@thomasnut I don't have much to add there, well said. (Especially about computer rambos)

@Talmeer to my experience, Germans are BY FAR the nicest players ever. I have honestly never seen a German player insulting, harassing, humiliating others. I'm sure there are some, but literally any other country has more trolls than Germany. I love Germans.

    gotcha and ty.

Here i will do this. If people want to watch some amazing streamers check out the following people -

Devib and bluedamd - two phenomenal twitch streamers from Australia. Devi has an outstanding personality and a killer main who gives great tips n tricks. Blue is hilarious and she has a fantastic kind personality with a great community.

Perilsparks - a mixer streamer who has super high energy, also hilarious, an amazing personality and doesn't get the support he should from bvhr cause he's on mixer.

These 3 are amazing streamers who have 0 toxicity and deserve to be at the top of the dbd food chain.

    off to play, have fun.

  • i love the comments from people who say this perk or that perk is a clutch perk only used by less skiled players. noed is no less a clutch perk than tool boxes, insta heal med kits, borrowed time, adren, balanced landing, sprint bursts, etc.

If you truly have skill then you don't need any perks at all, correct?

  • @George_Soros said:

@thomasnut toxicity is necessary. A player is either the kind who likes purposefully annoying others, they'll be more loyal to the game if they can do it. Then there's the other kind, who hates trolls, but then again, these players enjoy destroying trolls, or watching someone destroying them.

It adds to the drama. We all hate Ochido, but we need him, because we need someone to hate.

Well i can't argue that, it's true enough. I'm mostly referring to the toxicity everyone claims to hate. Here is an example, me. I been playing just over a year now, I use to get toxic. However my toxicity was reactionary. I would "fire back" at people making toxic comments in end game chat, being toxic during the match, etc. I especially hate whom i consider computer rambo's. You know the type - the ones that will do or say anything because they are sitting safely at home behind a computer and not to your face.

It honestly took good friends and players i met to get me to stop this. Yet those same people go and watch, support, follow and recommend to others these very toxic streamers who have so many hours in game, great players sure, but are the most toxic people i have ever seen.

Dude, i hate dropping names but have you ever watched edgarallenbro? The toxicity level of this guy is horrific. Not only is he is one of the most watched dbd players on twitch but this guy is also gets supported by bhvr? It turns my stomach

There is a difference between being annoying for loyalty, destroying trolls, etc. and just being a horrific toxic troll yourself that does every toxic thing imaginable in game and their coinciding in game commentary just because they run in swf squads with other amazing, great players. who as unit can destroy even great killers - then become extremely toxic about it.

I won't drop anymore names but i'd always be rank 1 too if i only ever ran with the very best people in the game and no one else in swf sitting in party chat or discord. It's like playing with lebron james, michael jordon, curry and shaq, then not only boasting about how great you always are at the game but allows you to become super toxic about it at the same time.

Anyway i've made my point. Have a great day.

  • My two favorite replies to this thread are - you need to think by their audiences and content creators. I don't mind watching and learning from individuals who are both experienced and know the game.

What i find really interesting is how people claim they hate toxic people, toxicity in the game, follow and support the most toxic streamers. Not only are many of the above mentioned names some of the most toxic people i've ever seen, they are actually picked by bhvr as content creators and fog whispers. That absolutely astounds me.

I almost died laughing when having this very conversation with a friend and she introduced me to new terminology. She called it "acceptable toxicity. Some of these "content creators" and fog whisperers that have a huge following even put in their stream titles toxic survivor or toxic killer. You watch them and sure enough they are some of the most toxic people in the game starting with their actions in game, t bagging, bulling the killer coinciding with their comments in stream.

Putting that aside I do watch who i or others consider to be the best players at that certain role. Scottjund & Umbra as huntress as an example. I like watching these two and don't see much toxicity in their streams. Yet i also find there are individuals who i consider not only the best player with that killer or survivor but give far better advice then some of the names mentioned above, far better killers and usually 0 toxicity.

They are just far less well known or don't get the luv and support from bhvr or people like they should. Examples of these are pyschoscorpions who i believe just goes by scorpions now, by far the best pig player in the game. Talk about a great, amazing killer from England, he only ever uses whispers, brutal, monitor, and enduring on pig and absolutely destroys most everyone he plays. If you are that awesome and don't need meta or aura perks, he deserves some love. Especially since i never hear him be toxic when i watch.

