  • If someone who get chased a lot and I remember him rats out someone who I didnt see all game on last two then they get a hatch

They usually do this, the killer will be op until the next bug fix, then he gets nerfed (sometimes beyond use, vecna for example) I don't care for it unless there's still more after the next bug fix

Vecna isnt best exsample more correct is chucky strong in top 5 killers when released and fun to play as, got few skins and after few moths just nerfs to curent chucky true representation of money grab but vecna isnt far from it too so many unnecessary nerfs when killer like dracula exists.

  • I get that hate against ghoul he is strong, I will even get the hate for skullmerchan she caused so much ptsd and effected so many innocent lives, but so much hate for mediocre killer wjo is combination of few killers(huntress, xeno, unknow as his idea) is too much. I bet most springtrap haters are blight worshipers wo prax to mommy nurse, h is just mediocre killer who throws axe every 7 seconds when he doest have axe on himself he is just m1 with base speed, huntress speed whe he has axe on himself, undetecteble is 15 seconds, 24 meters terror radius. He has louder footsteps than knight and nemesis and doors have bizial indicator he is coming plus sound que someone came from them that can be heard like 10 meters even when you are behind wall, you can use doors to travel across the map. Looping him is mix of huntress and m1 killer just be aware, his best addons got nerfs so they arent oppresive as before. This coment will get destroyed by s-tier killer enjoyers.

I mean what’s the point. Half the spring traps I get will either hide in the door right by the hook so they can jump out immediately once they are unhooked or they hear footsteps.
Or have an almost 99% chance to be able to proxy camp the hook even if he’s chasing someone across the map.

If he hides in doors near hook then anticamp kicks in, different story is if he used doors to get across the map and camp there to get back to hook but if he does then teosurvivors will know they cant heal under hook because he comes back.

It's a piece of the puzzle context wise we need I feel, even if it's high it still tells part of the truth behind the state of the killer. It shouldn't be the sole reason a killer is nerfed/buffed, but it's definately a part of it.

This is off topic, when they were in PTB I was actually excited to face Ghoul, but I feel the changes made coming out of PTB made them unbareable. Blight also I feel giving him the pallet break was a huge mistake too baseline, part of the reason he is really strong.

In the same sense I feel like having escape rates for perks/items would help the community understand part of the context which is strong and what isn't.

Blights kit is very rich he can travel across map the way player wants ( not to one spot generated by spawn rng like xeno, dreagde, sadako), he can injure you with his power and make insane flicks with high dpi (only one who bests in this is oni with how his flicks became easy, billys flicks are still more limited), he can break palett with normak break action and be right behind you ( he is always right behind you even when he misses other killers can this too but they have mire restrictions ghoul is closets to his catch up ,larry can be hard to get rid of you would need strong swf with emp or map like larrys for him to loose libe of sight, dracula can be mindgamed because he can hear you so clean as spirit bat noice, billy is more limited with maps because of his turn rate now vecna has better catch up, wraith just weaker than draculas but same speed, many killers but no enof them have ability to see you clear and 10 seconds to recharge your power fully, two seconds per token and being 115 speed blights agressive playstyle dobt give you much space and time against him and only safe plays are things like his skill mening if he misses a lot, map but few one is larrys but he can still get you if he is like few meters behind you, paletts vut he breaks them sane as bubba but you can abuse windows like against bubba and remember how long he had his old addons like compound 33 or alchemy ring even now his addons are strong as hell, his hug tech was easyest hugtech more easy to pull of than pinp pong play with his rushes like he must play now and he needed only two tokens to create some 50/50 on loops with hugtech meanibg in like 5 seconds he could be right behind you with rushes when he missed and you tried to run away), if you looked at hens video about how ghoul is strong with players like momo or knightlight only one whe destroyed survivors as nothing was blight, ghoul is easier to play as blight had higher skill cap and skill ceiling but top ghoul vs top blight theres huge gab).

I feel like, if this is really high it could tell two stories:

-His time to kill is way too quick
-People just don't want to play against him

Either way it just tells it's a miserable experience.

As from skullmerchant nerfs, killrates doesnt mean anything, we can count them only from point when survivors cant kill themselfs on hook so from fnaf chapter. Tbh I think they will be near top mmr blight, still before his nerfs he shoul recieve big bugfix that would work now he is bugged trought roof I made few posts about this and reported some bugs, some of them make him less opresdive and just gave him enrage when he should get enrage with hit on survor and others make him use his power straiht judt as the one when he is enraged he looses one token intead two which makes his cooldown from kike 5 seconds only half of this time.

