Damn Jane never gets love smh

First it wasnt pandering then I just disproved it and now we're on "well whats the problem with it?"
Then you generalize my point, They have NEVER done this with a character. Im ok with proof but they have never disclosed in a public message any major lore involved with a character until now when it just so happens debates like the ones we are having now are going on HMMMMM.... odd isnt it. Also yes its true its still up to the devs to make the decision but that doesnt mean it isnt pandering.
I think thats about it for the discussion since it went from me having to prove that its pandering to now you two being like so what?
My original post anyways was for the op in the way they worded their feelings I found annoying, you two probably do not share the exact same interests in this matter so besides the pandering and assumptions debates there is really nothing left to say. I just cant wait to see how this unfolds because although you two are ok with whatever comes of this you cant speak for everyone else apart of the lgbt and even outside of it.

I literally agreed that you can assume whatever you wanted.

Is it really that unbelievable that game developers - some of whom are LGBT themselves - would want to add an LGBT character?
Its not of their own accord its based on community feedback as well this is pandering however you want to twist it.

Okay I haven’t seen this post until now.
If you really get the feeling that this post means they only do it because of pandering then there is no ground for argumentation. You only see what you want to see, even if the opposite was directly stated.
ok... Even though the tweet and post by the mod both incorporate the dbd playerbase in the decision to be more inclusive.
I keep saying it doesn't matter that doesn't mean it cant happen I just do not care for the way it is happening. People are obviously complaining on here and twitter about "inclusion". The devs had to put out a public statement regarding the current roaster and the UNINTENTIONAL exclusion of character who is officially lgbt. What the hell when have they ever had to issue a statement regarding saying they will incorporate a trait into a character of their creation. We dont even get to know these things up until release. It goes to show that the community of people have definitely gotten to the devs because they dont have to let us know and they never have.
Like I said before if it happens fine I just dont want it to happen this way like this is for some greater good.

Maybe its also the fact that when things do change it's killers that get hit first before survivors and that's if survivors get hit with a nerf to balance what killers got hit with for example ruin got nerfed before toolboxes, PGTW got nerfed to 45 seconds because killers had to much time to use it Killers ask for the same thing to DS or for conditions on it to be adjusted and nothing and now mori with only key will at some point. Whats the bet that the undying + ruin combo will prob get hit first before keys and yet UB + DS won't get touched, yes there has been other changes in the game to both sides but if you look at what got changed on one side and it's counter part to the other Killers get hit first before survivors and saying "Franklins can delete keys brought into a match" that's fine to say that but is every killer going to use 1 perk slot in case survivors do a last second swap to bring in a key.
If you want bring Franklins in to hold any counter to keys then lock survivors at the 30 seconds left so they can't last second switch to another one, as the devs said there just skins so survivors shouldn't have a problem with there survivor being locked in at 30 seconds?
Here is the thing, Initially I liked ruin+undying I thought it the kind of edge a lot of killer would need so gens dont go too fast. But the problem is Ebony Mori Iri Head Huntress still exists during the hex meta, Stridor Spirit still exists Nurse and Forever Freddy still exist. The two perks made playing weaker killer possible but made killers that were already strong or too strong completely busted. I stopped running the combo because it was just too easy also im a Spirit main (japanese horror is my favourite in the genre) so I already felt bad. DS needs a change I'll also admit. but DS + UB can be more easily countered think about it thats why people call these second chance perks because without them the killer would most likely dominate. Bhvr has even posted a chart that shows that top tier killers get 3+ kills a game. So on average killers are doing their job survivors arent. This is why killer mains have nothing to complain about and why I for the most part take the survivors side because most survivors aren't surviving during their sessions. Keys can go next week i dont care but before we nerf ds lets work on Spirit, Freddy and iri head.

