOU! Enjoy it <3

This is pure confirmation bias. You focus on those people who are Anon and toxic, but ignore that the majority who uses Anon mode is NOT toxic.

I have also seen plenty of people being toxic without being anonymous.

We don't often agree, but with this I can back you up 100%. I am always a bit sad when I can't look up some info on the other players, but I am quite aware why someone would want to stay anonymous even when they don't plan to be toxic. Some killers will dodge a lobby when someone has many more hours then themselves, besically the same as with P100 survivors. Hours and P100 are indeed a mark of someone who played a lot, but you can easily played a lot of DBD without becoming good. I myself am one of the best cases, I hace nearly 3k hours, but most as killer. When I play survivor I might occasional have moments of pure greatness, but most of the time I play like a noob.

If I were to dodge every lobby with anomynous survivors, then I wold probably only get 2 or 3 games per night.

  • I am not even sure that this change could work if you gave him a pool of 20 pods of which 8 could be active at the same time. Pods get EMPed so easily, even 20 pods would be eaten through fast enough, but 8 base? That would be gone before the match got any traction at all.

So why tunnel at the very start of a match like one gen is repaired and suddenly the killer just chooses to tunnel. If it's because the killer is not having a good time aka really bad matches there is something in the game to let all that anger out...custom games just make a custom lobby add some bots and boom let that rage out there since bots won't be toxic(I think) plus you choose their perks so most times just have them be perkless.

The reasons why people tunnel are manifold. The most widespread one is that it kinda works and not too complicated and that turning the game into a 3v1 massively increases the killers chances of winning.

I usually don't tunnel during the early stages of the game, but its a bit more nuanced than what you are describing. The gens being done is just half of the equation. You might only see one gen being done and a survivor getting tunneled, the killer on the other hand might have seen 3 gens that were worked on seperately while chasing that survivor and knows that the situation is much closer to "2 gens remaining", so even if they tunnel that one survivor out, the other threes only need to finish two gens, once they finish the tiny bits that are remaining on theirs.

"Skill issues" and "just go and pressure survivors off gens" is easier said then done in this day and age, where gen-efficiency is bred into the survivor mind set and most groups hit gens every second that the killers back is turned towards them. Most of the time the killer has to keep up an insane amount of pressure, just not to drown in an instant, and cute games of the past where you could chase and hook one survivor, one gens pops, then chase and hook another one, then a second gen pops, while slowly decreasing the patrol area, just games are not happening anymore.

If the killer is even a little bit unlucky and makes even a small mistake during the first chase, or Entity helps them, chose the god-looper as their first target, then nearly inevitable 2-3 gens will pop before that chase is concluded. And then the killer is REALLY backed against the wall with 2 gens to be done, but 11 hook stages waiting.

EDIT: Also, being nice and fair just leads to missery as the killer. Disregarding one or two outliers, every single match this event where I showed mercy on a dumb survivor that was on deathhool and who rounded the wrong corner, I paid for that kindness with losing the match. The games pace is just too fast nowadays and survivors prioritising gens will always outpace the killing. Kindness never pays out in the killers face, but gets repaid with redicule, t-bags and BMing. After the tens or so time of this happening during this event I decided to not give an F anymore about the survivors fun. No one is giving any about me apparently.

  • @Chaogod said:

No and this comes from a complete misunderstanding of why this change is happening. Y'all wanted changes to combat slugging and that's exactly what this change is for. It's not a buff or a nerf for anyone. Let's cover this real fast.

The fall off mechanic exists so that the killer can't carry you to basement Everytime. You are not intended to seriously be able to escape from being picked up on a regular basis. People seem to be confused about that.

If you are knocked down and there's no hooks nearby then you are gonna get slugged. Which every survivor absolutely hates. So the alternative is you either are hooked or you lay on the ground until someone gets you or bleed out.

All hooks respawning will do is just make it so that you don't get slugged and the game can move a little faster. This is no way remotely equivalent to pallets being able to respawn.