If they're better than you they'll achieve better results. Not every strong killer needs to have a massively complicated/mechanically complex power. People should be able to pickup and do well with a killer without needing to memorize a 300 page guide and drop hundreds of hours into that killer. I'm not saying there should be Nurse level of power on a killer with Wraith difficulty. There's a happy medium to be had.

True oni is just hard because he has to work gor hus power now his demon dash is easier than before with flicking and fact you have less time to practise with your power compared to kilkers like blight, ghoul, billy which have their power more offten than oni through match and have less penalty when missplaying with their power (onis power is one of strongest in the game it can break paletts, instadown, longer attack range, chance fot multiple hits and insane speed and mobility with control, ghoul lacks ability to down you with his power and blight+ billy both lack control and ability to pick their power too fast and more easily as onis).

If you give this post more downs I wont be upset, you will just proove my point people hate everything wheres mentioned ghoul/kaneki because of curent wide spread phobia without cure or any treatment.

In this specific instance, I agree that Pyramid Head getting such great buffs while Clown/Knight have gotten really bad changes sucks. Knight's Standard changes should either be reverted or completely rethought (IMO they should make 10s the new default standard spawn time for Jailer & Carnifex with Assassin keeping a 5s spawn) and Clown's changes should probably be brought back to the drawing board.

But, I disagree with the idea low/mid Killers should only be buffed and not recieve a buff/nerf bundle, for two reasons:

    • Not every Killer patch needs to go in with the goal of moving a Killer up/down the tier list. Pyramid Head's seemingly well recieved rework is proof of that, because frankly it's just a fun patch. PH players who zone and tunnel are annoying to play against, so that playstyle is now worse. His addons used to suck, now they are much better. Pyramid Head didn't need a strength buff, but he did need fun, so he got it, I think that's a good thing.
    • These specific nerfs made Knight and Clown both less fun to play, and that's the real issue. Knight's Standard changes are a travesty that disincentivise his interesting macro gameplay for dull zoning again. Clown's bottle changes mean instead of only using purple bottles being the low effort strategy, throwing a yellow bottle at the ground then M1ing like you ordered Wraith from Temu is the new low effort strategy, which is even less fun for both sides. There'd be little complaint if the compensation nerfs were slightly longer cooldowns or reloads, the issue is that the nerfs have damaged both of these Killers' playstyles and fun factor.

If Clown's yellow bottles were overbuffed to the point where he was super strong, this would have still been an awful patch for Clown. If Knight's #########-a-guard strategy was made so strong he's S-tier, this would have still been an awful patch for Knight. Mid/low tiers existing is fine, Killers getting their playstyles butchered is not

I dont think these changes will make them bad to play as (knight and clown) but same for survivors to bad go against them now clow was more skill expresive but if this goes live only chsnge will be modt player will just use yellow bottles instead purple ones, for knight he is harraser mote than pincer god he was before just spawning guard instantly on loop and had no guard chase time penalty when he is too close to him before his rework but now guard wont take survivor that much of time as before meaning more knights will try to pincer with him again more than now instead getting two survivors in chase which sucks for both killer and survivor.

dbd players are too conservative, yeah. if they are used to killer being terrible, they would never accept the killer is not anymore and naturally that people who got good at bad version, will transition all their skills to the better one.

True look at skull merchant whenever she is mentioned it doesnt matter what the news are good rework, nerfs, buffs outcome is just backlash and hate same goes for killers like ghoul, legion it doesnt matter all thats need for that hate is to mention them.

Respectfully if I may, one of my biggest feedbacks I would give to behavior is that often times while I feel like they have good intentions, they make unnecessary changes to killers.

Skull merchant getting whipped around like she has.

    Sadako getting some weird changes.

Freddy while getting a rework it was a bit of an odd one but it works.

Houndmaster got changed to where her dog doesn’t pull survivors to her but to a point they got grabbed?

Trickster got a strange rework while at least we made efforts time and resources could have been saved…He should have had a design preview done.

Any existing killer that we have if reworked should go through a design preview before hitting ptb so the community as a chance to give feedback to the team. This will save everyone time and energy.

The goal should be making it fun for both sides, WHILE achieving efficiency as well as keeping it in line with their lore/elements. If you strip that, people will lose interest in the characters quickly.

I believe its because they dont want to the killer give straight buff some players most survivors woul cream game is kollersided and they are buffing only killers thats what happens every time look at curent ptb pyramidhead speed while holding your power I get it they dont want him to be zone god and he is strong killer but 10 seconds instead five is too much in my opinion and knight, clown are weak and need straight buffs (c-tier killers who are unenjoyable by most survivor comunity to go against meaning most survivor would just choose to go against blights all day instead these two) same as xeno changes, etc. They just fear the backlash from survivors comunity even they know if they have to give survivors something basekit like unbreakable they need to make the gab between killers small as possible to make changes like that.

