They should've used Rank to heavily weight MMR until a threshold of information was reached. They really need to do that to help keep baby killers and newbie survivors from the jaws of veterans.

I am using Object Of Obsession and Bond. I will lead you to my teammates. What's the best way to make such a thing clear so you don't just flat out kill me at the start of the game when I basically offer myself to you? At least until you found all my friends, then you can do whatever.I ask because 3 games in a row the killer didn't seem to care I was on their side. I ran this LF right to 2 immerse Clauds right next to him, and he still hooked me right away

Just find a fellow Survivor and make noise near them to summon the Killer.

Removing the charge time debuff from his range modifier addons would be a pretty big help. Increase his base shock distance. Give him an addon that lets him charge instantly.
-
Yeah. How about fixing the collision around everything else first.

There are several criteria that need to be met before you can mori someone. 5 of them immediately come to mind.
-
Spirit Fury will help take care of that.
-
Guy guys, we can trust this is in good faith. He has Freddy as a profile picture so obviously a Killer main.
-
Yeah that's not camping. That's at worst "soft camping" but really that's just playing the game. Camping is what @SovererignKing said.
-
Having faster attack cool down messes up Survivor's reliance on missed attacks. It allows for mind games and catching people off guard.
-
Don't see why they just don't add SWF buffs and debuffs.
For example (total ass pull numbers):
2/3/4 man SWF:
25%/50%/100% BP bonus
Generators take 25%/50%/100% longerBonuses and debuffs affect only the SWF member and not any randoms that enter with them.
-
I thought they just bound it to the mouse wheel.

Scratch marks should never change. Anything related to them is completely buggy and screwed up no matter what they do. Predator should increase the sound of footsteps. Lightweight should decrease the sound of footsteps. Problem solved. This is something like my idea. Predator does what it does now but also diminishes the Killer's footsteps and brushing against foliage. Would be great if their footsteps were made more noticeable as well.

I have a few rules I follow when letting someone go. If a Survivor just d/cs and screws over their team I'll let one go. I play this game for the fun of it.

I make a.... killer batch of cookies I'm told

-
Hax?
-
My only problem with this is that you will create a meta where specific Survivors are considered good and people will feel pigeon holed into playing them.
-
Hits should err on the side of the Killer; barring glitches or lag of course. They are the power role
-
Naw it was a planned "protest" from Korean feminist Twitter. I wonder if they even own the game.
-
Either same user or some radfem hivemind that got triggered.
Same message, same Engrish.

Reminds me of a female version of Tonkaraton

-
Of course! I make the best cookies. Oatmeal Raisin being one of them.

No! I won't go back to DbD! I uninstalled and that's final!
Sees Metal Trapper (Trapper is my fav Killer btw)
THE TEMPTATION!!!!You haven't tried him with the buffs?
-
But I like raisins.
-
oh #########. trapdaddy wants my wallet so bad.
-
Something less technical would be to just make Survivors have a terror radius to other Survivors.
-
Eternal Scream of the Treated Mind.
A Survivor in Madness 3 sees other Survivors as the Doctor. While in Madness 3 Survivors will experience a close proximity heart beat and chase music.
Yeah I know. Not a chance. But a Doctor can dream. -
Doc main here: high levels are very difficult to do well in. His base range for his ability requires you to mind game Survivors into it or predict their movements. I agree that Madness 2 should go away after a while but in order to do that we'd have to buff the Doctor pretty significantly and I don't think that's the direction you want to go.
-
For me, a Killer main, tunneling is when I hook someone and chase them exclusively after letting them get unhooked.
-
Been there. One time I chased a Survivor into a trap and he didn't get hit, I followed him and stepped in the trap.
-
Doesn't help that they did a Rank reset in the middle of one either.
-
Or the traps trigger bloodlustMister_Holdout said:Not only that, but his traps need to hold survivors for a minimum duration.
I swear survivors get out of their traps so fast.
-
It's nice and all but the scratches have been fine for tracking since they fixed them a few months ago. It would also need to do something better for me like mute the Killer's sound moving through the grass/corn.
-
Would his power be suggesting if you don't like being hooked that you should go play another game?

Playing doctor is toxic. The entire Killer?

Eh maybe I'm too nice of a killer main then. I've got a set of rules I follow and govern myself by that I do my best to adhere to. The idea of strictly focus down one person and ignoring everything else seems not only moronic but exceptionally toxic.I play the same way. I don't tunnel people if I have another target, especially fresh off hooks. I don't camp and leave the area asap except when I detect another Survivor in the area. When I have a rage quit I let one Survivor go unless they were a toxic butt hole.
Edit: I still get accused of toxicity even though I follow these rules.
-
Soooo you guys got rid of it anyway through teamwork despite being solo queued. Failing to see the issue here.
-
Or blinking through a Survivor gives them fatigue because the Nurse steals their breath.
-
If being stealthy doesn't work for you, you're missing perks and not doing right or just not doing it right. I depip all the time as a Killer vs extremely coordinated and optimal Survivors. It does not seem like you have a lot of play time with Killer. You should level one to 50 or a few to 40 so you have better perspective on how to be a better Survivor.Touken said:
So how would you feel if every game or almost all the time you get camped how would you feel to keep de piping because you dont get enough points and dont say oh you just have to get good because you cant if you keep getting chased at the beggining and you cant be stealthy because that rarely worksKilrane said:Yes, that's what camping is. Counter plays are answers to win a situation. If a Killer camps one Survivor the entire hook time that is your opportunity to do gens uninterrupted. This game's name is "Dead by Daylight" not "Everyone Live in the End". Sometimes sacrificing a team member is the proper play. -
Sometimes the lobby will bug of you spend too much time in it. After about 5-10 minutes or so restart your lobby. Also the time you're trying to play is important. I find that at 0300-0600 EST that games a much harder to come by.

yes but most of the time the killer just waits for you to die in the hook and then leaveKilrane said:
That is the counter play. If the Killer is hardcore camping the only way to maybe make him budge is start popping gens especially if it's a Cannibal.Touken said:

That's a lot of info you need help on. It's pretty much asking for all the fine details and generalizations at once.
Survivors have the advantage in general because of a mixture of perks, items, some game mechanics/bugs, originally undesigned for gameplay, and expertise of players. It's a bit better for Killers since the last two patches but unless you play the better Killers the most optimally you can you will lose or even be bullied by experienced Survivors.
Myers is a great Killer, generally considered one of better ones that aren't the current "best". A skilled Killer can take Mikey and do crazy things with him. He's also probably the jump scare King of the game. Pig is a good Killer but generally considered less so than The Shape (Mikey).
As far as "what things mean" I'll need specific things to help you with there. Also, check the wiki, it's a great source of info. Also, watch Tru3ta1ent on YouTube he explains a lot of mechanics and the current meta during his gameplay videos. -
Most Killers don't use mist because it's not the most optimal thing to do. Trapper set random traps with the new Iridescent Stone. I can't speak to frame rate issues as I've never had any.
-
Trapper, Hag, and Pig get some use out of them.
-
I was thinking about this perk. Seems like in reinforces something the Killer doesn't want to do: hit Survivors.
I think it should build stacks after you hit and lose a Survivor and lose 2-2-1 stacks when you hook.