EDIT: To clarify it will not end slugging but you have one less circumstance where it makes total sense to do so

This should be pinned to the top.

  • I tried it, ie to not tunnel when I got the opportunity and playing fair. One single fun game was contrasted with about two dozen of utter sweat fests and survivors showing themselves from their worst side. I know that getting tunneled is not fun, but if you don't tunnel there is really not much that gives you the upper leg. 4 survivors is just too strong and they crank out gens like its peanuts. And basically no one can take a W and just be happy, they all need to rub it into your face in the most assinine way possible. The urge to give in to the dark calling and just become the merciless tunnelmachine at 5 gens is becoming stronger and stronger.

  • I saw little reason to play Knight before. I see less then zero reason to play him now. Wow, at this point they could just delete him. Why bother?

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Complete silence was not absurd before. The Perk just got overnerfed because it was used often to ShAkE Up tHe mEtA…

Anything below 100% noise reduction is just pointless and you might just equip another Perk than Iron Will.

I never saw a more absurd claim from you then this. People always claim that 75% noise reduction could as well not exist and that it doesn't do anything, and this is utter nonsense. 100% noise reduction just took away one of the killers main tools and completely cut it out of the game, without any setup, work or repercussion. Not hearing survivors ever and at every point was beyond broken, it wasn't just "to sHaKe Up ThE mEtA", it was seriously broken and extremely unfair to play against, with all the "clever" techs that revolved around it.

Killers audio is already so loud and blasting in their ears, that a 25% survivor can easily slip away, but AT LEAST the killer has a fighting chance. I tried the "absolutely worthless and overnerfed" Iron Will out multiple times and nearly always got value out of it. People are so hung up on the notion that being completely silence on command is fun and fair and even a single noise is completely and utterly destroying the perks raison d'etre, that its laughable.

  • The current tome challenge also has a "sacrifice four survivors" challenge. A mori, even a free and characterful one, is not a sacrifice. Challenges like this will always skew the current gameplay.

I think killers should only be allowed to run 2 perks and brown addons otherwise everything is just too strong and unhealthy for the game. Survivors just aren't having enough fun these days because of all these OP perk combos.

At this stage, I can't tell if this is sarcasm or real, and this troubles me.

  • Hello and welcome!

Just to make this short, some salty players (especially if they were among those two that got sacrificed) will claim that this kinda behaviour is against the rules and will spurt stuff like "Ya'll got reported. Enjoy your ban!!!1", claiming that its against the rule of "working with the killer". But thats just bogus. The flesh and meat of this game is the interactions between the players, and if a killer totally stomps the opposition and after sacrificing two survivors nods at the last two and let them do their gens in piece, thats not "working with the killer", thats players who are taking care of each other and not only playing for "winning at all costs, the other sides fun be damned".

Heck, so often I wanted to go for a 4k and then the last survivor gave up in such a cute way that I gifted them hatch. In no way will BHVR ever ban you for something like this.

"Working with the killer", as its mentioned in the rules about banning, needs some ill intend behind it, like a survivor somehow making their intentions known and leading the killer to the other survivors with their perks or whatever, and the killer sparing them. Or survivors sandbagging other survivors purposefully so that the killer can get them, while the killer spares them. Just sandbagging another survivor, btw, is not a bannable offense, you could use it tactically if you wanna go for a hatch play, its not nice, its despicable, but it IS surviving.

Profing that someone is "working with the killer" is pretty hard and nearly always entails video proof of that match. Granded, in todays age of twitch and recording software that might not be that hard anymore, but in the past this has been the biggest stumbling block for others to report griefing players.

So dl,dr: if the killer shows mercy on you, either because they stomp down hard or you gave up, thats just cute and not a bannable offense.

I mean it would kind of be silly to complain about a 2 perk combo being good because its half your build in one combo and its info and a bit of debuff.

