It's already been nerfed/changed at least twice.
My logic still stands.

Slugging more than one survivor shouldnt even be possible, cause its just outdoing game mechanics to prevent any survivor play, and its just annoying as survivor (esp. the 4k slug).
Slugging is important when there's 4 survivors and only one killer. Gen speeds these days make slugging a must for killers to keep up, otherwise they'll just have to tunnel survivors one by one until he kills everyone or the survivors finish the gens. Saying there isn't any play when you're slugged is a bad oversight since the decision to either crawl away somewhere else or recover is just as important as any decision you make while you're up.

Killers are tunneling and proxy camping like mad men lately..

That's funny because it doesn't even apply anymore since the ruin rework.

If you go in the catagories section on this forum, you'll see a discussion on the rules of DBD. That would be a good place to check over.

No bait. Simply applying the logic behind the ruin change.
Thread was also not "ill thought out." Providing the explanation the devs gave behind the ruin change is, repetitive, Onyx. Corrupt does impact newer players. Because many killers pair it with discordance. New players don't study every characters perks right off the top of the bat. Corrupt is too passive - killer gets 3 gens blocked for doing nothing, where's the skill in that?
New players shouldn't even have access to corrupt intervention because it comes from the plague who is a DLC character. You said it yourself, "New players don't study every characters perks right off the top of the bat." so new killers wont have it equiped. It shouldn't and normally isn't a problem for new survior players. Your no skill arguement, as ABannedCat pointed out, is hypocritical compared to Decisive Strike and other perks they pointed out.
Nice try with the bait though.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/132446/this-forum-is-so-biased-towards-killers
The reason for that is simple. Most killer mains think ballanced gameplay is a 4K most of the time. In fact they probably get their 4Ks more often then not, but then once in a while they run into a swf team with better players on a bad map for killers aswell and they loose. After loosing the game, they come here and complain about how hard it is to be a killer, not thinking about that the last games were 3K and 4Ks all along.
And then there are those who are just bad. They want it more easy instead of getting better.
Killers are so entitled in this game, is completly ridicilous. Watch someone like Hexy or TrueTalent. All they do is complain how unfair it is, and how strong survivors are, while they get win after win after win. I could accept that, if they were any good, but they are not.
You're right, and I think it's a major design flaw with this game. If a killer doesn't get a 4K, he may see it as a loss, which is what I feel all the time. But a 4K game is supposed to be perfect outcome, there's no middle ground that a killer will be happy with otherwise. Because the developers are trying to balance the game where killers are getting 2k per match, naturally killer mains will be upset over the difficulty to get 4Ks. It's an issue that's common with most asymmetric games.
@megdonalds said:

Exactly this. That's why so many whiners create the same garbage threads in this forum because entitled killers don't get their entitled 4K in 1 of 10 matches and even when it wasn't against a SWF they will always cry SWF and gen rushing for it. The double standards and pointless complaints are amazingly high in this forum, but regarding both sides.
Yo. We gotta get a 4k at least within 10 matches. After that, 90% of people wouldn't want to play killer. It's more like we desire 4Ks for half our games AT LEAST, any killer after that would start sweating every match.

