Yea, I saw that post in the thread. I'm sorry but not having to buy the Rift Pass, getting everything, including the Auric Cells, I don't know.... Which means that I can then buy other outfits that I want without ever having to actually pay for them (besides my Prime Membership) sounds like a great deal to me.

I wonder which has more players, Switch or legit Epic accounts? I'm thinking Switch...
Who really knows? That isn't the point though. I could ask the same thing about legit Steam accounts, and pretty sure the answer would be Steam, but then only BHVR knows the full numbers.
As for the OP, you always have the option of playing with cross-play off. They are not going to make a single platform the odd-one out, though.

as of the past 10 seconds, i just got a 3k with 2 alive on doors powered, one hook short and an INCH under a 4k, i didnt use the sprint smash once. This is not a fluke.
Yea, and I can get a 4K before the generators are finished with Pig using perks that don't even activate until the last generator is completed and not using her stealth. On Pig. This is not a fluke. Demon Dash is part of Oni's power, whether YOU use it or not.

This stuff in the mobile version is affiliated with Netease, which also owns it, not Behavior
And believe me, the Hitboxs in the mobile version is three times worse than in the computer version, Sony and others
From what I understand, Netease only makes the Asian market version of Dead by Daylight mobile (although that might have changed recently. I know they did some kind of merge of the two games.) For quite awhile though, Netease was getting a bunch of new skins that we didn't get in the Western market.

The problem is the emblems system is legacy of the old MMR system. Now, they just matter to bloodpoints. I've been saying ever since they need to remove depips entirely, because yes you can "win" the game and still depip, that's a problem.
-
They might be purposely trying to lower their MMR. Its not something I'd do, but I've heard of players wanting to do that. I do agree though, would be far easier to play and just don't 3 hook anyone.
-
Prestige doesn't mean much, honestly. It's just how much they've spent on that single character. If you added up the Prestige levels of ALL my survivors, I'm well over 100. But, my highest single character is Claire at 23. But then okay, lets hypothetically make me a P100 Claire since I'd be that if you swapped all those Prestige levels to her.
What does that actually mean? Just that i play that particular skin the most. Because in the end, Claire is just as much a SKIN as Jill is. MMR, good or not, is based on how often you escape as a survivor, or get kills as a killer. That's it. So... you could get your perks you want to use, then never spend another blood point again. Ever. Ever. Just stay at P3. Sure, you'd have no items, but... then items have no bearing on MMR, so then you do start spending points to get your items, now you go up to P10, P25, eventualy P100 but again, what has actually changed? That number still means nothing to MMR. All that matters is your kills/escapes.

How about removing cross platform from steam players? I'm tired of playing against cheaters who blind in the back of the head or through the wall, turn up the speed, turn on vh and are not afraid of punishment, because after the distribution in the epic, these accounts are worth less.
Epic tends to be the worse problem, actually. Back when it was free a lot of the hackers snapped up a bunch of free accounts. Steam they still have to pay for.

Making it not a scourge hook would be a nerf to the perk honestly. The fact that you can avoid using the proc makes it have more value in my eyes.
The new PR is still a top tier perk like it was before but now it's mostly locked to players that want to spread hooks. Instead of using Agi+PR for 9 hooks you can just run new PR alone for 5 or 7.
There is less time needed to be wasted to get your procs since it's only 4 times and also less problems with hook rng since you only need 4 downs for the total value; unlike before where you really wanted Agi for the full value of the perk.
Oh, yea you do make a good point. Being a Scourge hook you can save it for when you need it later in the match.

aren't there infinitely many variants of each survivor in the trials? like a multiverse?
I mean, yes to an extent. However, I would say that just because there is a world out there where Susie stole a hoodie with the Year of the Rat from a shop in China doesn't necessarily mean that her entire gender and sexuality is 100% fluid. As I said, this is not a "create your own character" game. The characters still have their lore. Heck, there is a fan theory one Youtuber did that Meg is actually a variant of Susie.

