It would be cool if the map was Clamp Center from Gremlins 2. That way it isn’t just another small town

This is a really late reply. I apologise. The actual reason I picked an outdoor map, is cuz I recieved comments on my posts that people would lose their mind if they recieved another indoor map. So I decided to go with the people choice of such, but yes, you're right. That would likely be the most obvious pick as well.

  • They have addressed this issue on their twitter and are looking into a fix.

  • If you want to investigate more, I can provide proof as well that I have played leatherface if it helps at all. From pretty far ago, but I don't know if you need more information. I don't know if it helps. This whole thing has left me quite confused.

I also haven't gotten mine. I can send proof via my adept leatherface achievements that I have played before the date if needed. Will gladly send my Id, though I don't know how private messages work here.

  • I also didn't get them. I think its bugged.

  • The 24 hours has passed, and I still didn't recieve them

  • Yeah, I wish I understood the math behind it, because it leaves me confused if its bugged or if I was really meant to only get 100k, and people just had way more offerings than me, but I don't feel like I got my blood points refunded for the amount of offerings I have recieved over time, unless I somehow managed to avoid that offering. I do know for a fact I have a ton of map offerings, because I rarely ever use them, but I never counted how many hawkins offerings I had, or any offerings for that matter. I don't keep check on it, but it does feel strange. Maybe I had less than I thought, but oh well.

It isn't the end of the world in any scenario.

  • Oh yeah, i'm very happy my question got answered in that stream. Was fun stuff.

Ngl Double-Edged is kinda just way weaker Corrupt Intervention. Also, I hope that the killer can't attack at the beginning when they are still completely invisible and have no Terror Radius, as that would be kinda busted (essentially Spirit on crack at the start). Also, Quick Revive existing would incentivize every single survivor to only every bring medkits and this perk.

They can't attack while invisible. They need to take the shape of someone.

I changed quick revive to make a little more sense. I meant it to be at 99% recovery you could consume one. It is a little strong, but its basically just an unbreakable with an extra requirement. Except you could potentially get more use out of this one IF you have a medkit. May require some tweaking. Most killers just pick you up, so i'm unsure how much it actually changes the game, and if the killer uses franklins, it makes the perk useless. Same with if you wanna use the medkit for heals.

Double edged is a bit depending. If you don't use any totems in your builds, its pretty good. Since survivors can do zero progress on gens during that time, but I understand what you mean.

    to much like the thing

There's no the thing killer in the game yet. This is based on a real license, and that's just how the creature from It Follows works. Whether there's similarities is an entirely different topic, but so long as none of the licensed characters exists yet, it should not matter.

  • @Mandy said:

That's incredibly detailed! Well done for creating the whole concept and probably giving me nightmares :) (am arachnaphobic)

Oh my, I apologise. I too am a bit afraid of spiders, maybe not arachnaphobic, but yeah! Thankfully its a bit more humanoid, which I imagine helps 😊

  • @Lord_Xylum said:

Not a bad concept. Several of the perks could use some fine-tuning, but I appreciate your creativity with The Spider's power and visual design.

yeah, admittedly not all perks are the greatest. I've made so many chapter concepts, so some of them come out a bit ehhh, in the perk department, but it is fun to try anyway with making these.

  • Yeah that's true. Would probably need a bit more power to be useful and worth the time. Like giving expose effect and reveal the survivor or something.

  • I agree. I hope they fix it a bit. Also not sure why they all look so mad.

  • I think Legion is underratedly weak. I just think people refuse to acknowledge it, because his gameplay is unfun to play against.

But think about it. He has no map pressure. At best he can maybe get a free hit, and on some others (unless they are split up), and even then he has to walk super slow, with no abilities to help him in loops or pressure to put on maps as he attempts to get the second hit in. I dare even say you can win against legions by simply going from pallet to pallet, when he tries to get his second hit, and there's zero he can do about it.

A trapper can stop a loop entirely. A trapper can get you with a surprise. Trickster has range, and unless its a wall loop, he can hit you with his attacks, unlike legion, who just has to loop the same thing over and over. Pig has map pressure with her traps and a loop dash, plus stealth abilities. Clown can get end loops with his bottles if used right. Myers has some struggles, but at least he has an instadown and a really short terror radius.

Yeah I know, if you want a Scooby Doo chapter in this game that's good for you, but I personally can just never see it happening nor do I want it.