See the tweet that I posted, they have restricted themselves to not include any sexuality or gender identity etc.
yes, integral. For legion the sexuality is kind of integral for their lore and their whole being. Nurse only snapped because her loved one died. Felix whole lore with expecting a child and having lost his father etc. It’s not only about sexuality after all but love, relationships, friendships, identity, struggles life (coming out, being politically persecuted). Only because it’s integral doesn’t mean it has to be the one and only trait.
@behave_pt somehow the quote didn’t work
They have not restricted themselves they were just doing normal things. If Felix was gay he wouldnt be expecting a child from his pregnant wife, maybe expecting a child from a surrogate but then where is the conflict, maybe with his husband or maybe even the surrogate wants to keep the baby idk I just have to think more outside the box now. I've already mentioned that the best and easiest background story for an lgbt character is not being accepted by family or/and society. Though I brought up another thing which is character design and perks. They would have to think about that first then tac on same sex relationships or identify as trans. Its their characters I guess they can do whatever they want but its no longer whatever THEY want. Again which is pandering and still I dont know to what extent but this has been happening to much in media.

The thing is it will not affect game health or balance in the slightest. The people that write the lore would write it either way, but now they are not restricted to explicitly exclude anything LGBT+. It actually makes this easier imo.
almost all survivors and many killers are from modern ages, plus only because people in the past had to hide their identity or relationship doesn’t mean they didn’t exist. This can be integral parts for many people and totally worth noting in the lore.
Never said they didnt exist and modern ages isnt 21st century America.
Also why would you say restricted? Is there something else Bhvr said about not feeling like they could incorporate a same sex marriage etc?
I already said that sexual orientation could play a part in lore but an "integral" part? why, I thought the point was their sex to be a trait not the main thing about the character

@Bumbus said:
Franklin's doesn't work against keys if survivors stash them in some place at the start of the game.
Mori nerf is fine, keeping keys as they are aka "A-bomb for swf" is not.
They will change tho. Just seems like killer mains are mad that they didnt come out together. A key doesnt guarantee anything unless we are talking about a good swf in which case they dont even need keys. If anything its more important to nerf moris before keys.
-
Also the tweet that you showed further proves that they are pandering though and proves my other point about sexuality being excluded from lore so you wouldnt know about their sexual past. If they want to please people fine but they have to start actively making multiple characters from the lgbtq+ because its called the lgbtq+ for a reason. There is also different levels to it. Will it be subtle? obvious? how will they portray trans men and women? Will anything they do please people?

We have several confirmed heterosexual relationships with implied sexuality:
Nurse was married to a man she deeply loved
Felix was married to a woman, she was pregnant
David had a girlfriend at some point.
Frank and Julie shoved us their sexuality down our throats in their tome
Ace is described as a womanizer in some cosmetic descriptions.
all of those could of course be bisexual or even gay/lesbian/asexual, but everything mentioned is definitely same sex.
My bad I should have worded that differently. I guess you also have to take into account the times certain characters were born in. This alone would drastically decrease any chance of a non heterosocial relationship. Like realistically if they weren't born this century it would make sense for them to be heterosexual for the most part. I do understand what you mean by "Frank and Julie shoved us their sexuality down our throats in their tome". Like I said before it doesnt matter to me and I never asked for it. So when people complain to the point where the Devs will infect do as they say not when it comes to game health or balance but sex I just dont get it.

I'm with you and everything, but I just wanna point out your 2nd point isn't actually true anymore. Unless they worded it poorly, they removed the text that said hoarder reduces the rarity of items in chests. So all that perk does now is spawn 2 extra chests and give you a notification when someone picks up an item. Literally went from bad to even worse, and it didn't even work on release either. What a sad series of events this poor perk has been through already lmao.
My guess is they didn't know how to decrease the rarity of items in the chests, or they couldn't get it to work so they just removed the text in its entirety
oh well didnt see that rip

