Automatic bans were probably scrapped because it was flat out a horrible idea

I agree. Easy to manipulate the system.

I feel a break is inevitable to maintain my sanity with this game. Words cannot express how annoyed I get when yet another killer comes bearing down on me after I’m unhooked. At least 75% of the killer base plays like this and I think the only reason I still play is because sometimes they’re actually doing something else and can’t tunnel easily. The rest of the time… tunnel town.

    Who's fault is that?

  • @Reinami said:

It feels weird having the first one be so short, and the second one be so long. It makes it really hard to use it at many loops. Granted this is only after about 5 games now. We'll see how it plays out after i get some more time on him.

I don't see that as the problem. To me personally, it is the charge up speed and the power cooldown.

  • @Omans said:

The nurse mains can't admit it. They are so used to being rewarded with easy wins because of her broken mechanics.

If they admitted it then they would also have to admit they aren't as good as they think they are.

Kind of sounds like swf groups that love to bully with stacking second chance perks playing a game setup to give them an advantage from the start 🤷🏻‍♂️

Low skill players relying on crutches will definitely dislike this killer.

Funny you should say something like that. Considering, the all 4 matches I have had with him every survivor ran at least 3 second chances.

  • Wesker is too punishing charging power and releasing it I don't see the reason to use it it is fkn garbage. This seriously fkn pissed me off!

  • I bought the bundle pack and not what I expected. Weskers power is pretty much punishing in every way. Can't believe I spent $12.99 on dogshit. This is a big ######### up behavior

Everybody is giving up/disconnecting when they see nurse, and for good reason. It is literally impossible to fight an even somewhat decent nurse, let alone with addons/perks, and people are starting to catch on to how simple she actually is to play. Playing nurse in her current state is like playing old spirit, or old deathslinger, or alchring/speed/C33/iri tag/adrenaline vial/slowdowns blight - you're actively choosing to make four people's days absolutely miserable by stacking the odds so far in your favor its nearly impossible to lose unless you go against the hardcore survivors.

Just give nurse a rest. We get it, some of you have a fragile ego and need constant 4Ks or you'll rage on Reddit. There's nothing wrong with occasionally pulling out the OP stuff every once in a while. But please don't keep putting the rest of us through these guaranteed meat grinders every single game, especially not in solo queue. And yes, I'm talking to YOU, black bridal dress nurses w/ range+recharge.

As an open letter to nurse mains, I'm asking you to switch things up a bit. Play Dead by Daylight instead of 4K by Slugging. Please.

Of course only address nurse when survivor perks, maps and mechanics makes every other killer except nurse and blight absolute 💩. So, players are being selfish if they play nurse? Yeah, really don’t recall a 4 man SWF running busted 💩 with a map offering giving 2 FKs about my fun, using less than top tier killer. Your entitlement is sicking, I really don’t see the point of coming on the forums, attempting to guilt trip anyone who plays Nurse.

  • @scenicpickle said:

its bum now i played a game where i got tunneled thats fine I brought in ds except i sauced the killer for so long that the timer ran out btw he was facecamping and my team took me off and went back to gens he chased me for literally 2 minutes can the timer be paused while in chase it alreadt nerfed in otherways but this seems fair 3 sec stun and doesnt work end game and conspicuous actions cancel it with all these rules and nerf can it at least be good at the one thing its made for anti tunneling

Relax, you have other perks to crutch on and carry you.

You can after the first time you see the nurse has starstruck. It's only a surprise the first time it happens. And even then, if you see a nurse you could just assume it's starstruck and get away from her when she gets a down. It shouldn't be that hard.

Right? A lot of people these days lack common sense.

They only nerfed the perk because of Nurse. If things in the game are really being held back because of her, it might be time to rework her.

You think so? Hmm. Oh, i’m sure it is only the Nurse that breaks the game, makes it un-fun or causes confliction with balancing choices. It has nothing to do with lesser than top tier killers being too weak, maps and loops being too big and too safe with a multitude of resources, SWF having comms, survivors stacking multiple second chances and gen repair speed. I’ll take your word for it. It’s only, The Nurse 😉.

so in your opinion, they adjusted the perk just because they "listened to killers" not because it's a work in progress and after testing the perk's behavior on PTB, they decided to adjust it for game balance. Okay... if you say so. Killer mains are real manipulative jerks then. we enter their minds and whisper to them "... neeeeeerf iiiiiiiitttt...... neeeeerf iiiiiiiit" lol

When used by SWF, it's actually balanced. If only SoloQ could perform the same as SWF, then we could truly stop camping.

