  • Ran into a Nea player doing similar. They were speed running around the map, flying, teleporting to players. They would periodically go out of bounds and heal nothing, then watch health states of other survivors pop up. Then they would get near the killer and they would insta be stunned and drop people they were carrying.

  • The argument of 'dont feed myers' is not a good argument, it holds no weight. The game is 4 survivors vs 1 killer, the 3 killers that are not you, are not under your control. YOU may not feed Myers, but that doesnt mean one of them wont, and unlike someone AFKing, or blowing gens, you all get punished by having your game just end to instakill vs ending up in an early 3v1.

  • I love the argument that people keep proposing here

'its balanced' 'its not a problem'

What is your metric for 'a problem' because you have 2 pages here of people saying that it is a problem. Just because YOU doesn't think its a problem, doesnt mean its not.

I very much like the idea of giving it more requirements, maybe make someone the obsession, and letting you insta mori them after first hook, or something like that. But EVERY SURVIVOR IN THE MATCH?! Especially for free.

Also to the 'but its a rare addon' if you main Myers, thats who you put your BP into, then your going to have all of the addons you want. My killer main is Pig, I love the 'you can see survivors through walls when stealthing' addon, its very rare, I have a bunch of them because thats who all my killer BP goes into.

ALSO rarity doesn't matter when you have a large pool of people playing the game, it may be rare for one player to have a ton, but its not rare for alot of players to have one or two. Every day I have played over the last week has had atleast one match w/ the insta kill myers.

It's so weird how he was convicted before the movies even came out and people still supported it

Its almost as if the movies came out before the internet was as it is now, and this kind of information was not widely known or spread

  • I love these people like 'lol get gud' like wow, what an argument.

Personal survival is not the issue, its not that 'I' get killed, its that he can just remove one of the 4 survivors without requiring to do any of the actual normal killer steps. Another survivor can ######### up and suddenly there he goes, killing people without even the chance to unhook. Its a bad and unbalanced addon. Exposed is fine, even the unlimited exposed is fine on myers, but being able to just ignore ALL of the game's mechanics because ONE survivor ######### up? Absoluite garage.

  • I dont blame the devs for not touching it, the creator is a convicted pedophile.

  • @SunsetSherbet said:

I think most would be fine with that if the devs seriously buffed Myers to compensate. But, they seem unwilling to do that.

I would totally be okay with myers being overhauled, I would actually love to see it. Whenever I see myers its either 'oh this will be easy' OR 'oh, its going to be permenant exposed or insta killed' either one is a boring and frustrating game.

  • Bumping this to support it as well. Nothing makes a bad game worse then wesker tauting you with voice lines that you can turn off. May as well turn on the mic so other players can taunt over mic as well.

  • @OrangeBear said:

That's just what happens when the killer character sucks. I don't often hear about Pinhead or Artist tunnelling or camping and it's because they don't need to.

Artist does camp though, she uses her crows to camp from a distance, thats the difference.

As far as wesker camping goes... its the same as any killer with a big speedy ranged attack. It promotes hanging around a hook so you can get the survivor that comes to unhook w/ your power. You see it with huntresses that get just outside of kindred range and wait w/ their axes.

  • It is an extreme nerf to a perk that wasn't getting overused.

Was it strong as is? Kinda, yeah. Did it need to have half its whole functionality stripped away? Nope!

  • No, it needs a change. A single perk should not just say 'you win the game if one person is left'

  • @Seraphor said:

We need to be careful using the term 'camping' here. (slugging too) I'll just go ahead and copy a comment I made on another topic a while back:

"The problem here is using 'camping', a broad term that encompasses many different conditions, purely to described 'getting camped on first hook at 5 gens'. That is most certainly bad sportsmanship and overly frustrating for the survivor. But using it in this way discredits all of the scenarios in which camping is a direct result of survivor behaviours. Survivors running the killer back to the hook, survivors rushing the hook while the killer is hooking, survivors looping a killer around the hook, survivors creating a 3-gen by a hooked survivor, and of course at end game, the killer having no other objectives to defend besides the hook. All of these are absolutely legitimate and fair uses of 'camping', and no measure to prevent 'getting camped on first hook at 5 gens' that inhibits any of these can work."

What you're describing is a very specific circumstance, which is a single subset of 'camping' which absolutely IS a legitimate and valid tactic.

At the same time... I know exactly what you mean. It's only been a frequent problem in the last few weeks mind you, but I or a team mate have been camped out a lot in my survivor games as of late. ore often than not though it only leads to a 2K tops.

You can't really prohibit it though, as any counter measures you add to prevent this one subset of camping will inadvertently punish killers for every other form of camping too.

