I think so. Lately The Game stage has felt pretty dark. It feels like little UE5 tweaks are made to the graphics with every update. Some maps seem dark, and also I’ve noticed some maps have gotten more lush foliage.

Why wouldn't BHVR state this in notes or something? Or have they, and I just missed it lol
I believe it's a bug from the new update maps getting brighter or darker then usual

Higher skill potential but then suggests things that eliminate said skill potential.
What kinda skill is eliminated when your completely immune to a power for a long time? Making the killer a m1 with no way to use his power in the first place

I would reduce the clocks from 5 to 4 and increase their cooldown from 40 to 60 seconds.
That way you'd have 1 clock per Survivor and their cooldown would match the passive sleeping timer. As long as you don't fail at being alive for a bit, you shouldn't have any issues with waking up.. since there are also 2 other ways of waking up (3 if you have Plot Twist).
How many clocks spawn is it really 5? Seems more then that 60 seconds cooldown would be a fair change

He is really good, I have to say sorry for my hard words.
The only thing which really is something to improve for me is the Alarm Clock-Cooldown. They are too often in play.Either 60 seconds global cooldown or revert it back to the farthest clock

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/437568/how-s-freddy-feeling-so-farThere’s input lag between canceling the snares and trying to click the button to activate the pallets which I find annoying when a survivor runs into the area of a pallet but cannot quickly switch. Also the dream world is bugged where sole trials start without one. I already put a bug report for that. Also there is a weird filter on the side of the screen when playing which is annoying. There’s alot of small bugs that need to be fixed. Also the alarm clocks are insane. Besides that he’s fun

Seriously something needs to be done about this. In my last 5 games as survivor in Chaos Shuffle, I've been hard camped and tunneled starting at 5 gens, 3 of those matches. It does not make me want to play Chaos Shuffle with how horrifically sweaty killers are playing and I play both sides. A lot of people go "Well if Survivors wouldn't play like this every Chaos Shuffle round then I wouldn't camp and tunnel" but the amount of sweaty killers to sweaty survivors is so far apart that the entire grand canyon could fit between them and there would still be a gap between them. I feel like at this point hard camping and tunneling in event queues needs to become bannable. No one is playing event queues because they want to sweat their ass off and it is incredibly unfun to actually try and play the game mode and not be able to do anything because the killer just happened to see me first and I will be dead before I can do anything else. If you want to sweat that hard, please do everyone a favor and go back to the regular queues. Clearly you don't have intent to actually play the mode.
Edit: My initial "solution" isn't actually a good idea nor do I think the devs should actually do it. I just said it out of annoyance of the round I had just come out of. I still believe a solution needs to be found and implemented, but making it sound "illegal" as someone in the comments said, is too far from me.
Because it's the easiest I'm not ashamed to say spreading pressure to others is very difficult and most of the time a determent especially in shuffle if you want base protection against tunneling and camping them killers will have to have slowdown and regression as a tradeoff

Its a really great skin but since SM is so garbage and unfun to play now nobody will buy it

Maybe an iri could take a picture of the survivor and create a static copy the person who took the picture can place somewhere, like as a decoy.
Like mirrored illusion perk? What about when copying the build you copy their look too?

Considering there are hundreds of perks in the game, and both sides have maybe a dozen or so useful ones, it shouldn't surprise you that you get all useless ones.
What I'm saying is that it's choosing a small handful of those useless perk

That's my point. It's her one ability really that gives her any sort of edge. In the case of Chucky his entire kit was broken against low to mid tier survivors which is 90% of the player pool.
I'd personally say she's low B tier, a lot of people just don't really know how to effectively use her powers, including streamers and content creators I've watched complain. I think her new buffs put her safely in low B.
and now chuckys just dead

not anymore, he takes 0.45 seconds which is faster then survivor fast vaulting. houndmaster is like Xenomorph or Nemesis now. fairely good chase but still needs to wait between hits. you can technically machine gun survivor if you don't use hound grab and m1 them with search mode to catch-up but it's flimsy. i think if houndsense actually did something like made her dog grab instant down, she might be A-tier killer if her lethality was better and Knot rope add-on nerf doesn't help her case. B-tier is good place to be in as killer.

