I do not mind any of the Survivor mechanics introduced into this Black Banquet event.
But what, really, is there for Killers to do?
Being able to Poison Survivors is actually really cool! I LOVE the Poison mechanic! But being able to Poison Survivors and only sometimes get value out of it hardly feels equitable for Killers compared to the tremendous amount of constant new mechanics being thrown at Survivors.This event is so boring for Killers, and that's been a worrying trend recently.
When new mechanics are largely only for Survivors, Killers feel neglected.Blood Moon offers absolutely zero new gameplay for Killers, just more objectives that are harder to defend.
Black Banquet is, by and large, almost exclusively constant boons for Survivors.
As Killer, I like throwing the poison bottles, but honestly it doesn't feel like it's doing much for me. And you don't get to see direct payoff from poisoning food, either.Not to mention, I keep charging my bottles and then my camera snaps around 180 degrees to force me to poison a Food Cart behind me that I didn't see.
There is very little new fun or interesting things for Killers to do, and that's been a recurring theme for new events recently.
Why did we remove the Killer anniversary mechanics? Events are becoming so boring and rather stressful more than anything for playing Killer. It makes me want to not play Killer during any events.
Killers always get screwed over even though survivors are the ones with strong perks and infinite pallets, killers are the only ones ever nerfed, survivors never get nerfed even when it's something gamebreaking like Streetwise, like how they didn't killswitch it until they got enough backlash and claimed they didn't have a killswitch at first

After playing the event for 1 hour on survivor and 1 hour on various killers, this event is nowhere near as interactive for killer, but it is pretty fun on survivor.
Survivor can go to the food carts scattered around the map and get plates of food for 1 of the 4 buffs, depending on the meal of the round. They can also put 4 plates on 1 table to globally heal survivors 1 health state instantly, along with whatever boost the meals give. It's really fun to play as a survivor, and you can get significantly rewarded for using the tables and meals effectively.
Killer gets 4 poison balls that recharge that you charge to throw. This poison can slow down survivors when they get hit or run through the temporary cloud (think smaller version of Clown's purple bottle) for… a delayed "walk only" mode after a few seconds of the survivor being able to sprint? It's pretty much a temporary stamina bar that can heavily hinder a survivor after. You can apply this generators, pallets, windows. I will say, this felt really nice while playing an M1 killer when I did get value out of it. While it can give you some information on where a survivor is and sometimes help in chase, that's really all there is on the killer's side. There's little interaction with the tables and food carts, and it honestly feels like playing the regular mode with random buffs for survivors if/when they do use the tables. If the survivors are efficient in generators, poisoning interactables (tables and carts included) is essentially useless and ignored. The efficient killers I played against really only use the poison like Clown. It really only becomes interactive at 1 gen/last survivor, at least in my games.
My point: The masquerade event had killer AND survivor interactions that felt like something actually changed on both sides. Remote hooking, remote endure, remote breaking for killer, and blocking window vaults, setting party pallets, and quiet mode for survivors. This plus whatever the "trick" would be (all survivors healed but exposed immediately, for example). The masquerade event felt like everyone had something to do or something affecting them, and the global trick felt like it could turn the tide in a normal game. This event feels like it's significantly lacking on the killer's side for interaction, with more than enough for the survivors to do.They definitely don''t gave a damn about killer, as we've seen with the insane pallet density and their refusal to nerf op survivor perks, they just want survivors to have fun and trample all over killers, that would explain why killer has nothing this anniversary and survivor has everything

Aside from the lack of cakes I am having a ton of fun with the event and am unable to write about it.
The event is insanely survivor sided from what I've heard, but the lack of cakes and a map is way too awful and lazy to ignore, not to mention the piss poor bp modifier

That would just be tunneling slugging or camping so explain how to to make the power not harder to remember where to go constantly in real time without these things happening pigs power is a mix of pyramid heads and onyros and pyramid heads teleports them away and onyros needs to be nerfed tunneling needs to be addressed just like on skull merchant camping needs to be addressed and by giving the survivors buffs when the killer decides to play in an unfun way on that specific killer instead of deciding the power shouldn't exist because it's too hard to balance we have to find a middle ground potentially giving survivors if the killer comes within 5 meters elusive and a half sprint burst for free but what your not understanding is that we can do those things after we administer the first round of updates the head trap kill rate won't even really go up that much it will just be that good players will actually just hook not right in front of the box where they're about to get their head trap off on and she'll be in the realm of power of pyramid head and onyro it's not fair that she continues to be the worst killer in the game
Wow ok, first of all Onyro does NOT need a nerf, she's like bottom 10 killers in the game, she's a noobstomper, and tunneling does not need to be addressed, there are perks to counter it, use them
Also survivors sure as hell don't need a buff, idk what the hell you're smoking, survivors are the strongest side by a landslide currently

Both of them could use being permanently 115% because a good Jason or Springtrap is 115% for 80% of the match anyway so why not just go the full mile
-
@SoGo said:
Ah yes, just because a new release has an incredibly long haste buff for the most of the trial, every other killer that has range is suddenly eligible for it too.
I think that outside of Deathslinger, all of the ranged killers are fine speed wise. Jason could get a bit of the haste trimmed (15 seconds sound good?).
Whiny survivor alert, 115% for the older killers like Huntress and Deathslinger would be fine because that's one of the buffs they NEED at this point, and Jason should've been permanently 115% too

