    This update brought a new survivor. Mikaela. She brought mayhem with her (we’ll come back to that). almost reminds me of old Laurie.

    A lot of killer nerfs were also implemented, effectively overshadowing very minor buffs/quality of life changes to trash tier killers (trapper, ghostface, plague etc.).

    Here are the most notable f ups from this patch and I seriously don’t recall a worse one in the 3 years I have been here with bhvr.

    spirit;

    this was a long time coming unfortunately. It makes killer play more boring since now you really only have nurse and maybe blight left. But it was always gonna happen. Strong survivors knew how to counter her but spirit was still strong cause she could actually mindgame effectively. Now that’s gone.

    She lost her speed, lost her element of surprise and is really no longer viable. As a matter of fact she’s a blind wraith who’s easier to hear coming.

    wraith;

    just...just...just why? Who complained about wraith? We asked for buffs for years and now you are making him worse than he’s been in a very long time. Very weird. And all seeing was and ultra rare add on, wasn’t even that strong. Now it’s useless. Just a freaking weird change.

    Deathslinger;

    #########?

    pig;

    terrible state atm. Actually got nerfed and buggy af.

    trapper;

    was trapper ever really that strong with bag add ons? No. He was still one of the worst ones. But thanks for saving me a brown add on I guess. Idk.

    plague;

    It’s aight.

    mikaela(BOONS!);

    the boon totems are now one of the strongest perks in the game. And with these perks comes a few nerfs to killer perks actually.

    circle of healing;

    It’s essentially a 5th and 6th perk for survivors. It works for all survivors in the trial. That’s insanely powerful, meaning that EVERYONE have botany, we’ll make it(double team) and self care at all times. That’s one of the strongest perks in the game now. Huge nerf to sloppy and the hit and run play style. medkits were already broken, so why not buff them? Jesus this perk is insanely overpowered.

    shadow step;

    its lucky break but forever and without taking a health state. It’s also distortion. And worst of all, it works for EVERYONE. Not as strong circle of healing obviously but still really strong. And obviously makes aura reading perks like nurse’s calling and bbq useless.

    performance issues;

    console is broken again and game crashes all the time. But worst of all, the game literally gets stuck in loading screen. This is a huge one and a new one. Mainly for killers, worst on old gen but prevalent on all platforms. You literally can’t play the game half the time.

    this is the worst update they have ever made. 5.2.0 looks like a masterpiece next to it. Idk if it’s incompetence, cruelty or just overworked developers that inspire this terrible game development. Bhvr have always proven to be in over their heads but this is the apex of it. This update is terrible. It’s really really bad.

    Agreed with everything. Also the boons seem to not have height restrictions I believe I saw used on meat plant so they had the whole map secured

    Survivors can clicky click their flashlights all they want at me or do gens as fast as they can, they can teabag at a pallet if they want. Like literally nothing really toxic about it, though I really dislike those that macro the clicks as that sound is just horrid.

    I don't know what you point is here exactly or why you are quoting me. I have no issues, if people want to use tactics, mechanics and abide by the rules... it is fair game. Do your best, try and win by any tactic you want.

    I am just saying killer's found it to be toxic so they reacted as such Idk why I quoted you. Bored I guess. Without PC users my que times are high

  • @adam1233467 said:

    You didn't know that? just look down and you don't get blinded (btw is not a bug)

    Um your not even in the real world based on the description so how can you be blinded? Logic is required to make the character background and ability make sense. Yeah just look down, so fun. Hence why I run lightborn and tunnel flashlight users for being toxic.

    You cannot sit in one spot for extended periods of time? Euhm... ever done a gen? 80 seconds of sitting still.

    Like I literally just got out of a game where the killer got someone into the basement at 4 gens, camped the basement and snowballed that into a 4k. I helped one other member to get the unhook before they died, I traded and was now hanging on the hook... my team healed and reset, then messed up horribly... but it happens.

    Just because you do not like the tactic doesn't mean it isn't valid.

    Toxic survivors are real, flashlights abuse, gen rushing pallets reset to be reslammed constant teabagging who is to hlame? Both. Started with survivors and killers adapted to make ends meat.