Didn't play a real match yet, only few matches in custom with bots to test it out, but first time I had fun to play her.
0.15 seconds camera redirect and faster dog's vault made a lot of difference, but also I didn't notice any bugs.
I will test her in real matches later, don't think she will perform good against strong survivors even after these changes, but seems like bearable against average survivors.
Create this post to ask how everyone feel about her after update?shes starting to become playable however theres still a bunch of things wrong with her.
Snug gets stuck on things still. Search aiming at objectives is very difficult. Search pathing is extremely bad

Hopping in to provide a little context on this, the team has been closely monitoring The Houndmaster's performance and determined that Knotted Rope posed a potential balancing risk when paired with certain perks and addons. They're currently re-evaluating this addon and plan to revisit it in 2025, but ultimately wanted to ensure that heading into the holidays, the risk of an over-tuned combo was minimized.
We know larger balancing changes like this can be frustrating, but we appreciate your patience as at the end of the day, we want to ensure there's a solid balance between having fun as the Killer and playing against the Killer. So basically confirms Devs are just on this mindset trip of huge Nerfs now fix it later in a year. Which is a terrible thing to do

I think it'd be fair to have totem progress regress, so that a scream perk can't negate totem-cleansing but chasing survivors off of totems still works.
I also think the gates should regress (to specific thresholds, not completely) but that's a different topic.
This i do think would fair compromise for both sides so progress isnt instantly deleted nor immediately destroyed

I love seeing the outcry from entitled killers about this killer. Obviously, she's not overpowered like meta killers. Go play another game that requires actual effort to win and you'll come back realizing the new killer is on par with how gaming should be. Both sides having a chance to win is what PvP games should really be about.
Also, if you are expecting to play a killer after a couple days and win all your matches as you probably do with other broken killers, then this is not a problem with the killer but an entitled mindset.
This is just major seething from you. Houndmaster is genuinely terrible in every way extremely buggy and janky, Dog Ai gets stuck on tons of thing having no power at times, Dog grabs pull away from the killer instead of towards.
Your defending a killer being borderline unusable in some bs advocation for "Fairness" if can call it that. But ok take this unplayable killer we'll just go back to killers who actually work and give value

well obviously Devs are adamant on having a downside to a Trade off so pick the blindness status effect cause thats the best we can hope for

While she is nowhere near overpowered, people also seem to underestimate her. She is not the worst killer in the game, she just has a high skill ceiling.
Disagree her Ceiling is medium at best she just has a raised skill floor but once survs actually get used to them itll be over for her and they can settle in upper Dtier
-
Never thought id see the day Singularity is op thread Singu was 150% effort killer for 50% pay off now singu gets a 100% payoff hes still one of thee most technical killers with high skill ceiling Singu deserves to be rewarded
-
@Reinami said:
This doesn't really work, all it does is encourage the killer to tunnel the person who was just unhooked.
Lets say it gives, IDK a 50% repair speed penalty. Why would i chase the guy who is going to repair gens slower, and not the guy who was just unhooked, injured and so on? Seems a bit counter intuitive.
What they need to stop doing is putting in perk bandaid fixes to counter tunneling and just make tunneling impossible from a gameplay perspective. Make survivors share hooks, give some kind of immunity/timeout to survivors who get unhooked. Then balance the game around killers going for hooks instead of kills. The game would be so much more fun for everyone if they did that.
how about changing it to oblivious or blindness

I wish I could say Im having fun with her but Im having the hardest time learning her power…ppl are saying her skill floor is high and I believe them. Im only using her perks since I wanted to achievement so its extra hard v.v I was hoping we may get a killer who was a nice pickup and play and not have to suffer for 50+ matches just to learn their basics. Guess I wait and see if I can find some videos with tips in a few weeks.
its major cope from people hoping shes good her skill floor is low to mid at best
-
@BroRespectTheBoop said:
The dog needs a cooldown or a nerf.. the fact that she can send it out and make it hop over a pallet to grab you and then it can hold you and pull you just makes her a more OP deathslinger. It takes longer to escape the dog, survivors dont help you, and it hinders you worse than the artists birds.
is this bait or a major skill issue Houndmaster is literally the worst killer in the game atm
-
@SidneysBane1996 said:
I'm excited for her. Killers don't need to be S tier to be fun and valid and do okay, they don't even need to be A tier.
This is why I think tierlists screwed the community up hard, everyone is up their own behinds about "strong Killer this" and "weak Killer that" and "balance for A tier MINIMUM like you can't do anything with a weaker kit. But people main weaker Killers anyway… so what does that really say? That strength doesn't matter as much. Skill does.
id prefer if they were a B tier as a fair Standard for killer

