DBD FIGHTING SPIN OFF. This is what we need!
I can see it now, all the survivors in the crowd. Dwight the referee and meg the cheerleaders who are all just meaningless fodder to kill
-
@George_Soros do you ever post anything of substance?
-
I agree

Yeah also report for m1 pressing survivors.
Sorry I know it sucks to be camped but that is a you problem. Free Deliverance sounds legit. No just no, there is also no penalty for other stuff that is toxic in the game. Killer is free to do as he/she wants. Laugh when they want to throw a game to get 1 kill.
Camping realistically results in a 4k every time. Lol. I and others like me will continue to report these game breaking killers until they are punished or the game is balanced
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Killers will just have to get used to it.
Maybe you just have to get used to it instead. 😘
No actually that will never happen. We will continue to make reports and posts until something is done to prevent the game we love from dying, do to poor decision making by the development team.
@fluffymareep said:
No, we're not making BT base-kit. The perk is too strong (especially during end game) to be something you're not wasting a perk slot on. Camping and tunneling isn't fun to face against, but we're opening a can of worms if we start banning over BM-related stuff. And reporting for things that isn't against the rules is against the rules and makes their jobs harder.
You clearly didnt read the full post. Their jobs should be harder if they arent fixing the most important issues.

Fatalities are just moris lmao

People complain, people disagree. It doesn't inherently mean this or that needs to be changed or buffed. People are really thinking they are cool when they complain to the developers about their changes, but they don't think to themselves, "Mine could be even worse."
I dont think anyone thinks they're 'cool' or doesnt think it through when they say survivor gameplay is usually a disgustingly poor experience. And BPs wont change that fact

I have had my fair share of multi-minute nurse chases. Do you know what I say to myself when a nurse doesn't down me within 30 seconds? It isn't "wow! I guess I know how to play against nurse now!" or "wow! Juking against nurse isn't so tough! Why are so many people complaining?" No. I say "it's a good thing this nurse isn't playing well."
In my opinion, Dead hard is the most CONSISTENT (key word) way to waste a Nurse's time. None of the survivors in the de-pip games had exhaustion perks. Nothing they were doing was extraordinarily special (in chases) and yet it was taking minutes to down them for most chases. That means the nurse is either not good, or not playing well.
I love the comment a little bit below yours too. "hey, zubat has 2k hours in nurse so i think it is fine he does this well with nurse." while I know it isn't realistic, I wish the forums linked to your steam account so you could just scroll past players who have never played against a real nurse.
I love your first paragraph

@blue4zion said:
It's a personal choice to have that play style, and the devs accept it as a play style.
Stop flooding their systems with useless reports so they can get to the actual issues first dude.
This is one of the major core issues for why
A) less and less people play survivor
B) the player base never increases but only stays the same
Dont make it seem less of an issue than it is. The devs accept it as a playstyle the way it is, but me and many others want more to be done about it.
@KillermainBTWm8 said:
There are many counters against this nowadays DS,BT,Kindred. It's annoying to face against but it should not be reportable for a multitude of reasons including the fact that survivors will report the killer for camping even when they aren't.
Kindred is a counter to face camping how..? Everyone knowing hes facecamping is a counter? Lmao
-
Honesty the answer is a simple yes. The killers clearly need more than a 70% 4k ratio.
Maybe when theres no one left playing the game on survivor side it can be killer vs killer. Mortal combat style.

but isnt that basically what you just said?
in your first comment you said the perk would require immediate nerfs.
but when i said you should cleanse the totems, you said it wouldnt be worth it.
with other words, you were saying that you didnt want to cleanse the totems, but also dont want to be hit by an exposed status effect.
thats all i pointed out.
EDIT: @MySpaceBarsBroken (so you get the notification)
You just said you werent going to answer with anymore comments. Now here you are.
Can I take it that you'll continue to go back on your word and contradict everything you say? Or is it just this one time. Can you clarify that much?

