This is a good take with some really bad ideas. Some of the perk ideas aren't bad like the conviction one which i thought they rewroked but i could be wrong. I though in present day it didn't work anymore due to them changing whether or not you go down via your own volition or the killer down you. The off the record having no collision is just dumb. If you did that you would have to limit the endurance by half or more which denies the purpose of the perk and its secondary effects. Nerfing we'll make it to one heal when its already on a 1.5 minute timer is dumb. Fast track is already nerfed into the ground from its previous state now can only do 40% max now (with all 8 unhooks * 5% per stack). Overcome is fine, its an exhaustion perk that gives you distance, what's new. This perk can't even be used if you're currently injured or going against an insta-down killer. Unbreakable and botany do not need activations. Unbreakable is a one time use thing it shoudl not have requirements for what it does. If you think a one time antislug perk needs one when boon expo exists, that just a bad take. Bro actually thinks lightborn needs changes too, which is just so dumb. Leave it, let people have the blind immunity. Its a perk slot wasted or not so just stop complaining about lightborn when it only benefits killers for once. Also having every map be static would be so boring, being the same loops over and over. yes, badham was bad but leave the random variation, it helps keep the game fun. And BHVR is never gonna rework older killer until 20 years in the future, they dont care about killers, they care about stats that reflect braindead solo que.

    thanks for the opinion

  • Also i forgot to mention that what could also be done is that (not just springtrap) but those who have addon that reveal them a trajectory etc. should not be addon but instead a basekit setting that you can set on or off

I wouldn't take it to heart, don't worry too much about the people who disagree with your opinion. I agree with points like Haywire needing changed coz it's kind of unusable in its current form.

Some points like botany I don't agree with but that's only because of Diminishing returns right now, I see your point though.

Anti cheat at least looks like it is being revisited with the recode, coz they had a survey on it

I'm definitely in favor of buffing niche perks, I think if you split up your post into more focused topics like the accessibility feedback and survivor perk changes and killer perk changes etc, people will listen to you and focus more on the subjects you want to tackle.

Having both talked before, I know you write with your passion of the game but I do think if you wrote the points with focused threads on the changes you'd like to see you'd get more of the engagement you'd like to see <3

    thanks a lot a i apreciate :)

  • this is why i am gonna quit the game and i will rather play the new halloween game

  • also question are you a survivor main? just wanna know

I think there are some good suggestions here, but your post comes across as extremely "us vs them hivemind" which isn't going to fix anything (and what's up with randomly talking about Bendy? I'm sorry if this upsets you, but that's only going to make most people think you're a child)

The real truth is that Dead by Daylight, and Behavior, does not care about any of it's players. Take the anniversary event for instance, as I see it as an almost perfect representation of the wider game as a whole. Survivors are given a plethora of overpowered abilities, killers are given an effective yet incredibility uninteresting and unfun ranged attack, it's riddled with bugs and glitches, and all the while in the background the devs are intentionally nerfing BP cakes to make the game more grindy for everyone - then lying about it then they get called out.

You want to see change? Want to see bugs actually get fixed, want killers to have fresh and interesting power designs, want the devs to improve the content that's already in the game instead of shoveling in shiny new licenses to distract everyone, want them to actually care about their product and it's community? Then stop playing the game. Stop giving them your money and your time, because that is the only thing that gets their attention.

the part where i mentioned bendy is just a random thought (joke), also true that it looks like that bhvr doesn"t really care about players.

  • also forgot to mention: those addons for range killers that you can see trajectory or reticle like springtrap, trickster etc. should not be addons but instead basekit settings

The amount of Survivor favoritism is ridiculous! Invincibility?! Unbreakable pallets!?

We HAVE to let BHVR know how disappointed we are and make them treat Killers the same way they treat Survivors!

    exactly

they have been giving them WAY TO MUCH STUFF compared to killers so i would have thought that they will at least get some compesation but NOPE.

