- The voting for things to be finalized is today, which includes things like the Killer's name, Survivor's name, Chapter name, and the final concept for both Survivor and Killer.
-
Cause her gameplay is basically just:
Infect → headform→ down → hook
Her infection mechanic is pointless tbh, since you'll never really see a survivor reach leach 2.
If you want a more detailed opinion here's a video by Pixel bush:

When people boot up the PTB they mainly want to see/go against what's been added/changed. Sure you can go play any killer but with there being no DC penalty, there's no reason for any of the survivors to stay.
Let's say an Evil Within chapter was added, people would rather go against the new killer over a killer who received 0 changes during the PTB.

Yeah this is some bull.
The pallet density changes were needed on some maps, but they gave it to every map. Now we are left with some of the most unsafe loops I have ever seen.
As killer this doesn't even look fun. I enjoy the whole 'mind game' part at pallets and loops, but I don't see any place where I need to do so.

Sure you keep thinking that killer main. Either you never played survivor in your life or you are low MMR. Not outdated at all. The video says it all BHVR.
Not outdated?
Two of the perks in the video were reworked to no longer be a slugging type perk.

@Colt45m said:
Well who decides what color they are? Killer?
What do you mean by this?
The color is only decided on your side. If you have fixation and you set it to blue, it's only blue to you. If the killer has it on white it's only white for the killer.
-
They need to remove the ability for new accounts to make posts or post gifs/images
-
Half of these games the killer wasn't even toxic, dbd players really did kill the term toxic
Also you call a killer toxic for dcing, yet you insta dc cause of a killer. Doesn't that make you toxic as well? -

So many people in this thread willing to throw rights away for "artificial" safety is crazy. @MDRSAN literally had the highest quality post in this whole thread and gets down votes.
If that means people cant make bot accounts and post gore or other illegal materials to the forums, BHVR can take my "rights" away

Yeah no, old hatch was removed for a reason.

Really out here exaggerating stuff?
- Where are these 20 people?
- The shane post had about 3 people talking about how shane is less popular than other characters, instead of not allowing him into the game
- You post 3 post of the same day that were nothing but a pic/gif of what I presume an ai render of carrie, and you only got one downvote.
Not sure why you are using ai, I mean this is essentially asking ai if 2+2 = 4. Everyone knows IPs bring in players, just check player count numbers.

Whats with this response? They just said they prefer original content over IPs cause it lets devs be more creative.

Chase doesn't proc after a fog veil is used for the rest of the match and Pigs uses that bug to prevent survivors traps from stopping when being chased
Seems like the issue is fog veil instead of pig

No, I have experience and I can tell you -reps mean jack ######### and if you genuinely believe they mean something you're playing yourself.
You could easily get a "-rep tunneler" from a survivor that ran towards you after getting unhook.
Hell, I was booted offline because someone got pissy that they stepped into one of my traps after they got unhooked and I put them back on hook.
-
There would be a good site tho, cause you could see if the killer has many many -reps and see if he/she is a toxic one
You do know that -reps can be given by salty players, right?
-
Because they added the ability for killers to kill the last survivor by their hand (just took the function of cypress and made it base kit).
-
It's not actually, devs themselves said slugging isn't holding the game hostage.
-
No, there's a reason she is slower:
- Huntress has no range limit allowing herself to cross map
- She has more than 1 hatchet (unless you are running her iri which insta downs)
- Her hit box is way bigger than springtrap
- Miss a shot, no worries you can immediately wind up a second shot.

3 m/s huntress when winding up vs 4.4 m/s springtrap. Idk why think she's better just because she has more hatchets - they are significantly harder to hit than Springtrap's
Skill issue tbh