I complained a lot about FTP+Buckle Up, which was really disgusting for a two perk combo, due to the lack of any real counterplay when pulled off right. At least in this case here you can drop you item at a safe place, if you really need it for some special occasion.

  • @VampireHimbo said:

Do they believe the person, now on death hook usually at 5 gens, is gonna play normally?

Because the actual result ends up in a person afk, or throwing all pallets in the map, or running to your gen and failing skillchecks on purpose.

The cherry on cake is when the person saving someone from killing themselves on hook is IMMEDIATELY downed, and they proceed to kill themselves on hook. Like, you won't let others do it but you immediately do it yourself? The CREAM on the cherry on top is when the killer downs you after you tried killing yourself on hook, and proceeds to slug you the full 5 minutes out of spite you didn't want to play against their Nurse or something

Sometimes, the sheer fact that someone saved them is enough to instill in them a last spark of rebellion and they might turn around and give it their all. It happens, and I guess its kinda worth it, considering that the alternative is just a wasted game.

tunneling not so much. it is main strength is camping. they're nerfing grim embrace by 2 seconds and deadlock by 5. 5+2 = -7 seconds. I would much rather run chase perks or good expose perks/anti-heal perk that don't suck. unfortunately, it is just not rewarding compare to running gen defence and proxy camping.

I have been running a mostly chase oriented build on my main (Pyramid Head) for the longest time, and it very fun and strong if it works, but the second you make one big blunder and lose a chase/let a survivor escape, it tends to all fall appart, because you have literally no gen regression and all those other survivors that you aren't chasing have just been sitting uninterrupted on their gens.

This game is hella hard to balance and with every new round of balances and meta shakeups, it seems that the rules and restrictions are coiling ever tighter around everything, leaving even less room for playful build non-sweat playstyles. Maybe we should really pedal back A LOT and just try to have fun. The problem probably is, that this community is too far gone down the sweat hole: you can't make them unlearn the behaviours and tactics that everyone had to rely on this last 2 or something years, so even if we went back to a more pure and innocent build of the game, the community won't regain its innocence and just play as sweaty as they are used to, now.

  • "Are you sure that they were cheating? Unless you got prove it might just be a skill issue?"

    Meanwhile the survivors:

    20220719042808_1.jpg 20220719042857_1.jpg 20220719042912_1.jpg 20220719042915_1.jpg

One of the more aggrevating subtle cheats is the "teleport in front of the killer when they pick up for a timely flashlight save". This one is really strong at gaslighting the killer into thinking that they are just playing an extremely goated survivor. This was mainly used in the pre-background player days, but you occasionally had this players who somehow stepped up behind bushes were they could impossible have been sneaking up to, staring into your face and blasting your with photons just to be called the hero.

I thought for the longest time that I just got outplayed, but if you look it up on youtube, its not very hard to find this kind of cheat in action. At least the blatant flying ones are somewhat funny in their openess and genuinely bring something new to the table that you don't see every day.

I also remember a David who constantly self-hooked himself and then chased me around as he hooked and unhooked himself, screaming all the time. That one was kinda funny and memorable, even though that game was busted because of the cheating.

These might be bad examples, do you have a reference image that can be run through a colour blind simulation to help understand and give BHVR a chance to address the problem? Is it only Dead Dawg or do other maps create similar issues?

Not against the point though, if scratch marks are in your field of view, the important part is they should be visible. The colour doesnt really matter.

The immediate issue with say white scratch marks is you'll be fine on Dead Dawg, but you'll be screwed on Ormond... with the variety of different coloured maps now there will probably be a particular combo the colour blind modes don't help on. Having an alternative colour like "blue" for those maps that you can toggle to might be helpful.

One solution could be to group the maps into different colors depending on the main one, like "greenblue" all the forst maps, "yellow brown" Eiry and Dead Dog Saloon, etc. I don't think that we would need more then 5 categories and you could then assign a new color to each one.

  • Basement Bubba would be the only one who got anything by doing this, and even basement Bubbas aren't a big part of the Bubba community.

