33% of players hack. The devs don't actually know it. But i've seen the discord hacker server with over 2000 active players in game hacking. People have no idea how bad it is. Worst part is dead hard was the only counter to it all. Now its "balanced" I hate the dead hard change so much.

I must admit. I am super surprised by the comments. I have some questions:
1) Do any of you 'main' survivor?
2) Are you killer mains?
3) Does anyone here play at greater then 60 ping?
4) Does anyone here think the new dead hard is a good perk?
5) Does anyone here find the new and improved dead hard works for them and its the best perk ever?
6) What would you do to change it?

Also.....they didn't touch stun recover speed from pallet stuns. The only thing related to stuns that they touched was a reduction in time from Decisive strike.
Really as I am 360'ing killers and they have save the best for last recovery rates without that perk? I'm sure I read that stun somewhere.

Also at 3 Hours - 30 minutes and 40 seconds. That should have been a hit :P meh .

They 'force' you to play the other role. Since you buy a full game and not just the survivor role
I do what I want. I aint playing a role I don't want to play. :D <3 haha.

I've always thought it was weird the that the premium rift pass doesn't have any incentives. Other games with battlepasses have bonused that reward players for having the pass. In dbd however, there is no incentive other than the cosmetics, so if you're worried you won't get to 70 to get your auric cells back, you can just wait until you get 70 then just buy the premium track and get it all back instantly. Double experience sounds a little nutty, but something small like 15% extra blood points and experience for premium owners would be nice without really being a significant push towards pay to win.
agreed!

Better yet, PERMANENT 2x EXP for absolutely no reason, how's this.
Can I give you an upvote xD

Yeah well I'd still pay for the option ;) and I have 5k hours. If you don't like it don't buy it.
Edit: And tbh people that throw around "I'll drop the game" are already looking for an excuse to drop the game. And you'd probably keep playing it anyway like you always do. "Nerf dead hard or I'll quit the game" those same people still play the game. Or the current forum feedback as of today "Nerf Nurse or Delete her"...."Or I'll Quit the game"... will you? Do they? No. Nor do I GAF. Give me the option to have double exp all the time. I am dead set tired of playing for 30 minutes for 15k to buy 2-3 perks in one blood web. Thanks you can have $$$.

Could you please clarify here? Are you saying to remove everything from brown personal BP points all the way up to Escape Cakes/Survivor Puddings? Is this for survivor and killer? Would these values be for individual gains only across all categories, or given to all survivors or all players?
given to all survivors or all players - Do not remove any offerings just the wording PERSONAL and give the BP points to everyone.
-
Spine chill is fine the way it is. Get better at the game get rank 1 killer and survivor and you quickly realise its NOT OP and you'll be crying you didn't have DS or UB.
Whats next nerf adrenaline? TO OP?

What's that got to do with prestiging a character?
and FYI: no, there is no official LGBT character in DBD yet.
thanks

But is Zarina a lesbian?
-
Does Zarina prefer men?
-
You should watch Red Scourge or Otz on youtube. They always wait dead hard out and have almost zero issues with it. Your attention should be focused on why does it take so many BP to level a killer. The BP system is terrible and should cost 50% less bloodpoints to level a killer so you can try ALL the other killers and get ALL there perks without grinding 2000 hours. Thats a better use of your time honestly <3.
-
Yes but Grim Reaper. You know yourself at 740 posts. It took years of repeating the same stuff to them. They honestly don't listen. The game is at its peak and is about to die as soon as better games come out like VHS etc who actually take in feedback. These developers designed "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked". I really don't think the staff give a stuff about this game. Sorry opinion.
-
No MMR is broken. It starts at 1100 and reaches a max of 1900 mmr. You get up to 100+ for a win and 4 for a loss or d/c. If you do really well on one killer and get 1900mmr all your other killers will start at 1700mmr. You get +20 mmr (there abouts) for 1 kill. And if you IDLE or AFK you get +0 mmr. Basically you can't derank and your forced to play at higher ranks always.
The only part that I don't know is what happens at reset. After 3 resets I'm still at full red rank lobbies on alternate characters at rank 20(bronze 4). So I suspect there is zero decrease in MMR.
-
i think you need to main survivor. Then you'll understand. You cannot understand if you only play killer.
-
I think this game might die soon if the developers don't change. Its at its peak and its a long fall down soon once better games come out.
-
They need to reduce the blood point cost for killers by 50% to make it more fun for killers. As it is - is just stupid.