Another amazing person to watch who has 0 toxicity and gives better advice on every killer then most of the "popular" ones is a guy by the name of devib from australia. 0 toxicity, amazing personality, and loves to teach.

So i got two questions. 1. Why doesn't bhvr ever support these people and 2. Why does bhvr only seem to support people, content creators, etc only on twitch? I never see them supporting anyone on any other platform like mixer, etc.

Sorry so long but there are a lot of great experienced amazing people out there that you never even heard of who are every bit as good, give just as good if not better advice and have 0 to very little toxicity in their channels. They just don't get the love, support or following they deserve because, well i guess they don't have any acceptable levels of toxicity to draw in the people.

they are out their ladies and gentlemen, you just gotta find em.

  • what is more impressive is the dev's allowing people to hurl personal insults on a public forum and do nothing about it. Having read the responses being hurled against my post a few thoughts did occur to me while grabbing my coffee.

Maybe I'm am just that much better a killer than the people responding claiming they play him and nothing is wrong. However i digress, here is a better thought to explain my position and im done with this. Being a Michael and pig main, i found ghost face the simplest and easiest killer i've ever played hands down. Micheal needs J myers memorial to stalk up as fast as ghost face does without it. End of story.

Against skilled survivors and a skilled swf crew it's a tad bit more challenging but not by much. Against mid level to low level survivors who don't loop well, look behind them when they run, etc. - it's over before it began.

This is my last comment about this, I have provided enough "honest" feed back on the matter. Fan boys will be fan boys.

  • I wanted to wait to buy him before responding back to these posts. I have bought him and played him both on pc and xbox. I stand by my original post. Having every single one of my killers on pc prestige 3, level 50, Ghost Face is the easiest killer i've ever played.

I can run super fast, tier up in seconds being able to stalk even faster than michael, and get a lot of survivors dcing. On top of that I discovered something else with him. He has a built in poor man's version of whispers. When i don't or didn't know someone was in a certain area hiding but i was looking in their direction and they mine - the detection sound goes off. I am instantly alerted to someone being close by.

I don't know why they have him listed as hard - Easiest killer i've ever played, 0 skill gap, 0 learning curve.

So i will conclude with once again, They went from one extreme to the other, He tiers up way too fast especially with ad on's. My addition comments about him being able to just camp hooks and insta tier up are also true. Testing it out from the killer side i could easily just hook someone, go hide within range, focus on stalking the person that just came to rescue an it was easier than reading peoples responses to my post who have no idea what they are talking about.

    I'm out.

    Good day

  • i understand the killer main fan boys are going to say he is not op, but he is exacty that. He stalks up way too fast, don't care what anyone says. I got plenty of stream proof to provide more than enough video evidence of him tiering up in seconds, and every ghost face killer in the game doing nothing but camping, tiering up in seconds.

It is so sad it's a joke.

  • Great idea.. However if this ever happened i hope it's better people then who was chosen for the fog whisperers. If you every actually watch them the are some of the most toxic people in the game.

  • The reason survivors complain about this is, well survivor mentality is a wonderful thing. They think it's okay for them to use any set of perks and use and strategy but the killer isn't allowed to do the same.

The reason being is they claim it's not fun for them. This is the only game i've ever seen where survivors seem to believe their ability to have fun relies on the other side. I have only one answer to that.

It is not my job to ensure you have fun. It's my job to kill you. If you want to have fun, play with friends, have a few drinks, you have discord for a reason. If that doesn't work, play monopoly.

The bigger problem is how toxic survivors get in end game chat when they don't even know what the killer's objective maybe. "Oh i'm so good, that match was ez, you suck", etc. Half the time killers maybe just working on a daily, working on prestiging their killers so don't have the perks they need yet, etc.

I've had situations like that, lost badly cause i just prestiged, worked on a daily, leveling up and got beaten badly. Got the exact same group of swf and now either had the perks i need or just switched to a different killer and utterly destroyed them.

I said this in another topic but the other problem is if you watch the biggest streamers on twitch, even the fog whisperers, are the most toxic people in this game.