  • @TimberGoingDown said:

Agreed. What they've done to the Skull Merchant is extremely anti-consumer. People paid good money for her and her skins. Essentially deleting her from the game for years is not ok.

She is the hardest nerfed killer but she isnt alone something simular was done to some other killers like billy when bubba got his charges as rework then devs gave billy overheat update even he was very liked by comunity to go against as bubba back then. Chucky nerfed from top 5 killers in the game to bottom of c-tier even blight could do much more and same with his rushes being 115% speed and having 10 seconds to recharge all of his rushes with strong addons. Pig first to be victim of dev nerfs trought years looks like devs dislike pigs. Ghoul got hard nerfs too only difference is he was almost same power level as released blight so it didnt hurt him that much.

  • @MDRSan said:

The thing that I feel is annoying in Ghoul matches is that by the time you finish the thought ‘I can start this Gen, the killer isn’t on top of me’ he will have traversed the map and you are now in chase. That and him being able to get that free wound literally through walls is kind of ridiculous. It’s frustrating because he feels fun to play and I’d like to play him more but I also don’t want to make the other side miserable. I already stand around sometimes on other killers to gift a little breathing room to the other side, I can’t imagine how much I’d have to do that on him.

They need to stop introducing high mobility killers while shrinking map sizes.

I know its annoing to have killer on top of you after he hooked someone across the map but this can pull multiple killers not just ghoul( he is very close or the same mibility as blight), him hitting throught walls is just bugs ( he can hit you if you are close to some low object and close to it like window vault but range is like 2 meters), problem is in curent state of the game killers without mobility are just worst or they need strong, very strong antiloop ( some killers have solid antiloop like clown but they are slow). Worst thing is devs balancing killers look at last ptb changes what are they cooking for weaker killers like clown and knight they are annoying to go against for many but they suck and are very weak with no mibility, and for stronger killers they buff them ( pyramidhead changes arent bad but that 10 seconds of him holding power and moving is stupid change they shoul buff it max to 7 but again I dont see reason for this to be buffed range yes thats good, trails ok, cage basekit bt ok if they dont trigger perks for hooks like ds,otr,or deliverence then its still good, decreesed movement speed a little bit for him to not to be just zoner thats ok but the speed cant be slower than survivor base speed because his punishment is quite easy to doge), biggest suprice for me the devs stoped to bully pig with nerfs but looks like knight abd clown are her new succesors.

i mean they did fix a lot of bugs, but bug that literally interfer with gameplay like the finess bug or the fact sadako is legally blind and now the tvs are confusing to teleport to, twins bumping off survivors, this bug and probably some more i don't know about it, yea no, im pretty sure they ain't fixed in the ptb either

    its kinda of depressing

Thanks I got this so many times I started to think if i missed some new changes for him, I know about other bugs the one when holding backwards when leaping cancels leap or the one where you supposed loose 2 tokens of leap when breaking palett enraged but you loose only one (these bugs just kinda revert ghoul what his nerfs were for making his zonig and catch up with power after breaking palett stronger and nerfing skill expression when you hit survivor with flick while peaping around some object or loop).

  • @ChuckingWong said:

10 seconds in and he says significantly harder for killer.

Yea well maybe winning 90% of your games 6+ hours a day, 5-6 days a week, on stream, is something you should realize when listening to players like this.

0 seconds is whole blight rushes basekit and going brrrr across the map or its like few meters for trapper, ghostface so 10 seconds is 1/10 of gen.

  • @TimberGoingDown said:

I think the gen speeds are more of an issue than medkits.

Both of them combined is crazy, if survivors vanted to rush then they satyed injure or loose some time healing now they heal much faster and dont nned each other that much which crates more preasure on killer with more time for survivors on gens, nasty times.

I feel that people who compare him to Legion just see the Deep Wound and dont really understand the game at all. Comparing him to Legion is criminal.

Thats like saying that a Cat is similar to a blue whale because both are mammals.

That cat and whale comparison is bit overrated, it would be real if we compared nurse, blight to trapper, skullmerchant but for ghoul and m1 is cat and cougar better, only thing he does better is one of the best mobilities on comand with fast first hit into deep wound like for 14 meters (his leap range) and some antiloop with faster vault.

Really not gonna acknowledge the incredibly generous hitscan attack that holds survivors in place?

Not gonna acknowledge how this hitscan attack can immediately be used on people off hooks to disable most of their anti-tunnel perks while also buffing Ghoul's power by giving him his enrage tokens?

Or the fact that cancelling power mid leap let's Ghoul almost immediately M1 after closing in.