Was this changed? Since in the past the hatch spawned straight from the get go, but was invisible until the conditions for it appearing were met
Hmm, good question. That might actually be how they fixed the way you used to be able to find the hatch even when it was invisible. Blight could bounce off if it, and in certain places you could find it because it was a raised area on the ground that shouldn't be raised.

the Halloween license bhvr has only extends to the first movie, so they can only bring stuff from that movie into the game.
Same thing extends to the other licenses (e.g. Leatherface and the first TCM movie, Freddy and the remake ANOES movie, Pinhead and the first Hellraiser movie.)
Would it be possible to have stuff from the most recent installments of those franchises? Hard to say as only bhvr knows how those license deals goes and what they can do with it, also it most likely changes from IP holder to IP holder.
From what i can tell, the IP holders for Ghostface, Pig and Resident Evil are probably the easier license holders to work with when bringing new content to those characters.
Hard to say about whether or not Sadako's mobile skins will come to core dbd, but judging by how one of the game's surveys asked about if people want to see mobile skins come to core DBD, i guess there might be a chance that it could happen at some point in the future.
Well, new masks for Ghost Face, sure. But not like Sidney as so many players want. The license is with the toy company, not the movie studio. As for Pig and Resident Evil, yes. BHVR seems to have a pretty good relationship with Lionsgate (they had an entire freakin' Tome dedicated to the SAW franchise) and Capcom (yea, two killers and 4 survivors and 4 legendaries) and even Konami with the recent Princess Heart Cheryl (and Feng)

survivors being able to hold a button to bleed out faster after a certain time
hooks not breaking when a survivor dies on them
survivors keeping a game hostage by hiding in lockers and walking around the map not doing objectives
shrine of secrets updating daily
farm maps/knights maps being balanced
what are your thoughts on what gets fixed next?
- No. As much as it sucks to be left to bleed out, I hate as a survivor player when someone just gives up. DC, Unalive yourself on the hook, hold a button to give up. No, if you aren't willing to play the game when the killer is doing a strategy you don't like, then IMO don't queue up and ruin my games. Because when you DC or unalive yourself on first hook or whatever, the killer is not ruining my experience, you are. Yea, I know your experience is all that matters is the idea so many players have, but to me that's the problem with this game, and it's also why you will never find me DCing or unaliving myself (though that at least is better than the DCers.) Then, not to mention the strategy of "DC so friend can get hatch" is annoying and unfair to killers. The press button to give up would be the same effect. Does it suck when the killer slugs for a 4K? Yea, sure it does when I play as survivor. But it's allowed, and it should be. I shrug it off and go on to the next match.
- While that might be nice for Scourge Hooks, I think the reason it happens is legit. Being able to just slug everyone around one hook and camp them? You know darn well if they made all hooks unbreakable like basement hooks, that's what killers would do.
- Well, they did already in that a match has a maximum time of one hour. While it could be shorter, too short and you risk even legit games being ended because the killer was too efficient in gen slowdown or such. What should the minimum time for a match be? 30min? 20min? 10min? How about 5min? They chose an hour.
- While that might be nice, it would I think be too often and nobody would ever have to buy any DLC again if all they care about is the perks as a daily update would guarantee pretty much every perk would show up in the shrine in a single month. It's for when you just want one or two perks, not for when you want them all.
- Every map could use a balance update, and they are working on that, but at the same time, what do YOU consider balanced? It's probably much different than what I would consider balanced and what BHVR would consider balanced.

I don't think any of the survivors or killers should be assigned a gender or sexuality. every player should decide for himself how he plays his character.
For an RPG that allows you to create your own character from scratch? Sure. Mass Effect allows you to do this. You can play a Male Commander Shepard or a Female Commander Shepard. You can romance Liara or Ashley if you are male, Liara or Kaiden if you are female (Kaiden is added for males in 3.) That's great, and for an RPG it works. But this is not that type of game. Even the Resident Evil series is a specific story about Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, etc. As fictional characters written and created to tell a specific story, they have a gender and sexuality. Bringing them, or any original survivor BHVR makes, doesn't change that.

Yeah, the movie did a poor job, though to be fair while the book did explain better, its definitely IMO one of those cases of "Can we just not do this story at all because the wrong people are going to misunderstand it" and that's basically what happened.

