I'd kill for a ghostface map of the house from the first movie, or even the university from the 2nd one. also, what about a map for ash as well? Like the convenience store or something?

Okay, so i'm someone who plays a lot of games with BP (I mean most games have them nowadays anyway) and I think this is the only game where I feel like the grind is just not worth it for the most part.
Call of Duty Cold War: 100 tiers, I did this in about 30 days or less, there are no challenges to do for the pass. was super easy to do even with me joining in late. (30 days or so)
Rainbow Six Siege: 100 tiers, I'm still partially working on this as I had a minor mishap with my Laptop. each level is 1000 points, they have weekly challenges that give you 850 points. so if you're doing you're challenges, and there's about 4 a week, and you're almost guaranteed to complete the BP easily. You can get at least two or three lvls knocked out through just minimal playtime everyday if you're doing just the challenges. (About 50 days out of 80 if you're not playing often or if you run into difficulties like I did)
Apex Legends: This is one of the more grindy BP for me. I have a lot of trouble with this one, but here's the thing, that's because I don't play this game very often. They have one or two challenges that are re-doable. deal 5k damage was the challenge I kept doing to lvl up last season. and they have quite a few challenges that release periodically up until a certain point. (No idea, joined into a season late and still made it about half way)
Dead by Daylight: My friend was grinding the last rift so hard and even with all challenges done, it took them literally FOREVER to finish out those last few levels. I feel like one thing to fix this would be that you should gain more fragments as you progress. so instead of only getting one fragment, once you get to a certain point, maybe every ten or so lvls add to the rift fragments. so 0-9 1 frag. 10-19 2 frag. 20-29 3 frag. and it can stop when you get to like 5 frag. it's just that only being 1 fragment is literally HORRIBLE.
[Not to mention, half the cosmetics are from DBD Mobile (free cosmetics, or that were given in the little mystery boxes). So, Icey trapper, blue snow Claudette, the red meg outfit with the purple bob hair, the red Christmas cosmetic for Dwight? All of those are dbd mobile outfits. all of them were free. all of them, besides megs, are in your wardrobe to begin with. think about that for a minute. this bp specifically is not worth it.]
ps. sorry for the rant, i just really hate the bp/rift this 'season'

Okay, so admittedly I'm a survivor main, though I play killer from time to time because it's fun and the wait times can be much shorter.
One thing survivors do that I will never understand: Hiding in basement locker when they're injured and someone is on hook. I understand wanting to go for the save, the issue with that being that 1. you probably left a blood trail so its easy dubs, 2. you're not running head on so you cant stun the killer, 3. when you let the person on hook die and stay there until you collect crows, but you're not afk because you struggle before being hooked.
I will never understand the people who do that. It's probably less prominent in higher ranks (I would hope, but its dbd) but while i've been trying to rank up it's becoming increasingly frustrating, as a surv and killer.

While I think that suiciding on first hook is literally garbage, I've had to do it once or twice.
- I'm in a position where I cannot physically finish the match. I can run a pretty tight schedule sometimes with my classes and often the queue into a match lands right at the time I need to go to class. Or my mom calls me for dinner. I usually try to finish the match but its not always possible for me.
- If I have been working on generators for the entire time I've been in the match and there's only the one or two I've done myself, and the others are no where in sight. This doesn't cause to suicide immediately, but if I see someone get hooked and see everyone crouching everywhere or hiding in lockers or trying to immediately unhook, I will debate it because they're not doing the objectives, they're not playing the game, they're playing Crouch Simulator 2021. And also, whenever they get on gens and immediately pop it like 2 or more times consecutively when you had it over half done it's just.... I don't wanna be there...
-
Totally agree. I hate to bring it up, but when you prestige on the mobile version I believe you get 10 auric cells for p1, 15ac for p2 and like 20ac for p3. Also, certain challenges offer Ac. I would love to see that come to the console/pc version.

I haven't been able to be around when firecrackers are around, but they look really cool. Saw a claudette use them the other night. I think it would be pretty neat to see them even as maybe a yellow rather than a brown if only to make them a bit more rare than that.
-
I think it's probably just because I do the best as her, but I love pig! I love that she's really easy to use normally (stabby mode) or to be friendly with (memes galore). I think Myers and Ghostface would be close seconds just because of the way they function.
-
I had a similar experience on I believe Blood Lodge/Azarovs. Once when I was the killer and once as a survivor. Both times we just could not for the life of us find the map. Eventually I got hooked and then the next time I let the survivor open the gate. Still to this day am confused about where the hatch spawned.
-
I haven't had too many issues with revealing gf on pc, it can be a bit harder but it still works for me for the most part. What's worse is it is entirely too sensitive on the mobile version. they seriously need to tweak his revealing mechanics for both though.