I love those 'I play both sides equally' players, like you said it gives them pause to launch into 'the problem with survivor is....'
Quick history lesson :3
Since release, killer has been buffed, survivor nerfed. This is important to understand and through examples you’ll see why that has happened. It shows you why the game has had the trajectory it has and why we are now in our current quagmire, as you said the biased forums.
It all started at release with the introduction of swf and the 2 escapes, 2 kills devs unit of metric. You don’t have to like the metric but it’s whats given the survivors all their nerfs and all the killers current buffs.
The devs failed to understand that people would want to play with friends in an online game (serious), what we got was ‘lobby wars’. Where survivors would join different lobbies looking for their friends and leave if they couldn’t find them. It was horrible trying to find games. Hence why we got swf, that completely unbalanced the game by creating coordinated survivors that could communicate. The devs have been nerfing survivor ever since and completely crippled solo survivor play.
It also important to mention marketing and advertising. There’s nothing special about survivors, they are just reskins with some new perks that all play the same. THATS IT. EACH killer has its own unique play style and as you see from their advertising, its always new killers they promote. Survivors get a mention, but its never really the selling point.
DBD reddit, back in the day was all about poking fun at survivors and giving you the impression that every second game is SWF and heavily biased against killers. Which was a lie. OP SWF games are maybe one in 30 games with most swf games being friends who are just wanting to have fun and usually end up wiping. But there was no push back, the killer echo room there would down vote anything survivor sided.
Killers now are up around 70% kills due to the trajectory of the game and the devs metric system.
That coupled with the points I mentioned previously meant that a lot of survivor mains left the game. Which is kind of obvious, I mean you understand the devs unit of metric, sure, but you just watch nerf, after nerf, after nerf as it all gets taken away. Why would you stay for that?
Its kind of miserable.
What has this created? In short. Entitlement. Killer mains know if they whine, they get what they want.
THIS is the environment the devs have created and what you see on the forums.
The things that you reference "as it all gets taken away" were things back in day that survivors could do to really make the game unplayable for killer, like body blocking him in a corner and healing every 2 seconds. I didn't play DBD back in day but nerfs for game breaking features like that seem justifiable. To say that's its miserable now seems like you're suffering from the loss of power to abuse features like this and bully the killer on your whilm.
The 70% kill rate is another thing. We know the devs are aiming for that number to be 50%, which I'm sure the devs will try to gravitate towards with killer nerfs / survivor buffs here pretty soon. The point is it that BHVR has always tried to balance the game, even if it has taken them years to do so.

If you could demo the licensed killers you would learn majority of them are weak and you won't buy them. They are mostly to draw in crowds at this rate. Very few are good at end game or fun to play.
Mikey is good for jump scares but that's about it.
Bubba is a weaker billy.
Pig I find fun but very rng reliant with RBTs. Has some mind game potential with her dash but if you screw it up it extends the chase.
Freddy was so bad at launch the F tier was named after him. Now he is pretty good.
Ghost Face I enjoy playing as. I like his jump scares and I "can" do well with him at red ranks. Depends on how well they can reveal me.
Demo is fun. Has some stealth and map pressure with his tunnels but an average killer.
Interestingly enough, Freddy is the only one that I have tried out, and 2 of the 4 people I played against instantly gave up. I found it quite fun to play him otherwise, and you can't tell if a character is strong or weak if you can't equip perks on them.
Let's be honest here, Bubba needs a buff. Nobody likes to play him as he is.

Myers is fun, but just doesn't have enough pressure in red ranks. Never really cared for demo personally, but that's just me. I have fun playing with trapper and just spamming traps in random spots. Always amuses me when I get the TRAP!
If you think trapper is good now, just wait until the chapter update comes out and they disable the ability for survivors to disable bear traps :D

My mistake, I meant to say that there would be plenty of videos & content to watch, and again, splinters stopped with pig and haven't even been working lately so I feel people are just complaining because they're taking something out, and not because people actually use them.
It really does suck that the shards don't work properly right now. There's a lot of people who have less than 200 hours in the game (Im assuming after that is when people decide to invest more money in the game) including me who are gonna lose out on a really cool feature which could possibly net BHVR more money for DLC characters.
You guys like to joke that they're taking away shards bc they don't want people to realize how 💩the license killers but I'll say the opposite l. If it weren't for a freddy shard that I used, I wouldn't be considering buying freddy. People are more inclined to spend money on a character if they get to try it first.

