  • Y'all just hate the idea of springtrap because fnaf became a meme. It really shouldn't. The game's lore is about kids dying and being tortured for several years. "ThE mAn BehiND tHE SLauGhTer" its really a man that slaughtered children and hid their bodies. In the last fnaf game you see what's like being deceived by him. This game is way darker than any other killer in DbD. At this point Fnaf is 6 years old and it changed the world of horror and indie games since its conception. It's already an icon since everyone knows what it is. Y'all argue about his power, his weapon, Survivor and map and that's FOR THE DEVS TO DECIDE, none of the Killer's so far had a predictable mechanic so its useless to ask for that. If you don't want it in the game, fine, but a lot of people want it and we're doing our best to express that to the devs. Quit being negative about other people's dreams because you think "FNAF it's cringe".

Who's Vanny? My knowledge of FNAF currently only extends as far as Sister Location.

To explain the lore in the last 3 fnaf games you've missed in a DbD forum would be more difficult than making the Fnaf dlc itself.

We actually don't need a survivor, a chapter with a map and two killers would be better imo. Springtrap and Vanny would be perfect.

Vanny it's too new, I bet about 0.1% of DBD community knows that Glitchtrap even exists (even though a Glitchtrap skin would be my instant buy). Two Killers it's an interesting concept, but impossible for the devs to make it in time :/

  • They are literally made of dirt, blood, glass shards and eyeballs. OF COURSE they are gluten free ;)

Listen, i have ABS nothing against Fnaf, but i don't think it should be in near future, there sre still some legends like (Pennywise, Pinhead, Chucky, Jason) to be added, after that they could, but its complicated, what would his power be? What map? What survivor?

(Sorry for any misspellings, English isn't my first language)

One thing I noticed in everyone saying "But there's still other licensed Killers way more important than fnaf" is that everyone seems to forget about who've already been added to the game.

First of all, devs considers what the community wants, but that's not what defines who's added in the game. There was not a giant part of the community asking for Pyramid Head and Demogorgon, but there they are, in the game and they are very natural in it. People have been asking for Pinhead since ever and there's nothing that hints at him being added to the game in the near future.

About his powers, that's also for the devs to decide as it's a game design matter, but I'm sure they can manage as well as they did for every other licensed character.

About the map, if it is Springtrap then Fazbear Frights (FNaF3 Location) would be perfect, fitting the same aesthetic as the Lery's Memorial Institute. "Um, actually that location it's too small for a map". Yes, but just as the devs said in the Stranger Things DLC, the Entity can modify the location, making it more fitting for the trials in the same way Hawkins Lab isn't really depicted as it is in the original source, but recreated by the Entity to be used in the trials. Therefore, Fazbear Frights would fit quite nice in the game.

Let alone the non-existent need for a Survivor in the every DLC, the security guard we play in most fnaf games would be great for the role. I don't know if the creator of fnaf, Scott Cawthon, would agree with giving a face to his faceless character, but if there's going to have a Survivor, I can only imagine being him if the DLC is going to be based on the games.

  • These are nice suggestions, I suppose they're already aware of all of them since these suggestions were in one of the last satisfactions surveys (except for Killer's having different Moris).

  • A natural 5/10/15% slowdown would be perfect. It's a high reward so it would actually make sense for ruin to keep on being a Hex. It's not op, it's not weak, very efficient when combined with other slowdown perks and it doesn't punish new players. I think it would be a great change.

  • Even if it was a bug, doesn't mean it needs a NERF, it has to be FIXED. Those are completely different things.

  • Now that you mentioned... yeah, yes I can see Meg Thomas

  • I had forgotten about it and now I miss it so much :(

  • I don't see that as a big deal. Its a 4 cosmetic difference, he's still have 26 cosmetics. It's not like the devs hate Adam. It just happens for him not to be a very popular character, but he's not that far from average.

  • Would it be a good change if they made it so, as a survivor, if you die you don't pip?

  • @anonymous31337 said:

BTW we also need rewards for devotion level

We'll make it sadly denies, that the healing boost can go over 100%. :(

I supposed it would nullify other perks that give bonus % of speed. Does it nullify medkits too?

  • @S_Panda said:

Another choice is botany knowledge, gives 33% efficiency and speed up of healing. Then you can also have 33% faster healing on allies without wasting your medkit on them.