So what's changed in the past few weeks?

We're talking about killer behaviour here, so the issue is players perceptions. Why do killers feel the need to camp at the start of the game? It's because they don't feel that playing another way is a viable tactic. Chases last too long, and gens still get completed.

So killers are feeling weak. That's why they camp.

You are very right about all of that.

I'm also not advocating for getting rid of camping either, if BHVR wants it, then they should keep it in.

I think they need to work on ways to mitigate the frustration that it brings. Get camped out of a game? Dont lose items, or gain a BP multiplier for each hook state where the killer is within a certain range (something that doesnt affect the game, but affects post game).

I also personally dont think that punishing these behaviors will fix anything, where I do think that rewarding OTHER behaviors will encourage people to seek alternate play styles.

  • @GoshJosh said:

Why only those specific things refunded? Seems weird.

My thought was that those are the more rare items people would have. For example, at any given time I may have 1 bloody party streamers, or 1 rainbow map, as opposed to 20/30 brown tool boxes.

  • Every second that the survivors give the killer by not doing game critical tasks (gens, cleansing hexes, etc) is activly hurting their chances of winning. The killer's biggest weapon in the game is time, the longer a game goes the better chances the killer has at winning. Survivors items run out, their perks turn off in some cases, generators revert.

If you want gens to be even slower then they are (and remember, they used to be a fair bit quicker then they are now) then there needs to be something done equally for the killer side, otherwise nerfing gens speeds is a straight up buff to every killer in the game (with the very minor exception of pig, possibly, but even then that is debatable).

  • To people defending 'just deal with blindness' you sure AF dont have vision disabilities do you?

  • I cant disagree that she needs some tweaking. I'm working on a generator in the killer shack (no basement) and both of the lockers are locked. Greg teleports to the locker nearby to me that is locked. by the time I get to the door Greg has already broken out of the locker and is ontop of me for a hit.

Also the darkness + no heart beat during a chase may as well be a free hook for the killer, its so hard to handle both navigation and trying to keep your eye on them.

  • So I was looking at Haddie stuff in the store for the first time and I noticed something.

If you look at the head cosmetics isolated from the torso and legs, they are all the same. They have different names and costs but there is zero change between them. They have different names related to the color of the pendant, but the pendant is linked to the torso, not the head...

    haddiehead.png

  • Thank you very much!

  • As a survior, unless you are in a SWF purposfully trying to hook bully, sabo is the worst thing you can perk and use items for, it is completly unviable unless you have full communication w/ your team.

  • Thank you so much for this quality reply to my shitpost.

  • @Icaurs said:

For the killers stupidly posting "but my gen speed" please read the post.

He is not criticising the strength of the perk. The issue is not that a strong slow down perk exists he is fine with that. The issue is that corupt intervention is simply an uninteresting perk. You throw it on and the game is heavily slowed for 3 minutes. The issue is not the extra time but rather that there is no input, or skill for either side. It is one of the strongest perks killer's have and its entirely passive, that's the issue. Even Hex Ruin minimum involves survivors, potentially searching do disable the perk, and killers choosing when to go to gens n order to get real value. There is a way to demonstrate a person's skill, however corupt does not allow for this as it is simply extremely strong for so little input.

The optimal way to beat corupt is for survivors to go hide and wait it out. Fun 3 minutes of sitting in lockers, what fun matches. In short yes it is a very boring perk, and the original post is completely correct.

Thank you for getting my point.

I'd happily take a corrupt that had some way to be interacted with, like the gens just dont 'unblock at a 3 min mark, but you had to activly cleanse them' or some other kind of mechanic that adds a new dimension to the game.

and Yes, I do understand that it doesnt 'make the game boring' because you can go to where the killer is, but that is not a smart play, at all, unless you specifically specialize as a survivor who loops the killer and tries to get their attention. Yeah you can totem hunt but like... this is the same forum where I see killers flipping out at survivors cleaning their hexes early... so there is no winning with that line of thoguht.

  • Killer perks that force you to change the way the game is players are perfectly fine. I dont mind totem hunting for ruin or noed, I dont mind dealing with bbq or bamboozled, they are fine because they are interactive.

Corrupt is NOT interactive, it turns off most of the gens except ones that are clearly unsafe. To go 'well just go to the unblocked ones' is bad advice because the whole point is to force the survivors to a specific area that the killer is aware of it.

Again, its not 'broken' its not 'op' it doesnt need 'nerfing' its just B O R I N G

  • I'm necroin' this.

