Laughable? ######### you even comment on this? You may not agree with me but ITS MY PAIN MY GAMES AND MY FRUSTRATION your probably a straight A player who can't relate to half the ######### people talk about so I would appreciate it if you didn't call MYYYY FRUSTRATION Laughable If your just gonna dismiss me because YOU are good enough to counter it DOESN'T mean I want to so keep your mouth shut if you actually read my post you'd UNDERSTAND my team did not make it all 3 times which is why I'm complaining about it I didn't ask for tips I didn't ask for your dismissal I didn't ASK for you to tell me I'm wrong because your so much better at surviving all you people are literally the same all you do is dismiss and dismiss because you think it's easy to counter when it's NOT
I can't tell if you're joking or actually having a crash out, but by this response it's clear that you need to take a break from dbd a LONG one infact.
So you don't want to learn how to counter something, why? Just so you can call it abusive?
I'm not great at this game, but instead of calling everything toxic or abusive I try to get better to counter it. I thought trapper was op, but instead of calling him op or abusive I found ways to counter him.
You're right you didn't ask, but that doesn't mean jack to me. You posted on an online forum, I can comment if I want. Sorry my response wasn't jerking you off and agreeing with you.
-
This build is gimmicky at best, and calling it abusive is laughable.
- The killer eventually has to hook the survivor, and if a killer carrying a survivor can't get any hits with mad grit they have to hook or the survivor can get off.
- While they are carrying a survivor they become a m1 killer. So they are basically nerfing themself for a meme build.
- Any survivor who can keep distance will just stall the killer while the other survivors work on gens.
I would rather go against this build than being slugged to death.
-
It's literally just a "i'm an og" skin.
While I didn't play this game when these skins were available so I think they were a special version of prestige skins but this was back then when earning blood points was very slow.
I'm pretty sure most of the people who are selling legacy accounts are probably not legit accounts.

Given the increase in slugging and the ongoing debate about whether to nerf survivors or killers, I believe the solution lies in how MMR is rewarded. If a player isn't getting many hooks, they should be placed in a lower skill bracket.
I have suggested in the past to award more points for hooks, but the response was that killers are more interested in eliminating all survivors and don't care about points. I've seen many people on this forum express frustration with the current MMR system, saying they often get matched with players of different skill levels. Behavior should classify slugging as a low-skill tactic. This way, it wouldn't be a debate about whether it's a legitimate strategy or cheating-it's simply low skill.Yeah sorry but this suggestion was not thought out well.
Your vision of punishment is more like a reward, killers that don't want to deal with swfs or good looping survivors will just slug and go for low MMR matches.
New players are put into low MMR from the get go so instead of going against another new player they go against a 5k+ hour nurse. Which by this just destroys the whole point of MMR.
-
Dramaturgy is fine, it does not need a nerf.
Sprint burst :
- 50% haste for 3 seconds, healthy/injured
Dramaturgy :
- 25% haste for 2 seconds, can only use it when healthy
- Has random effects :
- Increases haste for 2 seconds
- Gives the survivor an item
- Makes them scream
- Causes them to be exposed.
I mean should we nerf lithe as well?
-
Oh you're right...
They should add a penalty for giving up on hook.

Seems like you don't read patch notes at all…
Of course they don't, that wouldn't fit their narrative if they did.
-
Because Prestige doesn't mean skill, it just means you put a lot of bp into a character.
-
- no they don't
- Skull Merchant players (the anti gen/3 gen ones) are literally the reason all the passengers on the SM hate train exists
-
- No it doesn't
- Pyramid Head and Onryo can both mori without add-ons. Do they defeat the purpose of add-ons?
- The only killer with add-ons that can mori survivors is Myers (The Shape)
- You can remove the mori update and won't see any decrease in killers slugging
-
I might catch some flak from this, but there needs to be a ping limit (either in match or lobby) or let players queue for pings closer to their own.
-
- They have removed the penalty in the past but people love showing the devs why a penalty is needed
- They are nerfing both tombstone add-ons in the upcoming patch update
- They dont need to add in-game chat
-
Okay….
Reverts mori update
Killers still slug for 4k
-
I mean the killer killed the rest of your 'team' and downed you. So technically they did earn it.
-
I mean the wiggle mechanic was never meant to be a guaranteed thing .
Like Seraphor mentioned, its main reason is to force a killer to either drop or hook you instead of carrying you around the map.
-
Not really holding the game hostage when you can do gens
-
The final survivor mori is fine, idk why people keep making such a big deal about this anyway. Not like killers weren't slugging the final 2 survivors anyway before this change.