Use a medkit with increased speed Add-ons + we'll make it. Unhook someone and now you can insta-heal survivors by looking at their direction across the map

  • No, just trying to positive for a change. I have literally nothing better to do.

  • Seeing that you can already report them for that, they'll probably get banned.

  • I get the frustration, but you don't need to be that harsh. It may not even be the game itself.

    Assuming i'm going all out...

    Equipment
    • Power: Wailing Bell
    • Add-on 1: "Windstorm" - Blood
    • Add-on 2: "Swift Hunt" - Blood
    • Offering: Survivor Pudding / Bloody Party Streamers
    • Perk 1: Barbecue & Chili
    • Perk 2: Make Your Choice
    • Perk 3: Enduring
    • Perk 4: Spirit Fury
    Playstyle

I never just bee-line it to Generators, there's almost always enough cover to get closer without setting Survivors off in comparison to your regular 32-meter Terror Radius Killers.

If i suspect Spine Chill, i put the Generator's Aura on either side of my screen, that should help.

Sprint Burst, at this point, is my biggest concern.

Wraith's super lunge can catch up to it, but it's pretty precise timing and i can easily misjudge their behaviour on when they'll actually use it. (They always do the regular walk until they think i'm about to be fully uncloaked.)

The safe bet is to not go for it at all and bait out their sprint, staying in my faster-moving cloaked mode to catch up again.

I might actually catch them off guard thanks to "Swift Hunt", but usually the 2nd ring gives them the signal to start running.

Mindgames at loops are very important on mr. M1 here, simply following them will give them exactly what they want.

An important part with these mindgames actually occurs before the loop: Did i mindlessly follow them to the loop?

Or did i follow them in the same way i patrolled those Generators earlier?

If they don't see where i come from to the loop, i'll gain a massive advantage.

There's that regular loop with a Pallet between 2 small L walls.

I don't know what it is, but it's very rare for Survivors to run away unscathed from me at those.

Let's assume it went well: Hook 'em, then i do what i always do: Just go away.

No matter how hardcore i wanna play, i'm not gonna camp or tunnel (except tunnel until they're on the Hook), bores me greatly, so even if there's 0 Auras, i usually zoom out of there anyway.

I won't skip a free hit: If i see someone hiding nearby, that's my next target.

    But usually i'm gone.

If i got nothing to go on and MYC triggers, you bet i'm going back for mr. Unhooker.

Generally, if i managed that sneaky approach, the first hit is easier than the second hit.

So why not buff that first hit, right?

As for Enduring + Spirit Fury: Tank only the first 2 Pallets, don't just mindlessly spent the SF charge on any Pallet.

If i tank the first 2, they will know i tank them and will often drop the next Pallet earlier than necessary to be safe, which is great.

When i get to those infamous spots like the long wall or the Killer Shack, that's where i want to spent the charge.

They never make it to the Window on either examples i stated, and running away mostly also results in me catching up.

Once they are fully aware of this combination, some might not stun me anymore.

Not the best outcome, but this has its positives as well, like wasting less time per loop because of an early drop out of not wanting to provide SF with charges.

Besides, me saying "some" is just about right: Most still will.

Bonus: If they drop the Pallet and i managed to hit them with it, they will have used up a Pallet, they will have lost most of their Injured-sprint from dropping it & i will recover faster from hitting them due to that animation being cancelled by the stun animation, which is way faster thanks to Enduring.

P.S. Corn is my best friend!

I have NO troubles seeing through it & it perfectly (not quite perfect, but y'know) covers my cloak, allowing for ambushes as if there was a wall there.

Not only that, they will always assume i will be partially blinded from the corn, running into the field as if they're just as safe as with Pallets, doing 360s to try and confuse me.

And not only that, they seem to not learn, as they'll try the corn again after their first chase in it, regardless of how that chase turned out.

P.P.S. It must be really hard to Lightburn Wraiths now, huh?

I've had the Flashlight shine on me for a good 2 seconds at one point, but i still uncloaked successfully.

OP: "Describe your Playstyle in a few sentences."

Boss: "In the beginning The Entity created The Survivor and The Killer..." "...And then The Entity said, Let there be fog: and there was fog..."