  • Hello let me just say that the reason i made this is because bhvr are just giving to survivors compared to killers while survivor players (not all of them) are just B*tchin around just because they are not at the game and this makes this experience worse for everyone, survivors are on a autopilot, their entitlement is GOD awful, while killers get practily nothing to compansate, not to mention the event that this is an 10TH ANNIVERSARY AND THIS IS WHAT THEY GET? even more autopilot s**t benefit and bonuses for nothing while killers get you"ve quessed it NOTHING. Also This comuniuty is one of the worst i"ve ever been part of. (i know that dbd is not the only one in terms of pvp games but dbd is a little bit different, people are hacking other acounts, streamers, tellim them to k**l themselves just because they lost a game of dbd) and if you are thinking that i am saying this just because i am a killer main and hating survivors, then you are wrong i play both sides and i have a decent understanding of the game but quess what not everyone is good and they doN"t have to be this game NEVER meant to be a competetive game but a party but because of those who are way competetive and take literally everything seriously for no reason its now more competetive which wouldn"t be a bad thing but sometimes their entitlement is really ruining the game. And yes i know that killers can be entitled and toxic as well which is true and i agree with that, but from what i saw survivors are more toxic then killers, and we don"t need to talk about cheaters cause this game is 10 YEARS OLD and still we got no better anti cheat system!? I played this game for almost 10 years and i am tired of this comunity and the devs, Cause i wanna love this game, it gave me eveyrthing but now I have to say that i give up i am not playing dbd until they finally start doing something and if you think that i am wrong then think about a for minute, think about yourself of what you are doing and if you really wanna support bhvr even after ALL OF THIS. THATS ALL THANK YOU FOR READING.

No problem man everyone has those days where they swear something is one way but then realize that its not. Happens to me time to time too. I have so much information of this game in my brain that sometimes I literally remember something totally wrong too.

glad that i am not the only one but i just hope that what i mentioned about springtrap that they will implement

  • @Wezqu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094354#Comment_4094354

Yeah its the same as the axe you can hold it on you as long as you want but as I said Jason sees the spike aura the whole time inside 28 meter range if you are not removing it. With that its like artist crows she sees their aura if you are not repelling them from yourself.

hello i just wanna say that i saw clip of that and now i feel really stupid so i am so sorry for wasting your time.

  • @Wezqu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094344#Comment_4094344

Like sorry but you are mistaken like I ask you go watch any gameplay on survivor point of view against Jason and find a point where full healthy survivor gets hit by his spike the only status effect it gives rightaway is broken as it prevents healing when in the survivor. Still the hinderance status effect does not come into play until they start removing the hook spike. I am not trying to be anyway confrontational here I am just trying to make you realize that you are not correct in your statement. I am not sure if you mean the broken status effect and are mistaking that to Hindered status effect?

question once you get hit with it, is the removing action automatic or you can hold it as a "hostage" similiar to springtrap"s axe… except that springtrap can recall it.?

  • @Wezqu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094315#Comment_4094315

Like I am sorry but you are mistaken. They don't get hindered until they start removing the spike the benefit the killer gets from the spike being in the survivors is the aura read on the spike itself. The hindering effect only starts when survivor starts removing it and the killer loses the aura of the spike when they start removing it too. So the survivor has to weight the benefits to remove the spike and get slowed down or give the killer the aura information.

Most people don't seem to know this so they start removing the spike right away so they get slowed down. That might be the reason why you think they get it straight away after getting impaled.

thing is that once you (as a survivor) get hit by the hook spike, you become hindered right at the moment when you get hit and until you remove it (or he downs you)

  • @Wezqu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094271#Comment_4094271

Could you explain like what you mean by the hindered in this case as by data survivor will not slowdown at all even if they are impaled by the hook spike. Still if they start removing it their speed drops to 0.9x so they are 10% slower while doing the extraction.