  • All my PC based friends cannot play as this is in fact a steam based thing after the update, why are so many bugs still not found after all the work? My gosh can't even play with my buddy now.

  • @Totodile said:

    It's the 4th generator that's silent, in every game I believe.

    Odd, I will make a pass at that tonight and check it out that actually maybe the same thing I keep hearing but sometimes this occurs on the third gen oddly when I am in a chase and I am 100% certain that it happens only when in a chase and I usually will drop a chase to apply pressure in the recently fixed gens location, but it never occurred to me that it was a specific generator in completion that may have been the silent one. I HAVE actually had it be the last one too were I didn't even hear the gate noise occur letting me know but luckily I was away of the Gen counter and didn't to in to playing around with a survivor that was struggling or goofing around back with me when playing.

    @NitroGames said:

    I also encountered that when fixing the wiring of a generator it is completely silent as well.

    I have had that occur to me only one time when survivor, but I was alone and most of my team was either Xbox or PC and I don't know if they were on the gen with me at the time way back but. As I said I don't believe that it is subtle hacking rather a bug entirely.

    If you want survivors to remain a chance of escaping, the hatch needs to remain in the game. Either that, or gates need to be hardcoded to not be easy to patrol.

    Because that 1 survivor cannot be expected to do all the gens on his own, meaning he needs teammates to finish gens. That 1 survivor cannot be expected to heal up and unhook all his teammates, meaning he needs teammates. That 1 survivor often cannot heal on his own, meaning he needs teammates.

    The hatch is essentially there to give players a reason to not hold the game hostage. Because really, what are you going to expect when the 3rd survivor is killed but there are 2 gens left? That survivor to give away his or her location? Or hide all game untill they can maybe touch a generator? But what if there is a 3 gen, might aswell never touch a generator because otherwise the killer knows you're there, meaning you cannot escape. So you might aswell keep on hiding untill the killer goes AFK. The hatch is a really important mechanic in DBD.

    You think I go AFK no you won't just die or do a gen to which I may actually let you do if you beg you finish all of them then I may let you live or die but at least I let you have the points I get sweaty and thirsty for a actual chase rather than, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, teabag, escape.

    Killer player here as well - You could just make a powerful hex build, and top it off with haunted grounds to counter the perk:

    Ruin

    Undying

    Haunted Grounds

    Retriboution / Devour Hope / NoED / Crowd Control

    Now all 5 totems are plugged with a strong build and boons are rendered worthless.

    I also don't think that boons should be the survivor's hex that is the one that can be continually brought back in to the game unlike hexes. A bit one sided in honesty but you know. If snuffed out snuffed out then survivor's will whine for better hiding spots so both sorta benefit but really only the survivor's will. Because honestly hexes are obsolete and utterly pointless before this and after this patch and long after.

    That would just be fair it would force them to cleanse the totems as normal lose the boon lose the hex the way it should have been before hand honestly. But here we are.

    Press and hold the Ability button near a Dull or Hex Totem to bless it and create a Boon Totem. Soft chimes ring out in a 24 meter range.

    Any Survivors within the Boon Totem's range with the Exposed status effect will be granted the Endurance status effect. Survivors in the Deep Wounds state wil be put into the dying state when hit.

    You can only bless one Totem at a time. All equipped boon perks are active on your Boon Totem.

    Fine but no other boons can be used when this one is in play. This one will deactivate all other boons.

    Showing people in lockers should never be a thing. It's bad enough that Legion can get killer instinct on people hiding in lockers without stealth killers seeing them as well.

    Well 8 meters is literally on top of a locker anyway, if your listening you can hear them breathing, injured or just run Ironmaiden and come back when they get out lol or use Ironmaiden and check the locker super fast and move on lol. Either way you are seen at some point.

  • @DarkbeastPaarl said:

    "All-Seeing"-Blood is still useful, if a Survivor is nearby a Gen you're at. 8 meters is still space you can use to find people. My counter to make it a brown addon, just buff the thing to make it worth using it as a purple addon. Easy enough to do.

