Yea, I have the entire Event Page done, so I can verify they do exist, just as others have said, not all chests will spawn in as a Winter one. So your best bet is to bring Plunderers and if you really want to maximize your chances of finding one, bring a purple coin for two extras instead of the one from the event offering.
-
So anyone by chance know, why do they insist on using British spelling of words even when the game itself uses American/Canadian? Like the game says Hemorrhage but they insist on spelling it Haemorrhage.
-
I think the reason is more for the fact that some have gotten the new version, and there would be no way to revoke the achievement for those that do not own the Stranger Things DLC.
-
Very Rare and higher skins never have a shard cost when they are first released. They will in a month.
Yes, I know you did kind of say this, but this policy is nothing new. -
That was sarcasm to the second part of your post.

I thought it might be a bug at first but I checked the perk description and Weaving Spiders says “press ability button 1” while Treacherous crows says button 2
So clearly it’s intentional…
Wow, so yeah. I mean a streamer I mentioned it to did kind of make a good point… I don't 100% agree, but I think I see BHVR probably though as he does… When we have 4 Invocation perks in the future, it will get very broken (pun not intended) since the effects are permanent changes to the trial, not able to be cleansed/snuffed like Hexes/Boons.

Killer Main (The Pig) Here: This has to be a bug, and if it isn't it's a terrible design decision.

Nobody is excited for a knockoff Deathslinger, with a gimmicky search ability that is essentially useless. Could’ve taken much more interesting routes for the power and made the killer look cooler.
Imagine if they made her a skeleton/ water logged corpse with a boarding axe and a skeleton dog or something cool like that. Normal human looking killers are getting stale.
Yea, too bad it's not possible for them to create alternate looks for killers or survivors in the future.
-
Well, also remember one thing… Players will throw games to get Tome challenges done. So if they have a challenge "Get 4 Unhooks" they are going to beeline to every hook and try to be first there.
-
I have said before and I say again, they made a mistake in the past. There used to be Rare, Common, and Uncommon Map offerings. The Uncommon increased the chances of a map by 5, and the common by 2. The Rare is 9,999. That's right. 9,999. That's why the Rare is an absolute guaranteed chance. But they decided to cut down on the clutter of map offerings and removed the Common and Uncommon ones…. keeping the Rares. They should bring back the Uncommon and get rid of the Rares.
-
Never heard of this before, but this is likely a personal bug, therefore your best bet would be to open a support ticket.

This was an Amazon Prime offering, none of which have come to the Store. There is a recolor of Haddie's offering, but not the actual one from the Prime benefits. That very well could be why it hasn't and likely won't be added to the Store any time soon (if at all.)

Yes, please! Their entire reasoning for changing her to 32 meters was BS because they then released other killers (not to mention Myers who didn't get changed either) that were stealth but had a smaller terror radius.
GIVE AMANDA BACK HER 28M TERROR RADIUS, BHVR! -

Didnt say anything about being good. when swapping to killer from Survivor for the first ever game on that roll, killer MMR should be at 0 not tied with your survivor one.
My point was that just because a survivor going against you is P100 doesn't mean THEY are any good. Plus, as so many others have said, if you have significantly played as survivor, you likely know what tricks survivors have and how to counter them. So yes, your early matches will be very very easy.
Prestige is a measure of how much time you've spent playing the game, it has nothing whatsoever to do with your MMR. While likely those with high prestige should be better in theory, that's not always the case.
In fact, I have a P50 Jill, but most of my bloodpoints come from playing Killer side. So that should tell you even more of how little my P50 Jill means to my survivor MMR. -
@Autharia said:
I don't find it hard to believe as MMR doesn't split between survivor and killer. Played up to higher ranking in SoloQ survivor and first ever game as killer was vs 2 P30 and a P100. So if her was a killer main going to survivor to test it suck more.
Just because you are high prestige doesn't mean you are any good. Me? I have a P50 Jill Valentine, multiple survivors 9+ and all at least 3. But I have about a 20% escape rate according to my Nightlight stats. Killer side I have a P55 Pig and about a 65% kill rate.
-
Why don't I get survivors like you are complaining about when I am playing Killer with Pentimento? By that I mean I can never get more than 1 stack of Pentimento cause they always get re-cleansed too quickly.