Or the whole vaulting over pallets which also applies 50% hindered for some reason, or the overtuned built in bamboozle addon

Or the fact his mobility is on par with Nurse/Blight's and isn't balanced the same way as the other dash/teleport Killers are

"Slightly better chase than m1 killers" Yeah right. Understatement of the century there.

His hitscan is bugged now something you should hit doesnt conect and then you hit someone with 80% of their character behind wall.

Kidnap tech you mean the slow then he leaps on you enraged and vaults but you are stuck its bugg that was fixed but appears again because something went wrong with spaghetti code.

His mobility is now same as blight nurse can travel max 32 meters I think but she is just slower, she is better for getting hits ignoring whole looping idead creating her own game.

    my bad

i can get behind complaining about scamper, but from what im seeing, people are malding about the actual power, rather than this part of it and at that point it's a skill issue

Old chuckys scamper was way better than glous enraged vault, you could flick 180 or you had super free mobility and control of slice and dice, you had vault under palett old chucky was beast in getting hits.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

I absolutely will not stand for this claim!

Twins is by far the worst designed killer, that encourages the most miserable and unfun game play of slug, camp slug, slug and camp slug then repeat.

But Kaneki is pretty awful and unfun for sure, I do not enjoy them in the slightest and can honestly say I have never had a fun Kaneki match

Twins are all about slugging, blight is just harder ghoul on steroids he can do all things ghoul can with more skill but when theres that skill you will be downed non the less plus his ability to just break palett and then use rushes to get you down, on longer loops like shack you cant even run back side because he will rush you down there and smack you, his hitbox is just giant ball in beginning and it gets smaller then (shoulderflicking just hitting survivor almost behind blight and its not that hard). So god forbid to ghoul even exist just worship blight.

Ghoul when not enraged his cooldown is 8 seconds with 2 leaps (first cant injure and can slide second injures and cant slide, when breaking palett you loose one token), when enraged his cooldown is 6 seconds I believe (first leap doesnt injure, both first and second leap slides for ore distance and catch up, three leaps, both second and third leap injure, faster vault speed, when breaking palett he looses 2 tokens but now its bugged and he looses only one because fnaf chapter bring many bugs).

Remember how much chucky was nerfed before his last buff (nerf revert), well here goes blight 10 seconds cooldown (2 seconds for rush basekit), first rush cant break or injure secaond and others can, he can do more that chucky and same with just 2- rushes and he is even faster both base movement speed and rush speed. He doesnt looses tokens when he breaks palett . Its much easier to loop ghoul than blight, ghoul cant down you with power blight can and he can destroy things much better moe oppressive killer.

Understandable but annoying. Play a different killer if you can't hit a shot. The game designers should not actively incentivize zoning playstyles as heavily as they do with all the ranged attack killers in the game. Actual skill and good aim should be the hallmark of these ranged killers.

Just hitting shot isnt that easy with thing like orbital or super long shot with gues the survivor will be there, shots like these will miss most times they are just something more you can do with the killer like sky billy aspect (untill it was destroyed). If you played theese killers with only going for crazy shots you would loose 99% of times before some tens or hundreds hours you tried you would get better but still if you look on coconut with his orbitals when he tries then normaly in game he misses the most and he is surprised he hits some, these hits are rare and inconsistent so you cant rely on them to get even single hook thats it. Good aim is rewarded ofcourse, I believe you know the difference between normal huntress and huntress that snipes you across the map or is hitting you 20 meters away.

  • @ralecgos said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3963295#Comment_3963295

I've played the killer. I know how he works. My problem with him is that most people don't go for skill shots and if they do, it's too hard to tell where he is aiming it. Most Springtrap players get close to your butt and axe you, then you have nearly zero distance because of his speed boost, and he just grabs the axe and downs you instantly.

But I know what bothers you with him zoning but look at it going for crazy shots if fun but ir rarely works just like crazy shots with huntress or orbitals with her. He has same problems where people play him simple way just hold axe zone or zone recall the axe and get vault hit etc., simular problem is with huntress and she is even better proxycamper than him and very good zoner too. Getting that crazy shots when you throw axe across the sshack and hit the survivor on opposite side is super rare inconsistent and hard to pull of thats why many players choose the easier and more reiable way to play thoose killers (mainly speeking about springtrap and huntress), on top of that he isnt that super strong just mediocre killer which makes plays like this even less common. Same goes for billy(going for saw on every loop), pyramidhead(going for flicks on every loop), etc.

  • @ralecgos said:

They need to fix the bug where it looks like he’s looking sideways when he’s aiming/throwing the axe.

They also need to add a sound cue when he actually throws it like Huntress. He laughs when he raises his arm or whatever, but we need something ANY SMALL SOUND to know when he actually threw it.

