No. There s no reason when it just takes one second to down that survivor.

all 3 of the options I gave you could be valid under the right conditions.

e.g. you're on 1st hook, the injured survivor they heard next to you is dead on hook and the killer needs the pressure; the killer has pop that's about to run out and the gen next to them is about to be completed - they give up a down to save a gen and get into an instant chase with whoever was working on it; or.. they legitimately lost you

  • Because they heard a gen about to pop? Because they heard an injured survivor nearby? Because they lost you? There's many reasons to leave a survivor - pick one.

It rewards the killer for getting those shots at shack only when survivor is healthy. And you still need to suffer 4 secs stun.

So he's poorly designed and does not reward him for doing good.

(Also 18 m maximum range kind of limits his skillcap)

    Imagine...

Did you know that they're removing the god-windows in most maps? I can't wait to see you complain how that somehow nerfs killer gameplay :)

  • It really depends. If you're good at FPS games and are able to quck-scope with decent accuracy, then Deathlslinger is amazing. You'll be able to end chases supper quickly. Whether he's easier or not depends on how good your aim is. If you have great aim, he's super easy. If your aim is terrible, then you're probably not going to have a good time playing him.

  • I run whispers, bbq, enfury or whispers, bbq, enduring and brutal strength. She's a super aggressive killer, so you don't need to worry about slowing gens down. Only thing you need is tracking and something to help you win chases quicker.

Save the best for last is a good perk too, because you can preserve your tokens by dashing on the obsession, but I find it a bit cheesy to use

  • Some "solid" objects have holes in them. For example, the shack building has several cracks on the walls. Gunslinger's harpoon is small enough that it can actually go through these holes, so if you're accurate enough you can harpoon a survivor on the other side. I'm pretty sure it's intentional - it rewards really good accuracy and reflexes.

I played 5 games yesterday, all of them were a 3-man or more. One group even had 2 bloody pink keys. I don't know if it's just South East Asia being freaking monkeys about this game or what but I get >2man swfs a lot.

If they had 2 bloody pink keys, they most likely weren't queuing up together (i.e. swf). I wouldn't be surprised that most matches where you thought you were going against 3-4 man squads, you were actually playing against randoms who maybe just played better.. and the team that you destroyed was actually in an swf lobby

That's part of the problem, be more supportive dude, I have a rule of if I have a bad game I just re q and move on but for some people it has a really negative impact on their day or mental health.

I certainly hope the people in the above screenshot a do have some punishment because it's almost rediculous they can spout words like that without A having some action taken place seriously dude I would open a ticket with support and get these cretins taken off the game and B anyone who can roll words like that off their tongue with no remorse and sleeps at night doesn't deserve a damn thing.

Enjoy the game OP remember the avg is 2 kills per game at red ranks and my rule is don't read the chat and re q. Be safe

I can't be supportive, as OP's actions just reinforce and validate the actions of those kids by feeding their ego. They should be taught what their parents didn't teach them, but this is not how you do it. If you're interested in my reasoning, I explained in in a couple of other comments to OP.

I'm not as empathetic as you and thus am not really worried about this sort of thing having an impact on someone's mental well-being. Surely logic dictates that if something in a videogame stresses someone out they'd avoid it, move on or just play a different game altogether. If someone lets stuff in this game impact them, that's a choice and not something that's forced on them.

Nurse, Billy, Huntress, and Deathslinger are the hardest killers to play.

Oni is challenging too because his demon strike requires some mechanical skill to land against survivors that 360.

Completely agreed with one small correction - they're not the hardest, but with the highest skill cap.

For example, both huntress and billy are really easy killers for beginners to get into the game.

If you just picked up the game you can still do pretty well with billy even if you only use his chainsaw to zoom around the map and backrev people. Where the high skill cap really comes into play is when you start using your chainsaw to mindgame survivors and curve around tiles, which requires a huge amount of practice. Same goes for huntress - as a beginner it's really easy to hit hatchets when survivors just run in a straight line and let you maintain line of sight. The things that make huntress really shine is her ability to throw over loops, through holes in tiles, get cross map hits and so on, which requires very good precision and map knowledge.

  • I'm all for that. My reasoning is that it's just annoying having to scroll through 5-6 pages of perks to select a different build. It would be such a nice QoL change to be able to flick between a number of loadouts that you've set up in advance

  • Your killer dodged the lobby and you're waiting for a new one. Dedicated servers were recently enabled on xbox, meaning that the lobby can stay up while youre waiting for a killer.