On a sidenote though I REALLY hate it when I as the killer start smack in the middel of the map. You got no real clue where the survivors might have spawend, as indeed they might be anywhere, and thus the first gen you patrol too is a complete throw of a coin. You could very much walk around aimelessly before three gens pop. Aweful.

At the very last always let the killer start at one of the maps edges, so that they know that the survivors start somewhere on the other side.

PTSD. This perk is forever burned in the collective killer consciousness and any successful DH will just reopen old wounds and dark memories. I hate myself everytime I fall for a dumb, baited DH when a wounded survivor turns midchase and tries to run past me and survivors seem to be starting using it more and more again. The horror. But I successfully saw past and baited out loads of DH these past couple of weeks, too. It doesn`t feel triumphand, though, more like an inevitable doom that passed by me … for now, but thats just patiently waiting to ruin my day again, soon. This game will never be free of DHs deathgrip. shudders

This is important, so listen up!

Please make "Decisive Smooch" the gimmick of the next Valentines Day event. Don't question it, just do it. Thanks.

  • It's also mind-boggling that the events bloody eye, ie the BP offering, was bugged from day and they didn't manage to fix it is time. A bug is an bug, we could life with that, but they didn't remove the eye from the blood webs, forever teasing me if it might be worth to get them, just in case the eyes got fixed mid-event.

I hibernate believed that they worked at the very least let the event run a day or two longer, but nothing on that front happened. Sadge.

And yeah, I pretty much agree, all the normal BP gains we now get feel depressing... so in the end BHVR was right with their claims that we would drown in BP this event.

The thing is that Exhaustion perks are such an important and defining class of perks für survivors, they are the closest they got to powers. Old DH was a severe problem, because it was dominating the game and had insane pickrates; DH was suffocating the whole game.

Lithe and Sprint Burst, while annoying, are just the kind of exhaustion perks that you got to expect. They are strong, but front load their strength and "damge" and don't activate 4 frames before you got your down.

  • @Dreamnomad said:

3 things I want to see changed.

1 - triple the amount of bloodpoints earned per event. I don't mean an end game modifier either. I mean for each individual event that happens in the game, triple the amount normally received. (if a hit normally gives 300 bloodpoints, give 900 instead). The entire match is really short. Only 3 gens need to be completed and each down is a kill. This results in games with pathetic amount of bloodpoints earned.

2 - adjust the results of what gives a pip. I played 2 games as killer today and got -1 pip each game. First game I got one kill and second game I got 2. I'm not saying that was an amazing result but I don't feel that I did abysmal either. I have a feeling that even if I got 4 kills, I'd be lucky to break even. You simply cannot use the normal event scoring method here. No hooks means no sacrifices. Each down equals a death and only requiring 3 gens be completed means short games regardless of outcome.

3 - let us use skins. What difference does it make?

This are all very good suggestions. The BP are an utter joke, I mean it IS a joke mode, but no need to make the BP so painfully low. And I even de-pipped a couple of pips (I am down to zero pips again) before I noticed what was going on. THAT I think is unexectable, like why punish the players who just want a little laugh out of an april fools mode? NGL, I needed a couple of matches so slip into the real mind set, but now its kinda funny to chase this ultra smoll survivors around the map and getting smacked in the face by their pallets, but smash them underfoot or let them all go, it really doesn't matter.

  • Just for your information, I lost 5 pips over the course of an evening, when I was 1 pip away from pipping up, just because how asinine this system can sometimes be. One de-pip was because I dared to play the April Fools game mode. What a joke, literally. This update can't come early enough.

That's true but at least it takes a bit of effort. The issue doesn't go away but it becomes less prevelant without WoO working in this way.

A good Nurse can hit you pretty much anywhere but if she sees your aura, then that's pretty much a guarantee and it takes away a lot of the possibility for her to mess up and for you to mind game.

Average survivors will be more inclined to actually play around loops because they aren't constantly reminded of how much more they have to work with and if they play mindless, they might end up running into a dead zone.

