From what I heard from OhTofu, there's an exploit that Survivors can do to prevent being mori'ed. He didn't detail what exactly because he doesn't want others knowing about it.
-
I think his Ultra Rare could be an extension of Begrimed Chains in the fact that he already gets the effects that Begrimed gets, but with the added ability to add yet another status effect on them like a Hemorrhaged effect even when they're fully healed, but it has a negative trade off of it having a slightly longer charge time compared to Begrimed Chain

Can't verify, but pretty sure it's in reference to things like mint rag. It overrides that. But if you put a duration add on, it still works. So speed should work tooThanks for being the only one to answer at least something.

I dislike playing as the Nurse and Freddy. I can't stand how slow the Nurse is and how constantly fatigued you are from her blinks. Freddy should be obvious. I just hate how he suffers from permanent darkness basically because of how Dream World is and looks.

Lullaby and Devour Hope would definitely benefit from only lighting up when they actually start doing something. Lullaby giving away a hex notification from the very first skill check a Survivor gets is so dumb. They're not even affected by it yet and they shouldn't be getting a notification in the first place. If you can't notice that the skill checks are coming at ya faster, then you need glasses. Most Survivors can just relax, especially those streamers who will just read chat or whatever as they're repairing their Gen. If they're missing skill checks, they should know by that there's a Lullaby totem.

I've reached Rank 1 countless times without ever having to play just the "Meta Trifecta" Killers. There's also a lot of factors that can really fcuk you over like the map that you get alongside the RNG of how the map is generated. I can honestly say that the changes that have been made to the pallets have really made this easier. I can already tell you that the Clown is a good contender to be played at Red Ranks. I've already made to Rank 5, twice this same season (I deranked to Rank 15 twice; sorry peeps that I got in my games), but current Red Ranks are still bugged for Killers. Lobbies are extremely slow to fill or don't fill at all.
-
Yo, I'm so glad I decided to P3 him. I'll save ALL THE BLOODY COILS now!
-
If you get camped a lot, consider doing your team a favor and run Kindred. There's very little you can do if a Killer is proximity camping or face camping if nobody has Borrowed Time equipped. It's going to take a lot of team coordination and distraction for everybody to make it out from not going down immediately after saving you. At least with Kindred, if the Survivors are smart enough they possibly repair 3-4 Gens in the time span you're hooked.

Not really sure why you should be able to see survivor names if that was the problem. It's a huge leap to presume that some players should be allowed to dodge certain players, while others can't.You know, the same as creeping onto profiles and only accepting players with sub 50 hours to play against.
There should be an "Avoid Player" function nonetheless. Played against a pure-slugging billy three games late night and honestly it was a waste of time.
Yeah, it's not exactly fun to play against an actual sadistic person who gets gratification from ruining other players experiences e.g like you said, Killers that love to slug and won't hook until everybody is down or in my case, facing a Killer that loves to lag switch when they can't catch a Survivor.
The best part is that I had this guy blocked before, but I hadn't faced him in a long time.

Survivors used to be able to see the Killers names.Until they abused the ######### out of it and dodged all know “X Killer I don’t like to play against (Nurse mostly)” any Killer that camped, Tunneld, ect. This lead to MASSIVE wait times for both sides. Survivors whined it took forever to get games when the problems was they were dodging every Killer they got matched with and had the name for.. Killers had HUGE wait times cause you were dodged because you played a way Survivors didn’t like, a Killer they didn’t like, ect.
So really, blame your own Survivor pals. They kind of screwed the pooch for you.
Well damn, I play both sides, killer more, but lobbies have dried up for me. #JustRank4Killer problems

No, this would be dumb. The Doctor is already slower in this mode and there's some Doc's who don't play with range extending add-on's and would render 2 of his add-on's useless which both increase the madness gained from the static field. Doc isn't a Killer you're supposed to be able to stealth from. He's the only Killer that can do this.
-
You sure you on the right forum? I don't think I've ever heard the Survivors to DBD referred to as Counselors.
-
Wasted licensing fees the Devs would have to pay if nobody plays him. He'd have to get reworked first.
-
All I need is Jakeface and I have all the faces. Jake should be seen more often now that he has that Johnny Depp/Antonio Banderas look going on.
-
I'll take Ruin off sometimes, but it's kinda of a gamble. Ruin is just there to buy you as much as time as possible. The first encounter with a Survivor determines the outcome of the match. If you don't have it, there's a huge chance you're aboutta get Gen Rushed and you'll never able to catch anybody especially with Doc since he can't build bloodlust as easily as other Killers since using his Shock Therapy just resets the bloodlust timer so chases take much longer than they should. I suggest replacing Ruin with either NOED or Remember Me. Survivors are going to have to one of either 2 things, they're noticing the game is going by way too quickly and will start becoming weary of an imminent NOED so they won't repair the Gens if they're smart, but if you decide to run Remember Me instead, those Survivors breaking totems in anticipation of NOED just wasted their time which is good. idk man, it's hard to say with Doc. I used to main him, but I've since moved on from him.
-
I remember the Devs saying that stuff like this is caused by the way the geometry on some objects are that cause the Killer to accidently break LoS which isn't intended.