Kindred and We'll Make It.
Kindred because teammates don't use it at all.
-They sit around doing nothing while you're on hook.
-They all hookbomb at the same time instead of 2 working on gens/1 on gen and one chased and one unhooking.
-They all come around to crouch around the hook when the Killer is camping. You end up dying someone probably ends up immediately hooked afterwards and they've made 0 progress on gens.
-They don't save you. One guy is running around being chased by the killer and the other two sit on gens while you die on the hook.
We'll Make It because so many of my teammates wave me off so they can self-care. I save them, try to heal them. They keep cancelling the heal and run into a corner. I try to heal them there and they keep cancelling the heal and point me away. I start walking away and they start to self-care. Happened way too much and I just stopped bringing it.
dang, i'd love to have teammates that use those perks. Its so annoying when people run off and wont let you heal them. I use kindred as well, and I feel you, I hate when there's a clear opportunity to get you and they leave you until 2nd stage or death.
-
Honestly, I just recently went back to using it, but its (cringe) urban evasion. I know, I swear I don't crouch around the map, it's just that I always encounter Hags when I play, not to mention the fact that I do rely heavily on stealth mechanics since i'm not the greatest at looping, but only when the killer is near. No point in crouch walking if its not essential.
-
If the killer had a rough game, or was nice, i usually stick around for free hits. Might as well let them get some BP 🤷🏻♀️

Playing is not being a jerk.
Hell, "tunneling" isn't being a jerk.
There is no survivor handbook for killers, and there is no unspoken code of conduct you need to uphold. If you want to mori people, eat every decisive, or slug the entire team you should be prepared to be judged, but you didn't do anything wrong.
Its just that ive been having crappy killers and dont want that experience for them during the event.
-
Survivor:
Nea - Night out hair, black jeans from the 80s suitcase dlc, and i reallllllyyyy want the leather jacket. Until then its the regular black shirt from 80s suitcase.
Jake - classic og hair, patch and buttons shirt from 80s and then just whatever pants.
(I long to buy the blighted/shiny cosmetics for him + cowboy hat🤠)
Killer:
Wraith: i dont have it but that opera skin is just😍
Plague: the red gold dress recolor is 10/10 chefs kiss.
-
PERKS:
Adrenaline
Kindred
Iron will
Prove thyself/spine chill if you need it or any perk of your choice.
CHARACTER:
Feng min, prestiege 1&2 cosmetics. Or the white shirt+purple sweater/black skinny jeans cosmetics.
Any item is game except flashlights😎
-
For me looping is fun because i either win or lose, im not very good at looping so it makes md happy when i do it right.
I do occasionally play stealthy games, but not extreme immersion. Its better for me to be the gen jockey that I am given my lack of looping skills lmao.

Bp interchangable
Perk slots open at 1,5,10,15
Those 4 and bill on steam if you own left for dead
Current tome is the only one that gives fragments or has a rift, once the rift is closed its gone but the tomes challenges and bp they awards stay
Now, is this a bad idea:
I plan on playing killer at first and then using that bp to level up my survivors, just so i can get my usual build on them right from the start. Is that a bad idea? I play both killer and surv, but usually play more survivor so i'd like to have that ready to go as soon as I can.
Thoughts?
Not a bad idea because killers usually get more bp, your best bet is to buy leatherface, get bbq unlocked, play your favorite killer with bbq and grind out the survivor perks you want
Thank you.
Do you know which Left 4 Dead game specifically? Cause i can buy it and get game+bill and that seems good to me tbh😅