“Scooby Doo is near and dear to Behavior, we’ve made a few games over the years, so yes, it is something we have brought to the table a couple of times. Unfortunately, the Scooby Doo franchise is one that they absolutely now want to keep kid friendly forever. There have been a few exceptions, on Supernatural the TV show and the Scooby Apocalypse comic series, and maybe there was a time they were more open to that kind of thing, but no, there is no chance right now. But that sort of thing, yes, we are constantly looking at what else we can do. The Scooby Doo thing was obviously one of the first things we looked at.”

I will reference it here incase you're curious of how the interview went, but as my post mentions too. It was unlikely from the get go. It is more of a fun chapter and wishful thinking. I would imagine if they ever got the scooby license, they would have to change the characters up a bit to fit the aesthetic of Dead By Daylight. Similar to how they changed the characters to look older in Scooby Apocalypse. That's what I mean it all depends on how they approached it.

I don't see as negatively as you do. If you ever read scooby apocalypse, then fred loses his head. It is all about how they approach it.

Besides, if you ever looked it up. You would know the developers already attempted to get the license, but warner bros said no back in 2019. So whether it can happen is also unlikely for that reason, but in that interview they also stated that there was a time where it may have been possible because of the same comic I referenced here.

I mean, you can have different opinions. Fred loses his head if you ever watched and read scooby apocalypse.

Ah yes, I can't wait to see Scoob and the gang get their skulls broken by a Japanese demon and their flesh ripped apart by chainsaw wielding cannibals.

Lmao, I would love to see it. Though I personally didn't list scooby doo as a playable survivor for a reason. Even if he can walk on two legs. It seems too far stretched and I don't think people would like that at all. Dogs are sacred.

  • Did you all see the main menu? A map with that theme, would've been so epic.

  • People have varied opinions, but I really like having and leveling up new survivors. It gives me something to do. I have most at full prestige as it is. Without new lore, characters and things to keep me going. I'm not sure I would play as much.

  • you can still keep the outfit if you bugged it before the fix. So its likely those people you see now.

  • Big Daddy/ Elizabeth - Bioshock

    Werewolf/Selene - Underworld

Clicker/bloater / Joel - The Last of Us.

IT monster/ Jay - It follows.

Are a few I can think of that I would like.

Bruh we remove pig clearly she is constantly a tier so she is perfect candidate.

I would cry if they removed Pig. She's so rare to play against, but she's still my favorite killer, and one of the only killer I am willing to play as. I just love everything about how she works. Just wish she was a tiny bit less RNG. Her head traps are such random luck if they work well or not.

  • Spirit. I just generally don't like her. Anyone else is fun though.

The power looks pretty good, promoting an offensive playstyle which really suits a feral animal style of Killer, similar to Demogorgon in a sense. I like it a lot!

Fainting Fit is cool, but I think it could be better. Maybe after 5/4/3 hits the perk activates, and it only works on uninjured Survivors? It could also apply the Oblivious status effect for 30 or so seconds, as well as cause a ringing so the Survivor can't hear anything for that time, since at the current moment it seems kind of weak.

I See You is just a direct buff to Legion, it's perfect.

Hex: Paranoia would be a meme, which is perfectly fine. It would mess with newer players a lot, too.

One With Death is pretty cool. The numbers would need some finetuning, but I have no idea what that finetuning would be, so I won't say anything any further.

Hurdling is pretty good, securing a lot more windows safe, and it separates itself from Dead Hard by being able to be used at any time.

Glass Cannon is really cool, but removing the increased rate of death on hook would be good. Removing 1 of 3 lives is balanced enough.

I really appreciate all the feedback you've given me. Thank you so much

  • I really wish we had Jason. :c

I don't even care for his power anymore. I just want him in the game.

  • @Critical_Fish said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/208585/chapter-idea-bioshock

I'm not overly interested in lore or anything, nor am I into Bioshock. I hope I can offer an unbiased take on balance as a whole.

The power seems to be perfectly fine, but how big is the primary power's range?

Opportunist is odd to me, but I do think it would be fine. With perks with cooldowns, though, most of the time levelling up the perk decreases the cooldown, so maybe lock the effect at 1.5 seconds base and have the cooldown be 60/50/40 seconds? It's all up to you, though. Also, does Opportunist effect the lunge that's required to activate it?