Thank you for bringing that up, I never cared about the backstory of a character.
That's fine, a lot of people don't mind the lore. However, the lore is where it will be mentioned.
Bhvr has given characters from what I know is of their own creation, it was not fueled by fan requests except for maybe Elodie as I did see a lot of people wondering when then next black female would comet to the game.
And it is the same with the first LGBT character. The devs are the ones who decided to do so.
Also im very aware of the assumption I made which was for the original poster. Is it enough for a pre-existing character or future character to have a same sex relationship in the past? My assumptions is no and im allowed to assume so.
My assumption is yes because heterosexual characters are the same way. You are allowed to assume whatever you want, of course, but to have a better understanding of what other people want, it's always better to ask instead of assuming.
im allowed to assume until the person I directed the response to responds. I made an assumptions not force my opinion on to someone let it go

you don’t need to understand it though.
we will get a char that is LGBT and it will not be their only trait.
that’s a fact, BHVR WANTS to add such a character. Not to pander but because they realized there is no reason for exclusion at all especially with their growing focus on lore (backstories are getting longer and deeper and tomes also bring additional character backstories)
Its ok if it has already been stated to add a LGBT character. but my point is that doesnt matter and it shouldnt. I also gave an example of how they could incorporate someone's sexual orientation into their backstory the problem is their is little to nothing that suggests the sexual orientation of previous characters. Though now based on what you said they are actively looking for some way to incorporate a characters sexuality into it.

I already explained this in my previous post and please go watch that clip.
BHVR doesn't want to make a mascot, they want to give people the representation they ask for, which means giving a character a trait that can represent them, but not define said character by just that trait.
I was hoping they dont make a mascot but one things for sure they wont please every lgbt member I've seen this with cyberpunk you cant please everybody not even the people you set out to please. Also from what I read "want to give people the representation they ask for" im sorry is that not pandering? like im only trying to make sense of this pc "inclusive" phenomena to the best of my ability

A lot of assumptions there. Why don't you ask people what they want instead of assuming they want a "mascot" or whatever? Also, do you take issue to BHVR pandering to you?

I dont want it and I honestly cannot stand people like you or even understand for that matter.
Race/ethnicity whatever is not the same as sexual preferences/orientations stop comparing them. There is absolutely no reason to have one because you are not just asking for someone who might be queer to be added to the game, you want a mascot. Im sure its not enough for you if Nea had a fling with another girl once. Race however is a large part of a character and there background. It literally determines what they look like. Sexual preference is not the main focus in designing new characters maybe you could give a new character a tragic backstory on not being accepted because of their sexuality but forcing it as the main trait of said character does not work in terms of cosmetics and perks. Occupation and ethnic background are the two things im sure the devs look at for new survivors. They also want to introduce a diverse cast appearance wise but again sexuality is not a factor in that. Specifically adding a "lgbtq+' character is just pandering to you guys specifically and Bhvr has never made a character with that intent.
-
I dont care about legacy because its for characters that I dont particularly care for and characters that have a ton of amazing cosmetics to choose from already. I do agree that the legacy concept should be available for new characters. Like some event where you play it with only 2 survivors and 2 killers to get legacy for them. You'll have to be careful about who you choose and you cant get them for everybody. Also the challenges will force you to play well but not sabotage the game to complete them.

Being exhausted is not really a downside, it does nothing to negatively affect your game.
it is a downside and does affect your game if it actually didnt do anything survivors would dead hard or even worse sprint burst infinitely.
-
I play Pig and Spirit. I never just allow anyone to boop my snoot and I do not farm with them if they do. Survivors are nice to you because you played the role of there pet those games not the role you are intended to play which is a killer with malicious intent. If you want a normal game then play the game as it was intended to be played.
btw try shaking your head at survivors when they are crouching towards or during chases. Let them know you dont want to farm.
-
I dont really have fun while I play killer. I play for a challenge. I am not smiling laughing cracking jokes or goofing off. I am either quite or talking to myself about my next move and focused. I guess I do enjoy it to some degree but overall I think its just due to the fact that I prefer hard games. There is some extreme bias in the arguments of the original post but I get it most people dont like the feeling of losing. If I want fun im going to play fall guys, among us etc but I dont like those games, Id rather play Dark Souls sl1 or something of that nature. Mostly I think people want certain things out of games that just can never really offer it to them. I see people always talking about fun but thats completely subjective. Your version of having fun as killer will not be everyone else's so people should stop spreading it around as if its solely based on the devs or the opposing side that you arent having fun (as killer).
oh also killer is a single player experience which greatly increases the awful feeling while loosing.