In theory yes.
Unfortunately, I just don't see anything they can realistically do to even out the queues. Large BP bonuses didn't work the first time and buffing survivor to have more things to do isn't really doing it this round either.
The "2" in 2v8 is always going to be more popular. Everyone will want to kwf every time over "stare at gen progress bars, but with even more random pubs".
And things like 2v6 or adding bots I don't think will solve the issue either. Bots already, and always will, feel like a cheap solution. Adding bots in the lobby, by design, is basically an admission that the game mode is just looking for killer fodder.
A 2v6 mode might work, but would likely involve even more buffs to survivors, and just look at the level of complaining we're already seeing about that in 2v8 (which, again, isn't enough to solve the queue issue).
The only thing I've seen mentioned that might work would be more of a 5v5 mode, but that's just scrapping 2v8 entirely also.
if bots dont work then Devs are just gonna have to merge 1v4 and 2v8 Queues with a lobby dodge penalty. No more seperate gamemodes its gonna be one big playlist

I doubt slugging will ever totally go away. The big thing with BGP/aggressive survivors in general is to stay patient. It's rare that all 4 survivors play a perfect game. Keep chipping away at health states and take what they give you. Be ready to capitalize when one of them makes a mistake or overextends.
i agree but dear lord the pallet save bgp strat feels truly uncounterable

Dodging because of Prestige was silly, sorry. Prestige means nothing, in theory someone can own a P100-Survivor without ever playing Survivor. And it is not like P100s were rare nowadays.
It is safe to assume that most games were with full P100-Lobbies when it comes to Survivors, which just the difference that the Survivors were not using their P100s. And in the end, you face the same players, regardless if they use their P100-Mains or the P2-Survivors they are just levelling.
was it silly? Yeah but we still did it regardless but i can remember names at least now and if i have to face the one i hate tunnel & camp

I've brought up a similar point before. I compared it to SWFs. People are very quick to denounce SWFs, even though statistically speaking the majoity aren't that good, nor are they very common, just like SM. But a good SWF looking to just BM the killer all match has soured SWF as a whole for alot of people, which is also the case for SM. She is like the SWF of killer when it comes to "bad reputations" It's true that not every SM plays that way, but it's also true not every SWF plays that way. That doesn't stop people from wanting to delete SWF from the game entirely, and many people have voiced a desire for some kind of way to be informed if they are playing against a SWF so they can lobby dodge, the way that survivors do in SM matches because they don't have that option in the lobby.
I don't endorse it, but I understand it.
Im asking alot but then how do we make her accepted? We could continue chasing reworks but players will never be happy for them wasting devs time even if they curb all the problems with her originally they'll harp on the new things. Do we Revert the changes and tell the entitled players to stuff it and make more changes to stomp out the DCs and Going next on hook epidemic or do we just delete her and ruin what few people loved about her. I am lost

The only issue I have with that is despite face camping Bubba being very prevalent, and untouched for literal years, people generally love Bubba. Even that is in spite of the fact he's a buggy, inconsistent mess. I don't think there's ever been a point where Bubba didn't have something bugged or unintended in his kit, even now, yet people still like Bubba.
Same for Huntress and Pyramid Head, who are still absolutely capable of their agregious and unfun gameplay...
Skull Merchant's agregious gameplay on the other hand has been nerfed 3 times. 1 with one AFC, 1 through a complete rework and then 1 through a butchering nerf to Skull Merchant herself.
What really gets me is Singularity can do pretty much the same thing Skull Merchant used to do, stall out the game by hard holding a 3-gen, only tempered by the very nerf Skull Merchant brought in... yet he basically gets away with no criticism whatsoever.
People hate Skull Merchant on principle. Nothing more... and while I acknowledge the long list of flaws with Skull Merchant, at some point it switches from a Skull Merchant issue to a community issue, and I'd argue we are far past that point.
Bubba is simple id have to say, you get touched by the saw you done yeah hes known for camping cause his power but he has no map pressure and easy to deal with at loops. So people dont hate him as much yeah he needs a QOL patch though