How so? Survivor mains are always screaming for basekit unbreakable, but I've never heard of anything of it actually happening except in the first iteration of the Finisher Mori on the PTB (that was utterly horrible, survivor mains and killer mains agreed for the only time in DBD history probably)

The issue is that only benefits the killer. I don’t agree with infinite unbreakable at all but this also is not a fair option. Because then killers will just 4 man slug everyone knowing the survivors will force bleed out to get out of the match, killer gets their 4K. That takes zero effort, skill and artificially inflates MMR and kill rates
Except they don't. A bleed out does not count as a kill as far as the game is concerned. Sure, it might mean something in your KILL STREAK CHALLENGE count, but you get no points and it doesn't count as a kill in the numbers (it might mean something to MMR) but does not for Adept.

We're pretty sure you get 50 points for the death and does count towards adept (this one we're not 100 on).
No, it does not count toward the adept, and maaybe you get 50 points, but you don't get the full points for a hook nor for a sacrifice both of which are way more than 50 points. Again, though… it does NOT count toward an Adept achievement.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/429728/survivor-escape-reward
There should be secondary objectives to allow for more then just one person to escape if a game goes south. More then a few games go down the drain because one person is taken out so insanely early that winning after that is near impossible. Something like a 2 man escape plan where 3 people can try to finish the game normally or switch to the 2 man escape option, but one of the 3 is certain to die.
They actually used to have that, but it was removed. When it was first introduced, The Hatch spawned (but was closed) once there was a certain number of generators remaining, based on the current number of survivors alive. If I recall correctly, it was 1 for 4, 2 for 3, 3 for 2, then the normal last survivor it opens. If players had a key, this meant that they could all escape through the hatch, all 4 survivors, if they completed enough generators but for some reason could not or did not choose to complete the last ones. There was even an achievement for opening the hatch and having all 4 survivors use it (this was then changed to just needing one survivor to open the hatch with a key and use it.)
-
Yes, you don't get points at all for a "Bleed Out" and it doesn't count as a kill for purposes of an Adept or Emblems. That is why it's considered so toxic, since the killer is actively hurting their own gameplay just to be toxic.
-
@Grimlet09 said:
we shodnt reward for ppl quitting a round cause game felt bad. :( ever. :(
Where did I say that? I am talking about when the KILLER DCs, it should count as an escape for the SURVIVORS. The killer chose to give up, the survivors shouldn't be punished.
-
The reason the killer quits shouldn't matter. I get "toxic" survivors (though I don't think of it that way, I know what the community deems toxic behavior from survivors) all the time, but I take my points and go next, I don't quit the second the gates open, which has been happening lately for a lot of my matches on survivor.
But yes, if a survivor quits, the killer gets a "quitter bonus" AND gets a kill (assuming they manage to kill the bot) whereas when the killer DCs, the survivors do not get an escape. -

It isn't just a matter of BHVR reverting changes, it is also about playstyles. The EGC makes playing like the old Endgame difficult, but even if it wasn't around (and it shouldn't be, because there were better ways of preventing survivors from holding the game hostage), it doesn't change anything if someone still decides to facecamp.
Dracula didn't have to camp at the end game, even if it failed. The old endgame requires changes to both the game and playstyles, which is why we shouldn't normalize endgame camping.
As for the second point, it isn't even what I am arguing here. Just said it to give an example of an assumption.
And I replied to it because it would have been a reasonable assumption.

That would only happen if the killer fails to find anyone, which can happen. But, for example, Dracula there had BBQ, he knew where to look. And unfortunately I do not have them recorded, but I had trials where the killer still hunted and got hooks at the end game without camping.
It isn't matter of expecting the killer to give up, otherwise I would give up myself when playing killer. It is a matter of wanting the endgame to be the same as it used to be.
You can not 'appreciate the assumption
I can. And I do.
It is the same as if I assumed you just expected an easy kill and expected survivors to give up and leave their teammate to die. I didn't and wouldn't do that, because it clearly isn't what you said.
Well, end game isn't going to be the same as it used to be. I'd like for them to bring back the ability to open the hatch early so that I can get the damn "Open the hatch with a key" challenges done without waiting for the killer to close the hatch, then hoping he doesn't find me before I can reopen it, assuming even then I am the last survivor. But that's not happening either.
As for giving up and leaving your teammates, sometimes that's the best thing to do. I recently had a game where Ash had an active Reverse Bear Trap on his head. One survivor was already dead, Claudette opened the gate and dipped immediately. Jill stayed around in the exit gate because she was a "team player" (she told me so, along with how bad a killer I am and that I must be an only child because I don't know how to be a team player) and so I downed her and hooked her near the end of the EGC. She went tried to Kobe, failed, and then started struggling. The Ash's head popped and… they both died. Now, if she had dipped when the Claudette did instead of sticking around, Ash would have had a chance for hatch. But because she stuck around, he did not… and they both died. So yes, sometimes players should take the win they can get and not try to get everyone out. -