I don't really have an issue keeping up with Myers in the Red Ranks. Unless it's a bad map...but even those I can overcome if I play smart. But he is my main. As for Demo I think his power is fun. People panic and start doing weird turns that slow them down when Demo readies a charge allowing for a lot of easy hits by canceling and going for a normal attack. He also can annoy the crap out of survivors when you place portals by gens. You can just keep checking and see if any survivors are working on the gen or your portal, giving you map awareness. Survivors also waste time destroying them so there is a little bit of stall potential...and of course some extra fast travel.
But uhhh....neither are as brain dead as Freddy, if that's your idea of fun.
I have a guilty pleasure of finding enjoyment in which the odds are in my favor. Freddy seems to fit that bill, from orzdovos's perspective at least.

Splinters haven't been a thing since the Pig, I don't get why everyone is getting up in arms about it now?
Additionally, everyone saying "You can't test the killer before you buy it", how many games let you test their DLCs before you buy them? Additionally all killers are subjected to a PTB on PC, so there is plenty of ways to see how the killer is played, what the killer does & see what his strengths and weaknesses are, additionally, you can at least (eventually) get their perks through the shrine.
Arma 3 is an example that lets you test DLCs. Not everyone plays DBD on PC to have access to the PTB. I have no idea what you mean by "plenty of ways", other than shards which are going down the drain here pretty soon. At least refund my bloodpoints.

@GraveHunter said:
Is it official that they are removing the splinters? If so, I really want all those 7k points back I needed to spend before. The Freddy splinter doesn't even work at this point, so I can't use it anyway...
There should be a link at the top to the chapter update notes. If you scroll down to the bottom of the patch notes, you'll see that they're removing splinters. Not sure if they are talking about only the freddy splinters, or all splinters.
-
Ouch. That's funny because I wrote this post with the mindset that somebody was gonna say "Dude, just buy the DLC, cheap bastard" ect.
-
I like the idea that we have to buy our items from the bloodweb. I think we should keep that intact. Instead, maybe we can increase the reward for the second sacrifice to be the biggest bloodpoint reward. The first sacrifice would be half of the reward for the second one, the third one would be half of the second one as well, and the forth would be a forth of the reward from the second one.

What!? You're telling me that it's overpowered for me to demo a killer before I decide to spend my money on it? What does me deciding if a killer is fun enough to play have to do with my decision to spend money on it and it being "overpowered"?
Me trying out a killer for the first time without their perks is not anymore overpowered then someone who owns thats character while being able to equip perks. It's the complete opposite actually.

That's extremely overpowered in favor for the survivor. It's unfair enough to have such a quick sabo speed along with no mither and unbreakable to hard counter slugging.

If they are sabboing, they are not doing gens. It really as simple as that.
If the dev's are nerfing sabbo that is laughable. The SWF could be bullying the killer a million other ways than wasting their time sabboing.
That first statement was true before the sabo buff. Now it's the completw opposite. Survivors can now disable hooks "On the Fly" when they need to, allowing them to do gens and save a teamate within 30 seconds of each other.
Yo, as a heads up bro, there's a little cog in the top right in the box of your reply, you can use that to edit your replies.

Maybe a map in a map. So 1v6? Or whatever. So let's say you start in one map and once the exit gates are open you don't escape it's just another map. And need to repeat the cycle. The endgame collapse will play in the old map and what not and yes it would make the game a bit longer but I guess balance the rewards at the end to make it worth it. Also idk just a 3 second idea. Could be easily done without too much work as you just need to stable two maps together. Easier then making an entire new mode with a bunch of new assets and what not.
I was thinking the exact same thing. It would give the game a more 'progression' feeling to it, kinda like some of the custom infected game modes in halo games where the survivors are progressing into new areas. They could add a narrative aspect to it like in Left For Dead, where every stage is a step closer to their final destination.