…it sounds like you just started and you’re complaining that you’re not a master at it.
so you think new players should vs lobbies of 6000 hours for multiple lobbies in a row is fair?
-
I do think the 50% less BP would make it mildly better. Encourages people to experiment as well.
Another Idea: I think it would be more interesting if every web we get 6 perks up the top of the screen that ARE NOT APART of the bloodweb. And we choose 2 of them for free!
-
hey devs you looking into this? What more info do you need?
-
yes
-
hehe would be really good if they brought in more variety though!!

Its true. Ace is very good stealth but IDK I don't really like something about him.

No change in 5.0.2 :(

It'll be fixed soon then I can link it back here.

That has already been reported.
ah great to know the loadout thing super annoying
-
it wasn't tinkerer. It wasn't a perk. You can do this with zero perks.
-
dbd deleting loadouts really really annoying upon every launch. I occasionally use alt f4 to exit game as well.
-
I wish they'd fix this
-
Some good comments I can agree upon. Thank you.
-
Erk in the last 5 hours I've had it happen 8 times.

Alot of great ideas im soaking it in like a sponge. So many unique styles and I like that some people love self healing others hate it. And others love dead hard and others hate it or even DS some rank 1 hate it. Its really nice for me to see this. Cause it helps me understand as a whole different styles and builds. I need to find one that fits me.
I'm going to try decisive strike a bit more now and maybe kindred. Again I've never found a use for DS ever in like 50 games because most killers slug wait 1 minute then pick me up.

i can’t really give you a direction - since I don’t know your weaknesses/strengths or how you prefer to play.
I’m rank 1, and I have different builds on different survivors. Personally, I don’t EVER use:
- Decisive Strike: most killers tend to let DS’ timer run out before they pick up and there’s also a filthy counter (glitch) that the killer can do to waste your DS without you even using it.
- Dead Hard: worst exhaustion perk. Sure, it can help you create quick distance if you’ve caught yourself too close to the killer. But you really shouldn’t ever end up this close to the killer. I find that perks like SB, Lithe, and BL are better because they can be used more freely and interchangeably.
- Spine Chill: This is a waste of a perk because a killer could look at you accidentally but not even be going towards you and it goes off. This only really is a counter to the stealth killers but I’d still argue that it shouldn’t be used.
- Iron Will: This is just a perk that I would rather not waste a perk slot on. If the killer is dedicated, then your best bet is to just run. This perk is really situational too as you may run into a killer that doesn’t come back to hooks etc.
- Windows of Opportunity: just memorise the common locations of these. Don’t waste a perk slot on it.
- Bond: you should ideally be going for altruism by unhooking survivors and if the killer is distracted with a different survivor then you should be healing at hook.
These are some of my perk builds:
- Fengmin has Adrenalin, Lithe, Self-Care, Kindred.
- Bill has Adrenalin, Sprintburst, Borrowed-Time, Self-care
- Jane has Adrenalin, For The People, Borrowed-Time, Balanced Landing.
I think that solos or NOT - Adrenalin is always a must, there’s been plenty of times when it’s end-game and killers resort to tactics like slugging or tunnelling - where theres multiple people injured/downed and this perk always comes in clutch.
Self-Care isn’t really a must, but if you’re playing solo then you will probably be relying on it more than since as you’ve stated - relying on random survivors may not be reliable.
Borrowed-Time/Kindred I use interchangeably. With Kindred, you have information of where everyone is, if the killer is camping etc etc. It allows you to use your time wisely and not waste it. If using BT, it’s a counter to camping/tunnelling - so if someone is being a victim of it - you should definitely be trying to go for the save.
some really great advice there for me!