TL;DR: "i do not want to cleanse totems, but i also do not want to get punished for not doing it!"
This is where you began being disrespectful with your presumptuous TLDR for my post. Which was unprovoked because i was not undermining of your comments before this. I'm starting to think you just like hearing yourself talk

LOL
would you be so kind to point out the part in my posts where i started insulting you?
cause i cant find any xD
in fact: the one starting the insults were you.
now excuse me please, but i think there are better ways to spend my time that having this nonsense "debate" with you.
this leads nowhere. give me a good reason to why NOED is "not worth the time cleansing" but also "has too good effects and should be nerfed" - which was the double standart you brought up yourself btw - and we can continue the debate. dont do so and please dont expect me to answer to your posts anymore.
If you stop deleting and re-editing your posts maybe I will

guess i struck a nerve there, didnt i?
the fact that you just immediately skipped to insults rather than argumentation only shows that you have no counter argument to mine and know im saying the truth.
you came up with that doublestandart, not me. i just happened to point it out.
and here are a few fun facts about me:
yes, i am a killer main. but thats not because i think killer is easier or anything like that, its just that i enjoy the gameplay a lot more. i do play survivor from time to time.
funnily enough, even though i always defend the perk, i never use it on the killers i leveled - who have alterantives. thats partly because i dont wanna get ######### on by every survivor out there, but mostly because i believe there are better alternatives to the perk, e.g. Bloodwarden. NOED imo is a meh tier perk (which is also why i keep defending it - ITS NOT THAT STRONG!)
I'm just trying to follow your structure in commenting. You start by attacking the user personally, then go into your biased views that are all dependent on strawman fallacy logic. I'd rather you keep it short so I dont have to read that much nonsense lol
-
Theres no counterplay for nurse.
You just make moves and pray that she makes a mistake. It's entirely in the killers control.
-
@Mister_xD said:

TL;DR: "i do not want to cleanse totems, but i also do not want to get punished for not doing it!"
TLDR "I clearly only play killer and I run noed every game! I want my kills to continue to be spoonfed to me! Noed is fair🤓"
At minimum, the speed increase needs to be removed. There should be an immediate notification for all survivors that the killer has noed. And there should be a timer on how long it lasts, similar to haunted ground.
-
I'm just gonna be blunt about this one.
No one cares.
BHVR will never punish this and they never will. They have mountains of problems. Giving players another way to report each other is not going to happen
-
@MySpaceBarsBroken said:
Dbd is like a poorly paved highway.
The highway represents map, pallets, vaults. It's the structure and core foundation of our game!!
Cars are killers. They have to obey the laws of the highway.
Nurse is an airplane.
Who the ######### is going to drive on the highway when you can just choose the plane....
Nuff said first time 'round. Nurse has no counterplay. End of story. If you think you're good and you know the perfect strategy that you do it all the time to counter nurse... sorry to burst your bubble... but counter playing nurse is just whether or not the nurse makes mistakes. Has nothing to do with you little guy

@MySpaceBarsBroken aaand you completely forgot to mention the part where survivors can prevent it from activating by simply cleansing some totems ^^
dont worry, i gotcha. we dont wanna forget anything here, do we? :D
This doesnt balance it, since finding all 5 totems by yourself isnt plausible on half the maps and the time wasted looking for them is far beyond a reasonable time to counter the perk.
-
The Factual Truth:
Noed is single handedly the strongest killer perk by far.
Noed is currently a huge crutch for killers (you can easily get a 4k with the game starting with the gates powered.)
The perk itself is overpowered, and needs a massive rework/nerf. Sooner rather than later since its crippling the game.
It involves an incredibly low amount of skill and takes away from the fun, and the integrity of the game suffers.

Yeah I honestly can't say the animations seem like a big deal. It just sounds like you need to take losing less seriously. It's 12 seconds, it's not the end of the world.
Please dont derail my topic. It's purely about skipping animations. Not disconnecting. You can do that on your own time or in another post.
@Gardenia said:
I would like this change as well. Just because it's 12 seconds and not a big deal doesn't mean it can't be changed. In fact it should be the easiest to change.
It's an easy and simple quality of life change. We deserve to have some interface optimizations. You dont need a whole dbd development team for that.

