And that's why I stopped playing Chucky. He was fun but what you described was every other game for me :(
-
Not interested. I think it will be a fad: it's popular for a few months and then dies. Since there is only one killer and a handful of survivors, it lacks the replayability found in the only asymmetric horror game that has stood the test of time, Dead by Daylight.

Not too sure but apart from having the usual strength and speed, Art the Clown has Reality warping abilities like Freddy. He also has The Little Pale Girl. Who can do cool things such as shapeshift and voice mimicry which would be amazing.
Oh I actually didn't know that. I've never watched Terrifier so I really have no idea what his power could be.
-
I definitely think tutorials would be nice as well, having to look up how every killer power works was quite annoying for me. The new stuff they added w/ Chorus of Sin was nice, but a playable guide for each killer would be great. But personally, I think that balance is a key issue. Freddy especially has a very unique and fun power, but he never gets used because he's so weak. Same with Singularity, Dredge, Houndmaster, and several others.
-
Idk, I don't think it would balance the game but it would make boons interesting. Also, one thing that could be interesting, a perk that lets Killers relight Hexes.
-
I may be a little biased since Vecna is my main…

dash + blink + projectile + teleport + hinder + haste + block windows + exposed + undetectable + mori on second stage , pick some then you made one good killer
I actually disagree with that, killers are better when they're unique.
-
And I actually have a poll to see if anyone wants Roy in the game:
-
MIDWHICH! I hate that map.

how would you put blair witch into a game when The Blair Witch in question isn't even directly a part of the movies? not hating just curious how you think that could come about
There's a game in which the thing hunts you. Also thee could be some cool mechanic where you never actually see the creature, it could appear as like anomalies or something? IDK, but now I'm interested. I'll write up a concept…
-
I have one concept I've spent a while on:
The Dad (Roy - DHMIS)
HEIGHT: Average-Short
SPEED: Slow (110%)
TERROR RADIUS: 30m (I think that's average, if it's not whatever average TR is)
POWER: Executive Producer
Hold M2 to hold up the clipboard and LCTRL to select the Lesson, then press M1 to Teach it. When you Teach a lesson, it is gone until restored, Lessons do not recharge automatically.
Lessons:
Creativity - Place a closed Sketchbook on the ground. When a Survivor walks near it, you can teleport to it and gain faster speed for 60 seconds, changing form into the creepy Yellow Guy from S1E1.
Time - Tony appears at the gen with the most survivors on it. All Survivors cannot move and have constant Killer Instinct pings for 5 seconds.
Love - Roy transforms into Shrignold, losing terror radius but gaining a 15m lullaby (love song). He also gains fast movement speed (130%). He transforms back when he downs a survivor.
Computers - Teleport a downed survivor into another realm where they have to play a (easy) fnf style minigame. Every 3 mistakes gives a hook state. When the song is completed, they reappear in the Realm.
Health - Spawns 2 small, loud objects (bread and spinach can) and one Ai killer (steak) that all sing the health song. Survivors downed by the AI killer give Killer Instinct pings. After 1 down, these objects and AI killer disappear.
Dreams - blocks all pallets for 10 seconds. Larry the lamp appears on top of them, kicking his feet.
SPECIAL INTERACTION: Creative Stations
Six Creativity Stations (clown paintings) spawn around the map. Roy can interact with them to regain one lesson of his choice. Survivors can interact with them to sabotage them, leaving them uninteractable for 60 seconds.
PERKS
Green is not a Creative Color - Each time the Obsession misses a skill check, you gain Killer Instinct on them for 15 seconds. Each time you hook the Obsession, you become Obsessed with another Survivor.
Hex: June 19th - At the start of a match, a Dull Totem ignites. Whenever you kill or sacrifice a Survivor, all Survivors return to their starting positions.
Sitting Duck - the Killer can see the aura of Survivors with crows circling them. While they have crows circling them, Survivors gain exposed.
MORI
The Survivor stands, terrified, and Roy slowly places a hand on the Survivor's shoulder. Then, the screen glitches out. When it comes back on, we see a giant duck can eating the Survivors intestines, shoveling them into his mouth. The camera slowly zooms on Roy, then glitches out again. When Roy puts his hand on the Survivor and the screen glitches out, from the outside instead of seeing the giant can they see a cardboard box with "Mori Box" crudely drawn inside. Instead of the Survivor's body appearing after, a stack of canned duck appears instead. -

the nails were put in this coffin when the Unknown came out IMO but I (thankfully) quit League of Legends years ago and still think about the generally awesome horror design behind Fiddlesticks, one of the cooler horror designs from an otherwise non-horror game I have ever seen
Really? I like Unknown and some of the killers after him are fun as hell (my main is the lich)
-
none of these. none really seem like they'd be good additions. I'd say the ones I want most are Pennywise (it) and Roy (DHMIS). Blair Witch would fit too.
-
I mean it'd be interesting but wouldn't really fit the dbd vibe. Then again, I also really want Roy from DHMIS in the game so I can't really talk about that

Afton.