    I agree that it is not worth a the rarity of it's current form and all the addons are better in comparison to this now so brown would actually be a bigger reason to use it as I use vaulting speed/ kicking speed addon when cloaked as it makes my life easy hit something cloaked, move on and back on top of the survivor in a bit and hit with a pallet, cloak and go chase enough to have all pallets gone before first gen if I am lucky lol.

  • @Marcavecunc said:

    Love how, if you look at the different versions of it, it started at 8 meters in version 1.0, then went up to 10, then 12, now back down to 8. I mean I know they changed other aspects of the killer to justify those changes but still.

    One thing they could have done if they wanted to counter the fact Wraith moves faster than ever before is making the uncloaking take a bit longer, while leaving it at 12 meters.

    That uncloaking increase would have been better trade than the meters if anything 9-10 meters would have been better and this is coming from a Killer main.

  • @DatNasty1216 said:

    8 meters is wayyyyy too short to have any use, it's utterly garbage now

    You don't understand it was actually OP before. You have sheer speed with the wraith, if you need more than 8 meters your doing it wrong but however I believe it should show people in lockers as a trade off because 8 meters is pretty darn close and a good wraith would be on top of someone easily but 8 meters lets you see around corners and prevent a Claudette situation if you get my drift 😉

    it's a bit of an outlier but that is often how it goes in general matches

    but regardless i've killed three people with tombstone piece before without timing it so that it ends before kill animation and doesn't completely gank your stalk meter, it doesn't actually increase stalk required by a substantial amount

    doing that requires very good stalk management sure but if you're just running around with 130% movement off play with your food like i tend to then it's not like survivors can do much about you pinballing around ganking people anyway

    and otz himself says 'tombstone piece is better for winning but what kind of win is this'

    but regardless tombstone piece is ungodly powerful and both a game-dominating and game-ending addon on a good myers

    we all know myers receives the absolute fattest brutal killers and entity displeased..s so that's hardly relevant come on, now really

    I don't deny if I had to rank killer's it would be in favor of Myers but I have seen so many when I started and it was easy times even when I sucked at the game, I don't deny outside of a real match instantaneous death isn't a win. But Movie Myers is a special kind of fun, would have been my go to if I had Movie Freddy, I missed out on that opportunity. In what world can you make use of play with your food? I barely get in chasing distance to the obsession in most matches to make this work at all unless they are completely useless and or unaware of the perk and run around me like a crazy person.

    Killer's Tier Top 5 regardless of what is used but you must factor in skill on this because otherwise it's just stupid

    Blight, Nurse, Trapper, Twins. But this is my personal experience and my experience.

  • Just a mention entity displeased, he failed as his job, because he didn't meet the standards to be a good killer even when he got two kills with a mori it wasn't enough, an he claimed to have that addon was OP? He used a bug in order to gain a situation in which it hard can be said can be doable unless your a potato.

    Edit: As I said it is something that is mostly used for the movie memes and better off being used during the last two survivor's whom have a more than 1 hook minimum to maximize it's power to end a match that is dragging out, obviously it would allow for you to slightly stalk the last 2 provided you didn't kill one person whom was needed and didn't kill the ones you never capped out on. But this addon is better for you to finish a match than opening with one honestly. But I don't deny that one specific addon is trash in both survivor's and killer's regards

  • This was a clear and obvious answer to the issue with that addon it only allows for you to kill one, unless you meet the insane requirement of killing one right before it ends otherwise you cannot get back to T3, I don't deny it takes time and can be done and is a bit much but the hugest thing is he is garbage, he said he would only have two hooks at that point? But what perks? What Killers? All the survivor's in that game had a big problem right away, ... THEY RAN AROUND AT THE START. This is actually ironic as my family we do DbD SWF we suck more so two of our family members suck, one will run at the start and be hooked immediately one hides in lockers too much too long always hoping to get the hatch, an asking who is on gens when not even on one her self. The point is when they don't run that Myers wouldn't have had a huge advantage over seeing them, the snow map is a bad example of how he used myers as the building does give you a tactical advantage but it works both ways a SWF could warn the whole group of a killer, the one random who did a totem knowing that the killer is nearby clearly ignored the terror radius and heartbeats and being observant.