It's difficult to tell, this happened around a time when they did a lot more AMAs and livestreams, so it could have been said there. Regardless, I edited the post, my main point is I'm pretty disappointed that limited-time stuff in the Deep Rift is being added for what feels like purely FOMO reasons. Thanks for the comments!
I mean, I don't see why people hate the Rift so much. Like, I get that you don't want to buy 1000 Auric Cells maybe, but I have friends that bought those 1000 Auric Cells and have never purchased any more. Ever. They complete every Rift and get every Premium item, since BHVR refunds every Auric Cell you paid for the Rift if you complete it. I dont know of ANY other Premium Battle Pass that does that. They might have some premium currency on the paid track, but never enough to make then darn near free (if anything, you paid for the first one only.)
(Now, I am sure others will reply with other games that do a full refund too, but my point is that not all games do, and BHVR doesn't have to do so.)

From what I understand, yes it's currently bugged, as is the perk Merciless Storm. In fact, when you fail the Merciless Storm, there's a strong chance it will instantly regress the generator to 0%.

Felix has a wife with whom he expects a child, yeah. Going to be a father was a huge part of his release lore and how he ended up in the fog and all.
i did make a list a long time ago in another of these threads, I guess i should get all of them (not that you asked for it, I just felt like redoing that):
Nurse has had a husband and she lost herself completely after his death.
Oni must have had children (at least one son) since Rin is his direct descendant.
Legions Frank and Julie didn’t leave out anything for our imagination in their tome story and are definitely a thing.
Ace is described as a womanizer in some of his cosmetic descriptions.
David has had a girlfriend at some point - this is explained in his ‚coming-out Story‘ as something he tried as he/his parents wouldn’t accept him how he actually is.
Not to mention any licensed characters with confirmed gender/sexuality in their source material.
also plenty of heterosexual characters mentioned in the various backstories as many parents being directly referred to as mother and father etc.
some interesting tidbits:
Twins (Charlotte and Victor) are conjoined twins - which are pretty much confirmed to have the same biological sex as far as I am aware - maybe an oversight on the writers part, or maybe one of them is trans?
Yui has had a partner mentioned by name in her tome story - though you cant really assume the gender by the mentioned Japanese name - it’s pretty much the only romantical relationship mentioned in lore that’s completely open for interpretation. Also the previously mentioned mobile exclusive that is talking about a crush on a female celebrity.
You make a good point on Twins. I considered maybe that Charlotte or Victor may be trans, however... I think lore wise that their being so strangely conjoined Twins is part of the reason everyone thought their mother was a witch. Like conjoined twins just can't be a boy and a girl, it doesn't work that way... but if their mother was a witch? The townspeople thought that their mother evil and her master the Devil would totally create an abomination like Charlotte and Victor. Burn the witch!
So that leaves you with the question of what kind of world did Charlotte and Victor come from? Was it a world where the supernatural does exist and witches that commune with Satan exist (whether their mother actually did or not is irrelevant) are 100% verifiable, or is it more like our world where some believe that kind of thing exists, but nobody can give definitive proof?
-
Seems they FINALLY fixed, this. Thank you BHVR so much! Moderators, if you read this, please feel free to close this topic, and thank you again.
-
The developers shoot for a 60% kill rate. That means, that out of 100 matches, 60% of the survivors will be killed. Now, does that mean that out of 100 of YOUR matches you will kill 60% of the survivors? No, but that depends on your skill. Some killer mains (that are not Blight and Nurse) run "Kill Streaks" on You Tube. Now, yeah. You aren't them. Neither am I. But, I also have some good games and some bad games, and that's how it should be. Thing is, I have learned not to let the 'bad games' get to me like they used to.

They cannot do this, as they did not get the license from the movie studio, they got the license from the toy company that actually owns the costumes and masks themselves. It would require an entirely new licensing agreement with the movie studio. Thats also why Dead by Daylight's Ghost Face is an original killer named Danny Johnson, and not one of the killers from the movies.