Except it was said that Naughty Bear is the only non-human survivor, and that's just not true. "Costumes vs. Actualities" means nothing, as every skin in this game is just a costume in the end.

the other option is to give up entirely and let all the remaining survivors out which I am sure is what you think the killer should do
And when did I say that?
Or when did I say that I, as a killer, always let survivors go?
I don't know if you were here for it, but the endgame in DBD used to be more than just camping and rushed actions. That doesn't mean they never happened, but generally speaking it was a part of the game where there was still time for people to do things.
Endgame camping wasn't normalized, it wasn't something you would expect to happen every single game. Killers would often go for another chase and another hook, it happened. And that is how it should be. I can understand the thought process behind doing it, but endgame camping is not fun for anyone involved, it isn't something that should have been normalized.
There is a very clear difference between the old endgame and "giving up and letting survivors go" which I clearly didn't say. I do not appreciate the assumption.
Except as others have said, if the killer runs off to look for other survivors, they are giving an easy unhook and likely the doors will get opened and everyone will get out. So it really is a case of either camp (again, anti-face camp is TURNED OFF BY BHVR) or else risk losing entirely. You can not 'appreciate the assumption' and claim that isn't what you said, but whether you said it in actual words or not, that IS what you are saying in practice.

Endgame camping is the problem.
I have always been extremely against it. I refuse to do it as killer, and I hate seeing it as survivor.
It is something that I don't think should have ever been normalized.
What else should the killer do? Go patrol the completed generators in case the survivors… go back to make sure they are repaired? Really there is nothing for the killer to do except wait for other survivors to attempt a rescue, or the other option is to give up entirely and let all the remaining survivors out which I am sure is what you think the killer should do, but that's just not reasonable to expect of most killers.

Yea, it's due to the outfits that are locked sets, they'd be spread out in those blank spots otherwise.

For me it's The Doctor. I have autistic sensory overload at basekit, if he brings the Iridescent King addon then it's a straight up DC from me. I hate to DC against any killer, but trust me it's better for the other survivors as that bot will 100% play better against the Doctor than me.
(Pretty much every website deals with "Children with Autism" but it doesn't just magically go away when you turn 18, you're just better knowledgable in how to deal with it yourself…. the best way being removing yourself from the situation ASAP.)Sensory overload, a feature of autism, occurs when one or more senses are overstimulated. Nightlight's website, you upload the final scoreboard and it mostly detects the results of the match, then asks you for any clarifications or corrections it needs. So as long as you consistently upload your matches.
Here is my stats, note that I am a Pig main, so I am not that good with other killers, but I tend to upload all my matches. If I only uploaded my Pig matches my Kill Rate would be higher. -

If you watch the livestream where the skins are mentioned or the concept art post they do actually say they completely rebuilt Huntress’s model from the ground up to make her more muscular and wanted to use that in the future. Which they didn’t do for Spirit. So they definitely decided not to give her a bigger chest. Her old cosmetics use her old model and every new cosmetic uses the new model. The weird black bra is definitely censoring and completely out of place. If anyone is going without a bra, it would be her.
Ah, you could be right. I'm ace so I guess it never really was something I paid attention to.

Getting free stuff for what you don't play right now but may in the future is not a bad thing. You absolutely can play nothing but survivor and get everything in the Rift, and vice versa, so I really don't understand what the problem is.
If you had to play Killer matches to earn to get the survivor stuff (like some past event tomes, something they finally have done away with) then I would understand, but they don't do that (anymore.)

yes, i would have much more appreciate if nicolas cage was actually playing role of new survivor character, not as "nicolas cage". It even worse that having him cast for actual dead by daylight movie (in lore) as blight. Because now all of entitys realm is made "fictional" in the fictional game itself.
Same reason i dont like deadpool. Breaking 4th wall is very cool if subtle, but when it becomes mutch it kinda takes away immersion.I mean, you are entitled to your opinion, but its' already been established before Nicolas Cage that all fiction exists as real somewhere in the world of Dead by Daylight. Feng Min has a "cosplay" outfit for Jill Valentine and another one for Cheryl Mason, showing that until she met her in the Entity's realm, Feng thought Jill was just a fictional character and so was Cheryl. Plus, even if that wasn't the case, the point of the lore is that The Black Veil manipulated things to take Nicolas Cage into The Fog. So one of them probably wrote the script, etc. So that doesn't make the game fictional, just that The Black Veil exists and were making a movie (but probably just to help the Entity kidnap people, as that's what they do.)