I'm honestly fine with AMN. That at least doesn't allow you to play by a manual and killers can also break pallets to negate the aura vision.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3690131#Comment_3690131

Not in general. Because pallets and windows are not resources for the killer to use.

The only exception is Doctor. And on him I sometimes use Zanshin Tactics for the same reason survivors use WoO. I can completely turn off my brain. If Zanshin Tactics has to be changed as a compensation, then fine. Go ahead.

A Zanshin nerf would be a cute foil to WoO, like you know, one of this perks is the most played survivors perk and the other the least played killer perk. And they literally do the same. Shows of how different value the same information can be, but you could utterly nuke and murder and gut Zanshin, that wouldn't impact killer gameplay one bit, so claiming that this could be thrown in to sweaten the deal of a WoO nerf would be a bit uningenious

  • For real! I made a monthly reminder to BHVR to please remove de-pipping for various reasons, and they FINALLY did it! This is soooo cool! I can finally play anyway I like and give cute survivors hatch or whatever, without hurting my progress or fearing to have a couple of sweaty matches afterwards that cost my all my pips (happend way, way, WAY too often).

  • @ExcelSword said:

People in this thread are really underestimating how strong it is never worrying about entering a deadzone.

Seriously, I run this perk almost exclusively because it is so good. So many mindgames that killers try to attempt but if I notice they are trying to mindgame I just abandon the loop and head to the next tile that I can see. Usually abandoning a tile is risky but windows lets you plan it perfectly and it can really drag a chase out until the killer finally stops mind-gaming and brute forces a loop.

Honestly, I dislike this perk a bit because I don't really like perks that reward holding W, but avoiding deadzones that survivors make in Solo Q makes me still keep running it.

It's the same with Spies in Shadows, you can tell people how great and fun it is and how often your little crow spies will rat survivors out and give you literally eyes in the back of your head, theory crafting will always prevail and win the discussion. I couldn't care less, the less killers are running it, the less survivors have any inkling about what's going on.

And now that UW is moving from scream perk to aura reading, the 5 Calm Spirit users might rotate their perk out in favor of something more useful.

It's kind of funny watching killer players whine about the recently announced DS buff, saying that 5 seconds is too much. But, the DS stun time literally used to be 5 seconds and NOBODY complained about that part of the perk. The only things that were complained about DS were the old variations where you didn't lose it on conspicuous actions, but that was patched out a long time ago.

But now that DS is being restored to its former glory, suddenly it's a massive problem to some people. This is making me believe that killers have gotten so used to winning games by just hard tunneling since survivors don't have a strong counter to it.

New DS will not affect you if you simply don't tunnel. If you have an issue with new DS, YOU are the exact reason why this perk had to be buffed.

Because the last time we had 5s DS was old dbd. The game has changed much in the meantime and the pressure burned all idle bumbling and doing cute things out of survivors, leaving just mean and lean efficency in its place. Gens are already flying and many feel that tunneling is their only defense, however small and insignificant it my seem, thus feeling like they are put into a lose/lose situation soon.

I learned how to play against old DS in the past, and I had an extremely aggressive playstyle that relied on getting downs fast, with little to ne gen defense, so I guuuueeeess that I'll do alright, but yeah, players are overexaggerating and drama queens.

no thanks, perk is fine how it is. I dont get the hate for this perk.

The hate stems from the robot-like playstyle it often promotes; as the killer you can pretty much tell when someone is just running for the next big yellow blob on their screen, predropping, beelining to the next yellow blob ... there is a reason why some people refer to it as "WoO yellow brainrott".

And there is really not much you can do, unless your power let's you hit the survivor at range and/or makes them switch loops: you have to rub after them like an automaton and eat pallet after pallet, running to the next loop, rinse, repeat.

Yeah, I know that many of the better survivors favor this perk for the increased map awareness, knowing where chases are taking place, which resources are being used, where the dead zones are, and if this were the perks uses probably no one would complain, but it's this utterly uninteractive "beeline, predrop, beeline" playstyle that's really unfun and has basically no counter.