that is fair and all true, i don't mean to say that Key's and Mori's are justified, i also want them to be changed, just not fully removed. I believe the mori should be the base "3rd hook" it'd make the game more fun. and keys you can only find in chests in game. But then again, people will allways disagree.
I also believe that moris should be base! My idea was that killers get to mori 1 person after all survivors have been hooked at least once. I think it would reward killers who play well and spread pressure but just not enough to completely slow down gens. Also keys being only found in chests is an interesting idea but I think killers dont like that fact survivors can find keys mid to late game and hop out. Another idea I had is to make keys glow when survivors have them or they are on the ground or keys reveal your aura to killers every so often.

i don't see your point OP, are you against mori's and for keys ooor? ... because remember what the roles are: "Killer - kills, Survivor - survives"
a killer's job is to Kill, not to let the survivors do their job.
I was pointing out some things that bother me within arguments of different posts in the forum. For the most part I am against both but moris are far more broken.
also the rules are not as simple as killer kills survivor survives. shoutout to the dev team for making a game a bit more complicated than that. the ranking system match results emblem systems and point count do not just factor in those two.
i will also point out that there is a bit of disconnect in your post. You start with keys and moris and apparently you think those are justified because of what you think the roles are "supposed" to do. Then your last note is just to make sure I understand that you are partial to the killer role.
oh another thing that I just realized made no sense is how you also cant understand my op because I didnt pick a side. like there is no point on having a list of arguments surrounding they keys and moris debate but also being for the most part neutral.
another thing I guess I forgot to mention is that killers on average kill *3 survivors per game* I know that stats were posted officially on the forums somewhere so I mean that goes without saying that killers are definitely doing their "job" in your eyes.

@KingFrost said:
Mori's are more powerful, but keys are just as annoying.
A Mori can take one player out of the game very early. You get a survivor down twice before two or three gens pop, and you've turned the game into a 3v1. You can easily dwindle their numbers from there. It's almost as if a player disconnected from the match. It can have a huge effect. The earlier its used, the more effect it has.
Keys on the other hand, can be found in chests. Going into the game, you pretty much know if a killer has a Mori. Yesterday I had TWO games in a row where survivors found keys with Plunderer's, and had a two-person escape. Each time I was doing REALLY well. First time, I had two killed before they completed more than 2 gens! And it was on Ormond of all maps. Then they completed only one more gen, and they escaped through the hatch. Game over. Didn't matter how well I did in the match. Nothing I did mattered. Very next game, I was having another pretty good game. Had a strong three gen. One player out. Then two survivors made a lot of noise, I went to check it out, and they teabagged me as they jumped into the hatch. Nothing I could've done to stop it. "Bring Franklin's!" you say. Why? It's a waste of perk slot. And I couldn't have known they were going to find a key.
yeah thats why I really do believe there should be restrictions on key usage. I also dont like the fact that survivors tent to find some way to bm in every situation that they feel like they have the upper hand.