    I do think that the addon is a bit powerful but again a movie meme power addon at best unless you take that "bug" he used to get two kills which is obviously insanely difficult to use in random matches.

    All maps have some distinctive features that are advantages of both and negatives of both. Example Haddonfield, complete all gens in the open. Boom game over now the killer needs to in and out of every house provided their is a gen sound then the way the house is set up is super safe for the survivor's but go outside next to a fence and I can hit you a cross it but I can usually only get lucky with a hit in a house if they are completely oblivious and not paying attention to what is going on. Hexes are actually rather well placed, but again hexes also spawn inside the house's next to gens. Unacceptable.

    But I get your point and it is a good and valid one but so many ways to counter Myers and one was obviously not all being clustered into a singular area. I spawn with everyone I literally will go the exact opposite way of everyone else and never be found even when not on Claudette.

    i always bring addons to increase the speed i stalk the obsession then i kill the genrusher and then i stalk so more and then kill the toxic nea who tries to loop me. then you slug the last too and BOOM free win every game

    ez

    I don't deny if you bring one of the stalking addons for increased speed it's pretty easy but I have found out during this I feel required to use deerstalker, Knockout, Dying Light and Spies and or Than or The clowns 50% healing reduction in order to prevent them from getting back up as grabbing the survivor's doesn't pause it like it does for the oni.

    Looking at the game from a pure math point of view a killer cannot win the game.

    Gens take 80 seconds to complete without addons without perks just base time for 1 survivor.

    Killer needs at least 15 seconds to find a survivor, and considering how loops loop to another loop and another and another and another lets say for arguments sake it takes an additional 60 seconds for a killer to get a down. Then 12 more seconds to hook total for an average killer 87 seconds. By the time he hooks, and tries to go to one of the 3 gens considering survivors split up on gens he can't prevent any of them from popping so he is 3 gens down 1 hook.

    You make the math then and see if the gen speed is fine.

    The sad part is that the higher you move in MMR as killer the more efficient people you find on gens because those are the ones who manage to raise their MMR by sticking on gens and getting out.

    I swear almost all my games since the SBMM (skill btw the way = escaping) people stay injured just to get out cause adrenaline will pop on the last gen.

    I have good games sure on smaller maps but on big maps unless I play Nurse or Blight or Freddy or Twins is extremely hard to impossible to win unless I make the game unfun for the other side which I don't want to.

    Ruin/Undying is the most overrated and bullshit combo people spew out and then cry when it goes down in 20 seconds in a match. Now with boon totems every single survivor will know all totem spawns and good luck running any totem perks. I gave up on them long ago every time I use them they go down in 20-30 seconds giving me no value.

    I stopped taking the game seriously and just try different builds and rarely use gen defence perks cause they are mostly detriment anyway.

    Discordance.. people realise you have it and split on gens when you do.

    There are core issues in the game that the devs refuse to see or admit. For them the maps are balanced, killer should bust their ass and have to deal with bodyblocks, pallet stun saves, flashlight saves and so on and so forth but please don't camp or slug the poor survivors.

    And survivors with BT or DS don't just run in front of your face feeling immortal.

    I played a game 2 nights ago on Yamaoka with Nurse. I blinked 4 times from one edge of the map to the other to find the survivors and a gen popped.... True the survivors all spawned together. I won the game because I made it unpleasant for them.

    The fact is that all these things to blame are purely on the devs and not the players for using their tools to win.

    The devs balance for 1v1 when the game is 1v4.

    There are so many things that could be done to help both sides and create a bigger interraction, more objectives etc.

    Totems for example when lit could be in a cage that requires a key to unlock. For every hex totem an extra chest could spawn in the map with a key therefore giving a different value to keys all together as well as not rendering hex totems completely useless for killers.

    Gen speeds could be altered based on how many gens are left. 5 Gens should take 180 seconds to complete each, 4 gens 140, 3 gens 100 each and last 2 gens 80. The game simply handicaps the killers.

    Only perk I have seen worth it's salt is dying light, worst thing is it deactivates the moment when the obsession dies instead of just not being able to get anymore stacks forcing me to leave someone alive the whole game and make me aware of whom I can't hook sometimes they body block and I slug them and then they DC on purpose. I swear it wouldn't be so bad if it worked like save the best for last.