I will have to admit i used to be toxic because i wasn't having fun. So my frustration would make me angry and toxic. Then i realized something, the reason i'm so frustrated is because people have been telling me i have to play a certain way. That if i don't play that way then the other side doesn't have fun.

Do you know when i finally became less frustrated, less toxic and started having more fun? When i stopped listening to people tell me how i should be playing, played the way i want to and generated my own fun.

When people finally learn their fun is something that should be totally be created by themselves and not other people, the game will be far less toxic.

  • $2,000 in this day & age is not a lot of money. Can make that in just 2 months at minimum wage. Pass.

  • Dbd is the most toxic? Clearly the op has never played world of tanks, dota 2, league of legends, smite, etc. What I find most interesting is how some of the most toxic dbd streamers actually get chosen and supported not only by the viewers who claim to hate toxicity but the platforms themselves. So much so they even put toxic survivor, killer in their stream titles. They also get supported by twitch and by behvr themeselves. Some of the dbd streamers who not only have the largest viewer followings are also in that fog whisperer program & they are the most toxic players i've seen.

  • Has nothing to do with lag and it's garbage. It's one thing to get hit at the window when you are vaulting. However to get get hit once you are safely on the other side and actually running away is garbage. Have the dev's ever heard of window frames?

If you actually watch the hit animations the killers swing from over their heads and bring the weapons down. Even a side to side motion would get caught on the side of the widow fame. So the chainsaws, hammers, butcher knife that michael holds over his head, etc all suddenly shrink to accommodate this game mechanic?

If you get hit on the other side as you start to vault, hit as your vaulting, okay. If you get hit when you are completely on the other side and actually running away, it's pretty much garbage.

    Enough said

  • yes i am streaming. i stream everyday. Generally from 6 30 est to 12 30.

  • it's affecting me in almost every match. If the lobby que times are not bad enough, i wait 5 to 10 minutes for a match. Just to have all 4 survivors dc in 4 matches in a row the second they realize i'm running the new killer with dark intervention.

I'm sorry to point this out but you might want to go back and punch yourself twice...

When it comes down to playing killer it's ridiculously stressful no matter what type of killer you are. Has for you expect us to get upset or defend this.

don't expect too many of us to really defend this just laugh given how many post killers and survivors make about The Killers job being a living hell.

I'm sorry but in all honesty. I play half & half. That being the case I get the horrors of Both Worlds. Playing a solo Survivor is annoying but easy and playing a killer can be exceedingly difficult and stress-inducing. Doesn't matter if you're going against survive with friends or whole group of solos

    Agreed.

You know what just punch yourself 3 times and we'll call it even.
The third is for being a. 4head survivor main

Now i'm the one that wished i had a lol button. After reading both of these it appears maybe these two also need to punch themselves., If you truly believe its stressful to play killer, especially these days after all the buffs to killer and nerfs to survivor.. It's truly sad. That's all i'm gonna continue to say about it cause truly reading these replies is a joke. Not to mention some individuals clearly need to invest in getting some reading comprehension skills,.

Here i will simplify it for you. i clearly said i'm a killer main. I play survivor a bit more now since good friends ask me to play. It is 100x easier to play killer. There is no horror to playing killer. There is 0 stress in playing killer nor the least bit difficult. In fact the only time it becomes a challenge is after you prestige a killer and don't have the perks/add ons anymore.

You know what the biggest challenge to killer is for me? Trying not to pip. The removal of pallets, removal of windows and looping spots, the nerfs to healing, exhaustion, reducing the red stain on killers, and the best one to date, introducing slow vaulting so even if you hit a widow at a dead run you slow down and slow vault. These people try to talk about positioning and getting greedy. i almost fell down laughing it's such a poor explanation.

When you are at a dead run or sitting right in front of a widow lets say at the killer shack or pallet and the killer is still at the far corner of the killer shack or around the other side of the pallet and they can run, lunge and hit you faster than you can just crawl thru or over something right in front of you for no other reason then the game forces you to slow vault. Especially when you are on the other side of the pallet or widow and running away. it's an issue. There is no excuse or explanation you can give that will justify it. None whatsoever.

End of story.. Have a nice day.

  • don't worry. i expect the killers to defend this crap. it's all good.