If it's in the game, bad or good, it will be used. You can not justify disconnecting in a multiplayer game only because the game is not fun for you.
The most i can see is a forfeit option for survivors which allows them to leave the game if 4 survivors have already been in dying state without unbreakable equipped on any. This is not the same thing as leaving because you are the last survivor left in EGC. It's basically a way of taking the loss earlier, so that you don't have to suffer boring monitor. You would gain your BP like normal. Killer also would gain the BP that he would normally do, and a quitter bonus to make up for what BP they could have gained with specific killers like increasing madness with Doctor while slugging.
That is not the same as disconnecting to an iridescent head, doctor, nurse, spirit, simply anything that is not fun for you at any point in the game.
I know it's very boring, but disconnecting is just being inconsiderate of everyone in the trial. Same thing goes with not playing the game (basically afk.)
Sandbagging and similar exploits are devs fault. All i can say is be vigilant, and report.
I like using bold font too sometimes. Makes me feel special.
There are many more things that are much more inconsiderate than just disconnecting.
-
@MrSunbro said:
I mean it's 12 seconds, are you really THAT impatient?
It's more than that, and yes. I don't see anything wrong with asking for a simple interface addition.

Lol ok. Disconnecting from a game is always bad for the other players who actually play the game. This is worse than bias; it's being selfish for allowing players to dc because they have been behaving well for few games.
This isnt always true, when your survivor friends are trapping you in a corner or the killer is farming and you dont want to. Maybe hes slugging you or dropping you a bunch to troll you. Theres a multitude of reasons for disconnecting that are good reasons imo. I don't feel the devs are right on that point. That's all. No hostility

So, again, you don't have an argument. It doesn't matter what your opinion of the devs and their rules is. It is their game to make the rules for and you agreed to follow them or suffer the consequences when you check, "I agree" to the ToS when you first loaded up the game.
They are wrong, and not very intelligent. That's why their game has never grown in its player base. At best they're consistent. Trust. Look at the state of this game. Its dying. The community is dwindling and this is all that's keeping it afloat. Wake up
-

Oh no? Feel free to share where the devs said that and which instances aren't breaking the rules.
Its truth. Idc what anyone says. The devs dont know what's best for their game. They're proven that much
-
@Tzeentchling9 said:
How is getting banned for breaking the rules unjust?
Disconnecting from a game isnt always breaking the rules.
-
The game is absurdly broken the way it is. I am talking present tense. No hypotheticals. A karma system now would help greatly, right now. But all the other issues you want to tall about... matchmaking and such is all independent from this issue. Of course you can make an argument like that but I'm going to be sitting here all day if you expect me to hash out every aspect of the game you decide to use against me. I'm suggesting a karma system, and it would work to decentivise disconnecting, and prevent many unjust bans.

Well if I am the only survivor at rank 17 (killer main here lol) and I queue against purple ranks I alreadly don't think that the game is capable of matching people who are at my rank AS WELL as putting them into category based on karma.
Also, nothing on the other point?
That's why the game needs more than a lot of work. This is necessary imo but matchmaking still needs to work in order for this to even be attempted. And I dont see any other point worth arguing
-
@Rouge said:
Alright then. I'll really spell it out.
The system is tailored to better players, if you know how to play better then most they you will likely do more objectives and win more, making you go up in karma.
This would increase matchmaking times as it adds just another layer that the system will have to look through before putting people into matches. In a game where you will already be put in games with people being 6-9 ranks ahead of you and now their karma matters too. Whats going to happen if you are the only rank 18 in the really good side of karma? Do you just play with the other really good players who higher ranks then you? Or do you just match with the toxic people who are de-piping and waiting for resets to remain at rank 20?
The whole issue is your premise. Sure you have a point that the matchmaking is incredibly poor. But Id hope you would never be the only good karma player at rank 18, ever. The game will probably be long dead if that's the case

Reputation matters little to none, as you can see with outbursts happening in 20% of the endgame chats.
Whether it's worth the effort is not simply a yes or no.
If camping is said to not be worth it, people aren't just gonna stop camping.
They're not related, but the same applies here, they're gonna do it.
I agree, and its unfortunate

This originally felt like a logical conversation but now it just feels like you are ignoring some of my main points like some of the side effects I put in the very first post on your thread that you kinda just ignored.
Your first post on my other topic went around in circles. I'm not spending all my time trying to decipher it if you cant make it clear. I'm still having a logical conversation. It's just being overwhelmed by multiple stubborn and closed opinions which is fine.
-
@Rouge said:

100% agree here, if you disconnect from a match that is on you. Unless we are adding "disconnect reasons" after every disconnect that the other people can vote on I don't see a way this system could work.
Go play rank 15 survivor for a few hours. Make sure to go against a couple of lagswitchers. Come back with your list of valid reasons for disconnecting. Because you're trying to be sarcastic but you're 100% right about there being a list of reasons worth disconnecting from a Dbd game
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/588478#Comment_588478
If that's the first one you've seen, then you should go back and actually read the rest of the comments. At least half a dozen problems were listed.
None of them followed my premise or were fallacial/irrelevant. The problems pertaining to the voting aspect of karma are true but dismissed entirely since we dropped that idea
-
You're all getting hung up on the part where players can vote on each others karma. This doesnt have to be included what so ever. Or maybe include it for players 2k+ karma? Either way, forget that part because it has a lot of issues I'm not prepared to work out on paper
-
@Boss said:
This could make it so some Killers will want to remove their karma to get to low-karma Survivors who will DC on eachother, making for easier matches, or resulting in more DCs, resulting in a DC victory.
The first actual problem I've read opposing my theory and suggestion. Agreed, that is definitely something that would probably happen. But unless the killer keeps leaving and destroying his/her reputation, this wont really be worth the effort
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/588465#Comment_588465
There's only one category of valid reasons for disconnecting, and that's when something in the real world requires your attention.
Lmao I'd hope anything related to real life is more important than a game. Please use logic in your arguments rather than fallacies that sound good to you
-
@Seanzu said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/588454#Comment_588454
100% agreed, and if someone has a bad match no one should feel obligated to report for someones "behaviour" in match.
Killers would be getting de-karmad based on NOED, Ruin etc
While Survivors would get de-karmad based on Using certain items, looping etc.
Not every player senselessly votes so this would be less significant than you make it seem. Regardless. Ignore the part about voting other people. It's still a valid system.
-
@Rouge said:
Even after explanation I really don't see how adding karma ontop of this would make it simpler for the moderators. The way I see it from a mods perspective would be "Hey this user has 115 karma, let's go check it out." vs "Hey this users disconnected 6 times out of their last 15 games, lets go check it out."
The fact of disconnect ratios would be better then a 50% community generated 50% objective-completion/disconnect number would make it easier to sort though people that the system would flag.
Side note: You still haven't tackled the other things I said about the system in my other comment.
Disconnect ratio is less accurate since people disconnect for a multitude of valid reasons, as stated earlier. Restate your question here if it's on this topic
-
@MonsterInMyMind said:
Honestly this is a horrible design because you rely on people to rate each other fairly thats not how it works man maybe in other games it works but dbd nah this wouldnt work to many babies.
If you read the entire post, you're simply wrong. It doesnt rely on people to vote on each other. That's just a partial addition to affect karma. Not the main one whatsoever. In fact you can just remove that part and it would still be a functioning system
-
@Orion said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/588445#Comment_588445
Except they've literally said they leave because they can.
Who said that? Every disconnecter? Lmao. You can compare the rate of disconnect from this game to any other game with integrity and a working punishment system. The disconnect rate is much higher in dbd. So is it just a toxic community..? No. It's more complicated than you're perceiving it to be.
-
@Tzeentchling9 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/588402#Comment_588402
The reasons for disconnecting are so common and vast because there are no reprecussions to DCing. If any little thing annoys someone, they can just leave because it doesn't matter. Once you start introducing penalties to weigh against such behavior, those reasons suddenly become less important.
You think people disconnect purely for that reason? That's not very open minded or logical. People dont leave because they can. They leave because something is happening in the game to invoke extremely discomfort and unenjoyable experience, so much so that they bite the bullet of screwong their team and leave.

I think you are missing the point that I said, if we had mods that were available to check this sort of stuff then why would we need to add karma since we already have a reporting system and likely a way to track DCs. With the idea you have put forth I think the karma system would just be kinda tacked on, since we would already have moderators.
You're missing the point. Why have a team of moderators to handle an ocean of issues? When you can have a smooth automated system that the community feels like they're actually participating to effectively make the game a better place. (Reporting now doesnt mean a damn thing without video evidence.) Or just have a very small group that only has to deal with the smoothly funneled players that are the worst of the community