    Amen and the worst type of survivor's are the one that sit still and wait for you to hit them with borrowed time and run out a open exit gate and Tbag at the end. No fear of death when there hardly is any deaths when you have a small amount of understanding and know how.

    Everyone says this but they don't take into account the variables of a match. They don't account for snowballing or anything like that. Increasing gen times would create artificial difficulty for survivors. Because then the killers who already know how to pressure survivors well would always win because the first gens would take too long to complete. Not to mention solo que where most players struggle to do gens efficiently. It's also assuming that survivors are only on gens the whole duration of the match which is not true.

    Pressure builds. It's not given after a few hits. Pressure relies on you to capitalize on survivor mistakes (i.e not healing, getting greedy at a pallet/gen).

    Also the devs have actually recognized camping, slugging and tunneling as a strategy. They just said they don't want to encourage it too much because it ruins the fun. Which is fair, it isn't always needed unless you're struggling.

    Also what's wrong with people recognizing your perks? Good killers have learned to recognize what perks a survivor has so why is it bad when its the other way around? It's game knowledge which is something that gives you another advantage.

    Also yes hex perks are way over rated and the people who want to take away the gamble from it have no clue about how the game balance works.

    Also increased gen times is mitigated by survivor's actually bringing in tool boxes which give a more balanced approach to the problem solving gen rushing for killer's but hey, you have to have the survivor's make a mistake not the killer who can literally lose a game due to one mistake or you know one lucky dead hard making a build not work. As a Pig Main if I don't headgear someone before the first gen I actually feel like the one being murdered because I require the single person to be busy doing something else because totems are worthless, so this is a must, if I can't get it done I have to hook them faster to make use of my slowdown build then I have to boringly proxy camp, if I don't do well I get to enjoy being teabagged at the end of EVERY game even though I think with out dead hard nearly everyone would always die because it prevents me from getting at least one hook within a 5-15 second time frame, this short window of time for any killer detrimental to the situation and actually winning or losing. But you know, I don't think that you play killer's and if you do not enough to be matched with anything but potatoes and understand the problem with the games balance and design.

    Hexes are overwhelmingly obsolete and boons are infact a more balanced version but for survivor's sake, Survivor's I know for a fact can sometimes spawn on top of them. totem locations in auto heaven actually spawn near the damn generator's but ironically they don't touch them if not lit. Because you know why bother unless noed? Balance yes. Balance a risk and reward that spawns NEXT TO THE GENS!? Yeah. You sure know your balance.

    How to counter tombstone in 3 easy steps

    1. choose myers
    2. bring tombstone piece
    3. kill one of the players

    and boom now they can't gen rush instead they will cower in fear trying not to get mori'd realizing if they gen rush you will get another mori

    and the game will end with either somebody getting hatch or you close hatch and kill them

    Do you realize that a single tombstone is a huge amount of stalking? You actually have to cap out on 1 person then 1 person and anhalf I believe, the amount of stalking it takes would cause the survivor's death if they let him stalk that long as it isn't hard to use lithe and get distance or sprint burst and cut the line of sight for both tombstones you have to actually cap out on 3 survivor's and the 4th a bit I believe it is mostly for the movie effect of the music the knife stance and instantaneous deaths an getting them within the last gen because that is how long it takes is usually not viable, then one tombstones I believe you can only get 1 kill then never enter T3 Again entirely. This one is the rare version of the red instantaneous death. So I hate to say it there is a counter to this. Pay attention and get out of sight.

    You realize the whole point of a hex is you're not suppose to keep it, right? They have powerful effects but can be removed. That's literally the entire system. It's a gamble. But I do agree with the IW and Stridor point. It was more done out of reaction for old Spirit I think. IW definitely should not keep noises mute because survivors can literally lose you behind walls solely because you don't have any clues to where they went. It makes being injured less of a debuff and just another health state before going down. Still though the way you go about saying this is very immature and victimizing. Painting killers are the only ones with bad perks while survivors are just sadistic towards them with their """op"""" perks.