He is able to just zone you as you run in circles trying to dodge the axe, because the visual big and lack of sound cue makes it completely random chance for the survivor at dodging it. You have to simply hope they have bad aim rather than being good at juking. Feels really cheap.

Then after the cheap hit, you have no distance unless you’re at a loop which doesn’t always happen. Which means he instantly grabs the axe and carries you to hook in a split second after he just zoned away all your distance.

The mega zoning and randomness of the axe feels cheap to play against.

He has sound when he pulls his axe ready to throw it, difference with him is he is still supossed to be little stealthy with ranged attack so you need to pay attention.

He is quite hqrder than huntress you got only one shot and further the target is the harder it gets, longer you hold your axe more of orbital you get.

  • Problem is purple dont buff survivors as yellow does so even when your counting can be right its still worse than before, yellow smoke is now bigger and triggers faster which means if clown missplays a little then survivor gets the haste too and dont forget survivors hitbox is smaller so even you are both 12% faster they are still faster running around loops because of their hitbox. This change will force most people who used just the purple ones now just use yellow ones.

Great, well then why do we have Ghoul that is easy to play yes dominates most matches, Blight is harder to play but nothing crazy difficult same goes for Nurse, once you play few matches with them you can do pretty much fine.

True than we have billy haedest from strongest killers (harder than blight for sure), dracula hard but strong overall, singularity is just work with cameras and you never loose survivor when he is marked (maybe on indoors like larrys),twins just master of slug (maybe they will fall of when phase 2 hits) and then we have killers like skullmerchant no need to play her same goes for trapper (biggest trap in dbd, I was his main but he is so weak even when you do something well you will still get punished more than survivor who made mistake), ghostface fun but weak same goes to mayers.

This is true, the locker does vibrate when Dredge teleports to it. Some Dredges use the addon Levalier's Microphone to eliminate this by making all the lockers do it, so you can't tell where they are. Fun addon!

Still unsure why OP is so adamant that they have to be correct, people can have different experiences with the game you know…

Still very little use from that addon if the addon made all noices go away when dreadge teleports into locker(not when he exits) then it would be much better, problem is lockers offten spawn together making this addon with small chance it will do something, maybe in indoor maps when there are more lockers and walls to cover line of sight then it can be interesting addon.

  • Every one can have their opinion on something but some are just crazy like guy claiming to my coment on clown chenges in ptb that clown and wraith are in curent version stronger than spirit, he is just typical dreadge main (same ss pig mains) they see him more than he is which is ok but they get supper offended when peoplem claim he isnt.

  • @jmwjmw27 said:

Every teleporting killer has some form of cooldown. The ones with no cooldown require them to move to an object to start teleporting. If Dredge had no cooldown you could be by someone as soon as their loading animation stops (camera spin), if they loaded in slower. Additionally, if he had no cooldown then survivors wouldn't be able to lock lockers for the first few seconds after spawning, which I think they should have that safe window to do so at the start.

If you want a dredge buff, more consistent lockers and slightly upping his antiloop is the way to do it.

The last two sentences we can agree on.

  • @squbax said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3961112#Comment_3961112

It does actually, when dredge is teleporting to a locker the handles of the locker vibrate. So you can literally prerun as soon as he choses that locker to tp to.

Many people dobt know that or they dobt believe that but he makes sound when he teleports to locker that is quite loud and even louder is him exiting the locker or breaking the lock, if he stays few seconds in locker theres vizual indication like the black smoke that is coming from his remenant so no big surpruses with stealth from lockers.

  • @LockerLurk said:

I'm sorry but I am not having an argument with someone who thinks 113% speed is better than instant teleport to any locker.

Have a wonderful evening, friend. :)

You are stuck in 2017 wraith is basekit 150% speed when cloaked (same as dracula bat form) this can be boosted to almost 160% speed if we dont count speed from perks and his breaking and vaulting or faster uncloak addons are his best. If you think wraith catch up from loop is weak and slow only difference between him and draculas bat form is that dracula can go over vault locations and teleport to them like 32 meters away, dreadge can do it faster if theres locker near the survivor and survivor can still see him or hear him and react to him by runing to other direction so again theres rng aspect that isnt that consistent so wraith is overall better to catching up to survivor ( with addons but with basekit still he is better in more situations than dreadge, dreadge is better to travel across the map). I hope you had wonderfull day and I dont know why you are so offended with fact that wraith wit his best loadout is stronger than dreadge (all of this what makes jim better I mentioned post above), you are just behaving as typical dreadge main (same as hard pig main saying he is way better than people think), just look at most ghoustface main they will say you he is weak d-tier but still he can do fine and is fun.

Was talking in terms of what's live now, not the PTB. It's to players that only use the purple bottles.