It's a good countermeasure for any killer trying to get a head start by killing someone at 5 gens.

Clearly, you only play one side.

  • @Audiophile said:

You mastered a very difficult killer. You’ve proven your mastery thousands of times by the number of games you’ve 4k’d and chases you’ve won over great survivors, etc etc. It’’s still fun to do but everyone recognizes it’s a bit too easy at this point you know? It’s imbalanced, overpowered and just ruins games. As soon as people hear nurse and then either see someone downed inside 20 seconds or get downed themselves, it’s over. Suicide, DC, etc. So maybe it’s time to move on. Challenge yourself with something difficult again instead of resting on your laurels and treading well worn paths. Just a thought…

“It’s a bit too easy?” Nurse and Blight are the only ones who stand a chance at top level. Survivors have way too much resources and broken ######### that playing any lesser killer is essentially an automatic loss or damn near close to it. Especially, with the whopper 6.2.0. You sound like the type of player that wants perks and other mechanics to carry you rather than assist you.

  • @AcelynnBen said:

and honestly im not sure what's the complaint, i didn't get downed once, range addons makes it harder for the nurse to recover from a juke, im seriously not sure why people are so angry about it

the only time i got downed was with noed, i mean she got a 3K with bloodwarden timer, but i was already out since it was so obvious, im seriously so confused over people complaining, she is honestly fun to play against all high tier killers are fun to play against mainly the fact that's my skill level

and no she wasn't bad not in the slightest, you literally just need to double back when she blinks a second time no dead hard or any fancy perk needed

and if u meet a nurse every game doesn't that mean the MMR is in your skill level, or do you all just want free wins and making new killers uninstall and refund within an hour of gameplay ?

like don't get me wrong MMR is messed by a lot but only for killers i noticed, since when i play piggy which is my main i get survivors that have no idea what they are doing and when i play let's say Pyramid head which im just decent with i get 4K SWF in my lobbies

But for survivors its just fine

like im sorry but if u meet a nurse every game u should have learnt to counter her by this point, but again it doesn't fall into nurse is broken, it falls into the fact that survivors have so many perks that makes the game easy that when they don't work they call the killer broken

nurse blinked twice and my dead hard didn't work, BROKEN MUST NERF, how about learn to play without dead hard or BT or any perk that makes the game easier

and honestly give killers a shot, killer mains tend to get out most when they play survivors mainly that we know every trick to every killer unless the killer is like 10K tournament blight

Right, I think survivors are either lazy or they want another killer to bully.

Actually nurse is my favorite killer to go against so not really to emotional about her i do however care about the state of the game since I usually play it 60 hours a week so no not really nice try though. Probably the double range stacking besides that I think she is good

There's a major difference between perks that are actually part of the game and work as intended, and bugs that aren't meant to be part of a killer's kit.

I think we're starting to see the "Anger" stage of grief y'all.

Having the hug tech increases the blights skill ceiling, I don’t see why you would have a problem with rewarding skillful play that took extra time to learn. Oh, and cute little middle school retort.

  • Must be very coincidental that every other killer is ######### on in this game besides Nurse and Blight because of 16x second chances. Just saying.

Doing the math on it now and cant tell if they are using the k as a hook state or not but the fact that nurse gets used more than the blight already shows that the nurse is better. so you stop talking since you dont know how to do simple brain calculations. never met a nurse main throw out so much "information" they didnt even understand its really bad to just throw up posts you dont understand. The best part is when he said they had no restrictions and were the best players in the world and they still were getting curb stomped in points to the nurse. The restricted ones are much worse since nurse doesn't even need perks to be good.

I was right “emotional damage”. Dismissing someone’s opinion just because you don’t like it, doesn’t make it valid.

  • @Tatt3dWon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3054115#Comment_3054115

That's not true there is a reason why she is the top used killer in every single tournament in dbd and they only let people use her once. Even against a god tier swf that has TENS of thousands of hours playing get mopped up by her in tournaments. If you watch tournament dbd you would understand why she needs to be worked on.

This post sounds emotional. Upset because a good Nurse can’t be bullied, maybe?

  • @TeleportingTurkey said:

    Like, I don't understand it.

You have a killer that once in a while makes you genuinely nervous in a horror game that stopped being scary for you many thousands of hours ago and who provides you with a unique chase gameplay which is always refreshing after having countless matches that can be boiled down to running in circles and holding shift+w. Not only that, each Nurse is different because of the skill differences on the player who uses her and winning against her is especially rewarding, because if you win against her, you have genuinely outplayed her.