I attempted to find the report section or at least anything but I couldn't. I reported them in game but I obviously it hasn't gone anywhere since this isn't my first interaction with them.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1216233#Comment_1216233

Because that's a lot of 13-year olds to constantly play against that belittle you nearly every single match. This kills any joy in playing the game when this is what you have to look forward too as a high rank. Or really any rank since matchmaking is broken right now. 13 or 40 years old, they shouldn't be using homophobic and racial slurs.

Just to make it clear I don't defend anyone who uses that sort of language. With that said, you often see children with questionable upbringing and parents who didn't help them reach any level of emotional maturity find calling people names like that quite entertaining. Getting a reaction from their target only reinforces their behaviour. Nowadays the internet makes it so much easier to be a troll, so with the newer generations this sort of thing is a lot more common than before.

However, the actual point i want to make is that not being able to understand that and letting it get to you shows an equivalent level of immaturity. Even if you're the same age as them, the fact that you recognise that what they're saying is wrong shows that you should be mature enough to also understand that they're just children who don't know any better. Don't let yourself get bullied by 8-13 year olds. Just report them and move on. They'll get punished for their behaviour and this will help them learn that the way they act is not acceptable - let consequences in a videogame teach them what their parents haven't been able to.

  • It's a decent build. Nothing to critique

  • Why do you let 13-year olds get to you?

  • @danielmaster87 said:

'Hatch tech' is wrong, can we agree? It's not even a tech, it's a game breaking exploit. Robbed kills for the killer, free escapes for survivors. Just make it to when a survivor DCs and there was only 2 of them left, hatch doesn't spawn.

Hatch is a feature that shouldn't be in the game anyway, it's so dumb. Is it too much to ask for my hard work to be rewarded? Why does getting down to 1 survivor give them a chance at a free escape? They lost!

Bottom line: DC 'punishments' are not and never will be enough to discourage DC exploiting. Just remove the stupid hatch mechanic and so many problems, including this one, will just disappear.

It's a game, my friend. Both sides should enjoy it. In real life you can, or should make it your goal to be rewarded for your effort, but that rule does not extend to video games. It could be the case, but it's not something you can demand. I guess you're actually pretty lucky, because you have so much variety that in 10 minutes of searching you can/should be able to find another game that feels as rewarding as you think you deserve.

Hillbilly. Chainsaw for mobility, with the fastest movement of any character, destruction to stop loops and an INSTANT DOWN. 115% movement.

And again. DON'T UNHOOK IN THE KILLER'S FACE. I can normally be seen on here with somewhat of a Survivor bias, but even I know how to get around countering a natural counter.

Technically, the fastest killer in the game is demo. He moves at 460% ms during shred. Billy with double engravings moves at ~300-320, i believe. Demo obviously can't cover as much ground as billy at that speed, but he's still technically much faster :)

An idea since moris now have to have an interaction locking in the killer to decrease "annoying" survivors. Make successive teabags cause exhausted for 30 seconds. Now theres an actually downside for being a prick and before anyone says anything. Cmon.. how often are you crouching 5+ times in a chase less you wanna make fun of em with your sprint burst or dead hard. It'll at least reprimand a survivor for being toxic for a small amount of time.

A survivor teabagging doesn't lock the killer in an animation that they cant escape. A mori spam does/did

You would only succeed in making her worse..and I also strongly disagree on your premise..but that's not the point..I see what your saying but..I dunno

I'm not attempting to make her better or worse. I'm suggesting that her power requires more skill to use around map tiles, so that she's not as boring to play as. In other words, she'd be as powerful, but more difficult and fun to play as. Granted, if you disagree on my premise then that means you already have fun playing her, so making her more difficult might make her less fun for you, but you did ask to hear people's personal views and opinions.

  • Unless you're facing a full team of survivors with 2,000+ hours every killer is quite lethal if you play well. I'll base my suggestion on the fun factor - I'd like to see an overhaul of the plague's power. Aside from the fact that you're literally puking on survivors, I find her gameplay loop very dull and I usually find myself bored out of my mind when I play her. A lower arc of her projectiles could make her power require a bit more skill and make it a bit less mindless to use.

I attempted to snipe friend in Dead By Daylight to play against them, we tried for like 10mins and i never worked so we just 4 stacked survivor. I thought it was because my killer rank was lower than our Survivor rank, (My Killer rnk-17, Survivor rnks- 13-9-9) and tht is my we couldn't match while living in the same city and queuing together... until i starter getting the most insane Survivors ever.

