i don't think thay is bullying persoanlly it's a style of game play, it's annoying as hell because i mean the killer thinks they are "winning" yet i mean not many points will be given

In theory as killer you can camp and tunnel and still 3-hook everybody and get a 32k game if you let the survivors get the save and force a trade before the person on the hook hits the next stage. It's a boring playstyle, I agree, but it works if you're too lazy to hunt for people away from the hook (or just bad at tracking) and you're facing a potato team. To be clear - i'm neither condemning nor condoning this playstyle, just pointing out a fact.

  • The nerf doesn't affect me much as I didn't mind it as survivor and didn't use it as killer, so from a personal point of view I'm indifferent. I do like that it will change up the meta and force people to try different things, so overall I'm content with the changes.

  • How do you use BT and DS to bully the killer?

God I would have loved to have seen that hahaha.

I really need to unlock unbreakable. I've actually never played as Bill and don't even have BT unlocked

Yeah, bull has arguably the best two teachables in the game, so really worth unlocking them. In terms of BT, I personally don't use it with object, because it doesn't synergise that well with it. Strictly for solo queue if you're running object you generally want to divert the killer's attention away from the person on the hook, so I don't tend to go for many saves with that build

  • Well OoO and decisive go hand in hand. For the other two slots I like unbreakabill, because you as the object you get slugged a lot and adrenaline, cause you'll probably be in a chase when the last gen pops. There's always the vault build as well, I. E. Resilience and spine chill

You say this as a joke, but you're quite right - it is how business works..

Whether events and make money or not is a different question and could be viewed both ways, but thats a separate topic

  • My favourite is the og content - my 3 favourite killers (billy, trapper and wraith) and 3 favourite maps (coldwind, mcmillians and autohaven). Spark of madness comes in second because of Min

  • I think it's tomorrow, so 25 hours from now. It hasn't been announced officially though

  • I think @NoShinyPony said it pretty well. If you're not enjoying the game, why don't you give yourself a longer break? Keep an eye out on twitter/the forums just to keep up to date and then eventually if the things that bother you get addressed you can come back to DBD :)

  • Meh, it was too difficult to do on PS4 anyway πŸ˜€

  • I can't remember the number of games I've thrown trying to charge up MoM. It's really fun to run though

Then record yourself doing it. If it's possible. I know, you are gonna say "i can't but i saw others do it" believe me,i tried and tried it isn't possible anymore. It was possible before, but isn't anymore. Until you actually get some kind of video proof of you fast vaulting it in the newest patch i don't believe anything

I don't care if you do or don't bud - it's your loss, not mine. Feel free to keep protecting your ego by thinking it's impossible just because you can't do it πŸ˜‰

It IS NOT possible. Only way someone could have done it on you,is by going around the small wall next to the window cause the prompt does not pop up. Stop sharing fake information, and i know it isn't possible cause i have tried alot

You having tried a lot is not a basis to judge whether it is possible, or not. I've done it and I've seen others do it. :)

it's that hard for you to turn on OBS, and just make in it screen shot to make proof? it's like play KYF with someone make fast vault Prt Scr and here we go like 2 minutes job

    Screenshot_20200118_120801_com.playstation.mobilemessenger.jpg

Like I said, someone did it against me - here is a screenshot of the message I sent her after the game. See the dates. I get it once every 20-30 attempts (like I said it does take practice), so you can't realistically expect me take that much time out of my day just to satisfy your curiosity

  • You don't have to believe me. Go to the cow tree and try it out - if you were able to do a fast vault before, you'll probably get the prompt after a few tries. The prompt only shows up for a split second, so it's definitely more challenging - you can't spam the vault button either. You need to hit it at the right time.

  • If it's like on PS4 - you need to go to the in-game store and select her chapter. That will take you to the xbox store. The chapter is free, but you still need to go through the game store in order to unlock it - I don't know why

  • You can still fast vault every window in the game - now it's just more precise. In fact, someone fast-vaulted the cow tree from the wrong side against me the other day... twice in a row

I'm complaining over a mechanic that can easily be fixed yet the devs refuse to because of whatever biased ass reason they choose to give.

There is nothing to fix? I'm only disappointed I wasted my time trying to help you and give you advice.

  • @newavitar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007483#Comment_1007483

Or the could make it so you can see people standing in front of you. You know, like you can in every single other first person game ever.

Not really. As most killers you're much taller than the survivors, so it makes sense that you need to look down to see them. At this point you're just complaining for the sake of complaining. Take the advice if you want to.