I think he has a point. There's nothing worse for the killer, than him playing sloppy and being punished for it. Can you imagine what would happen to a survivor that dead hards at the wrong time? Obviously, that poor injured soul isn't going down in the next 3 seconds. Or if they get mind gamed at a loop and bump into the killer? There's no way he would be injured or downed. Or if survivors just ran around the map all game, it's not like the killer would be able to track them or anything. So seriously, because survivors suffer absolutely no consequences at all for playing sloppy, neither should killers.
This is sarcasm right?
-
I know a lot of people are commenting that he is balanced and the post author should just get good, but there might be some truth to this post.
The first time I got to play freddy was yesterday. I had one of those shards that let you play as a license killer. First thing that happens in the match is someone DC's. Next thing, another survivor comes right up to me and lets me down her and sacrifice her right away, no struggling when she's on my back. The last two try to play it out, but there's no hope for them at that point.
They were rank 7 - 5's , half red half purple. They must of assumed I was a high ranked freddy main and given up before the match even started.
How often does this happen in high ranks?
Running him with surveillance seems to be OP if you can TP to any gen when it turns yellow. I haven't done my research on him yet.

All your posts have been nothing but attack survivors, and yes you've attacked me as well. Your pathetic for even trying to call me out on that.
"But DBD and and chess together are competitive games, where the majority of enjoyment comes from the fight for victory. Nothing else is more important."
So you would be the garbage player no one wants to play against, chess or dbd. Winning is the goal, the challenge is the enjoyment. The important point of ANY game is the enjoyment.
"I would refer you to the chess analogy again"
Since you like my analogies so much, I'm sure you'll love this one, Football. Your play style is like the Patriots. you'll deflate that ball to secure your victory. Good job! Me, I'll take the Giants. Sure they don't always win, but they kicked the Patriots ass.
"I'm not the one that's complaining about camping and tunneling."
ROFL! This wouldn't be a discussion if you were. You are here complaining about SURVIVORS!
"YET SALTY CHILDREN OF THE CORN MAP DBD will SEND you a message on your console LOL.

And with that, good bye. Like the Patriots against the Giants in the Superbowl, you've proven to not be a challenge.
"All your posts have been nothing but attack survivors, and yes you've attacked me as well. Your pathetic for even trying to call me out on that."
Yeah, because it pisses me off to see little entitled survivors like you run around the forums and push your bs around. Your last reply didn't address any of my previous points with any actual arguement at all besides ad-homenen attacks. Thats what I was trying to get at. At most, a misinterpretation of an analogy.
"So you would be the garbage player no one wants to play against, chess or dbd. Winning is the goal, the challenge is the enjoyment. The important point of ANY game is the enjoyment."
Umm, hello? DBD is a competitive multiplayer game. You're playing against other players. You should be able to use any strategy to your advantage to win. Camping and tunneling are S.T.R.A.D.E.G.I.E.S to acomplish this in DBD. You shouldn't be playing multiplayer games like DBD if you have a problem with not having enjoyment from competition. Single player or Co-op games seem more like your alley.
Edit: It's not healthy to speak for others and to make assuptions about people.
"Since you like my analogies so much, I'm sure you'll love this one, Football. Your play style is like the Patriots. you'll deflate that ball to secure your victory. Good job! Me, I'll take the Giants. Sure they don't always win, but they kicked the Patriots ass."
Oh look, you've managed to misuse another analogy. Deflating a football in the NFL isn't part of the rules, and wasn't supposed to happen. That was cheating if anything else, and thats why Tom Brady got punished for it. You can't compare Tunneling and Camping to cheating. Don't believe me? BHVR themselves said they were fair strategies.

We can see what kind of connection we have in the lobby, so the way I see it, If you intentionally get into a match where the connection is bad, then you should tough it out anyways. You could've easily left the lobby and queued up again in hopes for a better connection, and you have little excuse for not doing so. "Reap what you sew" is basically what I'm getting at when it comes to lag.
The only exception to this is in the event where you have a strong connection, and it becomes obvious (due to sudden lag spikes at key moments that put you at a disadvantage) that the host is lag switching, in which case it falls under #2 of the acceptable reasons to DC.
Doesn't DBD run on dedicated servers now?