  • Killer: Trapper

Perks: Sloppy Butcher, Dying Light, Ruin and B&C (Thanato is good on him too)

Add-ons: Anything to carry more bear traps and to make them darker

Playstyle: Early-game I'll set as many traps as possible. Always try to put them in pallets w/ grass, loops and places survivors run without much care. Mid-game is all about chasing, patrolling gens and setting more traps. Near the late-game try to set traps on both gates, so you'll know where the remaining survivor(s) are (its nearly impossible for a solo survivor to escape through the gates in this situation).

  • Killer: Legion

Perks: M&A, B&C, Ruin and Dying Light (Thanato is a good one too)

Add-ons: Anything to fill the power gauge faster + Anything to increase FF duration

Playstyle: I'll patrol gens until I find survivors, hit as many survivors I can with Feral Frenzy and chase. Hook, use B&C to find more survivors and repeat.

  • I'm surprised that even after the last change he's still playable. If I could change anything... Probably stop Feral Frenzy from decreasing while damaging generators/opening lockers or allow to grab survivors during Feral Frenzy.

  • They're all either game-breaking ou useless

  • All of your progress is saved online.

  • I'm bleeding, I'm dying, I'm crawling and I'm a zooming all around the place

  • I believe trials take place outside time and space, in the Entity's domain. The locations are not real, they're generated by the Entity. I also believe there's no time, as the Entity's realms are always foggy and dark and it doesn't seem to have a day/night cycle.

  • @Peanits said:

I would say that looking at it that way at all is the wrong way to go about it. You should never view it as "nerf killers" or "buff killers". To look at killers as a whole and make a blanket statement like that would show that you aren't really putting any thought into it. You should always consider things on an individual basis, whether that's a killer, a perk, an item, or anything else.

e.g. "Mettle of Man OP" isn't a reason to nerf survivors across the board.

I can't see the changes to Legion otherwise. Now his add-ons no longer apply effect in the first survivor being injured during FF. FF attacks no longer count as basic attacks, making multiple perks considerably less useful with him. Mending time is being reduced, making his power considerably less useful. That's not a fair balance to one of the weakest killers in the game. And to "balance" this, now he can vault faster during FF? How is that fair balance? Legion was fun to play at the beginning, but I'm aware of the amount of exploits that could be used with his power. After the rework, he's very weak, but still fun to play and you still able to win if you are a skilled Legion. Now he's just a survivor with a knife who can run a little faster and give borrowed time to other survivors.

  • @thrawn3054 said:

By buffing killers that need it. Nurse needed a nerf. Probably not as severe as she got. But that's another story. Spirit needed a change. Though again not the one she got. Legion was absolutely toxic. Though again they went to far. Honestly their power should be scrapped for something else. Ghostface would be fine if his reveal mechanic wasn't so unreliable from both sides. All that said they need to start buffing the lower tier killers. It doesn't even need to be big buffs. Small QoL changes to start would help.

Legion was toxic at the beginning. After the big nerf he is one of the weakest in the game and for some reason he's getting nerfed again and Survivors are getting buffed.

  • All of you are annoyed by the fact that "I was exposing him and still got marked". Looking at him makes him lose his power but he still able to stalk during that time. You don't instantly cancel his powers by looking at him, you have to expose him, then he loses his powers.

  • @SaintDenisSlasher said:

    For the memes dude lol

I mean come on what other reason could there be! A lot of people say "nobody asked for so and so" but this time its actually true, if you let the most toxic die hard survivor mains decided who to nerf in what order i have little doubt legion would be a the bottom of the list

Actually most of them ABSOLUTELY HATE Legion even now and they won't stop hating it after the changes because they simply want them out of the game.

  • In that Level 4 bug, all challenges were 60k BP

  • People selling skins that were supposed to be free.

  • Or to "fix it", as you said.

  • Because for me, they're giving us a solution for multiple problems while you see this as a new problem. Otherwise, you wouldn't make a post giving a proposal to solve it.

  • Giving all of these skins away for free isn't going to solve all the missing skins problem and partially deal with the scam market?

  • So players losing the exclusivity of their skins isn't a problem?

  • @AbstractPolygon said:

If you're going to try and develop an arguement to try and persuade someone maybe you shouldn't keep constantly bringing up stuff that was never said?