Not only that, but she's a killer whose pure existence justifies so many things survivors have and others killers don't have, meaning the game is easier against most other killers. SWF, many survivor perks that are not nerfed because they'd help against nurse, a lot of killer perks that would've been buffed if not for Nurse. You have so many indulgences because devs don't want you to have unfun game in that exceptional scenario where the nurse is actually god. Nurse also does the same with the mindset of most players as they know they can't win every time, but if they'd want to, they can always change to nurse, but while they are not, they can play for fun, instead of trying hard.

Speaking of god nurses or "good nurses that are unbeatable", that is the same kind of mythical creature as a "good survivor" who allegedly doesn't make mistakes and thus can't be beaten. Everyone talk about it, nobody has ever seen it in real life. At least not that often for it to be a problem because it happens once every 100-200 matches and those are over in

It's the same as 4 man swat SWF, that is allegedly supposed to demolish every killer, but reality pretty much every SWF is just people having fun playing the game and not trying hard to win or anything, however the mere fact of their existence makes the opposite side so worked up and nervous, they feel like the game is rigged, while nothing has changed at all, if not for the better for them.

Nurse also does everyone a favour by concentrating pure tryhards on her, so they quickly rise in MMR and stay in their reclusive tournament tryhard club where they ruin games for each other, while other killers are already playing with a chill mindset.

If Nurse is gone, there would be never enough of killer buffs to justify her being gone, because nothing would ever match with mythical 4 man deathsquad, so no matter what devs would add or buff, most killer players would still feel robbed and dissatisfied, so it would end up with you having to deal with a lot of S-A super oppressive killers and perks, that are still not as good as a mythical god nurse, but already beyond beatable levels for most players. Same for the survivors' perks or general strength, +10 seconds of gen times would feel like a joke to you, as devs would keep nerfing and nerfing survivors for the sake of compensating nurse removal.

So yes, love and cherish Nurse, she's a necessary evil, just like SWF, to keep things in check and balance.

survivors want a killer they can bully. Simple as that.

  • Survivor - Gets mini meta perk buff at base kit that is game changing with new abusable, stackable endurance meta. Killer - Non impactful base kit changes meant to act as a placebo effect. Most gen perks nerfed into ground with exception of deadlock, while survivors still got adrenaline and unbreakable untouched. Really, walking a thin line Behavior.

  • @Shooby said:

    Reverted? No. Buffed? Perhaps.

The reason the change was made in the first place was because ADS-spam was a lose-lose situation for survivors. Zone yourself out avoiding shots that never fire, or try and call the bluff and get speared. Pyramid Head's Rites of Judgement into M1 was changed for the same reason. It was a lose-lose situation, vault the window or pallet and get hit by Punishment of the Damned, or fake it and get M1'd instantly.

There has to be consequences or counterplay for interactions like that.

Kind of like for years survivors had dead hard, iron will and ds. Fix your ######### ups and get a free escape from trial and chase. No counter play for all of that crap, some how, I assume you think that was fair.

No you dont get all. As a solo survs i only have problems with the nurse. All other killers are fine even if i like some not that much but they are fine. The Nurse isnt and its because of her gamebreaking mechanics. Do not misunderstand me. As a solo its even harder but also many swf dont want to play her.

and survivors have had broken game mechanics since day 1 against every other killer besides Nurse and Blight. Just because YOU don’t know how to play against Nurse doesn’t mean she needs to be nerfed. Get good. Willing to bet you want Nurse nerfed so you could bully. Either way sounds like a YOU problem.

With survivors now getting 4-5 health states, a basekit meta perk and free endgame escape perks. Only an idiot would wanna play that joke of a role they call kiLLeR, better start transitioning to the power role that has always been survivor. I don't see anybody apart from camping Bubbas wanting to play kiLLeR after the meta update rolls out.

As a killer main I agree. Time to look for a game where the devs give a damn about all of their player base and not just a portion. Also, did you get jailed for speaking the truth and the devs didn’t like it?

  • Biased killer main? He usually panders to survivor mains.

  • @Shooby said:

The Perk Overhaul is coming up to shake up the game's stale meta. Killers feel like they must run slowdown perks to compete in games where generators are completed way too quickly. Survivors feel like they only have 8 or so strong perks, and have to run second chance perks in a state of the game where MMR leads to tunneling and camping. With that being said, perks aren't the only thing stale about the meta. Nurse is, has been, and for the foreseeable future, will always be the best killer in the game. She isn't placed into S tier with killers like Blight... She has her own tier. Perks are stale, but so is the highest tier of killer. With that being said, if Nurse is still far and away the best killer in the game after the Perk Overhaul, it's time for some tuning or a rework.