Okay, if it makes you feel better you can unlock The Spirit for free with shards. You get these through levelling up your account.
So, you know how you unlock perks in the bloodweb? Well, you can purchase Teachable varients at levels 30, 35, and 40 (depending on perk level), and can prestige once you reach level 50. The Teachable version of a survivor's second and third perks don't appear before you've purchased the first perk, which is something to note. For example, you couldn't unlock Dead Hard (David King, level 35) without first unlocking We're Gonna Live Forever (David King, level 30), or unlock Self Care (Claudette Morel, level 40) without getting Empathy (level 30) and Botany Knowledge (level 35).
Anything else you need, or if that wasn't clear, let me know. :)
Okay, that helps, and i'll probably grind for spirit, and buy halloween dlc for christmas or something.
-
I've personally never done it, but sometimes it can be accidental as stated by Gay Myers^ but some do it to I think its called "dumb tech" or something like that. I personally don't see the point of doing it on purpose, so right there with ya bud.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Someone's already answered this but I want to as well so here we go.
- Yes, they are. Capped at 1 million.
- You start with all 3 unique perks unlocked at level 1, with 1 perk slot available. The rest unlock at levels 5, 10, and 15.
- Since you're talking about your laptop, I assume we mean the Steam version with no DLCs. In this case, you get the following characters to begin with: Dwight Fairfield, Meg Thomas, Claudette Morel, Jake Park, Nea Karlsson, David King, The Trapper, The Wraith, The Hillbilly, The Nurse, and The Huntress.
- Old Tomes will give you bloodpoints for completing challenges but no fragments; only the Tome linked to the current Rift will do that one. For example, we're moving into Rift V, so only challenges from Tome V will grant fragments.
Some other things that are different between Mobile and everywhere else:
- Characters do not share an inventory; items, add-ons, and offerings you unlock on one character are exclusive to that one character. For example, getting a Sport Flashlight on Claudette doesn't let you use it on David, or getting an Ebony Memento Mori on Trapper doesn't let you use it as Nurse.
- Characters level up with the bloodweb. AFAIK on Mobile you level up through playing as them, on here it's completely different. You also don't get perks from leveling up (technically you do but it's different).
- There is no Bloodmarket. It's instead replaced with the Bloodweb, where you spend points on inter-connecting Nodes instead of going up different tiers. The Bloodweb is how you unlock Perks, Items, Offerings, and Add-Ons.
Also in terms of your bad idea, I'd say not really. Make sure you're comfortable with the killers, though, and you spend your fair share of points on them, but using those points to then level up your survivors seems good. I say be comfortable because don't go in after having played nothing but Wraith expecting to be a good Nurse.
I think that's it but feel free to quote/tag me if you need anything else. :)
Okay, thank you so much!
I was aware of the difference with how leveling up works (blood web seems much better tbh) but its nice to know I got it right. And thank you for listing the base characters, I mainly play Trapper,Myers, and Spirit though, so I'll have to buy Myers and Spirit Lol.
And thank you for explaining the tomes a bit, the blood points will be a big help to begin with if I can grind some of those out.
Also, how do you technically unlock the teachable perks? For mobile they unlock when you reach 20, 30, 40 but how does it work for Pc? Is it through leveling up, or do you have to do other stuff?
Again, thank you for all the help!

@MeltingPenguins said:
- yep.
- 1, 5, 10 and 15 iirc
- depends on your playstyle, really. beware that on pc/console there's probably much more hate towards certain characters, especially claudette, nea and meg.
- fragments are only for the current tome, but the old tomes still give BP
And I'd say if you have people to play with, play some custom matches to practice killers first.
Good luck <3
Ooh, thank you.
Also, big rip to my girl nea.
I think I could gather a few people from discord to do some practice with. (Whenever it is i get a new laptop, imo😅)

- If 36GB is what its showing, then it must be the base game size of it.
- I use F for the struggling phase, and that's about it. But if you have a gaming mouse and you have those 2 buttons on the side of it, some people use the left-most side-button for skill checks.
- I say start with David, just so you get We're Gonna Live Forever. Level up everyone you have to 40 (to get all Teachables) and then only keep leveling up your main. If you want Prestige 3, then do your main first, and then start getting all the perks. It's a long road, but it's possible.
- Generally, PC/Console players are really toxic. Much more toxic than on the mobile version.
- Yes, they do.
- I don't know, I hope someone else can answer this for you!
Thank you for your help! I have a standard logitech mouse (it might have side buttons for scrolling). I'l definitely look into leveling up david first then!

Have you seen the hexes on Lery's? You cant find those as is, let alone the ones that are actually in use, and now you wanna make them all "dull"???? Sir, no. Just, no.

Someone suggested that Trappers mori be him putting their head in one of the bear traps.
As for Wraith and Billy, I don't know what would be good alternatives. I do think they need to be reworked though I likely doubt they will be.