I got 2 kills but it was insane, at the endgame screen the rnks were 8-6-6-4, then the very next game i get 0 kills and the rnks were 4-3-3-2. at Killer rank 17-15 i can get matched against a lvl 2 but not friends.

i don't want a ranked KyF, just progress-able, remove challenges, rift progression and others but playing in a private lobby is fun until yo realize the last 3 hrs were meaningless because you gained no blood-points.

if receiving blood-points in KyF is a bad idea cool ill concede tht then i need to know why in a rank only game I'm more likely to play against someone 15 lvls higher than me than i am to play against friend tht are max 8 ahead?

If you play kyf you have all the perks unlocked on every character and all the items/add-ons. You don't need progression to play kyf

  • The problems you listed in your comment are all caused by inexperience. I assume you've not played for long and are getting put against experienced survivors who know how to run you around and do the objective. If you stick around and get more practice, eventually you'll shorten your chases and learn when to rotate between survivors to prevent them from doing the objective. It takes time though. This game has a steep learning curve.

  • @BigTimeGamer @Joelwino

If your idea of fun in this game is to win all the time and/or have 3 teammates who can pull their own weight, just find a team and sweat it out with them. It's not too difficult. My advice to you is to find exactly what you enjoy in playing survivor and figure out how to achieve it yourself. There's so much RNG in this game, that otherwise you're in for a rough time.

Personally I find chases fun. As long as I get 2 good chases from a game, I'm perfectly satisfied regardless of whether I win or lose and achieving that is completely in my control. It literally doesn't matter what my teammates do.

  • If you play the game for fun, just play the game. Ranks shouldnt matter to you

While it's good that the amount of dcing has gone down....it's not as good as its being portrayed to be. Let's throw in some numbers

If in 100 matches you had 4 dcs. Out of those 400 dcs only around...120 less people would be dcing after the penalty introduction. So that's 30 matches where nobody dced at all...

Additionally. These dc penalties only apply to killer and people who's games crash on them.

For survivor's who hit the disconnect button like wraith hits his bell all they have to do is die on the 1st hook. Achieves the same effect as dcing just that the killer gets some points. That's it.

The only way to remove this would to remove the struggling part of being hooked. That way you don't have to do anything to the escape attempt....

Actually. No. No it wouldn't be removed. Because once they were unhooked they'd just go afk or force the killer to hook them again.

How do you solve it then? Do what the conservatives did in the 1950's and bring about an age of blood point affluence.

    Increase the blood point cap

Double all bloodpoints earned from scoring events

And decrease the cost of all items in the bloodweb by 20%

That way people will want to actually stay in the game to get more bp so that they can progress even more. It worked in the 50's for Britain so why can't it work for dbd? Because dbd is not Britain it didn't have a referendum that's taken God knows how long to actually being delivered on....albeit poorly from what it looks like but....

    #bloodpointaffluence

You cant force a person to play the game if they don't want to. What the DC penalty does is that it weeds out some of those people, so you don't have to go into a lobby with them. The positive thing from it is not that people DC 30% less, but that you're put in a lobby with people who DC every other game a lot less frequently, because a lot of these people are already banned or sitting out a long timer.

Regarding the BP rewards, I would personally be against that. What brings me back to the game is the grind and the feeling that I'm playing towards a goal. If you significantly increase the bloodpoint gain and the size of the bloodwebs people will max out all of their chars in no time and a lot of us will have much less motivation to come back to the game

That is a good point! Perhaps it would need some sort of stipulation then - such as it only being applicable in the first 30 seconds of a game. Or perhaps not triggering if there are 2 or less generators left on the map. I would definitely not want it to be something that was a disadvantage for the Killer - that is why I made sure to add that I do not want either side to be punished for a DC. ^_^

Do you think that there is a more balanced suggestion?

I feel like with this game the way it usually works is that anything you change, affects 5 other things - a mechanic like the one you suggested has to be very well thought out if ever implemented, because under certain conditions it could make the situation even worse than it was before.