  • @newavitar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007427#Comment_1007427

Except that when they run into you, you can't see them because of the god awful pov, so you have no way of knowing whether you stopped them or not

I used to struggle with that as well - I assume you're playing on console. Try to look slightly towards the ground - at c.a. 60 degrees (90 degrees is looking straight ahead)

  • @WRussoW said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007427#Comment_1007427

They point is, it works only with opened-space areas without pallets. If I take a few steps to see where they're spinning, they can see that and rush immedietly to a nearby pallet because now they can go to it safely. Yeah, sometimes you still manage to hit them in that case but as devs stated, pallets now are allowing too many hits going through them, so the amount of those lucky moments will decrease drastically. It's okay to miss a few attack but it is not okay when it costs you a whole chase.

Just be patient when swinging and get used to the hit distance and hitbox. They won't be able to get to a window or a pallet after spinning unless you swing and miss or wait unnecessarily long and lose track of them. Like I mentioned earlier - if you're on a controller and struggle to follow them, just try to side-step to block their rotation

  • @WRussoW said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007407#Comment_1007407

The point is good survivors will spin as long as they can, it's not a one-time thing. Plus, they're aware that you can't see around much, so not only they use the flick but also you inability to determine where to land a hit when they come close to you, like, really close. It may take a few tries at max to hit them but sometimes that one missed attack may cause you a whole new world of looping. Killers' mistakes are REALLY punishing.

If they keep spinning continuously and you can't track them for some reason, be it sensitivity or something else, you can always side-step and block their rotation. If you do that they'll just run into you and you'll get the hit

  • @newavitar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007407#Comment_1007407

This extra time can be used to reach pallets that shouldn't be reached, because you're waiting for a flick that the devs have already stated was unintentional and unbalanced, according to Oni. The devs need to drop this double standard and pay attention to the ######### they say. Worst developers I've ever seen and I played Battlefront.

It cNt be used to reach a pallet or a window. Once they've committed to either you can smack them, as they won't be able to juke it. Just don't lunge too early

  • These days the only thing I find toxic is survivors sandbagging their teammates.

  • Survivors do this as a 'last line of defence' sort of thing when they have no other resources around them. The easiest way to counter it is to pay attention to their movement and where they're looking. If they keep looking backwards towards you, you know that 99%of the time they either have the perk dead hard or they'll try to spin you. In either case just don't lunge - wait to see if they dead hard or try to spin - once they're done with their juke just smack them.

Very long cooldowns on all his powers, good addons removed, static blast being a weaker and slower version of static field; etc. I hate it all so much, doc was my first main and favorite original killer. And a shock therapy with a cooldown so long it was faster to switch stances and attack.

I think they were planing to reduce the attack delay after shock therapy and the lag between the field hitting the ground and survivors getting shocked was actually a bug. The static blast - I get it, but now at least you can use it on demand. As far as the add ons.. I haven't tested them, so I don't know. I still think he's as powerful, but the learning curve is not as steep, so more people are likely to play him (at least in my opinion)

  • @Eye66 said:

That's the only good part of the doctor update sadly; it's a beautiful map in every way but the doc himself got annihilated

Why do you think he got annihilated? I hink he's as strong, but the skill cap got lowered, I. E. You can still do as well, but you don't need as much practice to master him

  • I'll keep playing killer exclusively while survivor queues take upwards of 5 - 10 minutes. After that I'll go back to a healthy balance between the two roles

  • I did. I used to play both roles regularly, but recently started playing killer only, because I can't be bothered to sit through a survivor queue

  • @YaBoiFreddy said:

Legit strat imo there's many ways altruistic survivors can get the guy off the hook including that 1 perk that gives em a extra hit if the killer wants to camp 1 guy he can suffer as more gens get repaired if anything add 1 more Gen or onli a 2 hook game over ;)

Not against doctor. While in treatment mode he can short spam m1 (or R2 or whatever it is for xbox) and get an instant grab even if the survivor tries to fake the unhook. Doc is the only killer who's able to do this. Fotunately, this silly mechanic will finally be gone in a few days.

  • That's actually a really nice idea. It actually gives you a good incentive to rank up. I like!

  • Survivors have ways to counter tunneling just like killers have ways to counter genrushing. If survivors or a killer refuses to give me a good match, I probably won't have much fun, but I can still win. I agree with OP.

  • Billy. I love being chased by a competent Hillbilly who knows how to use his chainsaw

  • Likewise. I've gone down from 160-200ms average to 40 ms average. It's been great. And killer feels pretty consistent even though it's not 0ms anymore.

  • I think the whole issue around killers not having fun stems from 2 reasons - matchmaking and the ranking systems. Low rank killers are matched against survivors who are far more experienced than them, so they're not having fun. Even if that were fixed, a lot of high rank killers won't have fun. Because of how easy it is to rank up currently, some people get tricked into thinking that they're playing at the highest level, whereas in reality they're consistently facing people who are a lot more experienced/skilled than them.