Now they can only use yellow because thers no need to use purple, lok at freddy he gets 12% hinder for 4 seconds on sleeping survivors and has 5 seconds cooldown or 6 idk now, on top of that he gets every 30 seconds teleport to healing surv while sleeping or gens(gates if he has addon) and some stealth when survivors are asleep plus dream paletts. All Im saing is not nerf freddy but there no reason to play clown if this goes live just like skullmerchant or trapper (this comes from old trapper main ).

  • So now on ptb purple is only 12% hinder and when you leave smoke it last only 1 second instead 2 which is huge (hider aadon is 2% not 4% so now maximum you can get is 14% hinder with his kit). Yellow is faster only second to start, 12% haste instead 10% and smoke pool is larger but still it buffs survivors and if both clown and survivor have haste 12% then its bigger buff for survivor why? Survivors have smaller hitbox so they can hug loops easier and better than killers making them faster on loops. If this goes live clown is top 4 worst killers he si weak now and this makes him even worse.

No, Wraith is a low B. Dredge has better mobility than Wraith and better stealth than Wraith, though it's more limited. Dredge is better than Wraith at everything except bodyblocking.

See, this is the problem with letting the community's tierlists do the thinking for you. Otz says Dredge is a C tier, so everyone believes it. Then when you play the Killer you realize the Killer is more mid than a C.

It's also the issue with letting your bias get the better of you. I'm trash at Wesker, does that mean Wesker is suddenly a C tier?

Sorry but wraith is easier than dreadge has better chase and antiloop (with addons ofcourse), can bodyblock to secure a hit, worse mobility to travel across the map but overall better and he isnt effected by map locker spawn rng like coldwind or shelterwoods. His stealth is more better than dreadge in basekit dreadge is stronger than wraith little bit but if we consider perks, addons, how hard is the killer and his power to get some value, map dependence than wraith is stronger than dreadge saddly its truth.

Last thing is its hard to tier killers because different people has different understandings and skill with each individual killers (some like coconut say huntress is stronger than someone who isnt maining her or he playes on higher dpi so for hims are better killers with flicks like blight, oni). Wesker is good killer but like dreadge you must consider times where dreadge was b-tier and wesker hight a-tier all over now new killers came to settle down in tierlist and last killers like dracula, ghoul are realy powerfull, so dreadge is put down by more stronger killers being added, same goes to wesker and plus his kit being nerfed (last was buff recharge for one charge is 5,5 seconds instead of 6 but fully infection is -4% hinder instead of -8% and ifecting rate is slower this makes him weaker in longer chases and slowdow for survivors with giving less priority to get rid of infection asap).

My point is I think that it's unhealthy for Killers to be able to instantly rush to Survivors that way at all, never mind who can and cannot do it.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3962679#Comment_3962679

Did I say Dredge was A tier? A tier does not mean good. A tier means very powerful.

Dredge is mid tier, right around a B. They aren't strong, but not weak either. That's the definition of B tier. Dredge is B tier when played well, and I will be the first to admit it. It's delusional to label Dredge as anything else unless you're really that bad at Dredge.

You seem really argumentative, is something the matter?

He is Lowe b-tier if we will measure his overall power and abilities but his kit still has huge gab between to be effective against good teams (dont think I super bad with him, when ther werent many killers some evenings I was getting few evening teams with two players around 4-8K and other two around 2k and still I won overall 2-3k with lot hooks but I seen what players like this can do against him some matches no mather i tried I was getting my first hook around 2 gens left and lockers werent near gens so survivors know where to prerun), I mostly agree with someone like Otz he isnt that opressive and you must try much harder to get what some other get way easier or do better, with second phase he will be in category who will struggle whay more that the better one if they dont add more lockers around map and mostly around gens to get faster to gens and protect them then he will be much worse he is now.

I see what you’re saying, but I don’t think this is a fair comparison.

With Trapper, avoiding traps takes time, awareness, and caution. Survivors have to slow down, carefully look for traps, and there’s always a risk if they miss one. It’s an intentional part of the gameplay, and it slows down their actions.

With this Hag issue, survivors don’t have to slow down, check for traps, or take any real risk. They can trigger and remove traps at full sprint speed while facing away, with no way for the Hag to punish them, even if she teleports immediately. It requires almost no mechanical skill or decision-making once they know the trick, and it essentially disables her power.

The key difference is that Trapper’s counterplay has meaningful risk and impact on survivor efficiency, this does not. That’s why it feels like an exploit, not balanced gameplay.

Trappers traps are still biggest trap in this game the gamble you have with them they feel like playing russian rulette with 3 bullets in the chamber and even the good placed ones arent guarantee to work. Hag on other hand if team is aware where are her traps can trigger them when she is tunneling or she is carrying survivor to hook and she will lose lot of time too but thats still much faster to place them back than trapper and lot easier.