I legit dont understand #########' people on this forum and this game. Someone from the survivor side says 'this is a boring perk and leads to slow and boring game starts' and instead of talking about, its just a parade of bullshit 'git gud' and 'survivors whining' and all that ######### toxic garbage and the same people ######### ######### and complain about to no end.

Yall are the reason that this community is so damned toxic, ######### shameful.

  • Yall are bringing a hell of a lot of weird ######### into this discussion... I'm talking about a QOL feature to get rid of a problem that sometimes occurs which the player has 0 way to avoid, and yall are bitching about MMR and BHVR not making kicking gens viable, like holy ######### yall cant stick to a topic w/o devolving into your favorite complaints.

also lol at the 'just git gud' comments

Exactly. Imagine being a Trapper or something and having 2-3 survs spawn in next to gens on the other side of Red Forest or something. You're pretty much screwed.

except not exactly, because being on a gen is actually doing something, as opposed to doing nothing, or going to the gens that you can use, which are obviously being patrolled.

    @Ghoste said:

Genrush is boring haha gib upvote plz /s

As a Corrupt user myself, I also think it's boring af. It's a necessary evil unfortunately.

This is an interesting point. For the killer using corrupt is stopping survivors from playing, but survivors that instantly do gens is... playing the game. That is their goal to do it. Thats like being mad at a killer for hitting you.

    @dugman said:

I don't use Corrupt personally but that's only because there's times the survivors will just try and hide until it's over which is kind of too slow a start for my tastes. I'd rather just let them get started so I can hear and find them more quickly and get the match properly going, even though objectively it's otherwise a good perk to run.

Maybe having them have to cleanse the gen before working on it, so that they cant just hide, but activly have to do work to get started, keeps the same benefit of time for the killer while not being a 'you cant interact' perk.

  • @Sepex said:

Since I see no changes to this coming, best bet is to get off a gen right after you hit a skill check. This guarantees you won't get an auto-fail.

but you cant always garuntee that. A killer is coming your direction, so you get off, oops a skill check just happened now it blew and the killer KNOWS you are there. Similar when a survivor comes up for healing.

  • No, dear god no. 'everyone uses it, its one of the most popular perks, so just give it to us for free'

Lemme translate that to survivor. 'everyone uses dead hard, lets just make it a base part of the survivor kit'

  • FNAF's creator donated money to anti-lgbtq hate groups, including them in this game gives them money. Wanting them included says a LOT about the person wanting it.

  • @SuzuKR said:

It's not against the rules, and reckless facecamping is easy to punish through the survivors playing smart.

This is where the bad playstyles come from, its this thought process. 'its not against the rules' but its bad sportsmanship. Its a BG to your other players, its you being a sore winner. Same goes for mass flashlight clicking and tea bagging at the exit gate. Just because its allowed doesn't mean you arent a flying ######### for doing it.

  • As a survivor main Ill throw my two cents in. I do not mind getting killed as long as it was fair and a good match. If it was tunneling/camping, or other generally unsportsmanlike conduct ill be rightfully pissed, but if the killer is doing their thing and just outplays me? I cant be mad at that.

  • Addendum: Is this meant to hint at some kind of Encanto 'we dont talk about Bruno' licensed dLC?!

The pallet stuns aren't so bad for me but what really gets me is pallet and window vaults. It's pretty much forced me to run Spine Chill + Resilience because if I don't I can be standing up on the other side of the pallet and still get hit.

And yes it is super dumb that the lower your ping is the more you get rewarded. Hopefully they make vaults server sided soon.

I'm with you on the windows. I used to not understand, then I learned about the angle of approach and a full speed vault vs a partial speed one. Going dead at it at a full speed vault im getting hit while on the other side once again and I am just confused

The point I was trying to get at is that a Rainbow Map costs 7k and appears far less than the First Aid Kit costing 4k and appearing far more.

Okay you are completly right about that. First Aid Kits in general have better utility, as in a common kit does all the things a ranger kit does, just less efficently, while a basic map does NOT do what a rainbow map does.

I guess a problem with the glass beads is that it's loud a d super annoying hence why no one uses it. I really wish bhvr would tone down some noises in this game, especially when you purposely don't wiggle and the missed wiggle bar is loud af.

Rainbow Map - Good item, Ultra Rare.

First Aid Kit - Very good item, Uncommon

Ranger Medkit - Best item in DBD, Very Rare.

Yes, but not everything in every game is about taking the most optimal build and the most optimal perks and the most optimal items.

Thats how you get half the playerbase complaining about the current meta for the otherside. The dead hard/ borrowed time/ decisive strike issue wouldnt be so bad if people actually used different builds.