My favourite build right now is Kindred, Sprint Burst, Iron Will and either Borrowed Time or We’ll Make It, with a yellow med kit and a bandage add on so I can get two full heals.
I use Sprint Burst to finish unsafe gens early in the match without worrying about being caught out of position. Iron Will helps with looping and not getting tunnelled off the hook. Kindred gives me constant information about what my teammates are doing, when to go for the save vs pressuring gens, where the killer is heading after the hook, and it gives my team a better chance of coordinating a save. We’ll Make It lets me heal an unhooked teammate in 8 seconds, so they don’t waste time self caring or instantly go down again, or BT for saves against proxy campers or in the end game.
I like the fact that this build gives me survivability, but also lets me support the team as a whole. If I’m not getting injured I can use my medkit on someone else, and if the killer is good I always know where gens are being worked on and what my team are doing and how they play (bold, immersed, gen jockeys, etc.).
what rank are you at atm.
-
Noticed a lot oof people use DS. Do you guys ever find you get any use out of it? Seeing as it requires you to be hooked then saved?
Anyone have any tips for DH
-
NIce post calem I'll have to favourite that. I'm still borderline at the level I need Windows of Opportunity. Is there anything you would build to make it work? Mostly because I get a lot of team mates that dump 8 pallets in the first 20 seconds. And then I feel like I am screwed. What graphics do you guys play on?

Do you find you get use out of decisive strike? It's so rare for me.

Also the current ranking system encourages disconnects. I mean if your the type that wants to rank up and doesnt care about bloodpoints. Stuff it. Disconnect on a killer you werent going to rank up. Make their game terrible for them and others just like yours was. Thats why its important to rework this system. I'm still salty that I made 24k points and deranked on a win.

I just deranked with 24k points. 6 rescues 2 gens. Just wow why?
Its such an easy fix. Heres just one idea that I thought of in less then 60 seconds.
- You rank up for wins and derank for loss.
- Your blood points are only awarded if you score above 10,000 to 15,000 points.
- If you score less then 10,000 to 15,000 points only then you get zero bloodpoints. Also you are NOT awarded profile level up or any other reward including but not limited to Irdescent Shards.
- Each game for when a player is over 10,000 to 15,000 points it pays 5-15 Irdescent Shards Based on overall performance.
- Killer is awarded reduces points for tunneling the same player. Although they can and are welcome to Tunnel 1 player if that their strategy - they just get heavily reduced points 50% less for finding the same survivor etc. (This is really important. With this change Survivors can get their bloodpoints in other ways!!! Then won't feel as victimised for being tunneled for 5 gens, and then getting 8k bloodpoints and dieing on hook while your team walks away with 20k points for doing gens a free pip up occasionally (getting random boldness points as you run past, coop points, etc and the poor guy who ran for 5 gens deranks and gets punished. That is the current system) . I feel killers really have a lot of advantanges as it is, whether its 1 shot hatched huntress or permeant t3 myers. So honestly this isnt an issue for most killers. Just a couple that love to facecamp entire game really destroys the fun factor and makes the after game really toxic. So not giving as high a reward for this behaviour for killers is a really welcomed change.
- Optional Extra I would love to see: Players hiding suffer SOME FORM % of a points deterioration every 1 minute they don't move
- Optional Extra I would love to see: Players who repeat the same task suffer % of points deterioration every 80 seconds (1 Generator). So 2nd generator they receive 10%-25% less points. This effect or debuff is reset instantly once altruism points, boldness points, or survival points (stunning the killer is survival or full mended) has been obtained. Same applies vise versa. This encourages players to be more interactive and save team mates or interact with killer more.
- Final Change is that there is 25 Ranks. Ranks 25-20 are immune from down ranking. And every rank up takes 7 Pips with NO safety pips whatsoever. The reset on 13th is now 50%. Players can
This honestly took me 60 seconds to think of. And makes for a way more fun game. Read on and you'll see why.
Possible Concerns from others:
You may think oh but then people will just ditch people for exits who don't care about bloodpoints or Irdescent Shards. Unfortunately thats true. And do you know what? You can still do that right now. And you get rewarded for it with Blood Points and Shards. This idea I am suggesting encourages teamwork. Encourages interaction with killer. Stops rewarding bad behaviour like afking or hiding. And reduces the killer tunneling people making for a super toxic end game.