Don't worry it won't make it through PTB because of Killers and Devs only caring about Killer experience.
Why would they even add a system where one side will constantly be outvoted by the other?
It would be a waste of time.
-
They could reintroduce legacy, but have it a different color.
I also saw a concept of p100 skin having the egc collapse effect.
-
I doubt the support will last long
-
I'm going to start off by mentioning that I started playing DBD slightly before they added Legion, and I mainly played killer. So I'm going to try to not sound biased.
When it comes to the og survivors, survivors were at their strongest.
- Infinites
- Double pallets at almost every loop
- Exhaustion perk were on a cooldown
- No gen regression
- Barely any aura reading perk
- 'Hide and seek' was viable
Over time as all things do, things change. So each patch/update would bring changes that would in someway nerf survivors.
While there weren't that many dcs at the time, as the new update brought in more killers/perks/nerfs dcing started to rise. To me it seemed like survivors felt that how they could express their skill was slowly being put into a meat grinder.
Especially when it came to certain map changes, from getting smaller, loops getting smaller, more dead zones, etc. This can also make survivors feel as if they can't properly express their skill.
To bring it back to the topic of killer, Nurse is probably the first offense to the up rise of dcs. The only way a survivor could 'defend themselves' were with loops and pallets, yet here is this killer that makes those defenses null, especially with the add-on combo with 5-7 blinks.
Over time they added more killers and perks that survivors found unfun, especially OG legion. So devs see that more and more survivors are dcing for 'xyz' reasons so they add a dc penalty, but since those 'xyz' reasons are still there they swap to giving up on hook.
- Nurse, Blight, Spirit, etc.
- Strong Killer add-ons
- 4 gen slowdown/regression meta
- 3 gen being the meta playstyle
Next thing you know Skull Merchant arrives, and people were already skeptical about her of her stalling potential during 3-gen. Eventually a specific loadout is found where you can basically hold the game hostage till the server boots you out, and soon (in my case) every match agaisnt SM was using this build. So the 'hate-train' comes and every game the mentality is just "gg go-next". As each new unfun/strong killer is released it adds more to the go-next mentality.
With perks mainly slowdow, regression, and aura reading it made games for survivor less fun. With how many aura perks for killer are added, the 'hide and seek' playstyle is gone, more slowdown/regress brought in the meta of 4 slowdown/regression loadouts, and slugging perks brought in the 'slug till bleedout' meta. These loadouts also added to the go-next mentality.
Killer play styles are also a culprit in why go-next is a thing. For things like:
- Playing for the 3-gen (Killers would see where the closest 3-gen was and wouldn't leave that area, forcing the survivors to come to them)
- Hard tunneling, camping, and slugging (basically made survivors feels as if they weren't allowed to play the game)
- Hit and run (this play style was boring, especially if a survivor prefers the chase over doing gens)
- Slug till bleedout (should be self explanatory)
I also have the feeling that the slow shift of 'winning over having fun' mentality has also drifted players to go-next.
There are probably some things I missed, so if anyone would like to add onto this I would appreciate that.
-
The only people that don’t like that are the people that get off on causing other people misery and you’ve just catered to those people.
Wrong, I'm tired of playing survivor and having people rage quit the nano second a match doesn't go their way. As well as when they give up, insta re-queue, and just give up immediately in the next match.
I also want to remind you BHVR that I am at work and I have an emergency at home and I have to leave. I don’t get penalized for that. There is not a chance in this world that I will being penalized by a video game for having to leave for something more important than playing a video game.
Well its a good thing that the starting penalty is low for reasons outside your control, unless you constantly need to leave, in which why are you queuing for a mp game?
You had better figure it out and you’d better figure it out quick or I guarantee you’re gonna go bankrupt because nobody’s gonna tolerate this kind of nonsense from you.
They won't go bankrupt bud just because a few players are throwing a hissy fit because they can't insta quit without some kind of penalty.
-
He doesn't fit as a killer

“Some killers would become unplayable.”
And? If a killer gets universally blocked, that’s not a matchmaking problem.
That’s a design problem.
If 25% of the community blocks Nurse, maybe—just maybe—players are telling you something the stats won’t: “We hate playing against her.”
That’s feedback. Brutal, honest, and more useful than another win-rate spreadsheet.Devs already know people don't like playing against her, they don't need to add a ban system for that.
-
Sorry but no, stealth killers have a place in the game.
You clearly didn't play DBD when aura reading would show the killer when they were in stealth. Killers whose power that had stealth like mechanics were dogshit.
-
Two things could be the reason:
- Scott Cawthon didn't want it to be like that
- So it can be sold in certain countries

Killers don't like it cause it ruins their power fantasy and your post is literally a proof of that LMAO
Survivors also don't like getting slugged, camped and tunneled, they don't like going against insanely broken killers designed to 4k every single match, they don't like playing on maps that are a guaranteed 4k, they don't like having to repair a billion gens cause the killer is running full regression, rhey don't like automatically losing what's supposed to be a 50/50 mindgame cause the killer has aura reading, they don't like a killer making a ridiculous comeback after doing bad the whole match thanks to stuff like Devour Hope or endgame perks etc. etc., but sure, survivors should DEFINITELY be really concerned about how the killers feel when survivors go next in miserable matches.
Killers don't like it cause it ruins their power fantasy and your post is literally a proof of that LMAO
Ruins the power fantasy by instantly making a match a 1v3?
Nah I don't like cause a survivor will throw the game for other survivors and instead of taking a break, they will queue for the next game immediately and throw the next.
Survivors also don't like getting slugged, camped and tunneled
Fair
they don't like going against insanely broken killers designed to 4k every single match
Survivors will give up against any killer
they don't like playing on maps that are a guaranteed 4k
Survivors will give up even on the map they bring.
rhey don't like automatically losing what's supposed to be a 50/50 mindgame cause the killer has aura reading,
Survivors dont like losing a 50/50 even when the killer doesnt have aura reading. Hell they didn't like losing when running infinite-loops back in the day.
they don't like a killer making a ridiculous comeback after doing bad the whole match thanks to stuff like Devour Hope or endgame perks etc.
I'm confused about this, the whole point of killer endgame perks is for the chance of making a comeback. Change all the perks that allow the killer to make a comeback and they become useless.
I mean there are ways to counter Devour and Noed.
Survivors and killers have the mentality to rage quit the millisecond a game isn't in their favor, and this mentality really needs to stop.
-
Some fan iteration depict him of using an axe, maybe Scott wanted it to be apart of his design since he likes fan-made stuff.
-
It was more than likely that the Killer abandoned the match.
So if a certain time passes without progression (gen being completed or if survivorsdo absolutely nothing) the Killer can choose to abandon the match. This leads to the game ending immediately since there is no killer bot.
So since you were playing survivor and the killer abandoned the match, it says you were sacrificed. Same as if you abandoned a match as survivor it will say you escaped.