  • @Iceman said:
Playing as the Killer is more stressful than playing survivors. There is nothing easy about playing killer. As a survivor  player you may be use to taking advantage of certain mechanics that once its gone you feel like the whole game is collapsing. I play solo survivor and have no problem with surviving.

And camp/tunnel, I know it could be frustrating but either just hurry and move on to the next game.

complete crap.. i'm a killer main and when i tell you they made it so easy for killers you can take it to the bank.. When they continue to add things to the game like slow vaulting as indicated above.. it's just terrible. we are talking i'm running straight at a window or pallet and the game slows me down.. If you watch my streams you will see 95% of the time when i get hit it's for this reason or i have already vaulted and still getting hit. Not when i'm close to the window but a step or two away as i'm running.

The camping tunneling is the worst it's ever been.

Edited this to add. he suggest moving on to the next game.. It's not a fun experience when 49 out of 50 games in a row is the exact same thing.. Get hooked, Killer is either camping or proximity camping, you get rescued and the killer goes straight for the rescued survivor. It's at an all time low..

I am a very good survivor. Hitting rank 1 all the time.. i literally can't do anything anymore. There hasn't been a single game where i'm not being downed do to the vaulting changes. I usually try not to be negative but this is absoulutely horrible.

works fine for me. i guess you arent “a very good survivor”

    don't feed the trolls...

  • I am a very good survivor. Hitting rank 1 all the time.. i literally can't do anything anymore. There hasn't been a single game where i'm not being downed do to the vaulting changes. I usually try not to be negative but this is absoulutely horrible.

I played a few hours of survivor last night after the patch and didn't have a single issue with vaulting.
I have seen clips of the ultra slow motion vaults but I'm pretty sure that's a bug. I'm assuming it should be like regular slow vault if you don't hit the window right.

It's really not that bad (minus the bugged ones floating around).

It is absolutely not a bug. I have out run and out played every killer all day and the only way they ever get me is every time i try to vault something. i even had one match where i was running full sprint straight at a window and you can clearly see the game slowing my vault down.

If you ever wanted to play killer the time is now..

  • @yeet said:
both of these things are caused by lag and the devs aren't literal gods so they aren't gonna be able to fix it

its not lag.. not even close. if i get hit as i'm vaulting the window and fall down directly in front of it on the other side it's lag. when i get hit after already safely vaulting and in the process of running away that is just crappy game mechanics.

  • Everything the op said here is spot on. After 900 hours in and making many friends I hear just about everyone i play with say the same thing. They hate the red ranks and rank means nothing. At best most people just say they want to get to rank 1 just once to say they did it and don't care after that.

I have also watched many streams of rank 1 survivors and killers, some of them considered the very good to great players say the same thing.. They hate red ranks. I have heard them say and actually do depip on purpose.

My own experience, i have hit the lowest rank and hit red ranks for the first time yesterday as a survivor.. The lowest I've been as a killer is rank 7. I'd have hit red ranks long ago if i just stuck with my favorite killer. As it is i'm just working on getting em all to prestige 3. Anywho I notice the exact same thing. The lower or "better" your rank the worse it gets. I use to say all the time I can't wait to get to the red ranks as survivor to face better killers with skill. More skill and less camping..

I found the opposite to be true, the lower my rank got the worse the camping got with all of them running noed. Then it hit me, it's the only way 98% of them can get there.. Then they get toxic anyway.

On the killer side of things the lower i get the worse the comments and toxicity gets. I find it comically mostly because they don't even know what my agenda was. Meaning most of the time i don't even care about my rank or winning matches i'm just working on prestiging. Heck most of the time i'm running a killer at rank 10 or below with killers i just presitged and have little to no perks and still hold my own. Yet the toxicity starts the moment the match is over.. "that was ez" "you suck" etc.

The funniest thing i seen the second these "best" or "very good" red rank survivors get caught, they ran out of pallets to use, they can't loop or waste your time anymore, they instantly dc.

I wish they would follow ps4 and just get rid of end game chat. It's that toxic.

So i gotta be honest here I have the exact same mentality. I just want to hit rank 1 once and i really won't care anymore. I'd rather stay up in the higher ranks. Not because it's easier or to do better.. the players are far more friendly any and the game is just far more fun

That is pretty sad but very true.

    thomas

  • I am most excited about the map changes. Making it harder for survivors to continuously just run in circles and will need to start using real skill? Say it isn't so. Wraith changes and some of the new perks. i could care less about the new killer cause she just looks like a redesigned hag to me.. They could have done so much better on that score.