"sidegraded springtrap" is wild considering he has info, insane mobility and the same ranged attack.
Hes easily A tier, Ive seen people argue S tier, but i believe he falls short of it considering Nurse and hillbilly are the prime examples of S tier killers.
Hes stronger than all B tier killers you could mention.
He definitely isn't A Tier, his Spike is incredibly skill reliant, survivors can easily stealth his power so he's one of the hardest killers to tunnel on, not to mention he reverts to 4.4 m/s when downing a survivor and all of his add-ons are terrible except Dirty Money, Deputy Badge, Sauna Rock, and Noisemaker
He is most definitely close to a Springtrap sidegrade

Making her see box auras is incredibly unhealthy lol
Yeah there's a reason that was removed, because Pigs would just camp the closest boxes and back then there were less of them iirc
-
@pidgeon said:
I consider myself an avid Trickster hater myself, but it makes literally no sense as to why he is 4.4
They only reverted him to 4.4 m/s because of whiny survivors and Trickster mains who don't want anyone to play the killer who aren't diehard Trickster fans/players and they want to gate keep the killer for some reason
After the the first week or two of the Trickster update I haven't seen him since except maybe once or twice
What they did to him made even less people play him overall

Jason's overloaded kit is an issue, but i agree outside of jason being permanently 4.6. he's the only one out of those examples that couldn't use the buff.
Deathslinger,huntress and trickster would all benefit from that buff, and id personally be happy with it seeing as they have no other map traversal. I think springtrap can stay 4.4 m/s unless we get some other nerfs in the near future. But yeah for the most part i agree.
Jason does not have an overloaded kit, he is just the path that killers are headed and need to head to keep up with the meta while not being super insanely busted
He's basically a sidegraded and slightly stronger Springtrap, but Springtrap should be 4.6 m/s without any nerfs, both Springtrap nor Jason are not any higher than the pinnacle of B Tier
B Tier killers do NOT need any nerfs

Huntress should only be 4.6 when out of hatchets in my opinion
I disagree, she could be 4.6 permanently and it wouldn't be an issue, she's already slower moving than other ranged killers while charging/winding her hatchet

IMO breaking lockers is probably way too hard to code for their current engine's limitations, and the only killer that only really needs or deserves special locker interactions is Dredge

@Rokku_Rorru said:
yeah they need to hurry up and make it a 3k required, it just creates slugfests whenever a killer launches, it's not fun for the adept chaser or the people playing against them.
It's not fun for the killer or the slugged person. They really need to do something about the 2v1 situation in endgame as well when 2 of 4 survivors are dead.

No you don't I rarely do to get my 4k's I think I have done it once because had some really bad luck and played like 20 matches with one of the killers. It takes about 1-5 mathes for me usually get the adept. They are not that hard that I need to slug. Its always in the end your decision. Adepts are not RNG achievements.
Hatch and Gate locations are completely RNG which definitely makes Adepts RNG because you need the 4k for the achievement. You either slug for the 4k or the last survivor is 90% likely to escape.
-
He really does not need nerfs, if you think he needs nerfs you just need to get better, because as it stands he's the most balanced killer in the entire game by a large margin.
-
Jason't isn't unbalanced, in fact he's probably the most balanced killer in the entire game that relies solely upon the user's skill. It's a skill check for both sides. To be precise he can only go into Omnipresent Evil every 12ish seconds, and there's a delay before he exit. If Jason is constantly hitting you with his spear it's because the Jason is either really good or you're really bad at dodging and playing around cover or you're taking low loops that are bad against him. You'll always want to take short high loops and never drop when he raises his spear, just like playing against Springtrap. If you do get speared or think you're about to get speared be out in the open where you get tons of distance. And if you need some perk tips when going against Jason Head-On and Overcome are great, Overcome especially so you won't be caught at a dead zone even if you get speared against a wall.
-
Jason isn't op and doesn't need nerfs, if people are hiding then that's on them for not playing the game properly, the whole game for survivors is running, looping, and doing generators. If no one is doing anything Jason will keep patrolling gens until someone takes chase, that's how he was created to be. Jason is an entirely skill check based killer on both sides. The Deputy Badge add-on isn't even OP because it gets up to the regression limit very quickly. If it was the old Deputy Badge before it was reworked you survivors would whine and complain even more because it's an add-on version of Hivemind that he gets permanently. At least with current Deputy Badge he actually has to find what generator people are on and doesn't immediately know where everyone is the whole match.
-
@Wezqu said:
The shocking truth they don't demand that. You chose to do it to get it faster.
You HAVE to 4k for the adept, and more likely than not YOU HAVE to slug for the 4k otherwise it's highly likely the survivor will escape through hatch or gate, because both gate locations and hatch spawn are completely rng. Achievements being solely based on rng are not good whatsoever.
-
@ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:
The fact that the adept can be gained by survivors using the hatch to escape without finnishing the objectives, but the killer has to ensure even the 4th person doesnt find the rng instant escape and complete the full objective, is what leads to every new killer coming out having extremely sweaty matches for the first several days if not longer.
Exactly, survivors have it so easy in this game compared to killers. See how hard it is to even activate a killer perk and all the gymnastics you have to do compared to survivor just vault a window or pallet to activate perk.

A lot of these changes are just wrong, the only one I see viable is changing rampage/the hex perk

Hey #########, it's a hassle to get an adept against survivors who are good at hiding and slugging for the 4k is boring af, maybe don't be such a prick when a good suggestion is made. It shouldn't require slugging for the 4k to get a damn adept.