Even if they did, they didn't include any BP offerings or the perk 'We are going to Live Forever' for survivors. Comparing killer and survivor Bloodpoint gain by using the killers bloodpoint gain when they get a perfect 32k Bloodpoints, with 4 stacks of BBQ and a survivor Pudding or Bloody Streamer offering as an average, and then survivors Bloodpoint gain when not using any way to increase Bloodpoint gain, is not a fair comparison at all. Even more so when you consider that the average Bloodpoint gain of survivors definitely isn't 8-10k. At least for me it's 15-20k, and for killer it's probably around 25-30K. 32K Bloodpoints is the max, not the average.
Honestly saying killers average Bloodpoint gain is 100K and survivors average Bloopoint gain is 8-10K is just a hilarious misinformation.
That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the info.

@Colton147 said:
Killers receive more bloodpoints than survivors.
Killers tend to average around 100K a game, while survivors average around 6K-10K - killers can get through multiple bloodwebs (depending on level), while survivors can usually only get a single item. It makes the grind on the survivor side difficult and tedious, especially for newer players.
I don't know where you're getting those figures from, but all I know is I earn at most 30k for playing doc because I run distressing on him, about 20k for any other killer. Playing as survivor, I'll get a bit less than 20k everytime.
Killers do get more bloodpoints, but I haven't seen THAT massive of a difference.

Well, there's no argument here anymore. All I see are personal attacks at this point, instead of any attempt to diswade my previous points. It almost hard to believe that you play killer at all, considering how idiotic your reply is. But what do I know.
"Unlike you, I prefer a challenge"
I'm glad that you like to play the game your own way. Don't impose on me though. I have my own playstyle.
"You just look for the easy way out."
If 'face-camping" and tunneling were the easy way out, then everybody would be using those strats. The killers who face-camp are the ones who are struggling the most. I guarantee you if you ask anyone who plays killer and face-camps if they enjoyed their experience, that they would say they didn't. Most of the time of why it occurs in the first place is because the survivors are on the verge of escaping and the killer needs to secure at least one or two kills before the match ends. So no, it's not "looking for the easy way out."
"You give killers a bad rap, and you are doing nothing more than destroying the game."
Too bad you don't have anyway to prove it. Maybe some hard evidence that correlates 'face-camping' or 'tunneling' to the lack of participation in the game. Otherwise, this is just childish statement made by a naive individual.
"Of course you dont care about your opponent, their points, or how you treat them."
I would refer you to the chess analogy again, for when I'm playing a game of chess, I'm not going to just let them steamrole me. If the game has been too easily in my favor, I may give the other side a break. But DBD and and chess together are competitive games, where the majority of enjoyment comes from the fight for victory. Nothing else is more important. That's my personal opinion, and others will have their own. I only grind for bloodpoints and let the survivors win at times so I can make myself a stronger killer player in the end.
"So why should they treat you any different?"
I'm not the one that's complaining about camping and tunneling. That's on you.

Well, I pretty much saw this coming to be honest. Guess I have to tell you the same thing I've told every other entitled survivor.
If.. You're.. Being.. Camped.. Then Stop Being Selfish and only considering your experience as a survivor. The killer is making the decision to waste time watching you. Have everyone else finish the gens so they can escape, even if it means taking one for the team. In fact, why don't you run kindred so you help your team out while you're sitting on the hook? Too selfish to care about your teammates? Maybe you shouldn't play survivor then, the killer role fits you better.
"You are the One acting entitled when you claim you can play how you want."
It's a video game. I don't need to respect your entitled survivor rulebook. Plus, there's a lot of other people who agree with me that it's not.
"By stating 'guarding a hooked survivor against rescue' sound[s] like you have a problem with altruism (BTW, the pictures were unnecessary) and want to force point loss on all 4 survivors by being toxic."
If you played killer once ever, you would realize that the killer's goal is to kill and eliminate as many survivors as possible. If that means doing it one at a time because the survivors are stupid enough to wait around a hook, then so be it. If the killer knows that a hook rescue is inbound, he should stop that rescue. Why? Because it effects his goal of sacrificing the survivors.
Do I care about your points? No. Go complain to BHVR if you don't like the bloodpoint system. My ultimate goal is to win games. Never did I say that I camp to stop the survivors from earning bloodpoints.