Simple question.
Do you think the game would be healthier and more fun for both sides if:
- The game wasn't a massive snowball for either side
- Tunneling wasn't possible.
- Camping wasn't possible.
- Killers didn't feel like "gen rushing" existed.
- Both sides have fun when they win OR lose.
- The game didn't actively encourage you to play in unfun ways in order to win.
- The killer didn't always lose 3 gens in the first chase
- We deal with problematic and unfun killer addons/killers/strategies (tombstone myers?, forever pig?)
Because if the answer is yes, then it doesn't matter if you believe BHVR can do it, its a matter of if it SHOULD be done. And if so, then i think it is worth pursuing.
What matters is that both sides have fun, and honestly that's a state of mind that is up to each player. I finally managed to get to a point that I was playing as Bubba (daily ritual, don't play him otherwise) on Dead Dawg vs. a "Head On Bully Squad" and.... I thought it was hilarious. They all got out and I got like 3 hooks total I think? But I told them GGWP in end game and that I was laughing at the Head On plays. THAT is where every player needs to be, but I know it can be hard to get there, and sometimes you have setbacks, but then you step away for a few hours, come back when youv'e calmed down.

This is EXTREMELY telling in regards to the community's perception on tunneling on BOTH sides.
While Otz obviously isn't an "average" DBD player, I think he is still comparable enough to be an efficient look at the player base.
Also, for further reading, Otz says he played around 60 games, with different killers, mostly using non-meta perks/addons. He also set a rule that prevented him from hooking a survivor twice in a row, which fully prevents him from tunneling.
- His 80% win rate is mostly indicative of his own skill, but this does have some weight when it comes to showing how killers do not have to tunnel EVERY game, specifically right off the bat at 5/4 gens. It's not like killers get sh*t-stomped if they don't tunnel for every game. Sometimes, it is a skill issue, and not the fault of the survivors if a killer is put into a position where they must tunnel to get ahead. There is a time and a place for tunneling, but its not like you'll 100% loose a 4k if you don't (at least in scenarios where a killer isn't at extreme risk like at 5 gens remaining and such).
- The fact that survivors still told him he "tunneled" after he specifically did not hook the same person two hooks in a row is absurd, and is something a chunk survivor player base needs to wake up to. If a killer does not go for, down, and hook a survivor who just got unhooked immediately, they did NOT tunnel. That is not what tunneling is, and it's insane that people think that what Otz did in a lot of scenarios is tunneling. I see the accusations of tunneling as sheer copium.
- As for people who want to be tunneled, that's fine, as some people just want chase interaction. Considering how boring gens are, I think that's understandable. I also don't think there's anything wrong with a killer giving what that survivor wants, or not. When a survivor begs to be tunneled and enter chase, its up to the killer to say yes or no, but the survivor can't turn around an sh*t on the killer for "tunneling" if they then go down. It's their fault they were the killer's next target.
- I have no thoughts on a team trying to prevent a killer from tunneling. Makes sense. 👍️
I mainly take issue with the first two points, as they poke holes in very prevalent opinions the community has. By "take issue" I don't mean I take issue with Otz's conclusions, I think they are apt based on his experiences, I mean I take issue with the opinions of the community.
Just the other day I got a 4K against a 2-man SWF and solos that accused me of tunneling, and they were as you say one that asked to be tunneled... He was really good at looping, the remaining survivors didn't bother doing generators, just hid... so it was just me chasing him and him clicking his flashlight at me... Then he accuses me of tunneling him, calls me trash, etc...
-
I just had a similar thing happen as Legion. Going to make a separate report, as it's a different situation, but same end result. David DCed during my Mori and this was the result the rest of the match (funny enough, I still got a 4K on the two remaining survivors.

To a problem they flat out ignored the last time they acknowledged it.
They didn't "flat out ignore" it. They did what they can, but DDoS attacks are a cybercrime and have been for 40 years or more. If a video game company could completely stop them, there would be no reason for them to be a crime. The problem is Steam sharing your IP (unless you have that setting turned off as I do) to give you a faster connection to the other players.

I do 100% agree with this. I feel like rift cosmetics should be available during the associated rift and then never again. I think it's cheap of BHVR to rerelease old rift skins instead of making new ones. I do get that there are some people who want old rift skins but I believe that you can't have everything you want and if you weren't there to get it then so be it.
These are fighting words on these forums, people HATE FOMO and sounds like you want more FOMO? No, we have enough FOMO in this game already.