DBD mobile has a mechanic that replaces survivors who rage quit with bots. They probably wont be particularly useful, but would still need to be chased, hooked and killed. Maybe something along those lines could work as well, although personally i don't know how i'll feel about a game once i realise im playing with bots and not people

  • I feel the sentiment, but picture this: 4 survivors alive, 1 on death hook gets downed and DC's. Automatic game over. It's not as simple as you'd think

    1. Self, I run a map to rescue and penalised if they unhook.

    2. See 1.

    3. Don't heal team members and get the killers attention or so a gen??

My comment would discourage selfish behaviour. How many times have I healed someone only for them to get up and immediately grab the survivor I was going to unhook next to me but didn't straight away as they were nearer. How many times do I watch someone run around looking for the hatch and not doing gens because they found a key.

The first bit of your comment doesn't make sense - I didn't even understand what you meant.

If they got to the hook first, then it was more efficient for them to go for the unhook, you should have done something else instead of chasing after them.

Ever thought that the person looking for hatch might come grab you once they find it?

    • There's a kobe acheivement. It's normal to try to kobe if you know you're getting saved before hitting second stage
    • If you kobe you get 1.5k bloodpoints in the survival category, which is the most difficult to max out, as the maximum you can get is 5k, unless you wiggle, DS or kobe
    • Aside from very specific situations (and if you're playing to win) don't heal someone with self-care. Even if they don't have a med kit, or botany it's still more efficient to get the killer's attention or just do a gen

Based on what you've said above your behaviour isn't any less selfish than those people's

One great skill check is 2% progression. Five would be 10% . So overral it would be 20% if two survviors on gen.Wrong? You want to say its still 10%?

It depends on killer his build etc. I for one never commit to long chases so i know that even if your chase goes fast that gen may still get done if survivors work together. Anyway its wise to do gens separately if they has good loops. obstacles. But its better to eliminate unsafe gens first by working together on that gen.

I really don't get where youre going with the skill check argument.. 20% on 1 gen and 20% split between 2 gens is still 20%, however the latter scenario - 10% on 2 gens (20% total) is more dangerous for a killer because it applies split pressure in 2 parts of the map. I start to question your reading comprehension.. I've literally said this 3 times already.

Regarding your second argument, i'm not even going to respond anymore.. I'll just paste this and do with it whatever you like

    • 1 Survivor - 80 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 2 Survivors - 44.44 seconds to finish the gen, so 88.88 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 3 Survivors - 33.33 seconds to finish the gen, so 99.99 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 4 Survivors - 28.57 seconds to finish the gen, so 114.28 seconds/survivor/gen

You do make one good point that generally survivors favour certain gens over others (e.g. middle gens) in order to split the map/avoid a 3-gen endgame, but again, it's up to you as killer to plan your patrol route from the start of the game and defend the right gens and avoid chases that lead you away from your objective.

So you want to say if i get 5 bonus progress and my teammate gets the same that progress wont stack up? Really?

So you see 2 survivors on one gen and you chase them both at the same time?

Your first point is a bit silly. A great skill check adds 2% progression (i.e. 1.6 charges out of 80, according to the wiki). Whether its 2 survivors on the same gen or survivors on different gens does not change the overall progression bonus.

Regarding your second point - you can't chase 2 survivors at the same time, unless they both run away from you in the same direction and you shouldn't rely on this to happen. What you can do is ensure that neither of them gets back on that gen before 1 of them goes down. That's 2 survivors off a gen, on on the hook and one who's either on their own gen, or going for the save. In other words, gen progression is immensely slowed down - much better than what would happen if all 3 survivors were on 3 different gens - 1 on hook, 1 in a chase, 2 on a gen, one of which will eventually have to go for a save.

    I hope this helps.

You can do the test . I m pretty sure 2-3 survivors working on one gen and hitting great skillchecks will be faster.

No thats not scary at all and it depends on a killer and your build. Like i said you can do the test and see how fast several survivors will get to fix a single gen with all those great skillchecks. And you can t really pressure multiple survivors at once unless you hillbilly .

I already explained this to someone recently, so i'll just quote myself below. The discussion was regarding gen rushing with prove thyself, so there's a bit of additional context regarding that perk as well.

Regarding skillchecks - you have the same chance to get a skill check regardless of whether you work on the gen alone or with someone else and it always adds the same number of charges to the gen's progression, so that's not really relevant to the argument here.