    I get that hexes do not mean it stays in the game the whole time, but having to use UD is a bad example of how often survivor's will actually spawn on top of the hex, causing it to be gone in seconds and If not a perk will find it or map, now I believe that hexes shouldn't ever have been "lit" as the in game description states it is a secret penalty against survivor's and the totem system should be a main objective in pair with the gens as it's actually not an issue if all 4 survivor's see a totem they do it and not focus the gens solely, as killer's don't get two pips for just killing everyone with out chasing etc.

    As far as the perk system goes the perks should always counter one another to make it a more fun and interesting experience for both sides and this is coming from a IW Claudette, but I find it would be fun to see them run stridor heck sometimes my characters breathing sounds louder and I suspect that they have it but nope. Always the same boring stuff because you know 101 perks practically and only a set of like 10 are used because they don't all combat one another in a unique way and manner.

    But in regard to hexes itself it's why I LOVE RPD, they last at least 1 minute minimum for me and that's sad that it makes me happy.

    STOP working on the box, i.e. they make franklin's not make people drop the box and hoarder not give you a pickup notification for the box

    i.e. no unique perk usage allowed corrupt/deadlock/pop/[chase ender] forever

    If horder gives a pick up notification that is fine your going to use it most likely and shouldn't able to just carry it around and do other things, but that is just me.

    He spent way too long committing to Cheryl and didn't capitalize on Corrupt by searching gens. The whole point of Corrupt is to cut down your patrol route, yet he sticks to the Cheryl in the part of the map where she can't do anything. It's actually really hard to tell when the match starts because of how the video is cut. But it still supports my argument of killers not managing time well. CM chose a bad chase in a bad part of the map and the survivors were efficient by splitting on 3 gens. All of this was his fault for making bad choices, not the survivors.

    You can you know ignore the gens hide and move or locker hop until they can be done, hmm, did you say you had corrupt? Must have done so much.

  • @Vampwire said:

    Many times this week I have been told to "rush gens harder" or something of the sort every time my team escapes. Disregarding the fact that many of these killers had meta slowdown (Ruin + UD, Ruin + Pop, etc.) it always seems that the killer doesn't recognize their mistakes but blames the survivors for their loss. And to a degree, yes, survivors make the killer lose, but only when outplaying them consistently. I see a lot of people claim that "survivors are the power role in high play", and while survivors are very strong in that level, its not the whole picture. People seem to forget the fact that *good survivors should escape*. The reason these people aren't dying is because they're very experienced and know the game in and out. They know how to adapt and play based on the situation. Now, why do I bring this up? Because many killer mains will refer to this to discredit survivors. To say "you have it easier than I do, hence your opinion is invalid". And to that I have to say, you're not going against comp squads EVERY match. Sometimes you just lose and you have to accept that. And I know others will say "well what about this?" and list all the busted items survivors can bring. But also you're not going against that every game. Because if you were you probably wouldn't be complaining about gen rushing still.

    Killers refuse to just say "gg you guys did good" and want to thrash survivors for just playing the game. Survivor mains do this too, and I've experienced both on an equal amount. But the thing about is that killers are in control for a majority of how the match plays out. You are the opposing force. The killer you choose and the way you play will change the flow of the match. Its when you let survivors have control that you start to lose. And before you even start, no survivors do not control the flow of the match. They can loop and juke all they want but really its how you use your killers power and how you play that dictates that flow. You're the one who can corner survivors. You're the one who can kill them, the one who can decide where they run to next. If you know that a survivor is going to go for a vault into the next loop, you want to cut them off from that. But just because you're trying to do something doesn't mean that survivors are going to just give it to you.

    I think a lot of killers just expect survivors to roll over and die or run without a plan. And I also believe this is attributed to the skill curve of DBD. They get conditioned into going against lesser opponents to the point where when they meet a challenge they don't know what to do. So they get frustrated and blame the survivor. To remedy this they run the strongest perks they can for easier downs. But a lot of the time I don't see killers use their perks how they should. I've had killers with ruin walk right past me doing a gen to get a down and instead of going back to push me off they just hook instead. I've also had some who full commit to me then wonder why they lost only chasing one person. And their first response to this is "they're genrushing". They don't take accountability for the fact that *they let me do the gen*. They made no attempt to build pressure yet want to complain that they never had a chance to get pressure. Do you expect us to give you health states? To give you hooks? To just not do gens because it'd be nice for you?

