I don't think Bubba's addons have ever been nerfed.
Changed nerfed whatever you want to call it. I'm not saying go back to the old bubba with faster charge time as I like his power but he literally only has 3 addons worth running at the moment. Maybe 4.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that has trouble without a certain perk! Personally, I have trouble actually surviving without No Mither. Me AND my team lose so much more often when I'm not running it, both solo-queue and SWF. It absolutely baffles me
So, what are your personal "crutch" perk(s) that you have trouble playing without?
Play with your food is madatory for me now
-
Because survivors call anything and everything tunneling. Tunneling already got hard nerfed. Never do we see changes like this to killers basekit. Basekit bt after unhook is all you need.
-
It doesn't need a nerf as all it is is aura reading. It let's the killer get early chases but he can still only chase 1 survivor at a time. It's up to the other 3 to do their objectives like good little survivors

Lmao that's funny. I thought you said Singularity but realized you said Trickster. I like Trickster on console too, I think he's fun (not with MFT) but he's a real struggle for a lot of console players
Lower your sensitivity to 55% trust me dude! The more you play the easier it gets. If you catch someone in a dead zone you might as well be bubba.

@LobbyDodgerLeonidas said:
Singularity is garbage. Worst killer in the game on console by far, rivaled only by Trickster. It blows my mind that a killer this bad gets released this far in the game's lifecycle. You can use anyone else and get better results much faster
Idk man I got pretty good with trickster on console. Yes he has bad maps but dang he can win chases so fast.

Just because a perk has value during a chase, doesn't mean it's a problem. No, the meme exhaustion roulette perk and the barely noticeable speed increase for half a chase perk are not problems.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/Y6ZSBHDCJHC5/7sj4h0.jpg
The problem is that it gives huge value with no downside and makes it harder for the 110 killers to do anything just for injuring a survivor. Ever been looped around a tall rock with no pallet against a 100% speed survivor as a hag?

This isn’t necessarily a question about viability or where they rank on a tier list (but of course those factors may influence your enjoyment)- it’s how many killers do you have in constant rotation and have fun with, whether you win, lose or draw. With the killer roster at 30+ characters I’m interested to see how many of those you guys actually enjoy playing as or whether you have really strict mains.
I’m seeing a lot of posts across DBD social media concerning Wesker’s almost omnipresence in matches in contrast with questions regarding “why does nobody play x killer”, with ‘x’ currently seeming to be singularity at the moment.
Killers I always seem to have fun with are Spirit, Slinger, Pyramid Head, Nemesis, Pinhead, Wesker and Knight. I would add on that I can have good fun with Billy, Myers, Sadako and Dredge but this is more dependent on other factors. With the others I have fun almost all of the time, even losing.
3 or 4. Just got into leatherfa mce recenlywhich brought it up to 4. Most of the killers need an update badly but the devs buff and nerf based off of New player experience lol

@NerfDHalready said:
it needs a set total amount of time it can be active, like lucky break. currently it's unnecessarily free. and i really wonder who thought the haste wasn't enough and suggested adding an endurance effect.
They just want to sell content. They'll nerf it later after they lose more of their playerbase
-
To be fair, look how they buffed sadako. By nerfing her lol. Their reasoning behind leaving trapper the way he is, is because new players will gravitate toward him. Their mindset is to focus on new players instead of the experienced player. No other dev does this. This is why there's such a huge gap in power level between killers. The devs make bogus excuses like anyone really believes that story. They just want to pump out minimal content that people dont want, and will never want [hillbilly overheat] among other things, and sell their microtransactions instead of fixing gameplay
-
No, there's 4 of you. The killer deserves the hook if he downs you. It's up to your team to stop the killer

Killers like Demo though can run STBFL and the obsession cannot do anything about it because he'll use his power vs the obsession. I dunno if there's any other killer who can make use of STBFL as well as Demo. It's just that this is ok because of how rare Demo is.
Billy, leatherface, Myers with tombstone, pyramid head, nemesis, wesker