I just want to understand what you are trying to say like if you mean them getting pushed by the spike or what?

no what i mean is once they start running after the hit they get hindered until removing the hook spike which means that it isn"t once you start removing it but it is right when you get impaled so you will be hindered as long as you are impaled (running with it). Cause if you hit them with a normal spike (not a hook one) they just get injured

  • its not just that but it shows how much BHVR are favoring survivors. Both of them should get 50/50

  • @Wezqu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094263#Comment_4094263

You are now confusing the view point we are talking about survivor slowdown not the killers. Survivor does not get hindered until they start removing the hook.

ohh ok my bad but still they are hindered even if they are not removing it (it has to be a hook spike only) sorry for the arguments

  • @Wezqu said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4094242#Comment_4094242

No you don't. You can move normal speed after you land after the spike hit. Slowdown comes only when survivor starts to remove the hook.

ohh you mean that. but isn"t that the point? since other range killers also slowdown similarly to jason, but the hindered is from the moment that they get impaled by a hook spike and not when starting removing

  • and what killers got exactly from the last anniversary (year) ? i don" t remember much

  • @GeordieKiller said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4093387#Comment_4093387

i would strongly disagree that killer were the most focused on last year anniversary i believe it was on paper fairly balanced both sides in terms of effects and in game the killer just edge it cause the remote hooking and auto break just made killer a bit more efficient so they can be on survivors more often then normal

But i would argue as well that compare the powers event that killer got last year to Survivor power in this year event that survivor got the biggest win ever and its not even close.

The fact that at all main courses all survivors can get a free health state is insane, killer never got anything like that in any events they never had an ability where they injure all survivors after doing an event task and that just one of the insane effect survivors get!

i cant see any viable defence for this event its not balanced its not fun for killers and back to my original post "for any killer players who see this post avoid this event just take the queue times and play normal that how strong i feel about this event that it is an avoid"

this was meant to celebrate 10 years of DBD of Survivors & KILLERS and killers i can safely say was a 2nd thought with this event which is sad and heartbreaking i hope the devs can do better

    exactly

  • @Sauroth said:

This has to be the BEST event BHVR ever done! Thank you to the devs!

    was that sarcasm?

  • @Brokenbones said:

I'm pretty sure you only get that hindered if you do the 'extract' interaction, no?

So it's not really that big of a deal, just don't do the interaction.

no they get hindered when they get injured by a hook spike

  • @Wezqu said:

He can out of decent distanse away and get there fast with the speed boost and even throw from distance so he really don't need it to be that easy.

even though the haste he gets is not that bad so i think he should have it but not the hindered when they are injured by a hook spike, but for sure they should nerf the deputy badge addon by making it so the gen if it is already regressing the addon will not damage it and at the moment i caN"t think of anything else

  • true he needs some small nerfs but other than that he is fine unlike springtrap (he is my main)

  • @Wezqu said:

I posted this in another thread of how I would change him to make him not grind the game to a halt

He most definetely should not to see survivors doing objectives while in OE.

Still I would also lower or even remove his haste after appearing he does not really even need it. He has ranged attack he does not need the speed as he is not just a M1 killer.

I would also give him a timer not sure of the time limit but if he stays in OE over that timer he will lose all information he could gain from it normally. This would be there to make camping harder and make him come out of power more and not just sit in it most of the time. The time limit would be something quite long like 30-60 seconds.

These would be the three nerfs I would do to his base power and with these he still would be totally fine and not really even that much weaker just better for gameplay wise so matches don't grind to a halt everytime he is in power.

i can see where are you coming from but the fact that he is still punished by camping that his jumpscare 3X longer which already gives them enough time but i understand. I just hope that springtrap gets buffed just like with the change that i said.

But right now with the autopilot and unhealthy perks like sprint burst, vigil, lithe, self preservtion ( should be reverted), hyperfocus + stakeout ,flip flop when combined with power struggle (cause its a lose lose situation and there is no counterplay), personally i think that shoulder the burden should give them broken instead of exposed cause it literally does nothing. But there are some killers perks that needs changes as well cause some of them are unhealthy like remember me, coulorophobia + forced hessitation (slugging build), hex noed, maybe lightborn but personally i am not so sure., should be changed cause it isn"t about strenght of the perks but by how they are healthy for the game. Also someone mentioned that jason is almost autopilot. let me just say no he is not he has skill like the only killers i can think of right now that are on a autopilot are krasue and nurse (nurse only with aura build and because of it there is no skill cause she ignores literally EVERYTHING.) even ghoul right now has more skill then nurse she needs to be reworked. Thats everything at the moment if there is anything that i missed let me know.

so in short this is my opinion and i stand by it thank you for understanding

Why does this post smell like under 1k hours, doesn't play both sides and needs their opinion from a CC lol

Survivors and Killers need to work for their wins, the game doesn't just hand it to them. So what about those players who are getting win streaks/challenges done? Maybe you're not as good as killer as you think you are lol… Like I eat dirt sometimes coz I'm not the best Unknown player but I know I ain't playing for a wendy's gift card.