    "Without prove thyself:

    • 1 Survivor - 80 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 2 Survivors - 44.44 seconds to finish the gen, so 88.88 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 3 Survivors - 33.33 seconds to finish the gen, so 99.99 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 4 Survivors - 28.57 seconds to finish the gen, so 114.28 seconds/survivor/gen

    With prove thyself:

    • 1 Survivor - 80 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 2 Survivors - 40 seconds to finish the gen, so 80 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 3 Survivors - 27.8 seconds to finish the gen, so 83.4 seconds/survivor/gen
    • 4 Survivors - 22 seconds to finish the gen, so 88 seconds/survivor/gen

As you can see in terms of overall gen speed it's only efficient for 2 people to stack on a gen if one of them has prove thyself. In any other scenario gens would be done faster if survivors split up and did gens separately.

Now to add more context into this imagine a real game - you hook a survivor and see all of their teammates on BBQ. What would you rather see - 3 survivors on 3 different gens all in different parts of the map, or all 3 survivors stacked on the same gen? I would personally shed a tear in despair if i see the first scenario. That's when I know I'm fu**ed. However in the second scenario (or even if it's a 2 and 1 split and one of the 2 has prove thyself) I know that all i need to do is pressure those 2 in order to gain/maintain control of the match.

Lastly, I'll mention that from personal experience usually the people who equip prove thyself (aside from the noobies and potatoes) are the survivors who don't intend to spend much time doing gens. What prove thyself allows you is to max out your objective points really quickly and then spend the whole match messing around with the killer, getting chased and helping out teammates. That's why I said that as killer prove thyself is my second-favourite perk - it's because people who use it are either absolute potatoes, or people who don't plan to spend much time on gens and just want to max out their objectives as quickly as possible, so they can move on to the fun portion of the match."

"Gen rush" happens when several survivors are sitting on a gen because great skillchecks are coming from several survivors. I always feel like that gens go too fast if i dont take discoordance. Plus you can eliminate unsafe gens faster .

It's the exact opposite. That's the slowest way for survivors to complete their objective, plus they're only pressuring a single area of the map. It also makes it extremely easy for a killer to pressure multiple survivors at once. The scariest thing as killer is knowing you have 3 survivors doing a gen in 3 different parts of the map - that's when you know you're in for a tough time

  • @SeducedByASiren said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1169630#Comment_1169630

Oh not all, dont get me wrong, im rank 1 and even with the gen rush i manage to win almost every match and when someone is better than me gets the credit, i just want to put the discussion to see how people think. I know to avoid the people who try to get your attention with flashlights or something like that because i know they could be a problem and the game its strategic and mechanical.

I don't get it then. Why would you complain if you manage to win almost every match? If anything, based on your words the survivors you face are at a disadvantage, so introducing gen penalties and all the other stuff you were suggesting puts them in an even worse position

  • @SeducedByASiren You want different survivors on the same gen. That's the most inefficient way for them to complete the objective and the easiest for the killer to pressure. Just pick your chases and don't over-commit to chasing the strong looper on the team while his/her mates go through the objective and you'll do just fine.

You probably feel like you're getting gen rushed, because you don't pick your chases, or because you're being matched against people who are better than you. If it's the latter, then your best bet is to try to get better and learn from your experiences until the devs manage to fix their matchmaking system (it's the reason so many people feel helpless playing killer) .

    I got you fam:

This 1 min 4k "proves" that survivor need to get buffed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE... Right?! I guess there's a reason I don't post as much on the forums as I used to. People cry when gens go fast (mostly) due to the incompetence of the killer (this includes all known streamers. Everyone potatoes at times - even streamers) but everyone's fine with 1-3 minute 4ks.

Sometimes you win - sometimes you lose (regardless of "skills"). Not sure why people don't want to accept that.

It's nice to read a comment written by someone with a head on their shoulders every once in a while.

    I

  • Writing something in all caps and adding a bunch of exclamation marks is not going to force people to listen to what you have to say. Most of the time it actually has the opposite effect. It comes out very obnoxious. Thought you should know this. Best of luck.

  • Everyone can complain about whatever they want. It's human nature to complain when something doesn't go their way

  • I think this could be a neat trick to remove the annoying situation when 2-5 people have to wait a 4 minute bleed out timer just because the killer can't find their slug. The only two issues I could see are:

    - the killer has no hooks nearby and the survivors will die to the culling, instead of having a chance to wiggle out of their grasp (I. E. The killer would have otherwise picked them up, but now desides not to, because they don't have to wait out the whole 4 minutes)

    - killers who want to hook, but struggle to find their slugs, due to sound bugs causing survivors to not make any sound on the ground will sometimes be denied the opportunity to hook everyone, because they'll have less time to look for slugs

I support your idea @rhodamia. I think this is a good solution to a common annoyance for both killers and survivors, that does not really favour either side

  • Call it corona-hunt and ban survivors from 'travelling' through the exit gates

  • I feel you. Recently I was in a similar situation where I ran the killer long enough for my team to recover from a 1 hooked, 1 slugged and 1 injured situation and do the last two gens. As soon as they finished, they opened one gate to start the endgame.