Haven't faced a single singularity for more than 1 week...
The killer mechanics are awesome but the survivors can counter is so easily that no one care to play it...
Devs, you need to tweak the way the EMPs are affecting the pods. Removing the pods on survivors is okay (and survivor cannot be tagged for 15 seconds for exemple) but disabling pods in the environment must be removed.
Also the amount of EMPs available must be tweaked down.
Yeah not a fan of survivors being able to control when I can use my power. I'll stick to bubba right now, they can't deny a chainsaw if I catch them slipping

@Wampirita said:
depends on the killer I play. Some of them barely have a difference in gameplay and some of them are extremely addon dependent.
I do not really like using addons/items overall, because i'm a hoarder.
I'm absolutely fine not using addons on Trapper, Wraith, Nurse, Huntress, Plague, Pyramid Head, Artist (PH and Artist only because their addons are all pretty dog, so no reason to use any)
But i'd feel handicapped if i were to go into a match as an addonless Billy, Myers, Bubba, Doctor, Freddy, Wesker, Knight
I don't play any other killers so i can't judge how addon dependent they are
I need my omnibell wraith. Fits my playstyle more. His base power gives himself away. Not really great for ambushing them

@Exerlin said:
It seems like every killer I face or watch almost always have addons on, even players that dedicate themselves mostly to one killer. I'm not saying people shouldn't use addons or anything, I'm mainly wondering if anyone else feels kinda bad when using them.
Personally, using addons feels bad because they're a consumable. I really don't want to train myself on certain addons just to run out of them, and I don't want to continuously pump bloodpoints into a killer I play a lot because I don't really care about Prestige past 10. My goals when I play this game are to unlock everything I can, have fun, try to win, and try to improve. Using addons would make it easier to win, but harder to improve as I'm relying on something I won't always have.
It also irks me a bit when everyone's making videos showcasing perk combos and such while always bringing in a decked-out item. Like, I get that Mettle of Man is good when you have 2 self heals on your medkit. I'm sure Prove Thyself is carrying your team, nothing to do with your brand new part or anything. But ESPECIALLY that Ace in the Hole video. Why would you bring an item in when you are scavenging for more you're not even showcasing the "you keep addons on escape" feature you're just throwing away your inventory
Anyways, if you know anyone who makes DBD videos and doesn't constantly use really good addons and items all the time, I'd love to see it!
You're up against 16 perks and potentially 4 items with 8 add ons. Nah don't feel bad for not using them at all

Killers can (and in my opinion, should) complain about tunneling and camping. It saps all fun and life out of the game for the survivor side.
That doesn't make it not a strategy to tunnel and camp people. It's a strategy. Hell, it can be a POWERFUL strategy. That doesn't make it fun (and if it's not fun, you're gonna get people complaining about it).
Yet you still play

Remove the Endurance, it's weird and doesn't fit with the perk, and then the perk is fine imo.
Just seems like whenever either sides gets a new usable perk, people are upset. Sometimes, there is merit to it, most of the time there isn't.

That's weird I hear survivors making excuses for things to get nerfed in this game way more than any killers

It'll be nerfed, just not for another two years.
It's funny - Thanatophobia was nerfed just 2 weeks after it's buff because it was seen it almost every lobby and was "overperforming" - yet, almost every lobby I'm seeing at least 1 or 2 survivors running Made for This and we've still yet to see a nerf.
About 1 lobby in every 10 I don't see it used. I sure wonder what the pick rates are for MfT.
I genuinely don't understand how people say they can't tell when survivors are running it, to me it's blatantly obvious but I do have close to 5k hours, perhaps the people who can't tell don't have as much playtime?
Gotta keep the survivors happy and 2 escapes per match average or else they'll riot in the streets

Oh please. Are EMPs annoying? Yes. Does Singularity need some tweaks? Yes. Is Singularity fun? Also yes. If you don't like how Singularity is currently, no one is forcing you to play as him.
The problem is we paid money for garbage. I've given him multiple chances and the emps completely ruin him. Even games I win they're still infuriating because they completely undo all your setup and infection progress. Plus downing them doesn't get rid of it.
-
@Mandy said:
Whilst I appreciate the feedback around the EMP's - this is obviously something we are going to be looking out for with the latest chapter. Franklins will only work on Survivor Items, not the special items moving forwards, so this includes Sadako Tapes etc, this is not expected to be changed.
You guys do things without even thinking sometimes. And then turn around and make us console players wait an entire ptb for things that should've been implemented without question. Save these kind of changes for a ptb to get player feedback instead of just jumping the gun. Remember Freddy? I do
-
I wish survivors couldn't immediately undo your power and disable your camera at a high value gen at the same time. What are they thinking?