While they were both terrible, I think Legion was worse because your match would be ruined earlier. With Skull Merchant, at the very least you could play the game until the 3-gen begins. With Legion, the moment they find you it is over because there is absolutely nothing to do against them, the killer had no counter.
Though maybe there are some other details about SM that I do not know. I was around for original Legion, but with SM I missed most of the controversy. I thought DBD was in a bad state even before her release so I wasn't really playing, and when I got back to the game she had already been reworked.
Either way, they both had to be changed.
When it came to SM's release the antigen build during that time was eruption, overcharge, pop and call of brine. Well with her power some people found an optimal strategy to just throw all her drones on a gen and profit from the slowdown.
Well a few SM players as well as a small streamer (Cant remember their name but you can possibly find the vid of them going against an actual comp team swf) found out that you can hold a game hostage at 3 gens till the server booted everyone out (which was about an hour or more). Well that started a huge wave of SM players to use this build in pub games, and then people would start going for the 3 gen as soon as they were able to move their character. If you were solo-q you might as well just have dced or give up on hook because you were not escaping (even in the match with the streamer and the comp swf they were close to the game kicking them out)

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survival horror & action game where one player takes on the role of the Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors.Anyone who thinks that they are getting a refund from SM being nerfed is hard coping and they need to wake up to reality.

Apologies, but what did they change?
[REWORK] When a Survivor is within 6 meters of a dropped pallet within 16 meters of your location, their aura is revealed for 6/8/10 seconds.
Dev note: Revealing pallets and windows was much less useful for Killers than Survivors since the Killer is present every time a pallet is broken. We have reworked this Perk to instead reveal Survivor auras near dropped pallets. This will provide some useful info during a chase and allow for some interesting mindgames.
-
Like everyone has said, the devs can add a DC penalty if they want they don't need players permission for it. Besides, time after time that they turned off the penalty the community would quickly prove why it's needed.
-
Like its been said every time when it gets asked/posted, it won't happen
-
Will any of the money from sales of this new chapter go to the creator?
I would have to assume that this will be like any other license chapter and the creator gets a cut from each sale.
-
I mean, with survivors instantly giving up a 5 gens before even the first hook it makes sense to go for adept.

Using exploits is a bannable offense and always has been. People got banned for using the locker exploit as survivor as far as I know so I don't see why it should be treated any differently.
Didn't ban people for using potential energy or breakdown when those perks were bugged.
Not saying they shouldn't but it's weird seeing BHVR do nothing when people are abusing a bug and don't use the kill switch.
-
They're not going to ban people
-
Do you have any proof of them saying this?
-
Why should people use Iron Maiden on Doctor OP?
Because without providing a reason on why Doctor should use it, many players including myself just see it as a waste of a perk slot.
-
If I'm remembering correctly; it had to do with something about them not wanting it to feel like you need to take these perks (for the bp) since it seemed like that what majority of player brought the perks for. They probably saw it as being a punishment when it came from the difference between the bp gains when these perks were/weren't equipped
Funny thing is after they removed the bp bonus from both perks, people kept on bringing BBQ but it seemed like the entire playerbase dropped WGLF.