I was told to play it by a friend. I bought it since I love horror films. After that I just got hooked (pun intended).

One odd one was Earnest : Scared stupid. Like mentioned in the post I would find it laughable today but the troll turning kids into little sculptures was intimidating.
Then there was a movie called The Gate, pretty rare to see nowadays but the entire thing is on youtube. Probably my favorite horror movie.
Another memorable mention was the Tiki man from Trilogy of Horror. Chases the woman around her appartment and she can't figure out a way to kill it.
Then i dunno if u've heard of a movie called Creepshow by Stephen King, but that was another movie with multiple short movies, the one that branded itself into my memory for over 2 decades without even knowing what the movie's title was, was the part with the teens going on a raft and they get attacked by a sentient black acidic sludge that picks them off and dissolves them one by one with similar effects to The Blob.
And lastly one that also took me many years to figure out the name but remembered the dolls in it quite well, was Puppetmaster. That one with the drill head creeping around the house going after people's ankles lol I never forgot that guy (got the whole collection not even realising there were like 9 movies lol)
Yes! Someone else watched the gate! That was the first horror movie I've ever watched, and it terrified me when I was young. Just don't rewatch it. It DOES NOT hold up.
-
I just like the aesthetic. The actual power was interesting but not a great delivery. And nobody likes that stupid nerf.
-
I don't really keep count, but I know that on the first couple days after CoS launched I almost exclusively played Judgements (this was PWYW, I'm a Killer main). Now it's starting to open up more, but I am seeing way more Nemos than normal

Do people hate Chucky? I imagine that's either just less experienced survivors have difficulty playing around his size, or maybe because I've gotten a decent amount of tunneling Chuckys? Either way I don't think Chucky is that hated, you're chill with me daps up
A lot of my surv main friends get annoyed with Chucky's size and stealth. He's just kinda annoying to play against. Also daps up

I think Azathoth is probably the most terrifying lol, as for the favorite story : The Temple. Which had the German submarine crew.
Nice. For me the scariest is prolly Hastur, if you don't count him since he was added by Derleth I'd prolly say Yog-Sothoth. Favorite story is The Mound (the one with the underground race and the headless ghost)

I have, it’s still my favorite solo indie horror game to this day.
I lowkey listen to the soundtrack outside of the game

gonna be honest i think Chucky needs some better add ons. i used to main him
Yeah, you're right. He has some good ones, but one that makes Scamper not useless would be nice.

Yeah, I'm a huge Lovecraft fan. What's your favorite story? What "god" do you think is the most terrifying?
Also nice deal. That thing normally costs $30-$50

SM is not as bad as everyone says. If somebody is very, very good at her, they can manage a 4K. Well, this was back when I first started, and my team was like all bots, so maybe it doesn't count
-
I'm a Chucky (yes, I know you hate me now, surv mains) and Vecna (Lich) main, so I'm in a pretty good spot. I'd say Vecna's A Tier and Chucky's upper B Tier so I just voted A Tier.

Judgement is one of my favorite killers aesthetic wise. Mechanically… she needs some work.

I haven't watched the movies but I know about that bag and maybe he will get random abilities in the bag every 30 seconds or after hooking that can be used a few times or once and he can look in the bag at any time and choose the thing like vecna does.
Probably he would be very strong and survivors would get something against him, something like a flamethrower on xeno but to weaken art the clown in some way.
A random ability every 30 sec is actually a really cool idea. it would make matches very chaotic and would prolly be one of the most fun killers in the game. tbh though im kinda scared to see what his mori(s) would be…
-
If you haven't yet, try playing Daniel Mullins's Inscryption. Unforgettable game, one of the better stories in any game I've played.
-
i'm not sure. how would you present that aesthetic wise? also i really hope they don't do that, vecnas like the most unique killer
-
I actually hadn't noticed. But now that I think about it… I can see what you mean. For me, it's not too bad, but yeah the devs are prolly going to patch it out. I'm a chucky main, and he's still really fast, so it might not apply to all killers…