@Mercury said:
I kind of had been hoping he would be able to prevent window jumps or pallet drops upon a direct hit, perhaps 2,5 seconds like the Doctor can. So a direct hit actually feels rewarding.That would make sense since he can actually interrupt Survivors working on Gens and unhooking with the bottles on direct hits.
-
I quite enjoy Antonio Banderas Jake.
-
@Yuhg said:
Also, the reason why the bottles don't do damage it's because then one of the addons, wich gets the survivor in the exposed effect so you can one shot them would make no sensePossibly the hardest Ultra Rare add-on to get used properly next to the Diamond Stone. I might say even harder than Diamond Stone because the Exposed effect only works for the duration of the effects of being hit with bottle.
-
It depends on your Rank. If you're anywhere above Rank 4. You're SOL like me. No Survivors are at this Rank and with the lobbies not being forced to fill after not finding Survivors for 3 mins like they're intended to. I had to resort to using an alt account to combat the lobby glitch that the Devs have no idea what's causing it so there's no date to when it'll get fixed.
-
Even though I know the Clown isn't top tier and probably won't viable at high ranks, I'll add him to list because he's fun to play.
*1 - Pig
*2 - Hillbilly
*3 - Myers
*4 - Huntress
*5 - Clown -
Doctor is far from being overpowered. This is a tired question people that are new to the game think. Just play against the Doctor as you normally would any other Killer.
-
Lolz, our reward is for testing out major changes coming to the live game. Even better that it's the first time we really test out a new Chapter before it's fully released.

If you are constantly looking down it might be because you are trying to play him like the Huntress.The arc is made to make it easier to throw over walls, objects, and through windows (inside buildings).
Aiming directly at a survivor is hard indeed which was the desired effect. Try to aim at specific locations or pathways instead, you will have a much easier time. Aiming higher also make the smoke spread more.
hope that help, thanks!
if aiming directly at a survivor is almost impossible, why make an ultra rare addon that REQUIRES IT if you want to use that addon?
If it's so hard and rare, why not just bake it into his kit alltogether and figure out another ultra rare for him?
It's bad enough that the exposed effect only lasts until the slow is gone ( 2 seconds or so ).
I second this. His Ultra Rare add-on needs to be looked at. This Killer doesn't exactly have an easy to aim projectile and even if you do hit them with the bottle, the Exposed effect lasts next to nothing. It's a high risk reward with very little pay off because it doesn't last long enough to even down them.
-
Use up the Killers best add-on's, Survivor Puddings and Party Streamers and save up to a Million BPs if you want to prestige.

Yes, we definitely tried multiple versions of the power, the current one was the one that we found to be the most interesting, different and fun (for both sides). Sometimes we forget that the other side is not an AI, but a player.BTW the vision penalty is stronger if you hit Survivor directly with the bottle.
We have something in mind that we could do to make pallet unsafe as you are referring, but we are waiting for more data before making that change to his power. We already have a couple of little modification being done at the moment, that we should be discussing soon.
Thanks!
Thanks for the continued responses. Would you be able to answer if getting hit directly with the bottle also slows down the Survivor running speed compared to them just running through the gas cloud? It seems to be that way.

@DocOctober said:
Sorry to disappoint you, but Tinkerer is utterly useless on the Huntress. If you use the Babushka and the Braid with Tinkerer, it's less than 0.2s of a difference to using them without it, nowhere near the promised 10%. Not worth a Perk Slot if you ask me.You do realize it's 10% of 0.10 (Grass Braid) and 0.20 (Babushka). That speeds the Braid up to .11 and Babushka to 0.22. So in total a 3%(0.33% with both+Tinkerer and .30%-Tinkerer) increase in speed with Tinkerer with both of those add-on's.

She's a babe.
The main feature is obviously the boob physics.
Her perks are decent. Boil Over doesn't seem all that great seems too situational, but Windows of Opportunity and Dance With Me are great. (Especially Dance with Me + Lithe)Her scream is kinda weird tho.
There's jiggle physics now? Why doesn't the Clown's belly have it then? lol

@Janick said:
It was tested and judged way too strong, it was also too close to The Huntress and discarded. It was not the direction we wanted, he's more an AOE control area Killer than a direct hit Killer.When players realize this, that aiming at Survivors is not the best strategy he will move up the ranks. We want to give players time to try it out and discover his full potential.
The same thing happened with the Pig with a number of players complaining that the RBTraps were not killing Survivors, which was not their main purpose.
hope that help, thanks!
Thank you for the reply! Especially from a Dev standpoint. That's all I wanted to know what was the reasoning behind him not being able to hurt Survivors with the bottles.