I played on the new map and all I hear is it’s another ######### map and it sucks. Scott Jund made an entire joke video about how Toba is the worst map ever. But is it?
Is it worse than Borgo, Garden of joy, fractured cowshed, Old RPD and Haddonfield?(that map isn’t bad either)
No it’s not I played as killer and it never felt unfair it was actually a cool map. Even when I failed it was on me cause I didn’t pressure right. Sure it sucks on ranged killers and the visuals can be weird but it’s really not the worst map far from it.
I hate when people exaggerate how much maps suck when this one isn’t that bad at all. Borgo and Garden deserve that hate.
Garbage survivor based map as always. Always another pallet and always another strong window. I wish another game would come along with some competent devs who know balance

@SweetTerror said:
Hey guys, it's been a while since I've played the game. I've been watching videos of the new chapter, and needless to say I have some questions. Probably the biggest one has to do with the EMPs. How is it that in order to obtain any other item in the game: flashbangs, infection spray, health spray, etc, you have to put down the item you're currently carrying, but with EMPs you don't? Not just that, but you can grab them multiple times while in a chase without having to worry about losing the item you currently have. That seems a tad OP, especially against survivors that know what they're doing.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you had to open the case just like any other chest, but the cases will continuously open on their own. Is this as bad as it seems to be, or is this not much of an issue at all? I'm interested in picking the game back up again, but it seems that tackling this new killer could prove to be a big headache against well coordinated survivors. I personally stopped playing the game because playing killer was too much of a sweat fest, and I really don't want more of that. Thanks.
They're trying to make as much money as possible so that means making survivor gameplay as braindead as possible. That means survivors have every tool in their toolbox without having to make any hard decisions. Meanwhile the new killer has to micromanage more than just hooks and generators. Extremely stressful with little payoff against decent survivors. Not playing him until they buff him
-
What's the point of infecting someone holding an emp? So dumb that they can cleanse themselves! Imagine if pyramid heads power could be so easily negated
-
Slipstreamed survivors should not be able to cleanse themselves! Or make it to where other survivors can't cleanse slipstreamed teammates. Right now they have both. I've noticed a tactic they use is 2 people on a gen near my bipod, I get both of them, they both have emps and one waits for both of them to be slipstreamed before taking out all of my work plus deactivating my bipod. I would be better off walking up to them and just m1ing both of them
-
Garbage killer especially on console. Barely works even when the survivors aren't shutting down every single bipod and can just as easily remove their teams
-
I don't understand the point of releasing the killer with one good cosmetic and 7 redskins like people are going to buy them
-
They're doing it for the cash grab. It'll get nerfed in 9 months
-
Yeah ! let's nerf killer more so altruistic teams can run to unhook in their faces with no downside or risk of being punished, yeah!
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Not nerfed enough, especially not in the right direction. It still rewards a Killer who failed the whole game with a strong effect, instead of being changed to a Perk which is stronger the better the Killer did before (e.g. via a Token-System).
Also the dumb "counterplay" of wasting time cleansing Dull Totems is still present, which helps the Killer more than the actual effect because Survivors spend their time cleansing Totems instead of doing the Objective.
Just because the exit gates are powered doesn't mean survivors are garaunteed to escape. And it doesn't mean the killer failed either. They only fail once you escape through the gate. Until then they ran 3 perks while all the gens were up. It's fine where it's at

Even with deja vu buff, I've recently adopted the 3 gen strat into my ordinary gameplay. I actively search out the closest 3 gens only because it benefits me late game as killer to have a close 3 gens. I still defend them because it's my one purpose next to hooking survivors.