Today when I logged in I saw that BHVR had decided to release a skin for Haddie (Online Interview Get-up) to the store and I was disappointed with their choice. When you're paying monthly for content I do believe that you should get some privileges such as exclusive content because the subscribers are paying every month without knowing what content they're gonna get. This is different from the store where people can choose if they want to pay for a certain skin or not. I also think that it's kind of cheap for them to release recolored skins for Amazon Prime subscribers. I do get that they can't pour all their resources into making new skins every month but at least make these skins exclusive to the subscribers.
I'd like to hear your opinions on it as well.
I didn't buy that outfit. Others that want it now, they have to pay for it. It doesn't matter to me if they have it. Then I had the recent Spirit match where while they didn't DC, two survivors came straight to me and BMed, let me hook them, then tried to escape the hook on their own.. How do you see if it is on the known issues? Or if the devs are aware of this issue.
It was really funny, me and my friends went to custom game trying to recreate the bug, we laughed a lot.
From what we found, you can see the weapon swing effect, red stain if not in nightfall and the appendages on certain animations.
I only happens in nightfall, it seems to be random and sometimes he can be invisible for one survivor but not others, but that was rare, we only managed to get that once
The killer has no way to know this is happening, for them everything looks normal. Teleporting by any means, locker or to the remnant removes the invisibility, but you can get it multiple times during a match, its random. Some times we managed to get the bug on first teleport, sometimes the entire nighfall went and nothing happened. Most of the time i would say it took between 2-3 teleports i nightfall to activate, but again it was random
You are also immune to aura reading from the survivor while invisible.
Also the spectator screen also became broken, the match was in permanent nightfall for the spectators.
I don't know what happened with Dredge, but he is completely glitched right now
There is a known issues page, and in fact Dredge is now not only on that list, he has been disabled ("killswitch") completely until they fix him.

Not every killer has to have no chase power or map mobility. BHVR keeps releasing killers that incentivize the worst aspects of the game such as tunneling and camping a 3 gen.
I am genuinely convinced that people say they like Skull Merchant are trolling. There's a reason the matchmaking incentive is still 100% killer despite a new chapter dropping...
Oh and also all of the perks they've released besides 2 are complete garbage. They also completely gutted several other perks along with the patch.
Matchmaking incentive is based on YOUR MMR to try and get more players in your range so it doesn't have to take from higher and lower ranges. So, just because Killer is +100 for you, doesn't mean it's +100 for me. In fact, just tonight as survivor i was getting +100 on survivor. I don't know or care what my MMR is, but... all I can say is that my MMR is apparently not in range of yours.

You're being cut off and zoned until you go through enough windows and tiles where eventually you're in a deadzone and they get a hit. I love certain killers gameplay like spirit, blight, deathslinger, huntress, oni.. etc where you have to dodge hits and predict where they are going to go/shoot, there is mindgaming involved and loops are actually utilized properly. I wish we had more gameplay like this because with the Knight and Skull Merchants recent releases I am getting concerned for the downfall of Dead By Daylight.
I used to follow a streamer that I stopped watching because all she ever did was complain about "boring Hold W killers" that wouldn't let her run them in circles around a safe pallet even as she exploited Dead Hard to get to that next pallet (this was before they removed Dead Hard for distance.) Even killers without anti-loop, they'd break the pallet, she'd run to the next one and booooring. Like what did she actually want?
I personally don't find running in a circle that fun, but you do you.

This may sound weird, but put her perks in alphabetical order. I've heard that is a thing. I wouldn't know for sure, as I AM OCD about such things already so my perks are already in alphabetical order, however I also had no problem getting Adept Dredge after the patch. So it might work.

And what's the verdict on that? Still one sided for SWF and one sided for killer vs randoms?
Yes, because true balance happens with a snap of their fingers and a wiggle of their nose. Wait, they can't wiggle their nose I bet.... Dang, that means the game will never be balanced. They should just leave things alone entirely. Not even try.