But that aside, this needs to be a clear sign to the devs that the map and key need reworks for usability (and I dont mean key needs to be better for the hatch, but all of its ancilary uses)

  • See I dont understand the concept, the map is one of my favorite items. Yes it doesn't speed up healing or gens, but with the right addons it can save your ass at times. The non rainbow maps have issues for sure, but rainbow is an amazing item.

  • Bubba is terrifying in a chase, I hate facing him because of how good he can be, he just has to get NEAR you and you are down. His face camping is garbage though, I personally think the solution to that is easy, have the chainsaw swing STOP after hitting the first survivor (no penalties along side it) if him, and atleast 2 other survivors, are within 5 feet of the hook. Wont stop him from swinging the hammer and nailing the other survivor for a hit, giving him a down and a hit, but wont give him 2 garunteed downs. Thats just my 2 cents.

  • Its not very rare, atleast not according to rarity, its just uncommon.

While its not as good as the very rare one that shows everyone what you are seeing w/ the map, its still solid for pointing out specific places, basement, gens being worked on, hex totems, etc.

I think that BHVR needs to impliment something for these kinds of items/perks/addons. Something akin to what you see in horizon zero dawn, or other similar games. When you hover over the item, you click a button to see a short little video of it in action, how to use it, etc.

Like you look at the Anti-Hemorragic Syringe, you'd click the button and you'd see a little video of someone going up, using a medkit, the prompt appears and it pauses and focused on it (with the correct keybinding/button mapping for the user) and then plays the sound you hear when it works. Something like that.

  • My problem with this perk is that if its only super helpful if you lose the chase with the killer that finds you on your gen NEAR that gen. It stops them from downing you kicking it, then picking you up. I wish it had some additional utility in some way, maybe being a 'you use it on this gen, when its kicked it doesn't regress' or 'when you use it on this gen when its kicked it gets blocked instead of damaged and everyone sees the aura of it'

I love the perk its in my current rotation, but more often then not I dont get to use it, and when I do half the time the killer just hooks and waits.

I just looked at Bloody Disgustings top 25 modern horror 2000 to 2021 basically

    Fnaf is not there

    Soma is there

Bloodborne is there and Outlast,Evil With in etc.

Bioshock actually needs to be there but it probably a typo.

I'd honestly ADORE a Bloodborne chaper. Killer could be Father Gascoigne, a human that has his axe, but his power could be the beast transformation, giving him some new abilities (similar to the oni but just not giving it billy's skill set)

  • To give more justification to why springtrap is garbage to include.

Scott Cawthorn the creator of FnaF is a far right conservative and christian fundimentalist who donates a LOT of money to similar church groups who activly work to erase political protections for minority groups, such as lgbtq+ people. He is a horrible person and including his stuff in this game would just give him more attention and funnel him more money.

  • I adore For the People, I think its one of the best balanced and designed survivor perks in the game. I love running it alongside (the revamped) babysitter and kindred.

  • Pig mains are a different breed of killer all together...

  • The forum is not the game, you know there are different things, right?

  • I had that happen a few days ago, I had about 4 games in a row against the same Artist, and it was the first time I played against artist. By the end I felt bad for them, cause they went from stomping to getting stomped...

  • Yeah, we have been asking for the option to alter the SFX in this game as an accessability feature for ages, they are never going to do it because 'its a feature of the game.'

  • The one where bubbah hooks one person then stands there face ######### the hook waiting for someone to try and save so they can chainsaw aoe down both the rescuer and the hooked survivor

  • Waah, they took away my cosmetics because some people were being violently racist waah

  • There really is no matchmaking in this game and its obvious.

The excuse 'you wanna wait forever' doesnt even fly because the wait times are ALREADY forever. I'd much rather wait 5 more minutes then have a Irri 1 ranked killer take us all out by the 2 minute mark.

  • I am still for a toggle option for killers.

You toggle 'match with SWF' in the lobby and then you have the chance to be matched with SWF groups, if you dont toggle it you dont.

Now you'd go 'well why would you do it' and the answer could be any myriad of things, giving killers special cosmetics for it, charms, a simple 2x BP bonus to doing it. There are tons of ways to reward killers for doing it, and it would let them know going in that they Might get a tryhard team. Hell I know some killer players who would relish the chance to at a challange. MEANWHILE killers who are just playing to do dailies, or want to do one or two killer matches every other month dont load into their first match in weeks to get a swf team that all have dead hard, borrowed time, and decisive strike.

    ALTERNATLY

When you are in SWF and your SWF team all brings the SAME perk, those perks should have their effectivness reduces. significantly smaller skill check zones for decisive strike, increased exhaustion for dead hard, etc
