*DEEP SIGH* I can't believe I'm actually joining in. Whatever...
Playing against these so called strategies is annoying and unfun. Mainly because the Killer decided to play like this, but also because if you're playing solo, most of the time your teammates will try to save the unfortunate soul getting camped, and that usually—no, *always*—results in their defeat.
They then start blaming the Killer for choosing to camp, forgetting that they were mostly the ones in control of the situation.
It's enjoyable seeing these topics every day. Not really...

If you didn't mention the chart, I bet not so many people would be commenting right now lol. Most of what I see here is that the chart is far from being exact. And although that is true, it doesn't really matter here. You made your points obvious and clear, the chart was just something of a confirmation, something that made you even more confident in your opinion. But as said, even if the chart was somehow reliable, it wouldn't matter! You probably would have made this post anyway. I'd not mention the chart at all next time, as it tilted a lot of people (though you can never fully avoid that).
Imo, Freddy is a very strong killer. Because of his passive abilities, both good and bad players will play him well. Playing survivors a lot, I can confirm that playing against Freddy is much more difficult than against other killers. Wth is that lunge range???
Wish you get some more valuable feedback and not the 100th comment "cHaRt nOt rEliAblE." Yes, we know, we know.

I get what you're saying. And I agree that we should appreciate what they do if we decide to throw complains at them. "Treat others the way you want to be treated." If all we do is to complain, there's no reason for the developers to be nice to us back. It's just common sense.
I personally have no experience in game development. And therefore no clue how long it takes to come up with ideas and implementing them. But I'm sure it takes time and requires creativity. That is why I admire and appreciate it.
However, there are certain mistakes that the developers made and continue making. Such as broken promises and subsequent rejection of apology/explanation, which are things that people of this community deserve!
It's the basics that aren't being looked upon—be on good terms with your community (majority of it). Be excited to start with a new patch and be curious of what people will think of it. Continue growing with valuable feedback. But don't take the amount of money it will bring you as a priority.

Flashlight saves. Though I don't find them completely toxic, I can udnerstand why Killers find them that way. However, they're satisfing as well. :3

What do you mean more practical?
The other day someone posted a really nice comparison of various resolution settings. Some of those made certain loops 100% safe that were otherwise mindgameable, smells like low key cheating if you ask me.
"Practical" because it makes the game easier. Useful = practical.
-
Some people play to discharge their frustration. Not to "have fun." They probably think they're good at it, too. So if they win, they'll want to make everybody know—they'll act toxic. Since they're such "good players," they'll expect a good outcome from every match. So if that good outcome doesn't happen—they'll act toxic.
-
It's really difficult to balance the game since survivors are divided into solo players and SWFs. And there is a huge difference between these groups. I hope I don't need to be saying why—it's obvious. I honestly think that if the game could somehow detect SWFs (not necessarily just 2 people), the game would be easier to balance. Like adding a more skilled killer in their lobby or giving them some sort of disadvantage. But again, ranks matter here. So it's not that easy.

One of the Tombstone ones or both... If his left hand is open instead of closed, he has Tombstone.
For the others you have to pay attention though. If a Myers never tiers up from tier 1 and consistently pops up from corners, it's highly likely he has Scratched Mirror. If he never tiers up from tier II and also is slower, it is possibe he has Vanity Mirror as it reduces hier speed in tier II. His movement speed in II and III is 115% aka 4.6 m/s.
Also if a Myers is actively stalking throughout the game non stop mostly, he might have Lock Tuft of Hair or Fragrant Tuft of Hair. They both require a insane amount of stalking to fill up!
Thank you for the detailed answer!