Dredge is fine, and since map offerings are gone the only two Issues Dredge has is some maps being weak for it, and some maps needing more lockers. He certainly doesn't need a buff that makes it so he can instantly teleport to a Survivor with Lethal from the word go, I would know, I'm a Dredge Main. Have been since he came to the Fog.

This Killer is not weak. This Killer isn't Bottom 15 either, not even close, and I am baffled that so many creators insist that Dredge is bad now. This Killer is mid - they're still a pretty solid B tier in the right hands with the only counters being looping and the occasional bad map, like pretty much any other M1 Killer. If the Dredge is good with remnants and TPs, they can be a monster - I've won games on even the most difficult maps for Dredge, so even a bad map isn't a death sentence, especially with the right build.

Strength Tierlists are poisonous and have done so much damage to the DBD community because people always take them much too seriously. Newer Killers existing does not actually outmode older Killers, no matter what creators and players think. There is no real such thing as Powercreep in DBD unless you believe you should be winning more than 60% of your games. Every Killer hits around the 60% rank give or take 5%, at every single MMR level, so that should put the nail in the coffin of this "powercreep" idea - a term that was taken from fighting games, which DBD is not - for good.

Only one I see claimund dredge is a-tier or way stronger than people think are dreadge mains. He isnt that good only thing thats solid on him is mobility thats bind to rng factor of map locker spawn (map dependency) and his antiloop easy to counter if your remenant isnt hidden or loop where you using it isnt some medicore or unsafeone, endge of the map then shift+w is brain dead combo that works every time and unlike blight or ghoul you cant catch up that fast if there isnt locker. His nightfall is good to get hit and run and spread map preasure or get faster downs but it depends how your game goes (how many injures you get and hooks, addons and map too indoor is way better than outdoor for getting on survivors easier and for survivors to navigate in the dark). Solid killer but for him to be that good he would need that instant chase or more lockers around gens (like killers that need to reload from lockers huntress, trickster), I think curent freddy is above dreadge why? better teleport (guarantee to get to gens or gates with addon only down is 30 seconds cooldown), his antiloop is much bigger 12% slowdown for 4 seconds with 5 seconds cooldown and ability for zoning and getting some hits even with fake paletts (on map like rpd where most runed loops are with only two palett spawn variations so you always can get zone or hit with dream palett on this kind of loops and dreadge can do is just try to zone and create 50/50 situatuin with higher skill cap and chance to fail if survivor playes that right). Dreadge is interesting killer but I dont see him further that top 20 killers from the bottom maybe even that top 15 he just has good kit as idea but weak antiloop with easy counter, good teleport hindered by map rng and ability(nightfall) that isnt consistent, with all of this he isnt that strong and he is good noobstumper but against some 3k survivor mains with good experience and looping skill he will struggle a lot.

Frankly, I don't think those Killers should be able to "be there that fast" either. Period.

The cant do it consistently but they can and even some like billy, blight can get the down way faster than dredge thats fact.

  • @Marzipan210 said:

Once he gets that initial hit he is essentially an m1 killer with high mobility and you can loop him like one. Think of him like a Legion that you can't hold W against. Checkspot windows and pallets before running in front of them to prevent giving him an enraged vault.

I would think of him more than blight even his leaps cant down you his mobility is very clouse to blights (still more poeple have fun against blight than ghoul which is more busted killer in general and he can do much more than ghoul).

I would solve it by giving Hag a sizable boost to her movement speed for a few seconds after she teleports to a triggered trap.

This way, you can get a hit sooner, punishing this way of counterplay.

I would too considering her traps are her only power, withoput them she is just 110% speed killer which its terrible for chase but for some reason devs think she can have guarantee hit after fast teleport so they still keep her slowdown after teleporting.