At that point I was running out of resources and the gate they opened was on the far side of the map, so I'm thinking surely they'll at least exit, so I have a chance to get hatch. Nope.

The killer finally caught me a couple of meters from the gate while 2 of my teammates (1 had left) were standing at the edge of the exit zone teabagging. Unsurprisingly, the killer picked me up, they both took a protection hit and left.

This was my second hook, there was no Noed (I got smacked after the last gen was done) and they were both healthy.

I wasn't upset for the fact that had one of them ran behind me when they saw me coming, we would have both gotten out. Or the fact that they didn't try to save me off the hook instead of taking meaningless protection hits after I'd already been picked up. What got to me was the fact that they stood behind just to bm the killer as if they actually did anything that match.

  • Are you playing survivor and how are your queues? They might be expanding the regional limiters in order to reduce queue times

  • They should, although to actually combo them you need to pretty much get downed instantly after healing a teammate. In other words even though it should work, I don't know why you would want it to work

  • To each their own. I personally get really bored sitting on a gen and/or hiding and would much rather find the killer at the start of the match and get their attention. As long as I get a good chase I don't even mind dying on first hook (I. E. If I get camped, moried off hook, or abandoned by my teammates).

I do mind going against multiple immersed players as killer though. They might find it really exciting to hide from me, but little do they know that I'm actually bored out of my mind and just want to move on to the next game. If you're bold and in my face during a game, have no doubt, I'll do my best to give you at least 3 fun chases.

  • The best mindgame I've seen is when a Meg re-programmed my brain completely blowing my mind. Throughout the match on two occasions she vaulted a window and Lithe-d away, so I was ready to play around that. Towards the end game I had 1 person dead, 1 on hook and I see that Meg injured in a dead zone. I'm thinking this is a great chase! I'll get a quick down, then get the last guy based on what I see on BBQ and worst case scenario I sacrifice two and the last guy gets hatch. I went after the meg as soon as I caught up, she baited a swing and sprint bursted away to a jungle gym. I could not believe it.. Both times she "lithe-d" away it turns out she just had her sprint burst 99-d and both times it activated just as the vault animation finished. She never showed me that she actually had sprint burst that whole time. I'd like to think it was a massive IQ play on her part and not just pure luck, because that woman completely outplayed me.

Needless to say I let all 3 escape. They probably would have anyway.

The time it takes to finish a gen going from 80 to 40. Doubles your effectiveness.....or halves the time to be less confusing.

If I'm reading it right, you're right about diminishing gains after two people but that means if they're running off in pairs, that there's really no reason to group up to finish a gen unless you're really pressed for time and down to the wire.

Exactly. Coop bloodpoint bonus aside, as survivor it's only beneficial to group up on gens in a clutch situation where you're trying to finish a middle gen, the last gen, break up a 3-gen start or deny a pop kick. In those scenarios it may be optimal to take the efficiency penalty in order to make the killer's patrol route longer.

Aside from this it's a lot scarier if survivors split pressure AND all work at max efficiency on their own gens.

Also, as killer I'm quite happy to give up a corner/god building/platform gen early on if I see survivors piling up on it. That just means theyre wasting their time making my patrol route shorter/easier.

  • Feels bad when a game ends prematurely like that - especially when it's a clutch situation where victory is up for grabs for both sides. I feel your pain in missing out on a tense and fun endgame

    Ok. Thanks for the breakdown.

Though wait, it's doubled with only two people? Isn't that a huge oversight? Wouldn't that mean they'd need to readjust the bonus anyways for parity?

They recently changed Doc because his numbers were everywhere. Wouldn't a lower but more evenly distributed bonus across all survivors make more sense?

I didn't understand what you meant when you said "doubled with only 2 people" - can you clarify? In case this addresses that - with 2 people on a gen + prove thyself they both repair at the same speed that they would if they were both working on their own.

In terms of your second point regarding numbers being a mess - I completely agree. Noone really understands exactly what the perk does, unless they take the time to read through the theory and do some math. This is why killers fear it so much and survivors think it's worth bringing to a match (aside from bonus bloodpoints)