1. Legion
2. Freddy
3. Hag
- Legion because I'm annoyed by constantly mending. But most importantly, when Legion sees me, he uses his Frenzy to hit me, then cancels his power. And so I'm being chased while injured with my screen looking like a mess because of his power.
(I'm aware that The Legion is a group of individuals. It was just easier for me use "he.")
- Freddy because all his powers are passive, therefore playing against him is almost always the same. Then Dream World can be very deceiving sometimes. I still can't get used to his terror radius coming from every direction.
- Hag because her powers are basically forcing her to camp. And camping is never a fun thing to do in any game... The only mechanic I can think of which can make it easier to play against her is Nea's Urban Evasion, but I don't meet many Hags, so it's not really worth it.
I'm still okay with playing against whoever. The killers may be the same, but the players aren't.
Shoutout to all Ghost Faces who are being mentioned here. I love playing against y'all. Just keep chillin', killin'.
-
Wait, Freddy's fake pallettes are different in color? How? Is it just for Freddy himself or for survivors, too?
Sorry for asking that question first, I just haven't noticed it. Anyway, I agree that ALL the changes that come with new updates should be definitely addressed. People complain a lot and about everything, so there's no need to be afraid of "feedback."

If the effect of any Hex perk is revealed to you, you get Cursed. The only Hex perk this doesn't apply to is Haunted Grounds (maybe Blood Favor and Undying too, I'm not sure). After this, as long as the Hex totem stays up you can forever recover from the Dying state with Soul Guard.
Examples of when the Cursed status effect triggers:
- Letting go of a gen with Ruin active
- Having someone on the team get insta-downed for the first time because of Devour Hope
- Starting the cleanse totem act with Thrill of the Hunt
- Getting hit when Third Seal is active
- Hitting a skill check when Huntress Lullaby is active
- Having someone on the team get insta-downed by NOED
- Retribution making you Oblivious after cleansing a dull totem
Thank you for the detailed answer!

Playing from 12:00 to 16:00 - 17:00 (in any given day) has been the best experience for me so far. Players are average and neither side plays with your typical "toxic" build or item (keys, Moris, NOED, DS).
Before and after that, the matchmaking keeps changing just as you mentioned. Don't know why, but it does.

don't know if you even play the game but yes you the player gets jumpscared but the character you play as dies game over
That was my first sentence.

Their ability is holding the game hostage rather than killing the survivors. If anything, I think they need a full rework.
-
Block the hatch for 30 seconds so that the killer can camp it? Haha, no. It's just one player; if they find the hatch, let them have it. It's not like this happens often. It's actually the first time I've heard of this happening. Who would want to DC and lose points just to give their teammate a hatch escape? Not many. Especially not randoms, lol. It seems like you're coming from your own (not so old) experience.
-
Not officialy, but it acts as if it was. So yes and no.

I find it interesting that you put "killers" between quotation marks. Because the FNAF killers do, in fact, kill you. No quotation marks needed. You know that you die when the animatronics jumpscare you, right? Just checking to be sure because there's so much misinformation about FNAF being spread by FNAF haters that I wouldn't be surprised if people actually believed that the animatronics just jumpscare you for the funsies and then pat your shoulder and laugh with you.
They are killers, but from what I noticed, in FNAF games, it's not about them killing the player, it's about surprising/jumpscaring them. I don't know if there is such thing, but I've never seen a FNAF character kill the player on screen. That's why I put quotation marks between that word. Because my intention was to point out how little I think FNAF characters would fit in DBD's KILLER section. Calling them killers directly wouldn't help me with that. I should have just used characters instead...
But knowing as little about FNAF as I do, I feel neutral about it. So it was not an insult or a hateful comment.

you act as though DbD is scary. it's only scary when something quick and startling happens and sets off your adrenaline.
so a jumpscare.
It's definitely the chases for me, not jumpscares. Those are rare.
-
Kate. Duh.
-
I love all the ideas players have about this unofficial chapter, but it doesn't seem to fit in DBD... It's like FNAF is a different genre than DBD. It's more about jumpscares and the atmosphere. FNAF's "killers" don't chase the player, they just sort of scare them. I hope this makes sense. 😂
-
I run Iron Will every match just to shut him up. 😂 Sorry if it's offensive to anyone, I just can't--
-
Do you know any other game that bans this sort of thing? If people decide to play like ######### then that's their problem.
If you meet a face-camper; do gens and hope that your hooked buddy will cooperate and stay on the hook Till the end. Then the killer either loses the match or gets 1-2 kills.
And although I hate tunneling, sometimes I can understand when a killer decides to do so. Sometimes it's needed when the survivors genrush or the killer makes far too many mistakes.
Asking to ban these actions seems unreasonable to me.
-
Sounds wonderful. But as long as there are no more trees and rocks, I'll take anything, lol.