  • How every killer by looping him, now its trickier he is currently buuged as hell, after breaking palett he loses 1 token instead of two, hitting hits while flicking with leap cancels hit, for some reason I got kidnaped teched as survivor against him etc. after fnaf chapter he is mess, some bugs can help you and others can end you faster. I would say looping his is the same as blight just dont run into nowhere and on longer loops like shack be avare what he is doing he can cut you off, this has counter bigger than blight because ghoul cant down you with power only deep wound you and get enraged for one more leap and faster vault speed when leaping but he still is closer to m1 than blight so looping him is easier in my opinion. Lots of your options are predicted by map and spawning loop tiles rng( today I got coldwind and only one jungle gym, normaly as killer Im getting there atleast two but this map was weak as hell thank god for event power and him not respecting paletts). If he tries to cut you off with power be aware whats around you and where he will end with leap cancel so you can change direction to safer place and he cant hit you fast and must loop you, his vault when enraged is tricky if you get kidnap teched (it should have been fixed but I got it, you are locked in place like he would get grab but instead he is just vaulting window fast this leads to no counter normaly if you vault shack from inside and he vaults behind you if you hug the sack you can make it back to window (cu de gra or what my french is it called can get you), another thing is if he didnt hit you with leap and you arent in deep wound and you are injure you can deny him vault if he aims to you with second leap just after vault get to vivdow edge he will hit you into deep wound and be stuck behind window/palett (this doesnt work if he uses first leap on you to just pull to you, first leap cant injure you and dont do it if you run dead hard or otr you will loose it/wont be able to save you). He is just as m1 with good mobility and ability to injure you fast, indoor maps are your friend he cant change direction that much and blocking line of sight isnt bad idea too just take in ming he is still faster than nurse, huntress when you do this to him just play against him as against blight(withou needing to fear about droping palets he cant destroy them when he vaults them, theres one addon but it must be his last leap and that addon is rare to see), he is just blight with more space to counter (he cant down you with his power only get closer to you and end his power to get a hit).

  • This crap is happening so much, or the the leap cancel when holding s to go backwards, or loosing 1 token after breaking the palett istead of two.

Idk why she didn't look at the trap (guess the time you're forced to look at it is shorter than it feels, and she instantly turned around again?), but triggering traps without being in range for a hit is pretty easy in general if you know of the existance of them. You just have to run a pixel into range to trigger it and instantly run away from it, hag will simply swing into nothing then - I'm no hag main and I don't really play her, but I believe you can't do much except ignoring the trigger or teleport to it and replace it.

True there counter to hag when you trigger trap but get that pixel away so it doesnt matter if she instantly teleports back survivor will be already out of range, this isnt that easy because not everyone who plays survivor everyday is able to get hag in one week she is in top 3 least played characters with artist and twins.

  • From what I have met medkits are strong again and healing under hooks can be done like4-6 seconds after unhook which is crazy plus orelas perk can be strong with other healing perks later on.

  • Americans are great until you find oil on your property.

Maybe try posting footage or an image of when this happens? More information helps to fix bugs and stuff.

Happens every game and its supper frustrating you dont get hits that are 100% clean and survivors get hit trough wall for no reason annoying just like his leap canceling when you hold s to go backwards when leaping.

I DONT hate him. I play him quite abit, enough to know what buffs would be busted. Im not gonna go with the typical "killer main" mentality and grab for any buff that I can get my hands on.

Then I dont get why you dont feel he needs more lockers in key positions like around gens, maps like shelterwoods (skullmerchant one) and coldwin (the one where strongest structure is shack in the middle) are quite exsample how some maps have bad rng in lockers and then maps like midwithch where is locker on every 10 meters exist. I think this change doesnt only needs dredge (more lockers on map) but huntress and trickster too and if you think it would be busted for dreadge he is weaker killer, and huntress/trickster reload time isnt smal plus they are slow with no mobility like spirit.

Just because you can't get 4Ks all the time doesn't mean the Killer is weak or needs a buff. He's one of the least fun and one of the hardest Killers to face as Survivor. That's not a weak Killer, no matter how you want to slice it.

I played him all night and 4k many matches. You getting 4ks doesnt mean he is op killer, yes he is hard to face for less experienced players and you can think he is op but lets compare him to springtrap(only advantsge dredge has here is info in nightfall and the fact he can teleport to locker from anywhere),wraith( I dont think I need to write here much, wraith is easier and littlebit stronger), freddy?(freddy after his rework is solid b-tier with better mobility in my opinion because spawn locker rng doesnt mean they are near gens like coldwind and ironworks maps, plus freddy has better zoning and antiloop tools that are easier to get value from. When I bought ghostface I got 4ks without using his power even when now Im getting some crazy survs against him some even with 4-10k hours and I can still 4k no addons and meta build to have chance with d-tier killer against strong players like I mentioned. Still I respect your opinion some people claim to me that clown and wraith are stronger than spirit(I dont see that) or that trapper is s-tier against solo q( every killer with good mobility and powerfull kit can be bane for solo q lime dracula, blight, twins, ghoul solo q lacks info about killer, gen progress, players perks and activities thats why they do much worse then swf). Dredge may look op with nightfall but he falls in category of killers that are called noob stompers simply by having kit that is much harder to understand, killers like dredge, pinhead, sadako, freddy, doctor and I dont see many powerfull killers in this category sorry (even killers like huntress, billy, blight are much stronger than dredge but their powers are easy to understand what are they do,they are simple).