Looking to try to crap all over McClean's legacy?

  • @Sluzzy said:

I had a match today that didn't sit well with me. No, it wasn't due to being camped to death and neither was it a Blight slaughtering everyone at 5 gens remaining. Not this time.

I was on an awesome team and the killer mostly played fair. He didn't tunnel or camp anyone. Everyone stayed alive as long as they could in chase and they were glued to gens when they could and was never idle. He even abandoned chase with me because of Tinkerer. There was two different occasions where I had a gen at about 90% and it would have finished but he had the hook perk that removes objective progress and I watched this gen go from about 95% to about 75, and then he walked over to the same gen and removed even more progress and it becomes 50%! Two perks stacked together with POP! This is not fun to witness. So not only did we have to deal with Ruin at the beginning, but it was also POP and Scourge Hook. This is bad and I hope that the meta reworks is truly going to put an end to it because I am very tired of a decent team losing an entire match against a mediocre killer being carried by perks. The Demogorgon places portals next to the gens so he has all-seeing map wide information of what all is going on making him have a very unfair advantage.

Demogorgon should not be able to put portals close to gens, which is the survivor objective.

You can see from our tally screen we all had a lot of points. It was not a bad match, there was a lot of chases and it was mostly a good game. However, the survivors still lost horribly because 2 gens were left unrepaired on the map. The hope dwindled away fast when people started dying which reiterates the point that there shouldn't ever be a point when the match is unwinnable.

The killer won because he had all slowdown perks. We could not finish the gens because he was stacking them and he had tinkerer which basically leads a horse to his water. This is a reminder that BHVR better use this opportunity to make this game fair by preventing slowdown perks from being stackable. It is too much advantage.

It is NOT fun losing because you were outclassed by perks. When in this case, the survivor does not have a means to overcome it.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/11VTLAFCL2OO/tally.png

Second chances carry survivors to an already survivor dominate game. What’s your point? Everyone is entitled to their opinion but at this point your rantings are all the same. Same broken record. Nothing but the same cringy, idiocy and ignorance. BTW. What match doesn’t sit well with you?

You are suggesting a buff. Quality of life changes do not affect balance, they just make something less clunky. For example, the upcoming load out slots are a quality of life change.

And i think she holds back, map design and perk design.

    She is very unhealthy

Also why did they buff her recently.... 3 blink nurse shouldn't be a thing

So you think the top tier killers should be nerfed because YOU are not going to be able to rely on those second chance crutches to carry you every game anymore?

  • @Sluzzy said:

I don’t understand the logic on this one and I hope someone, perhaps a dev, can explain it to me. Why nerf boons totally into the ground and then give a free perk to destroy them permanently when the perk is so easily detectable? I literally see nobody using boons, except the 1 out of 10 matches you might see Circle of Healing. The one time I remember seeing the perk, I didn't even run across the map to find it because it is such a waste of time.

Do devs literally listen to everything and do everything killers want with total disregard to balance and normal thought processes?

And now to the Dredge.  He is overpowered and if he doesn’t get nerfs survivors will not have a chance to win unless the player using him is braindead.  He has powerful map pressure with instant teleporting across the map to any locker, and he has anti-loop. I repeat…this is NOT balanced!

We desperately need to get away from this thinking that killer is only fun if they can squash the survivors with no chance at all for them to win.

If we are going to start having anti-loop, all-knowing, all-map pressure “monsters” in the game, survivors NEED more than a singular pallet in the middle of a field. I am going to go out on the limb and say we need to start looking at more tools for survivors to defend against the monster. We need to get real, if monsters are in the game, we need guns or knives, something that can stall the killer.

Either provide survivors more abilities to fend off the killer or stop with the anti-loop, all-knowing, everywhere map pressure killers.

Disclaimer: I play and have played both sides.

Disclaimer: Say they play both sides. Yet 95% of his bch’n is about killers. I might be pulling this statement out of the void, but maybe there is a reason at high level you only see Nurse and Blight. However, I guess every killer this clown gets killed by they must be OP.

  • I am a killer main that despises everything about Legion, but just because I do doesn’t mean they should get nerfed. A bunch of complaining survivors disconnecting or dying on 1st hook, with the “this isn’t fun”mindset. Well, I’ll tell you what isn’t fun Dead Hard, Iron Will and CoH every game. Still I don’t rage and dc. So with that I would say grow TF up and stop trying to get the devs to cater to your role(SM) by trying to prioritize that only YOUR fun matters.