  • salt attempt. lol survivor mains will justify anything. it has nothing to do with salt. Just stating how pathetic survivors are getting and quitting matches needs to be addressed.

  • did someone actually say the new killer is top tier?

  • @Master said:
Did you notice that survivors are awfully brave already in the beginning of the game, runing up to you and clicking with their flashlight in your direction?

Yes it has something to do with balancing

I love when they do that. they make it obvious i don't need to chase them.

  • Here is how the game balance works. Survivors - "Dev's killers are too op, we need proper balance" Dev's "We reworked a couple killers to improve them and weakened some survivor perks" Survivors " wait what"? Review bomb, review bomb, review bomb, crying we are leaving" Dev's answer "survivors will now start the match with the exit gates open".

Have you stopped to consider that perhaps may'be people do get it, they just have different opinions of it than you. It doesn't make you right or them wrong at all. Just because you and or anyone that agrees with you doesn't make you right anymore than anyone that disagrees with same.

when their only answer is you just must be bad at the game - no they don't get it. Like the above post where he claims he loves the audacity of some to make vague statements when that is exactly what he just did. rofl. they have 1000 answers and 0 reading comp skills. Enough said. It's too early to feed the trolls.

  • Another post where the op has no idea what they are talking about. Pallets are still a real problem in this game. I have plenty of matches that I can post where there are an over abundance of pallets and they are all within 4 or 5 feet of one another.

The "genius" level players will tell you to just switch to other survivors. 100 bucks if you can guess what they do as well? You need 0 skill to play as a survivor. Better progression system where you can still pip even if you die and all you needs is 32 pallets every map.

  • it always amazes me after writing a lengthy post or reply some people still just don't get it. Worse they think they have the answer. rofl.

  • The game is broken in many ways. It makes it very frustrating when you do a good job and get punished by the game mechanics. On the survivor side of things since people believe they got it figured out - I play plenty of survivor. Got to rank 8 before the reset and it's 100x easier. All you need to do is x amount of objectives and still pip so dying and getting sacrificed is absolutely meaningless. There is 0 reason to fear the killer in this game.

In fact people forget it's a team game and as long as they pip they don't care if they die or all 3 of their teammates die, they still feel they won. However even on the survivor side there are major issues. It is extremely frustrating to do a great job in a chase, lose the killer and still get downed when you made it safely to the other side of a pallet or window and still get hit.

I have avoided huntresses just to get hit after i have already turned a corner because of the hit boxes. I have completely fished the wiggle bar to 100 percent completion and still get hooked because there is a killer vacuum and the killer slides 5 feet sideways to hook you.

    On the killer side of things it's completely opposite. I have kicked gens, broken pallets, hooked every survivor and hooked one of them twice and barely got any points. I have done all the above lets say hooked every survivor once, kicked gens, broken pallets, done damage and only got one sacrifice and still either barely got points or depipped. So questions;

Why is the progression system so broken? Why is one side objective based and the other is soley on how many kills you get? If it's based on how many sacrifices the minimum being two then if i met the requiremens why get very few points or depip? Why is the game so one sided?

To answer some of the naysayers above i do not camp 99 percent of the game. I have no problem defending the last hook. i have chased, done damage, broked pallets, done damage to all the survivors, either already got 1 sacrifice so that is my second. Or it's my first sac after doing all the above and still after doing my job as a killer, doing a great job the entire match I barely get points or depip.

So i will say again, the game is broken. fix it already.

And for the one person above since it seems so important,

    thanks.

  • an entire thread to defend infinite looping.. nice one.

What this op means is, he is glad they are just one step closer to starting the match with the exit gates already open.

Okay i’m done i won’t reply to troll sarcasm comments and people think they are funny

I wasn't trolling or trying to be funny,. I was dead serious,. Survivor mains in no way want a fair balanced game.

  • We don't need all these changes to hex ruin. All they need to do is either just hide them better, make dummy hexes or like one comment suggested, just make them look like ordinary hexes.

  • What this op means is, he is glad they are just one step closer to starting the match with the exit gates already open.