Hex: Cold Feet doesn't seem to be very good. The slowdown is minimal and the time even moreso. Plus, I don't think 2 Hex perks that spawn 2 totems could exist without adding another totem to every map in the game. Maybe it's a singular totem that decreases speeds for the first few seconds of a chase? Or maybe after unhooking somebody, a Survivor is exposed and hindered for 30/45/60 seconds? There are a lot of things that can be done with this.

Locomotion doesn't have anything listed as a difference between tiers. Maybe 5/10/15 seconds? Other than that, I like this perk! It would definitely be scary if it activated in a chase.

A Cry for Help is written a bit oddly, but I do like it. Instead of a limit to twice per match, though, maybe a really long cooldown? 150/125/100 seconds maybe? Or even 60/50/40 seconds would work, since this perk isn't overly powerful outside of the early game if you're the first one being chased by the Killer, since it tells Survivors who the Killer is and where they are.

Amor Animalibus is good, but it really needs a limit to how many groups of crows it can effect. Killers are already not that much faster than Survivors. Imagine this against a 110 speed Killer in its current state, they would never catch up. It also doesn't have a difference between tiers, so maybe "This can be used on 1/2/3 groups of crows at a time" or something?

I'm On a Roll is cool, especially as a counterpart to Locomotion. But it also has no differences between tiers, so maybe 5/10/15 seconds, just like Locomotion? It could also cause exhaustion, as a longer but slower exhaustion perk. In which case it'd probably last 10-15 seconds, and cause exhaustion for 60/50/40 seconds. Thinking of it, this combined with Sprint Burst would be the worst, it should definitely be an exhaustion perk.

Overall, good concept! The perks are interesting and unique, all with high quality, and the power the Killer has isn't as interesting, but definitely a unique blend of 2 different powers that could definitely be very interesting if mastered.

I will be honest with you. I am completely incapable when it comes to numbers and stuff. So I am deadly afraid to change numbers and seconds, because I have no clue what is fair and isn't fair.

But I think you have the stats right. One thing i've learned from sharing my concepts is that people also have varying degrees of how to balance things, that I am nowadays too scared to even try to get it right haha. This is just more of a very basic concept. I have no clue how fairness goes.

And again super thanks for the comment. I really do appreciate such critics!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1806605#Comment_1806605

Honestly, what? I looked at your concept and it's hardly similar to this one at all, the power isn't the exact same, definitely not a carbon copy like you are making out, and the perks are completely different.

Anyway, I really like this concept! I think the Opportunist perk could maybe last a couple of seconds longer. To clarify, would the perk reduce the recovery of the initial missed lunge? I really like the survivor perks, especially A cry for help! Would be great for warning teammates about an approaching killer.

Yeah, it would recover it quicker.

Also thanks for pointing out they aren't similar as well. Kinda annoys me people will go to such lengths, and call plagarism over something that isn't similar. The person even named their post 'the original', so i'm fairly certain they're doing it for attention.

Bioshock would be cool to pull inspiration from for sure! One of my favorite series of all time! And Bioshock Infinite is a masterpiece...

I like your ideas, I would however consider changing the Big Daddy to the Big Sister instead, for some more varied power ideas. The Big Daddy by itself seems too similar to the two chainsaw killers we already have... OR, keep Big Daddy, but make his powers more plasmid-based rather than Drill-based. At minimum, this could be achieved through add-ons I suppose, similar to changing Freddy's Dream Snares to Dream Pallets, we could have add-ons for the Big Daddy to swap, say, "Drill Fuel" for various plasmid tonics and enhancements.

Ooo, that would be very interesting.

I've wanted this for quite a while. Great job/effort thinking and typing it all out. I'm sure it wouldn't happen quite like this, but it would be awesome. I think that if we do get a Werewolf, it will be original/unlicensed to save them money. I would love this though.

Yeah, me and my friend talked about this. We both agreed it would likely be an original concept they would make. In any scenario, I still would love a licensed chapter of underworld. Too bad its likely not gonna happen, but one can dream!

  • @Scoted said:

I like the idea of a werewolf killer but unfortunately I think a lot of what you've mentioned is either similar to things already in the game or is made obsolete by existing things.

For example, the Wolf seems to be a buffed version of Demogorgon without the portals. It is slightly different as you can jump and lack portals but I'm not sure if it's different enough for it to be a chapter.