Sprint Burst can be annoying, but it's far from the be all and end all, maybe it's because I play ranged killers and I can punish bad positioning/hold W'ing with a good shot.

But also if sprint burst cant exist, why can high mobility killers? The game would be boring if we took the toys from each side. I'm still of the opinion old dead hard is fine, I prefer'd facing it over the current one, it interacts with lag awfully (survivor makes the downed scream and plays the animation sometimes and teleports away when the server validates it).

    actually i have 9 000 almost 10 000k hours

So I've watched that video, and i play a lot of nemesis (he's my second most played killer behind my beloved demo) and the majority of those suggested changes are busted. There are some good points but most of it is just OP.

I know people want their killers to be more "lore accurate" but lore accurate and balanced pull in two different directions. Demogorgons can canonically outrun speeding trucks and tear apart fully armed and trained squads of military personnel in seconds, pyramid head is a god's avatar, hellraiser has a similar level of power. Yet they all still regularly get dunked on around them by 4 unenhanced humans with nothing but pallets, torches, moxy and the odd flashbang to fight back with in games. If you want a lore accurate reason for these changes then it's because the entity nerfs them to balance trials and give survivors hope of escape to allow the entity to glean the maximum sustenance from each trial.

Nemesis' base kit power is fine, pretty well balanced imo, it has skill expression, and is dodgeable. The tyrant rush is a potential alternative, but I don't see why we gotta fix what isn't broke. I do like the roar idea, making the zombies a little controlable would be a good change. The rocket launcher is just plain nuts. That youtuber suggests a laser to make it dodgeable but also then make it redirectable. To hell with that, if I get instadowned across the map because nemi read my aura and curved a f@*&ing rocket in through a doorway then I'm going to disconnect. Just no.

As for his addon pass suggestions, he has some points. For sure nemi's add on kit is pretty naff, addons are either boring but consistent or interesting but pointless. Unfortunately most of the suggestions are pretty OP, nothing wrong with a good add on list but all S tier add ons is too much. He does have some good ideas for it but yh moderation.

Nemi is really solid B tier imo and the game needs those. The killers I enjoy playing as and against are generally that sort of level. They require skill to play while still being accessible, they can be countered by survs without being too weak. We do not need to make every killer S tier, because S tier basically means uncounterable if the killer is skilled. Look how many people hate playing against nurse and blight. Because they suck, either the killer player is good and it's a hatch game at 3 gens, or they suck and exit gates are open after 2/hooks.

this post was just a random idea and i liked that rework but i understand.

  • @BongoBoys said:

I think if he had a Rush it would just be like press ability key to start a scream and he just rushes like Hillbilly and ends with a lil cooldown at the end of the rush but without the insta down lethality doesn't really seem op to add to his kit if it's just map traversal mobility.

    thats the point

  • @jesterkind said:

Maybe I'm being baited by the thumbnail here (I haven't watched the video) but I really don't understand why people act like the presence of a rocket launcher is the sole determining factor for whether Nemesis is accurate to the games or not.

Everything he does have is accurate, why does it matter that he doesn't have that one highly specific thing?

its not just the rocket launcher but also the whole rush (running thing) he is know for being a fast beast while here he is barely faster i understand why but it would have been cooler

We can make this argument for 50% of perks in this game.

killers aren"t the only one having aura perks survivors also have it

Yep, the perks are balanced on their timers, and reducing that increases their value massively more that they should give because its not just this one interaction, its all four survivors efficiency its buffing by wasting the killers time.