I land 3-4 kills every single game as a killer. It’s not difficult. Quite frankly I think I could do better with higher mobility killers than the ones I usually play which is wraith and plague. Although wraith does have an add on that lets him be faster while he’s invisible that is nice!! But I think survivors need better hiding! Better perks! Better survivability. It’s too easy to find survivors in this game. That’s a huge problem when you consider how lethal it is for a killer to always be in the know in a game where survivors die really fast. You might think 3 hooks is a lot. But it’s actually not realistic to think you have that many chances in even half of the games you play as a survivor. It’s either a Mori after 1st hook, tunneled or left on hook until struggle phase because of proxy camping. It’s a joke how weak survivors are lol how most of the map feels like a dead zone with no cover no bushes bad pallets bad loops. 😆😆😆 do I really have to keep explaining Why the killer has the power role?
@SimplyNotFun said:
It absolutely destroys me inside to see people whine about how playing killer is unfair. They post their pictures showing 2-4 survivors escaping on them when I know for a fact it’s their fault! Not the games fault. It’s actually worse on killers that fail as opposed to survivors that fail. Because killers have it way easier. The 3 keys to beating survivors that might require a bit of spending or time is 1) a good headset 2) map knowledge/experience 3) please equip perks that give you information about your next target 😂 all too often I see people post complaining and I see what perks they were running and I laugh because they had nothing that gives them opportunities to snowball or move onto another target. Which tells me they probably camped hooks the whole game which resulted in 2/3 ppl escaping..
@SimplyNotFun said:
it does take a bit of effort and potentially some stress getting your 3-4 kills every game. But it’s certainly a lot more entertaining than playing survivor. It is Dreadfully stale repairing gens or running a killer that most of the time is going to down you really fast. Then you stare at a damn hook. It’s much more entertaining to do literally anything else with my time. Killers are definitely better 🤙🏼
I completely agree. I kinda feel like people are mainly upset with killers because they know that another person is controlling them. If the killer was ai survivors would not complain about camping and tunneling because they would accept that the ai will attempt to do those things when certain conditions are met.

This is a video game forum mate. If you want to have an 'enlightened discussion'...this may not be the place for it.
- What killers run Franklins baseline, and why?
- Yes, you are (and were) being deliberately fuzzy. But your point was pretty clear.
- What exactly do you mean by 'winning' here?
- Now this is just getting silly. Are you saying that having a key does not have an effect on a survivors chance to survive? Or that a skilled survivor with a key is no better off than a newbie with a key? Honestly, not sure - but either way...just no.
this guy XD
well now its been a while since I talked about fallacies but if I were doing a "Because if you read the OP, he's doing a 'well killers are OP so keys are fine'. That's not a tu quoque fallacy its more like a strawman. That's not to say that I have an extremely logical and well structured argument in my op. Besides that now you are just becoming obnoxious You have reached the point where you are asking questions with very obvious answers as if you do not know them but to what end? It's almost as if you do not have any trust in anything I say whatsoever so you are in constant denial of any of my explanations as if im trying to trick you with completely false logic. You might even say that my op has a bit of Equivocation. Meanwhile everyone else is just adding to the discussion in a very decent way. idk some people just make me wonder sometimes

The killers definitely are the power role. The maps are either small-medium in size and all killers move at a speed fast enough to get from gen to gen and easily find people. Some killers are even faster to where survivors really can’t do their job. Killer perks make it take longer when it’s already long enough. Killer abilities and add ons make it easy to get downs quick. It’s a disappointment in 7-8/10 matches I play as survivor. Usually left with 2-3 gens to work on by myself. Killers have it too easy if you know how to play them right. They are the power player in each match not just from a 1v1 perspective, but also from a 1v4 perspective (4 weak ass survivors with such futile perks to work with)
Distortion should be better than 3 charges.
decisive strike should be 1 time use available every time you get off the hook. Not disabled after a fail. It’s a perk.... that’s simply a stupid idea when you think about 5 seconds being such a minuscule delay anyways. The killer catches back up to you almost immediately after.
the list goes on and on. But I really do believe especially on smaller maps it’s almost unfair and not really worth the time to do 5 generators that are already boring to do just to get mowed down by the killer over some nonsensical killer speed and latency issues if you wish to call it that. However I think the hitbox is screwed up. You clear a vault and you still get whacked. Killers have insane lunge abilities allowing them to land a hit from the other side of a loop by lunging around it. If the loop is that small they need to fix it. Chases are already too short against some of these killers that have ez 1 hit abilities and add ons. It’s too much. Then you get hooked and proxy camped until the next guy gets one hit knocked as well. I play killer too, I know.
I do agree like I said I just prefer to say killers have control over they are the power role. to each their own