Lol there is not a lot whom do, and take away from them? how about all the nerfs and buffs and all changes that are taken away? that is what this game is and what happens
Yes, the game is in a very fragile state right now. Actually, it's always been in that state because it's a asymmetric multiplayer game. But it's not wise to gut the game completely and change the core gameplay mechanics. If you believe all of the nerfs and reworks are bad, just imagine how much changing the core gameplay would have an effect on the game.

3 years on, we need to see more, second objectives, slower gen times, even 2 killers ans 6 survivors, dark maps, something else, i mean to tempt new players and keep old ones here, something needs to be dne, BHVR you need to widen your game, make and add changes
All of these changes would massively change the game. I wouldn't implement any of these in DBD, I would make a sequel to DBD and include these changes instead. Some people like the core gameplay that's in DBD right now, so I wouldn't take that away from them.

You’re comparing 3 second perks that have massive cool downs to a killer main power? I just want to make sure I’m understanding because the stupidity on this forum is outta this world.
Fun idea, stop camping hooks and tunneling off hook and ds won’t be an issue for you ;)
I wasn't actually protesting against those perks. In actuality, I was being a little exaggerative by pretending to be entitled in a mocking sense of this post. I mentioned those perks because those are the ones that get complained about the most. Apologies for the misunderstanding, so let me clarify a bit.
Those perks suck to go against. But they're not game breaking. Doc's main ability may suck to play against. But it isn't game breaking. If it was, everyone would be playing doc. Do I think either need a nerf? No.

I've had many games where everyone was pretty cool but it is the internet so you will see extremely toxic people and it's usually SWF teams that get butthurt because you didn't play how they wanted so they could all bully, bait, and escape....lol. I don't tunnel and usually get 2 or 3 kills and give last hatch if they weren't being toxic. You just have to learn to ignore the negativity or stop playing online games because it's pretty much the same everywhere in my experience. I just talk crap right back when people are toxic or I give constructive criticism and leave.
That's the best thing you can do. Either that or be the better man/woman and move on.

That is not my definition at all. In a game of chess, if I can take your queen I will and set it to the side. What would be scummy is taking your queen and throwing it across the room and telling you to suck it. In DBD, that is what you are doing. You are choosing to disrespect your opponent and saying they can't disrespect you. THAT is hypocritical.
You should look up the definition of entitled. You obviously dont know it.
1. Having a killer camp you at the hook and throwing the queen across the room are not the same. Camping a hook or tunneling a survivor and putting a queen to the side are the same. The only exception to this is if the killer is camping/tunneling you specifically to target you.
2. Throwing a queen across the room and telling your opponent to suck it is equivalent to a survivor teabagging you at the exit gate or survivors being toxic in the end game chat.
3. I know what entitled means, it usually has to do with people who complain about not having fun in a game because the opposing team didn't play to their advantage. Killers who complain that "survivors who use DS or BT ruin the game" are entitled. Survivors who complain that the killer camped them or tunneled them are entitled (Spoiler Alert, that kinda sounds like you).
You're bias against killers has you putting simple decisions like guarding a hooked survivor against rescues and tunneling survivors alongside insulting people's livelyhood in the same boat. You see the problem here?

You guys choose to use tactics that are just pure scummy, dirty, and kill the fun of the game for everyone else. You use the excuse "legit tactics" then come here and complain about being treated like garbage in chat.... Wow, hello pot, meet kettle. You treated your opponent with utter contempt and disrespect, and expect to be thanked? You guys are the true definition of entitled.
It's a competitive game. Why would you, by your definition of 'respect', respect your opponent? You wouldn't let your opponent win in a game of chess by 'respecting' their queen. Killer should be allowed to use any tatic he wishes to win the game.
"You guys choose to use tactics that are just pure scummy, dirty, and kill the fun of the game for everyone else."
That's the kind of thing an entitled survivor would say.
"You guys are the true definition of entitled."
Hypocrisy at it's finest.