Also, 'I see you' seems like a buffed version of infectious fright and would make that perk obsolete. Hurdling seems like a worse version of dead hard so I would see people just using dead hard instead.

Glass cannon is interesting, acting like dying light but for survivors, I think some risky players might play it so that sounds good.

I feel like Fainting Fit is underpowered, it wouldn't actually do anything, especially with high level players. Maybe if it was witched to the hindered status effect it would be substantial.

I love the cosmetics! And the survivor looks cool, as well as the map looking so fun to play on, I'd love a mansion map with a big main hall. Although, hopefully it'll be better than Midwich. I love the chapter idea but some things may need a few tweaks. Good work! I also love the pictures!

Thank you. Yeah, as far as gameplay goes. How useful and varied abilities are, is something I do struggle with. I would edit it to make a more cohesive one, but I don't think am able to. I love making concepts, but I lack inside knowledge for these things. Still, I appreciate the feedback. c:

  • @BlooperReel said:

Ferocious Jump is something similar to what I made not too long ago and it actually reminds me that I did not account for indoor maps either. I doubt this will be too much of an issue because The Game is opening up a lot and that'll make Hawkins the single nastiest indoor map so I suppose players would just suffer on that map as either of our killers.

Not really sure how I like Fainting Fit, it's less annoying as a similar concept I saw but it's not the worst thing I've seen

I See You isn't bad either but I personally think there might be better perks, plus I'm sure I'm missing out on a way that might stack weird in an unfair way with certain killers, not sure.

Hex: Paranoia is actually probably the best imo but it seems to underpowered, the timer is a tad too quick but the main problem is that it's just not all that great. It'll get some people but at some point you'll drop it in favor of other perks.

For One With Death; 2 tokens is effectively a weaker version of Bond, 3 tokens is pretty okay, 5 tokens is a weaker version of Hope.

Hurdling seems like a combination of (as you said) Dead Hard and Lithe. I doubt the developers will go for this one.

I have mixed feelings about Glass Cannon, this relies on you really keeping away from the killer, at high ranks you'd be better off just using No Mither (no offense)

no offense taken. I appreciate all opinions and critics. c:

    Joel...is a villain

Yes and no. He did what it took to survive, so more of an anti-hero, and he changed for the better by the second game. So much so he put faith into strangers, which ultimately became his demise. He tried to be a better person, and that is the Joel I want in Dead By Daylight

  • @Deadlock said:

Please do get back to me

Hey there, don't know who you are, but I didn't use anything similar to yours on purpose. If you wish to know where I got the idea for killers power, it is taken directly from the actual bioshock wikia.

    https://bioshock.fandom.com/wiki/Bouncer

    Attacksedit | edit source

When in combat, the Bouncer will produce three different kinds of attack:

    • Drill Slam: In this attack, the Bouncer slams the ground with its drill, causing a tremor in the surrounding area and disorienting anyone in the radius. Usually the Bouncer will follow this up with a Charge; the foe will often be too sluggish to avoid it.
    • Drill Punch: This is the Bouncer's basic attack, it is accomplished when it drills into its foe. If against a Splicer, the victim is killed instantly. In the case of the player, the attack deals a severe amount of damage, killing the player if they are low on health.
    • Charge: If the victim is far from the Bouncer, it will charge at them at high speed. This knocks the foe back, dealing them damage in the process. In the case of the player, they will also have their camera swung around and temporarily blurred, momentarily disorienting them.

That is his power from the actual game.

I don't steal from others. I put effort into my work, so I don't appreciate such accusations, especially when the only similarity is the power that arrives from the actual game. Difference is mine is closer to it. Thank you very much.

  • Read the comment underneath

    1. Added a survivor with perks and lore.
    2. Put a more descriptive understanding of the killer power.
    3. Nerfed some killer perks for the moment.

I don't think Buffy is a good fit for a suvivor. She's a character that should be able to fight back, even against a lot of DBD's supernatural cast. She's too strong of a character, both physically and in terms of skill/capability to be a survivor. It would not make sence imo to put her in such a helpless role.

I don't know her lore or person, but then again. Ash and Bill exists. So I don't think its really an issue. I mean, even David could probably kick up Legion if we were realistic.

And Ash killed an entire zombie army and multiple demons.