are there others that are still active? What about that Killer Klowns one? Also werent there some announced projects that were supposed to be out by now?
It doesn't seem like it's doing well on steam rn.
On steamcharts it's sitting at a 34 players (24-hour peak)
No mention of shutting the game down though, but they are about to have an anniversary update.
Edit:
I remember seeing an ad for this game called Carnival Hunt
Carnival Hunt is a asymmetric horror strategy multiplayer game. One player takes on the role of the Carnival Monster, and the other players play as the Bunnies. It's still in the alpha stage, but you can find gameplay on YouTube.
-
I get the game didn't do well in terms of sales . I just find it funny that instead of making it a full chapter (survivor and killer) which people would buy, they go the route of making frank stone a $15-20 skin for one of the 'weakest' killers in the game.
The irony as well:
Hot take:
This kinda feels like a slap to the face to anyone who actually enjoyed The Casting of Frank Stone. You have a game that hypes/teases new survivors/killer joining the realm just to go "nah, just throw that all out and make frank stone a skin".
They shouldn't have bothered releasing anything at all.
It especially sucks for anyone that doesn't like playing as trapper.
-
They must have some limit with how many times they can use it a year, cause they are very picky when it comes to what does/doesn't warrant a killswitch.

If someone uses these add ons knowing what they do and because they are not kill switched, would that player get a ban for it?
Well you would think so, but since how they treated some bugs/exploits I don't think so.
-
I mean Duty of Care can be used to discourage tunneling, but I don't see it being very impactful outside of swf in some cases.
The killer can just:
- Ignore the survivor trying to go for the protection hit
- Play a killer that can easily catch up to the survivor that has Duty of Care haste applied to them
-

I don't understand all the complaining, this is balanced gameplay right here.
I think the devs should ignore all the complaints from survivor players and buff him. They should let him down with his power, and give him a insta down add-onKiller is obviously a low tier killer.

Um no,
I can see about 60%-90% of this player base dropping the game if they went with this model.

It has never been this bad. There is always a few here and there that would break it up and it would even die down after a few days.
This is not true.
Almost every match would be a back to back against the new killer, except for a few like Houndmaster.
Did you play at all during when Wesker was released?

Yeah its called a bug, you had access to a skin you shouldn't have.
They patched the bug, you can still play the character. There's nothing 'scummy' here.
-
Killer queue time goes up every time a new killer is released.
Usually wait times aren't that bad when its a survivor and killer dlc, but since its a killer only dlc wait times icrease.

@brewingtea said:
Because nobody wants to play Survivor. Can you blame them?
Or its because a new killer just dropped so people are wanting to play said killer…
I mean this happens almost every time a dlc drops.
-
A 150% survivor queue is an indication that the killer is not fun to go against.
Who could've guessed that people want to play the new killer that came from a new dlc that only has a killer in it, truly incomprehensible.
killers that play themselves with a controller shouldn't exist
So should console players only be able to play as survivor?
-
I mean getting a 24 hour penalty is kinda just telling on yourself since its very low for the first few dcs…
-
They 'gutted' Knockout because of how it was being used to 4-man slug or 4-man slug to bleedout, it needed to be changed.
Resillience should reduce the duration of ALL stuns including locker stuns by 50%.
By resilience you mean enduring, and no it shouldn't. Would make DS and Head On useless, and we don't need to go back to the time Enduring lessened the stun duration on DS.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt Sabo already have a cooldown from 75-60? If a survivor does it to late you can hit them forcing the perk into cd, or if they do it to late on certain maps you can carry them to another hook.
-
I think they should stay. Sure an argument can be made that is hinders discussions/arguments, but do we really need 10+ comments telling someone that their post/comment is a bad take?
I feel like the up/down vote system is there so users can show that they either agree/disagree with something being said without needing to comment on said thing. -

Almost any time you post you complain and then lash out at anyone that doesn't agree with you.
You need mental help. -
They just need to add a ping filter option…
I know in some places they don't have their own servers causing them to connect to other servers, but I would like the option to keep my matches under 100.
-
I can guarantee you that they didn't get banned for just agreeing that DBD is killer sided
-
No, names will be changed for everyone just like what happened with the Stranger Things chapter
-
BHVR, companies, and streamers have had their own DBD tournaments, they don't go well.