@White_Owl said:
So a glass bottle should have the same effect of a hatchet? Interesting.You've never see thick glass bottles like the one The Clown has? lol That ######### could probably cause a concussion
-
To add to the statement above, you don't want to aim directly at the Survivor, you have to be smarter than that. Strategically throw the bottles in spots the Survivor wants to loop, like right before and after a pallet or a window vault. You want to slow them as much as possible to get close to hit them. Like, if you seem them running for a pallet, lob that ######### ahead of them to make them think twice about using that loop. More often than not they'll take their chances through the gas and it might buy just enough time to get close to them to hit them before they can throw the pallet down.
-
@Judgement said:
Exactly what Madjura said.
If his bottles did direct damage to Survivors, the Clown would essentially be a Huntress with AoE Status Effects.
He already has most of Huntress' Status Add-Ons kit, being able to slow, blind, and deafen Survivors with his ability. He's in a pretty good place right now.While this would make him similar to the Huntress, it's not like the projectiles are as fast as the hatchets. Charging them up just makes them go further and not faster. He also has a larger arch to aim with. At least make them get stunned a little longer if they're directly hit with bottle. I'm still trying to figure out what the whole point of getting the survivor screaming notification bubble which it only appears if they're directly hit with the bottle is for.
-
Just remember that his potions slow you down every time he hits you with one so that might be why it seems he's faster.
-
I got the hang of throwing the bottles with the insane arc after a few matches. This is definitely a Killer you're going to want to stick to for a fair bit so you don't get rusty with throwing arc.I was finding myself getting headshots with the bottles quite often. You don't necessarily have to aim down to hit them at about 2-4M. Just tap at the button and it should throw it at just that range.
Also, you get a screaming notification if you hit them directly on like the Doctor or when you step in a bear trap. -
Yeah, I don't understand why they haven't give each Killer their own unique chase music by now. Only Myers has a unique chase music. They should be taking advantage of that ######### .
-
Did Survivors suddenly forget that Left Behind is a perk? Because that's a 25% speed boost you're asking for. If you don't want to sacrifice a perk slot for an end game perk that nobody has used then you really shouldn't be asking for even more currently survivor sided hatch stand off and . It will probably begin to slowly creep its way into the meta if you really want the hatch so badly.
-
The only Killer perk that should be nerfed is none. Killers are the underpowered ones here outside the Nurse. All the "OP" killer perks have huge counters. Sprint Burst and DS are the ones that I find can ######### a Killer hard. A Killer's power should not be neglected because a Survivor suddenly Sprint Burst away. #########'s so stupid that it can outrun The Pig's ambush attack which should have been a successful hit, but nope, gets outran because of a silly perk Survivors don't even have to charge like The Pig's dash attack or the Billy's chainsaw.

I think them removing the injured music would be a bit too much. Maybe if the audio for it was lowered to half.

I don't think they're stealing anything. My only gripe is that it keeps getting pushed with no news posted as to why exactly. I mean, they take our money immediately so at least we should know the exact concrete date. It's clear there must be a manufacturing delay of some kind... there's also the fact that the DBD store is located in Germany so it's gonna take ANOTHER month to get here.
-
If we do get anything, it might end up being the full trailer with a proper release date on the same day the PTB comes out to stir up hype.
-
Use Spine Chill and Resilience if you want a faster window vault.
-
The problem with Leatherface is like others have said, his acceleration add-on's that are supposed to allow him to cover more ground don't actually do what they say. There's a video on the subreddit that showed the acceleration was merely more of a placebo or it isn't working as intended.
There's also the fact that the chainsaw slows you down when you charge it so you have to be right on their ass for the chainsaw to even hit which doesn't even make sense.
There's also the fact you can't throttle his chainsaw like you can Billy's. I have been severely ######### over by letting go of the charge a half second too early because I was trying to get the chainsaw off faster than I thought making it so the Survivor can now loop me even longer than they were supposed to.

I love M&A on Leatherface, extremely helpful. I personally like it on all my killers because it allows me to sneak up on stealthers without giving them a chance to hide as well as scare the survivors on gens from my large terror radius in chases which actually rewards me more time.
M&A seems to make LF's terror radius seem so much smaller than it is. I've had him show up so close to me before giving me a terror radius.