    I understand that in some scenarios that its hard to get pressure. Say you get a map that's too big or two survivors ran prove thyself. Something like that. Does it make it harder? Yes. Does it make it impossible? No. Why do you play a 4v1 game and expect to not be challenged by the other side?

    Over 5 items and or perks devoted to taking out Ruin, DL goes the moment you kill the Obsession or they Quit. You shouldn't have to run UD to keep Ruin, UD shouldn't be a hex if it's used to KEEP A HEX yeah a hex to prevent a hex from being lost but that hex can be found first, oh did I mention maps and detective's hunch and did you meet small game? No? So all Meta and semi-meta slowdown perks are Obsolete, Trash that needs to be tweaked but it's because of a bad killer? Sure they make mistakes but how many mistakes can a survivor make with a safe guard? Quite a bit, 16 perks vs 4 said 4 of the killer's are not allowed to counter survivor's perks anymore such as IW and Stridor which was originally a counter to my knowledge. The simple fact that there isn't perk counter perk balance is the actual problem with the game. But you know 101 perks and a community only uses 4 as their meta, while the killer's has a Obsolete and Person/Situational condition to be met that can be taken from them for a mistake. Oh the survivor's job is so darn hard and dangerous, this is like a movie where the survivor's are actually the killer's and the killer is just trying to get the hell out from bouncing trolls with their junk out as they flop it about. Rofl.

  • You mention Boys or you mention Prots and you get warned for it and then jailed because you know? ######### a free world when you know they can work a nft and you know supposedly add to global warming, but I think them breathing is more harmful because every word they make leads to a bad decision how has this company stayed in business for this long. Oh lord I may get jailed. But if my content in my game to which I paid for gets taken from me well a La will occur and that's when I get angry.

    But hopefully Pinhead stays.

    Works on the box, also if Pinhead downs you and your holding it he takes it and uses it automatically.

    but this discussion is not about game balance lol

    That said, I don't like MMR either and I would like dbd to be way more casual, but that doesn't change that the event will be successful

    Yeah casual, don't get me wrong I wasn't talking about balance this game will never have that BHVR made that obvious, but what I am saying is when I bought the game I expected something obviously difficult, I didn't get a killer game to you know meet the friendly trapper and skip around the dandelions with him.

  • EVENTUALLY, the killers will leave and then remarketing the game as survivor vs survivor island! Your boring fantasies come true!

    sure, we will see the steam numbers once the event drops :)

    Oh making a profit sure but when the que times for a surplus of survivors increases because killers don't want to deal with improved hexes "boons" they will come back when it changes most likely. Or not at all because you know on this one thing killers should just play something else untill they are brought to the same level of hexes.

    This will NOT last!

    You will be back playing DBD, you might not admit it but you will.

    Most of you will even play the chapter and the Halloween event.

    I, for one, will play dbd and I am excited for the chapter and the new event.

    Hopefully the storm will give us a blood hunt!

    Don't question my right to literally just turn off the game and come back when they balance it out. The devs need me the main killer, not the casual survivor, I am the reason the game is even still in play all killers are the reason and it's ironic they think survivors are the one's buying outfits, I hardly see them use addons let alone "cash" to buy a costume for a game they play "casually" if I can endure the aggravation and or boredom of the boons I may think of it.

  • @SabunoHakia said:

    After the group seemed to use DH almost within mere seconds from each darn hit, like DS, Dead hard needs a limit of 4 saves, I must have to be out of my mind to watch them nearly use it over 5 times a person and the facts is oddly all of them had it available at the end when the doors opened and teabagging one even did it twice back to back on me clear as day cheating in order to win. If you don't cap this that's fine. But you need killers BHVR REMEMBER THAT. You have no game with out them.