Generally it's been positive. The haste boost after creating a long patrol path is really noticeable and has gotten me a surprising amount of hits. As did the reduced time before a chase when a max-patrol-path guard spots a survivor. But he still has some pretty bad outstanding issues.
- Guards AI remains buggy and consistently paths incorrectly if a hunted survivor drops a pallet - This is an issue introduced with the Tools of Torment chapter. And it makes certain pallet loops extremely safe against guards since they try to run around to the other side of the dropped pallet instead of just running through it like they're supposed to.
- Add-on selection is terrible with only three viable add-ons to choose from - Seriously. If you don't run some combination of Dried Horsemeat, Call to Arms, or Map of the Realm, you're handicapping yourself. All three of these add-ons need to have their effects halved and given to Knight as base-kit. And almost all of his other add-ons need to be looked at. He desperately needs an add-on pass treatment akin to what Wraith got.
- Majority of maps are bad for him and force tunnelling, slugging and camping - This isn't an issue that solely affects Knight. But as a killer whose main method of winning is map pressure, he feels it the most. You simply cannot exact map pressure on any Coldwind map. Same with Mother's Dwelling, Mt Ormand, Haddonfield, Badham, and even Midwitch unless you camp. Which I've always found really boring.
It's really unlikely that any of these issues are going to be addressed. So I'd say that Knight is more or less stuck in his current state until further notice.
I won't sugar coat it: You need commitment if you want to do well with Knight.
I've won every game as knight with the 3 gen strat hens gave us. He's not hard to play at all for wins

Title. Killer is such a high-pressure experience that I am completely drained after 5 or so matches. To try to prevent this I make things manageable by having gen-regression builds but I hate how I need them to feel like I have a chance of winning. I start to feel so resentful to survivors that I'd BM sometimes. I had the urge to facecamp someone during end game.
I don't want to play a game out of hatred/spite. How can I manage this?
Go in with reasonable expectations. If you're looking for the 4k every game of course itll be stressful. Aim for 2 kills every game. Getting 3 is a bonus, 4 means you need to move up a tier.

Having my score impacted and being unable to complete challenges because of this gets old
Just to be clear, yes I agree survivors DC more often but you can still have a game with a dcing survivor while a killer dcing just ends it and you lose out on a lot because of it
It's all the survivor mains who are switching to killer because BHVR is slowly killing their flagship. The ones who are used to winning on ez mode second chance simulator. Long time killer players are just tired of getting all their best stuff nerfed because of survivors crying to daddy BHVR. It's nice to take a break from this dumpsterfire every now and then anyways

@Mandy said:
Will just say a lot of those are not quality of life changes but changes that affect gameplay themselves - things like hooks not permanently breaking for example, these are things that are in the game for balance, not quality of life.
A quality of life change are things like colour blind mode, the visual terror radius etc.
What part of survivors running to a corner Iof the map that there's no hooks on is balanced? Especially if they bring the branch offerings. Some maps it's impossible to even get hooks when they run multiple and play this way. I think we've reached a point in this game where they can at least try new things.

I'd say trapper. He's the face of the game but is one of the worst killers sadly. They should make it to where if they're already injured and step in a trap, they can't free themselves unless theyre the last survivor or if everyone else is either downed hooked or dead. If nor trapper probably onryo

However, survivors have asked and asked to prevent camping and tunnelling but nothing has happened except for base kit BT. How come the devs ignore their community?????? We asked for a solution to this problem, because it makes survivor a living hell and not fun to play when the killer tunnels them out. Killers cry and they get responded to. Survivors cry and they ignore us. It is just frustrating getting tunneled and camped out of a game.
For every one of these posts I see, I camp and tunnel 2 survivors out the game regardless of feelings 😈

Once as the dredge on grave of glendale I body blocked a survivor in the upstairs bedroom who tried to use ds unbreakable up there at endgame collapse, thinking I'd break the wall first and let him get a free escape.