Even using artificial intelligence to ask questions about your game, such as ChatGPT, with a query like "Does the game called Dead by Daylight have issues related to its hitbox, receiving complaints from various players?" would provide insights into the game's description and players' perceptions that there have indeed been issues related to hitboxes, among other performance and balancing concerns.
Here was ChatGPT's response to this question:
"As of my last update in January 2022, Dead by Daylight had experienced occasional complaints from players regarding hitbox issues, primarily related to hit registration and collision detection. However, the developers at Behaviour Interactive have been continuously working on improving the game's performance, including addressing hitbox-related issues through updates and patches.
Since game development is an ongoing process and community feedback plays a crucial role, it's possible that there may have been further updates or adjustments to address any lingering hitbox issues in Dead by Daylight beyond my last update. Therefore, I recommend checking the latest community feedback or updates from the developers for the most current information on the game's status regarding hitbox-related complaints."
Also asking it about hitboxes and latency:
"Dead by Daylight, like many online multiplayer games, can be affected by latency issues, which can in turn impact hitbox registration and overall gameplay experience. Latency, also known as ping, refers to the delay between a player's action and the game's response. High latency can lead to various issues, including hit registration problems, laggy gameplay, and inconsistencies in player interactions.
In Dead by Daylight, where precise timing and positioning are crucial for both survivors and killers, latency issues can be particularly frustrating. Players may experience situations where their hits don't register properly, or where their movements feel delayed or unresponsive due to high latency.
To mitigate latency-related problems, the developers of Dead by Daylight have implemented various measures, such as dedicated servers and optimization updates. However, latency issues can still occur due to factors like geographical distance between players, network congestion, and individual internet connection stability.
Players experiencing persistent latency issues in Dead by Daylight are encouraged to troubleshoot their internet connection, ensure they are playing on servers closest to their location, and report any ongoing problems to the game's support team. Additionally, staying updated on patch notes and developer communications can provide insights into ongoing efforts to improve latency and hitbox issues in the game."

Yeah its kinda strange when it happens, in regards of talking about the new accounts not commenting. It might be that the comments weren't agreeing with them/on their side, this is just a guess.
I've seen some new accounts comment when the comments on their post are a mix bagged though. They might be alt accounts, but I don't understand why someone would go through with the whole set up just to make a single post.
-
Many killers have taken the game hostage standing over No Mither players that they were mad at and couldn't hook, just so they can watch them bleed out.
What exactly is the killer supposed to do here exactly? As soon as the killer leaves the survivor will just bring themselves up, and the person with No Mither can keep running back to the spot that prevents the killer from hooking them.

As I feel you as far as people announcing they are quitting is always on this forum. It still sucks to see people leave the game I want this game to thrive. People just saying by I don't care isn't the way to go about it.
I get what you're saying, but the occasional "me and my friends are dropping the game" post doesn't really affect the game's ability to 'thrive'. Look at the player count on Steam; I doubt them leaving will have a significant impact on the player count.
-
So let me get this straight, someone purchased The Unknown (the VA is a trans woman) with money/auric cells/blood shards as well as cosmetics to be a pos to people with the trans pride charm? Some people are strange.
Sorry you had to experience that, I hope that player gets banned.

what survivor nerf is even happening this patch?
Also mangled is getting nerfed after complaints survivors had about sloppy.
Some of you guys just need to chill out.
There wasn't one, but since a few killers got changes people will diregard the previous patches/changes.
If their side doesn't get mega buffed they'll just say stuff like"(x) side always gets buffs and (y) side only gets nerfs"
-
People being burnt out could be one of the major reasons, also with the "lights out" apparently killers would just tunnel (This is what I've heard, I haven't played it yet).
Another thing is that "lights out" probably didn't peak much peoples interest, but it could be people are just waiting for the new chapter since those bring more attention. So the player count will probably go up next chapter release, since this is how most multiplayer games work.
Or it could be Solo Q players leaving, the experience not being the best right now.

This is simply untrue. He has 8 cameras or something and puts them all around the hook so anyone approaching gets gooped then he teleports and you're just screwed.
1.) EMPs exist, so if Singularity is putting all his cameras around one survivor he is screwing himself
2.) It takes way longer to tag a survivor/tp to the infected survivor when the biopod is next to a hook. Just like how it takes the xenomorph longer to exit tunnels near a hooked survivor.
-
remove the rank and blood points
Rank sure I can understand, but removing bloodpoints will make people not want to play it.

I wouldn't
-
SWF>Killer ( unless its full meta slowdown s tier killer)>Solo que
But if you want to look at just the stats, it's killer

You're not, but people love throwing buzz words at people with different opinions. What you stated is true though, his perks are kinda meh so when people get him to p3 majority of people will swap back to their survivor mains.