- Not talking about finding keys. I'm talking about waiting until the last second before the lobby closes to equip one. I see this done with toolboxes and keys frequently, likely to avoid Franklins or a lobby dodge. There's no physical way to get Franklins in time.
- You essentially said 'killers aren't the power role, but tumpty tumpty tumpty they are the power role'.
- Shrug. Much like you can get a 4 man Blendette SWF with object, 3 tricked out toolboxes and a key.
- That's just silly. Of course having a key is exacerbated by being skilled - as you can almost be sure you'll survive.
dude you are trying so hard to nit pick my original post worst part is you are not even making any sense
I said if a killer has franklins I in no way said the killer has to wait until they see a key in pre game lobby to equip it. if you already have Franklins then your point doesnt matter - thats outta the way
when I was talking about the power role I did not make a definitive statement. I merely felt uncomfortable with the term power role. again its just something you are nit picking so there is no real point to be made with this.
that is very true. survivors are also allowed to not hold back in the same scenario but I just dont see the survivors winning, drawing ok that's possible but more than one survivor escaping through the exit gate? highly unlikely. you are not disproving anything you are just using the whataboutism that you apparently have a disdain for
and your last remark is just ridculous
a 7,000 hour survivor main has most of their skill in map awareness and killer awareness. Besides their main talent which is looping extremely effectively they have a good game sense of when and where to be and what to do. Having a key does NOT guarantee you will live anymore than using your game sense to escape (all of this is also affected by luck of course). Also a unskilled survivor with a key can experience just as much ease as the skilled survivor when it comes to escaping with a key whereas a skilled killer increases their control and map pressure and moris are directly related to the most important action a killer will perform throughout the match which is hooking and downing survivors. But a bad killer may only get to use their ebony mori once or twice because they lack the ability to down survivors quickly among other things
alright so if you are somehow still unsatisfied with something lets just call it a "difference of opinion" because you are no longer arguing for the sake of an enlightened discussion
-
@Xyvielia said:
Can’t really argue with most of that.
A solo brings a key, usually, to have a solo chance to escape, ‘cause who knows how the rest of the team will play.
SWFs with keys is problematic.
SWF in general is problematic
...for everyone in DBD land.
That’s the real reason for this discussion, and many other posts in this forum... SWF.
SWF has altered and negatively impacted the game for Solo and Killer, drastically, depleting the fun level😔
You are right, actually my post is just a grouping of a bunch of counterarguments I had for many other posts I saw on the forum. Its not to be looked at as a cohesive complete thought.

Woof, where to start here.
Firstly, this should be called 'Whataboutism: A Thread'.
Secondly, survivors that use keys generally grab them the second the game is about to start, so forget Franklins.
Thirdly, killers are absolutely not in the power role. Unless they are a 1000+ hour monster with all the meta perks unlocked, the killer is going to struggle if even one survivor is decked out. And that's taking SWF out of the equation.
Fourthly: Highly skilled...whaaa?
Finally: Strongest killer vs strongest survivors...give some tourneys a watch and get back to me.
finding keys are even more unlikely than survivors bringing them into games, now I dont have any statistics for this but we can all at least agree that ebony and ivory moris wre more present in games than pink and purple keys.
I never said killers are the power role not sure why people dont thoroughly read op before posting, they kinda just take things out of context and then argue.
as for the strongest killer vs strongest survivor you also didnt fully understand that either. I never said that in the context of a tournament. the most skilled players using what they want to completely demolish the other side is what I meant.
that means you get a spirit or a nurse that can use an ebony mori they;re best addons and extremely oppressive perks.
also what I meant by highly skilled is that your skill level does not effect the power of the key within the game whereas if you are a skilled top tier killer the mori is just overkill as it allows you to control the match far more than regular where some survivor would be able to overcome your capabilites.