Yeah, in theory it let's you work through all the resources on the map, but it will also bore you to death while doing it, and some maps have enough pallets that this playstyle can literally last you 5 gens.

I had the idea to make WoO basekit, but only show pallets 30 to 40m away, thus giving everyone some basekit map awareness and showing the dead zones, but not being of perfect accuracy in a chase. But this could be enough to encourage newbies to play something else and try other perks. It would strengthen experienced players, but they weren't "abusing" the perk like mentioned here in the first place.

With it being basekit the "perk equipped" version could again show you all the pallets while not in chase, but hide the nearby pallets after a certain amount of chase time or 2/3/4 pallets have been destroyed by the killer, resetting after you get hit.

Again, WoO is not a huge problem, but it's basically "turn your brain off and play as uninteractive as possible"-the-perk, and with it being the most played survivor perk by a mile, every killer is bound to encounter this playstyle regularly, THATS why you see all this talk and complaints about it. And that's why I would like to see it nerfed in this regard, BUT were also totally fine with giving its utilitarian parts to all survivorsas basekit. Let that sink in :)

honestly they should just make woo a basekit thing just like shadow born is for killers if ppl don't what to run it disable it in options

What if basekit WoO would blend out the closest pallets and vaults, but showed you the farest away. This way you would have a general idea where the dead zones are, but hadn't pinpoint accuracy of all the pallets that are nearby during a chase.

I actually really like this idea, it might just be what soloQ and many mid-tier survivors need to feel comfortable to try ouit something else.

Also OP, do you really feel that Adrenaline has been "gutted"? Gutted usually means that it's innards, that make it work, were removed and all we were left with was its shell. I don't feel like it has been hit that hard, you won't heal after an unhook or run over the entire map, but its core parts are still intact, ie healing when the last gen pops during a heated chase.

Conga lines, general shenanigans, and absolute curbstomps.

    I also accept toblerone.

OMG, I remenber this one time on Dead Dawg I came about 4 Claudettes in bushes, and they had some choreography, where they would BOOP up in sequence and had quite the elaborate dance routine. It was so precious and I nearly shed a tear when I put them on the hook. Just kidding :D

  • Usually when I am stomping and was obviously matched with survivors way below my paygrade or when the last survivor gives up. I want some kind of guesture of submission, like, if you run the whole endgame from my and try to "win" the regular way, then I will accept that and put you on the hook if I get the down. But if you turn at me and crouch, then I will most likely also accept this and let you open the gates or get hatch. Just interact with me in any way besides BMing me and slamming something in my face and you should have a good chance of mercy.

But of course, I could be on an adapt run or have a certain tome challenge, then I will be sorry, but ask you to not take it personally ^_-

And showing that you got a personality during the trial also helps, never looking back and just mindlessly pre-dropping every single pallet won't make me any more sympathetic to you then you BMing me at every corner. But usually I am pretty chill with the last survivor.

Also, when I down you and wait 2s and you wriggle like mad on the floor, then I know that you REALLY want to escape.

then give me my sloppy back. m1 hits barely punish survivors anymore.

If slowdown is your whole concern, sloppy still does that, just a little bit on a timer. If they let it run out before healing up, you already got your slowdown or at least a good time in which the survivers where vulnerable and M1 downable. This game is always a give and take, you can't just overburden one side too much, or the balance breaks. Right now killers are in a pretty good spot, even though the good survivors still dance on my nose, but you gotta try to swat them any way.

  • 30s is absolutely ok, it was the 8s heals out of a medkit with 4 heals total that was a problem. And of course CoH giving everyone cracked infinite solo-heals.

Healing already took a pretty big nerf and now most survivors opt to not heal at all but just slam gens with Resiliance enabled and Adrenalin at the ready. At one point you can't nerf it any further without pushing it so far that it isn't any viable anymore at all.