Well you said that losing exclusivity of skins is a problem (the title of the post and your initial propose suggest that a player who had exclusive skins being mistaken with someone who got it for free is a problem (because they won't be able to be proud of themselves using anymore for some reason?)). Then you suggested for the Legacy effect to be given to these exclusive skins (ultimately invalidating your point since the legacy skins are actually exclusive and the same problem would apply to players losing their legacy effect exclusivity). Still doesn't solve the problem for players who lost their exclusive skins (since there's way to many of them and it would take a lot of time to verify one by one). You did say that you didn't want the devs to give free exclusive skins (which they're also doing to end the scam market and you are aware of it) because they would stop being exclusive, so they should just leave it alone, not solving it. So yeah... My interpretation of what you said it's pretty valid.

  • Either way, it would be more time and effort put to get multiple devotions just to get that one skin. And it still doesn't solve the disappearing skins for players who already had them (feels unfair to make them play the game and put A LOT of effort for something the already had and lost to a bug).

Better for them just to give these skins for free and make new ones for the devotion system, since with your logic the devotion system gets useless again after Devotion 13.

  • Saying that "I don't want the devs to end the exclusivity of skins because I want exclusivity because I was lucky I didn't lose my exclusive skins due to a bugged system and even if they are doing to end the scam market, they just shouldn't because I'm going to lose my exclusive pixels" doesn't sound childish, egocentric and ridiculous... Well, then I just feel like I can't change your mind. Good luck with that thought

  • First, I like the idea of getting something through the Devotion system (that's actually useless). But still, takes a lot of time to get one Devotion, and there would be no reward for players who that already have these skins. So, at least for skins that already exist, it's a bad idea.

Second, the "exklusiv" content from the Rift will be exclusive for at least 6 months after the Rift closes.

Third, there's way too many people losing their cosmetics for the devs to keep track of. So it's easier for them to just give them away for free (as it was intended), also eliminating the scam market of most skins.

  • You said that it would be easier to just let it alone and eventually it would run out of codes. Problem is: less codes = more expensive and no one knows how many codes there are out there. I heard about people having MANY of them, so "letting it solve itself" it's not a solution. You saying that that's how it should be instead of the devs doing something about this (such as giving the skins that were supposed to be free as free skins to everyone) is defending it.

  • Here's you saying it. And the "Exclusive" label its not really exclusive. Although I get the frustration, there's really nothing that can be done after they said they're releasing it. It is the easiest and probably the only way to guarantee that every player who had those have them back but since you're not REALLY losing anything, just getting some skins (if you didn't had them all), then it's easier to just accept and move on

  • @PolarBear said:

I know tomes last forever but if you haven't done a challenge in a tome during it's specific rift, can you complete it during another rift and claim the rift fragments?

No. Each new tome comes with a new rift with fragments that can be claimed to it specifically. All the fragments you don't claim in Tome 1 for the current Rift will be gone after the rift closes. You'll only be able to claim the BP.

Might be best to quit the game and then report them from the end game screen.

GF can just grab you, break the Gen and then keep you at his shoulder, until you escape and then repeat.

Now there's people complaining about this post complaining about people who complain

Do gens. They have to either grab you or down you. Eventually you will die or the gens will get done.

I suppose you can't because of Doc. He can just keep shocking, giving you insanity and break the gens. You wouldn't be able to die or do gens.

  • I really don't get why this is a problem to you. Why do you need MORE compensation for having these skins other than the fact that you were able to wear those all along and most players and all new players couldn't. You're seriously defending the scam market just because everyone is NOW getting a free skin you had all this time for free? You're not losing anything but the exclusivity of the free skins you have in a video game, don't need to be so egocentric. After all, just like you, many players who had these skins cared about them and now they lost them and there's not an efficient way to prove who had them and who didn't. This compensation wouldn't be fair for them.

THAT was the Halloween event? I thought they were going to make an actual event later, since The Rift took up so much time.

Very disappointing that we didn't get anything unique for what is the most important holiday for DBD. The rift should have been delayed longer until so an actual event could come out, or make the rift more themed.

I think that the rift and the archives is a very special thing to be added to the game. It's not like they didn't do anything for it. Also, they were very clear about how the event would be. Don't know why you expected another event.