The lack of fun stems from the lack of info and real chance of beating her if shes good. When you make winning a chase a possibility by being good and attentive yourself fun can be had.
The term doesn't allow for an actually conversation for balance. It is just a subjective view. Even if this tweaks were implicated a vast majority of survivors wouldn't suddenly start having fun playing against her. She can still dominate you in a chase. Like why should clown get a buff? He is the most "fun" killer in the game to me! But seriously a spirit tweak should definitely happen, I just don't think survivors will actually be satisfied with it.
-
I wouldn't necessarily say make her more "fun" to play against. Her husk could disappear or sounds could be loud as hell while phasing but does that mean survivors will have a fun time against her then? Most likely not.
-
Also in my experience I tend to get bad teammates or "unfun" killers and do you know what I do? my best. I know that sounds crazy but its led to some amazing moments that I would take over bullying a killer who refuses to tunnel and camp for my enjoyment. I'd rather punish them or find some way to overcome it and those moments are why I still play the game.
-
I know what the original post said but from what I gathered this person has been only playing survivor recently and has been upset with the way killers are playing. What I asked was to stop playing survivor and play killer solely for a long enough time period to understand the other side. It's very easy to lose understanding for one side or the other when you end up playing one for too long. As I said if you play killer for a long time you will inevitably camp or tunnel its just impossible if you want to win or at least get a kill or two.
If you truly played both sides then you wouldn't make a post like this on the forum.
-
I really wish before people made posts like this that they'd at least play killer for like a whole week. Everything survivors complain about they'll end up doing when they play killer. This is inevitable and the worst part is you wont even realize it. Also everyone has a different experience do not judge certain roles or even the game as a whole on yours alone.

Survivor Perk: Outlast
The desire to live keeps you from slowing down.
For every 10 seconds that passes during a chase you gain 1% haste.
While not in a chase for more than 10 seconds you lose the added haste from this perk.
Survivor Perk: Soul Exchange
You'll give your life for those in need
Press the activate ability button while unhooking a survivor to transfer one of your hook states to them.
You cannot use this perk on your last hook state.
-
why would you commemorate somebody for using a build that gets them killed faster as opposed to one that gives them a better chance at survival? lets just say you are a god looper and can evade killers with nearly any build, would their pp fluctuate in size due only to the perks they select? lxl idk this whole thing is just funny to me. I personally dislike unbreakable more than ds because I slug as a tactic.

Problem is console FPS drops cause survivors to miss skill checks so not a great fix for console crowd.
I guess it'll get even worse with the graphical updates that will gradually get released. I hope the add more graphics settings to reduce the effects for the sake of frames

That would actually be terrible though too, because the pyramid head skill checks never accept my input. I can hit great skill checks no problem, I can hit DS and overcharge skill checks--but the pyramid head ones straight up don't acknowledge that I pressed a button.
Sorry to hear that I think this probably will happen no matter what where your inputs somehow arent acknowledged during games but the Pyramid head skillchecks will be much much better than what we currently have. No more button or key smashing and if you miss you wont instantly die.

Yeah, hook struggle I just use mouse wheel. For a controller, I don't know what else you could use as I don't play console or use a controller.
For the pick-up struggle, I don't even bother. I am not sitting here and smashing two buttons like that and wearing out a not in-expensive keyboard. Just hook me and be done with me.
yeah that mechanic is frustrating as well

Nothing announced yet. But the devs did gather some feedback on a past survey they did in which they asked if they liked the struggle phase of the Piramid Head cages which is based on skill checks compared to tapping. 👍️
Some people also go around it by changing the keybindings and binding it on mouse wheel. Try it, maybe it can help you out. 🙂
thanks but the change cant come soon enough especially with crossplay being in the game now. Im not exactly sure how mouse wheel will help but I'll definitely give it a try

I made a post and also explained that the devs should do something because they will NOT make another adrenaline, bt or ds. They will just keep making average survivor perks in fear of making something like original mettle of man because keep in mind 4 people on the same team can run it. However I do very much like Soul Guard which in my opinion is the best perk since MoM.
As I said before I had an idea in which once you reached a new devotion you could combine select perks to make one legendary perk with the effect of both the perks you used to create it.
Thats about the only reasonable thing they can do other than that they will not release any new perks as strong as the current survivor meta.