  • What i get out of this is - the changes will promote more unbalanced game play. More bullying/blocking from survivors with the changes to unhooking them. More infinite looping, and with the blood lust changes far more of what i always called my "just fast enough rule"

Survivors will now find it much easier to make it to every pallet in the game, running from one to the other, making it just in the nick of time, every single time, and killers getting screwed over in the chase once again. Espeically the weaker killers with poor map control.

    Nice one devs..

  • Here in lies the problem. Dev's are doing exactly what happens to every game i can remember. The player base complains, they try to balance the game. They fix something that wasn't broken in the first place.

Then take into account they are in no way fixing what really needs to be fixed and changing things that don't need to be changed. The only thing that really needed to be fixed is pallet vacuums or anything that gives one side an unfair game mechanic advantage. The other was just to balance the maps themselves in order to reduce the size of loops, fix infinite looping by pallets and windows and rework some of the killers to make them viable again.

Instead what do they do, they make a bunch of unnessary nerfs to survivor perks and try to buff killers, then screw killers over again in the next update..

If this game wants to go the way of Evolve it seems like the dev's plan is working.

  • Clown is easily a t1 killer. Most people just have no idea how to play him. They are so stuck on map control they don't even begin to realize he doesn't need the same map control.
Clown can easily deny areas and herd survivors exactly where he wants them. Learn how to do this, learn to master clown's area of effect skills and you will have an entirely different opinion of him.

  • I like the information here. The only one i disagree with is predator. It makes it easier to track survivors. The only problem i see with it is in choosing it i have to sacrifice a perk that maybe a bit more useful.

  • @rafiksom said:
So we are making the game extremely easy for one side which is not rewarding because you are doing 4kills in every single game, and extremely hard for other side because "we decided so".

It's one thing when this game is so toxic that survivors attack, degrade and insult killers after a match cause they are not happy about dying. It's quite another when they start attacking your family. I was streaming and after the match a player who i obviously can't name here came to my channel seen my wife walk by my web cam and just starting hurling insults at her.

I wish i knew where or how to send a copy of that portion of the stream to the dev's but this is unacceptable behavior. The dev's really need to start cracking down on the toxicity in this game. On all levels.

Are you really that stupid mate? If you get insulted on a stream (i guess twitch) for whatever reason, its not in the responsibility of the dev´s. the stream gave you tools to ban these guys on your stream, report this to police or just dont stream. i cant believe it how stupid you can be.

More proof dev's need to do their jobs. Not only does this person not know how to read when i clearly stated several times the comments were made in game chat an not in my stream channel. More importantly another example of direct insults cause nothing is being done about it.

You are absolutely right. It's not my job to police the world. It's the dev's job to police their own game. There is a reporting system in the game for a reason and they should start addressing the issue.

With that said i'm out. No reason to continue to debate this. With all the topics, posts, comments about how toxic this game is and the player base saying the same things, devs start doing your jobs. It's pretty obvious what they start needing to do.

After reading this and the insult to orion I rest my case. It's gotten so bad These kind's of people can directly insult people even openly on the forums because they have no fear of reprisal.

There is nothing i can say nor any example greater than this that the dev's really need to start doing their jobs. I need not say anymore.

    Good day

I believe you have your streamer name as your steam profile name, you might want to consider changing that. It hurts your self promotion, but it should cut down on the harassment suffered by you or your spouse on the third party website known as twitch.tv

This is actually pretty good advice and i may have to do that. I have been using the name for 25 years cause i got tired of every name i try to use already being taken.

I really don't want to change it because i've built my viewer base with it and have no other issues when I stream any other game but this one.

As a variety streamer and the many many games i love to play and stream there is only one of them that is toxic. Dbd is 100x more toxic then all the other games i play and stream combined. That is pretty sad really.

The devs will only take actions in extrememe insults like death threats etc in reports if it happens in game and you show there profile in the same video.

If you were streaming in twitch that part has to be reported to twitch not the DBD devs as its outside the game.

As i said in a reply after my original. The comments did no occur in my stream. It occurred both in game chat after the match and them coming to my stream after. The attacks and insults towards my wife were made in the game chat after the match. Which tells me they were also stream sniping since suvivors can easily see who the killer is after the match starts..