No. They're all exhaustion perks i.e. they all share a cooldown. Adrenaline will activate even if you're under exhausted status effect but it also resets the countdown.
Ah, ok, thank you!

Oni is not currently IN game, but him and Yui (the cursed legacy pack, really) are said to be coming out this month. Speculations are that it could be from the 21st-27th. Alongside some map reworks. Also, there is an official DBD Mobile discord, I can send you the link if you want it, its better to get info from there.

I tend to go understated with colors (not invisible, trust me killers find me just fine)
Hair doesn't matter much since....yeah she needs better hair. But i like the Biker jacket and Baggy denim pants combo, from different outfits but they work really well together.
Oh, that sucks that you have to grind for the cosmetics again😓
Ooh, that sounds like a good combo🤩

Nea needs more head cosmetics that don't have half her head shaved :(
The baseball cap ones (really long hair on one side and what I assume os shaved on the other) is atrocious. I do like the ones like her neon purple harujuku hair, and the two base hairs (beanie, and messy hair).
It is safe to say she does indeed need more hair/heads.

I actually like they we don’t have outfits for her that dramatically deviate from her time period, and clearly represent that she was devout and revered.
Though I think she’d probably fit well in the Greek legends collection, so I’m surprised there isn’t a cosmetic for her in that.
When I saw her for the first time I was like "Medusa cosmetic" or somethijg akin to it. I want it so bad, but its unlikely😓

Ps, I like Nea's blue/black denim vest and the blue tartan skirt. They look nice, femme punk.

You'd think the gaping wounds survivors are receiving each match combined with the blood getting splattered everywhere would be a bigger cause for concern. Plus look at how derelict those gens/gates/lockers/vaults are.
We all know what the real killer of DbD would be: Tetanus.
If we're bring open wounds/blood onto it, then at least one person has aids and could probably give it to someone else.
In conslusion, they're all gonna die from something other than the killers.😐

If it makes you feel any better I still cry when playing fnaf.
I'm 10/10 very thankful that Hag doesn't do a zoom in of her face and scream when the traps trigger.
I have trouble with a lot of audio+vusual jumpscares. Seperately they're fine, together they make me a ball of anxious crying😅
-
Last minute saves/kills.
Like, as a survivor, I'm always so thrilled when we get a last minute save and make it out together.
As a killer, there's nothing more satisfying than pulling someone off the gate and hooking then, especially when it's death hook🤩😍
-
Haha, can't say I get jumpy when they get triggered, but I do find them incredibly annoying. I always seem to be the one running over them. Makes me wanna cry more than it scares me tbh😅
-
This just makes me think of running Iron will, Calm Spirit, De ja vu, Premonition, AND No One left behind😍🤩
Its a crappy build, but hot diggity dang I want it. I'm sacrificing De ja vu rn, and it H U R T S me soooo much😭
-
From my understanding, if you go through a trial, whether you escape or die, you lose the item you brought in.
(With the exception of any items recovered from chests during that trial.)
-
(I think I know what you're talking about, i'm on mobile so it might be different.)
So, I assume you mean in the bloodweb/store where you can buy things with BP.
You have to buy a certain number of items, or just certain items, to get to the next row, imo. When you move on to the next row it will lock the row before it, and will say something along the lines of "taken by the entity" so just make sure you're buying everything you want from each row before moving on to the next. that should solve your problem unless its something else. hope this helps.
-
I've only been playing a bit and Killer can be rough. So, heres a few suggestions
1. Find a killer best for your play style. That seems like a no brainer, but hey, some people don't realize that the killer and their play style don't meshwell.
2. Play survivor, get a feel for what you see can be done to prevent/hender your chances of escaping. Apply that to killer.
3. Just because you saw someone else do it, doesn't mean you should/can. This applies mostly to builds. Those perks may not work best for you, so feel out for what does and doesn't work. Imo.
4. Learn to mind game a bit, and run perks that give away survivors places, like Spies (crows give a visual when disturbed) or whispers (the entity gives you auditory cues when you get close to a surv)
Those should help you until you figure out how to play best.🤗

Run all-knowing combos: Open Handed, and either Kindred, Bond or both. It is quite disheartening to see your teammates handing the killer a free 4k, but at the same time you pretty much always know what's happening thanks to Open Handed almost doubling the area (area, not range) of the aura-reading.
I'll definitely try that! I might need to play more dwight for a bit, but that sounds like something thats right up my alley!