I read it, I understood what you have written but I didn't understand the reason to do so.
What's the advantage of combining perks? Just getting the ones you want from the bloodweb faster? The main reason there is a limit of one perk per level of the bloodweb is that it takes a lot of playtime to get every single perk.
with the amount of content their releasing and the lack of objectives and interaction within the game there will only be more and more useless perks implemented int o the game. This will decrease the chances of someone getting the perks they desire and increase the tedious grind to do so. There is obviously a point and its touched on within my original post. There is no way you are telling me that if this were in the game you just wouldn't use it.
I dont think I made it clear but combining 2 perks and making them legendary will create a single perk that has the abilities of the 2 used to create it.
Also their isnt a limit of one perk per bloodweb. that is usually for levels 1-5 after that you then have the ability of getting 2-4 perks per bloodweb.

I also want to say that I main Spirit and this week I played against a swf that all ran ds and head on, can't remember what the other perks were. I remember those too distinctly because I got ds'd 3 times and head on'd 2 times that match. Still got 4 kills and I dont use moris on Spirit because... well its Spirit. If I did it would be an absolute slaughter because a mori counters both ds and unbreakable as well as removing a survivor from the game early. At that point I hope someone finds a key or brought one because those cheeks are inevitably getting clapped.
-
Well... perks in general give you an advantage in some form or another. Also many meta survivor perks can be countered by killers. I never mentioned skill in my post because thats not the point. I can't use my 3,000 hours worth of experience to pick myself up from being slugged nor can I use it to get off the killers shoulders in the endgame collapse 30 seconds after my last hook. I also do agree and said that they need to make some changes to the way perks are now but I guess everyone ignored the second half of my post.

Although I liked nurse before and only wished her extra blink addons were removed she is still extremely strong. Think about it, after all the changes made to Nurse since her initial release how is she still the best killer in the game? Not a single killer now and I think even in the future can knock her of the top spot. There are still nurses today that put the fear of god into rank 1 survivors and toxic swfs. If anything the new changes are just a small hindrance to an experienced nurse player.

Spirit does not need any base kit changes; however, her movement speed add ons are way too strong, and need to be changed.

I have over 7k hours rank one on both sides. So what is your argument then?? Trick her out play her counter play her all the same to me. Yes there are spirits where it feels almost impossible to beat but you can figure out their faults and use them against her. I play rank one spirits ALL the time and escape and pip against them. I just honestly think she just needed a few tweaks to her addons and of course ill agree with you on the collision factor but all in all I do enjoy playing against a good spirit.
Dont worry everything I said was cordial. Though you must understand, you have the potential to last as long in a chase against a spirit as a rank 15 survivor more often than not. Thats simply not good game design. You also have to understand that you are missing my overall point which is the chase. If you survive against the spirit good for you but you arent telling me you are consistently looping Spirits with your methods. If your argument just boils down to you like her now then that should not change with my tweaks. I feel an inevitable Spirit rework anyways and I doubt im going to find you in the discussions saying how you are going to quit the game after 7k hours because of the Spirit changes. lxl

There are def things you can do to counter her and i wont sit here and argue with someone who obv already has their mind made up. If you are unclear if she is phasing or not at a pallet bounce to the next tile. If you know for a fact she is phasing do things she isn't expecting. Pulling the pallet on the front side instead of going through it. Fast vault then immediately slow vault back through. There are other ways but those are quick ones.
I decided to look up videos by trusted veteran players of dbd because so far everything I said has been mostly what I have deciphered from this issue. Turns out for the most part my views align with their thoughts on the subject.
"There are def things you can do to counter her and i wont sit here and argue with someone who obv already has their mind made up."
ok...... but this is me:
"I never wrote that there are no counterplays to Spirit and I also never wrote anything about her not being able to lose a match."
There is no argument here because I havent taken the opposing side to what you have been saying. I will say you cant necessarily "counter" the Spirit with what you suggested those are merely things survivors do to trick her. I will also point out that these scenarios do not guarantee anything. Im curious to know how many hours you have in the game and which role do you play the most as well as average rank.

Only nerf spirit will see may be another look at her addons. I don't think they will nerf her basekit.
Knowing the devs they probably wont listen to the complaints that many people really want which is a better way to evade her during a chase. It'll just be a random surprise thing that no one asked for.