BBQ has 100%
Also, in general more perks should have bp increase effect, to reduce the grind.
Hmm, I wasn't sure. That sucks then. Especially 'cause BBQ has 2 functions... If it did have only 75%, maybe then it'd be more fair - comparing it with WGLF.
+ To the author of the post:
"The better your team plays, the harder it is to max the stacks (for you, as a survivor)."
If your team is doing good then the killer is having a hard time, too, and won't maximize their stacks. It's mutual.
-
It sure isn't as straightforward as BBQ. It can sometimes be a waste of time if someone else unhooks right in front of you, lol. But at least you get to stack your unhooks up to 100%. BBQ has only 75%. I think.
-
It'd be something different. But if we were suddenly on an alian ship, it wouldn't feel like DBD. It seems too much out of place. I'm not sure.

If it's anyone before the last survivor, they get hooked; I may just take them to a further hook for map balance.
For the last person, it's always a toss-up between hatch and hook. I like giving people the hatch, but I don't like the wiggling mechanic when carrying a survivor, so if they wiggle, I'll give a little head shake, and if they keep wiggling, I'll hook them. I just don't want to deal with the pull and stun of it. But also it totally depends on how the game was going. I haven't had a game recently where it fit to give last person hatch (ie. too quick a game, couldn't find last person so it made more sense to close hatch, etc.).
A little head shake? Haven't heard of that yet. :D
-
I think he's one of the very few things that are balanced in this game. He's not too strong, not too weak. It's not often I play against Demos, but when I do, I usually see them putting a portal next to a hooked surv. 💀 But hey, I get it. It takes time to get through these portals anyway.
-
Both are entertaining and can be helpful if you're new.
-
200k BPs for 1k shards? Holy #########, someone did the math. 😅 If it were about to happen, it should be hard to get these shards. Even if it would be an unfair trade.
-
I can't imagine myself buying any cosmetics for anything else than the in-game currency. I've done so once, only because part of the money was going to a charity (that was in a different game, though). So I suppose I'd only buy them if it was more than just a skin with no real benefits. And that skin would need to appeal to me. Otherwise, I might as well just contribute to the charity directly.
The prices would need to go under 2$ for me to buy them as they are now. 💀
-
He seems to have only passive abilities, which makes him easier to play than most killers. You don't really need any specific skills; as long as you're good with other killers, you're good with Freddy. You tell me if that is a good thing or not. 🤔
Of course, as always, there is a difference between rank 20 and 1 Freddy.
But no matter what rank I play against, being an obession stuck in the Dream World the entire game is playing on my nerves. 💀
-
Trapper and GhostFace are sweethearts. Huntress is a lifelong crush. Ever since I met them in my matches, I knew we were meant to be.
-
I used to be annoyed with BBQ when I first started, which was basically an excuse for my bad looping skills and I knew it, lol. But after I found out I could hide in a locker or stand close to the hooked wretch, I realized it was an OK perk. Useful, fair.
-
Ebony Mori does need a rework (a nerf), I feel. I main survivors, so this may be a one-sided opinion, as I don't know how easy/hard it is for killers to play. But from my experience, Ebony Mori appears in half of my matches, and those matches always end very quickly - either because survivors DC to avoid the Mori, or because everybody is dead in five minutes. I've never won a single match against Ebony Mori, and that makes me sort of give up when I see it at the beginning of the match.
For people who don't know what an opinion means, I'd like you to save the trouble of saying "a Mori is easy to counter, you are just a bad player!"
But yeah, even really good survivors I know seem to struggle with it.