  • Hawaiian shirt on Oni and Demo 😍

Thanks for your answer. I would have like to talk about it more, but I think then we would go to much off topic here.

Still wish you a great day and sorry if I had bring up some bad memories. I had just thought that there was maybe a urban legend I didn't know of or so.

Haha, no worries! It's fine :) didn't mean it to come out as negative as it did. You just asked, so I thought I'd share. Aside from urban legends and stories there are plenty of real life encounters like that. That's why I think the legion are the most realistic killers in the game and thus - the scariest πŸ™‚

I don't think it's overrated because it isn't really used that much, but it's definitely situational.

It allows you to do some really bold plays - it's especially good against very defensive killers where you have to force a trade if you want to get someone off a hook.

Also, you shouldn't let it be situational. Once you've activated it you should find the right time and force the killer to down and hook you - whether it's to give your teammates time to finish a gen, open a gate or get someone off a hook. The point is, you have to force getting hooked when it's most useful for the team, not just have it in your back pocket in case the killer eventually finds and hooks you.

I'm really liking the surveillance / surge combination.

It's great for tracking and works particularly well on stealth killers like wraith who can down a survivor before they run far enough away from a gen. One thing that's a bit tedious to keep in mind is the cooldown on surge - sometimes you have to wait a couple of seconds before downing a survivor in order to wait for the cooldown to run out and get value out of the perk. You get used to that though.

  • Very interesting idea! I think it may be a bit too powerful though. Even with the 15m radius with this power he'll be able to completely cut off certain sections of the map. Regardless, it would be interesting to test something like this in a ptb, but I'd argue that he should only have 2 stations with some sort of cooldown.

P.S. On your point that his bottles are only great for chases - that's not true. They're also very good for tracking. You can toss them in areas where you think survivors might be in order to check if that's the case and potentially flush them out without actually having to walk all the way there and check every corner,

  • @Talmeer - I used to live in a certain city for a few years, where it was quite common find yourself surrounded gangs of teenagers (14-19 year olds) with knives, especially if you tend to walk around on your own. It's happened to me more than once and the one time I didn't manage to escape I got cut. These were probably the only times in my life when I genuinely felt scared. The legion's backstory reminds me a lot of those experiences - a group of teenagers who attack people out of boredom and just for the fun of it. That's why I find them to be the only DBD killer that's genuinely scary in real life - not because they have a scary power, but because they actually exist and I've come across them more than once.

  • Like @Seltas0208 said, for dying light to actually be useful, you need to start stacking it quickly and get several very early downs. If you manage to do that, then arguably, you shouldn't even need any stalling, as you've already put enough pressure on survivors to tip the scales in your favour. You're better off equipping a decent tracking or chase perk instead of it.

So, to answer your question, No - I don't think dying light will become meta.

  • @goat10em said:

I have been a ruin crutch leaning, baby killer for two years now and looking for advice on a new build for my wraith.

Thinking corrupt, thrilling tremors, discordance, and pop. Or, corrupt, surge, surveillance, and something else... Maybe pop? Seems weird running that work surge though.

    Give me suggestions please.

Edit - I've deleted my first comment, as I missed an important detail in yours, so if you've already read it, ignore what I said.

On my wraith I run BBQ, Surge and either surveillance and nurses or spirit fury+enduring or save the best for last and enduring depending on how aggressively I want to play and whether I've been annoyed by pallet campers. I play without addons, but the clappers are always fun to use

  • I don't think I've ever ran it. Aside from blocking god windows, where you shouldn't be chasing anyway, I feel like you only really benefit from it by being able to force an early pallet drop against average survivors who just try to loop a single tile until it's used and then move on to the next one. These are not the survivors that you need help catching.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think OP was lobbying for a DS change. He was just demonstrating how the polling process could work in his opinion. @Mert_MK @thisdude9001

I think it's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure it could work in reality. I think that because only a limited portion of the community plays both roles equally, the votes might be heavily squed towards one side or the other, I. E.bias may overwhelm objectivity. Just because an overwhelming majority of a community wants something doesn't mean that they'll be happy once they get it

  • In real life I'd be most:

    Intimidated seeing the Nurse

Disgusted seeing the Plague and Clown

    Scared seeing the Hag

Afraid of the Legion (as they're the only characters that actually exist in real life)

    Helpless seeing the Pig

    Excited seeing the Demogorgon

Happy seeing and going on a drinking session with the Hillbilly

  • May I suggest GenericAnonUser (twitch)- he rotates between all killers during his streams and plays at least 1 or 2 demo matches in each session. He's quite educational in the sense that he explains everything he's doing and why he's doing it, while also very entertaining to watch. Probably one of the best killer mains out there.