Exhaustion reduction is a huge balance issue. These perks should have individual timers based on expected value out of them and no way to manipulate it. Or they have to be balanced with reduction in mind. Vigil just needs to go, its a major unhealthy perk.

    exactly

  • @Mr_K said:

I seen this yesterday and agree more or less with the points, except the last one of disabling the DC penalty for SWF. I don't know how he thought that was a good idea. That would allow 4x SWFs to DC to get easy killers without penalty.

Sprint burst requires you to manage your exhaustion or walk everywhere which requires gimping speed to get to your objectives.

Botany and Vigil are both passive effects and are arguably don't do what they do strong enough to warrant an activation condition. Alternatively their condition is that they need something to affect (botany is useless against plague after all)

Well you can use sprint burst practicly whenever you want cause you get it by walking or by just sitting on a generator which is just a free escape button, free faster healing for free like why? And vigil just deletes all status effects for free also like why? its a 4v1 game

As long as Lethal Pursuer exists, any complaints about exhaustion perks fall on deaf ears.

what does it have to do with anything exactly?

  • @Leon_van_Straken said:

While I agree that many Survivors leave games because their shoeties are in a wrong color I can´t agree with your second take.

All your called perks "sprint burst, vigil, lithe, fast track( i know its getting changed), botany knowledge, resurgence, unbreakable, decisive strike" are situational perks which need a specific situation to accure which is their condtition. I take the Haste perks out because they are really powerful this is why they are limited to one.

Shoulder the burden is the same. If you dont tunnel the perk does kinda nothing for the Survivors. Well yes you could swap the first hookstage for yours but than you only give the Killer your exposed "ass" to tunnel out.

Yes you can still use plot twist after using conviction. 2 perks for one heal after you get slugged sounds fair to me.

well most of them yes but not sprint burst, botany and vigil you got the effects for free without doing anything.

  • Also i have to mention but why survivors are having literally autopilot perks? like sprint burst, vigil, lithe, fast track( i know its getting changed), botany knowledge, resurgence, unbreakable, decisive strike? Those perks should have a condition in order to activate to be earned. Shoulder the burden isN"t as badly designed as those mentioned perks, but i think for shoulder the burden at the very least the exposed should be for longer like 60 seconds maybe it could have something more this is the very least. Also random question. Does plot twist still work with conviction?

We all call for buffs for weaker killers. Sadly I dont think its that simple. Killers like Pig have a complex power that can easily break with number changes. These kind of buffs, while undoubtably making the character stronger, can do it in the worst way possible.

    Its complicated.

    it is complicated

  • @radiantHero23 said:

What points? The new type of killers need their mobility and chase power gutted? Vigil needs to be nerfed? Pig and Ghosty need to start dashing like Blight?

It's a difficult problem to tackle. As I mentioned before, sprintburst against new Vecna, Nurse, Blight, Billy, Ghoul and the like is perfectly fine. Even if 4 are stacked.

Against a killer that lacks this kind of chase power / mobility however, 4 sprint bursts can easily become a nightmare to deal with.

I really don't want this to devolve into a rant about killers like Henry or Nurse that counter looping altogether and only leave shift w as an option to not go down in seconds, but I have to say, that this kind of killer design is actively hurting the game.

My suggestion would be to nerf vigil, as @SoGo already mentioned. Without that perk, managing your exhaustion takes more effort, making sprintburst less of an issue. Obviously this doesn't solve the overall problem at all, but it might be a good start.

no that"S not what i meant. weaker killers needs more buffs, vigil needs to be changed, and no i doN"t want more dash slop killer. plus i feel like killers like nurse needs to be adressed.

  • @radiantHero23 said:

The problem I have with sprintburst is how much it punishes lower tier killers that lack mobility while being perfectly fine against the "new breed" of high mobility anti - loop machines we've gotten over the last years.

Stealth killers like Ghostface or Pig are having a really rough time against this perk and vigil isn't making things any better.

Now the question is, is this a problem with sprintburst, vigil, the new killers or the older killers?

I'm pretty sure, that the problem cannot be solved by giving everyone a dash.

very good point all of those things should be adressed

  • I just want for survivor perks not being all about autopilot and even with this people (not all of them) are just giving up for no reason