    To be straight forward I don't usually have a issue but the fact is I would rather them spam 4 back to back than unlimited though the game I don't even mind DH its the sheer fact one used it twice obviously due to cheating and double dashed out. With a limit this wouldn't have been possible.

    well the devs have consistently changed survivor perks to take priority over killer perks like how stridor now doesn't work vs iron will, so..

    Well that is just stupid maybe they shouldn't bother getting Triple A killers like Pinhead then because they are the Pinhead with these decisions. 🙄

    You're thinking a wrong perk. You don't lose STBFL once the obsession is dead. You just cannot gain or lose anymore stacks

    Well yeah I guess Ironically I wish that was how all obsession perks worked I hate losing a full progress of DL or even one stack of it can kill me when lost.

  • That is how every obsession perk gets disabled unless I am thinking the wrong perk for "STBFL"

    I agree that it doesn't motivate me. I think 250k is nothing and definetly not worth trade of reset to 20. I would prefer reset per 2-3 month with better rewards.

    Grade is just player level 2.0. Why does we have three things that tell me how much time have I wasted on this game?

    Before it was for matchmaking so it wasn't really for nothing that much and reset was only 4 ranks, not 20.

    I am weird and have need to have max grade there, so I just have a week marathon to get it, but I don't really enjoy the games during that time. After it I can just play for fun again.

    You could say it motivates me for those 5 days to grind it, well but after it I just don't care again, so I start losing on purpose.

    So 5 days motivation, 25 days 0 ######### given.

    Just show me MMR, so I have reason to stay in high MMR. Otherwise, I will just keep lowering my MMR on purpose before each reset.

    Visible MMR would solve it for me, I think it would be fun to see how high I could get without slow-down perks.

    New system is mostly for newer players less grind and this is how a ranking system should be but I do believe people should see their MMR placement.

    Perhaps my english is not right or i cannot explain it but the meaning is for 250000 points i play 10 rounds , i have all the perks and clothes i want , i have everything. It feels not right to lose all and start over again.But as i said people exept it so i play and have fun but not for rank 1 anymore because it feels for me not right to start all over again everymonth- THINKING I AM RANK 1 BUT I SEE ASH 20.......

    It literally takes no time at all if you play as much as you claim every reset to get back to red. You have everything congratulations, this change is actually to take down the grind of bloodpoints for newer players so they also may enjoy the game and I believe a complete rank reset is a real ranking system and makes the title worth more because it is consistently earned. Not just in place and then back 4 levels every 13th. Just think about it.

  • @Eli2020 said:

    This isn't under anything important because it doesn't matter, just a point that has made me unwilling and uninterested in getting into DbD further.

    First week I joined DbD it was great, played all the time, quite literally. So much so that my first altercation was someone calling me a liar about starting earlier that day and playing into the wee hours of the morning... And possibly pulling a 24 hour day to be able to keep playing. This was looking like my next obsession.

    My first toxic players were actually fellow survivors getting mad at me for skill checks on my literal first day lol No big deal if they got too ugly I do what I always do, take out the trash by blocking. Point was it didn't bother me because the game was still fun even when I died. Legit I vote on those matches and 100% thumbs up killers who wiped my whole team and didn't *at the time I thought* cheat.

    Then recently I kept getting stuck with killers I thought were breaking the rules, turns out the same things they say isn't allowed **literally listed under the report buttons** is IN FACT allowed by the Killers. Lmfao, just why? We were given the definition of the behaviour, agreed it was incorrect for fun gameplay THEN ALLOWED IT ANYWAYS LMFAO

    I have made my ticket and asked it to be looked at, doubt anything will change but there is some seriously shady business going on when at first these players were few and far in between. Now you can't escape them. This game could of been my main one and for a minute there I thought it would be.

    If the game creators do something REAL about the Killers quite literally taking advantage of game mechanics, camping, and griefing survivors ON HOOKS then I would really like to come back.

    Until then, if you're a new player and you don't have a team of friends you can talk to, this game prolly isn't for you because after a while, like I said you get nothing but poorly skilled killers with cheap tactics that suck all the fun out.

    On that note this game shouldn't be fun to only killers when there are four other players in the match.

    Play killer then come back with a education on what is REALLY fun. It is the survivors side.