Can't stand the shock therapy /strike ability combo. Just allows the doctor the ability to Disrupt and end chases quicker and move on to disrupting and starting new chases sooner.
Ability to stop you from vaulting or pallet dropping is too unbalanced.
And so is Dead Hard, Borrowed Time, and Decisive Strike. Lets get rid of those too.
Try Calm Spirit and drop pallets early instead of waiting at them; you wouldn't have to complain on the forums then.

If this game just dies. Let all this nerd rage leave your system. It's clear the majority aren't mature enough or care enough to just be nice or do different things. This game is worse than when I tried CS:GO after playing 1.6>CS:Source for years. Communities make and break a game. Even if this game sucks but the community was great? It would be tolerable. But when their game isn't in a great position and the community is even worse? You're literally just killing the game.
A house divided cannot stand, and we have more division than people coming together. We have more hate and saltiness than empathy and love. Many people play games as an outlet for their pain and to just try and escape and forget about it if only for a few moments. But what happens when the game you enjoy now becomes an addition and maybe even a catalyst?
If you want the game to survive, I'd advise you to find ways to ban toxic players. (Maybe Killers get speed buffs vs Survivors who are teabagging and if they teabag at the gates they depip. Make the punishment harsh.) And to find out what the biggest problems of the game are and throw all of your resources into that and not other add-ons or cosmetics or storyline. None of that will matter if the player base is leaving.
I play on the PS4. I don't nerd rage, I value my peace and do what I can to stay at peace. I don't play much survivor but when I do, I tell people up front I suck at skill checks and they should go to a different gen if they see me on one. Haha. I've been face camped, tunneled etc. I'm ok with it. It can be hard to win with 4* survivors, and if I know one person has one hook left, one more hit vs someone who's had 1 hook and healthy? I'll tunnel that last survivor to increase my chances of winning. (3 survivors left.) It's like an RPG game. You have all four of your characters on your side focus on one so that you can down the enemies quicker. Rather than you using all four to 1on1.
Sorry for being all over. I liked the game but also uninstalled (still watch online and see where the game is in forums) because it's the community that's hard to handle. I've got enough mental health issues, I don't need other players telling me to kill myself and to go buy razors and make friends with them. No one needs that rage/hatred/toxicity in their life.
I see your concern for Toxicity in the community; people get pissed all the time at me all the time when I play killer, but we shouldn't police people for taunting ingame, that just makes the situation worse. I guarantee you I would stop playing the game if BHVR had to come in and started acting like a baby sitter for the playerbase, that's just bad all around.
To those people who are promoting suicide in your dm's, those people should be banned from the playstation network. That's a serious issue that needs to be handled by Sony. I don't get messages like that in my dm's when I play DBD thank god.
Finally, I wanted to address your point about video games being on outlet to let go. That is true for some games, Minecraft, Satisfactory, ect. because these games are low intensity co-op experiences. Not all games are designed to do this though, Rocket League, DBD, Battlefield, ect. are all competitive pvp games, which are designed to give you auxiliarating experiences, and can be boring otherwise.
Whenever I play competitive games, I always try to keep a calm spirit, because I know they were trying to beat me just as much as I was trying to beat them. If I win, the victory is enough for me, I don't need to taunt or make fun of the other team for losing. If I lose, I say GG at most, especially if it was a close game. Though when it comes to DBD and there's 3 survivors alive waiting at the gates, I wont walk over there just to let them teabag me. I just let the timer run out and let them escape.

It's strange that you're noticing a difference. It might just have to do with the new range of the attack, or the servers if you're on PS4 or something, because the devs have confirmed that they didn't change that delay at all. There has always been a 1-second delay between charging Shock Therapy and having it land. It was only increased to 1.25 seconds on the PTB by mistake, which was rectified when the patch when live.
Interesting. It could be that I haven't been running my addons that I used before. I'll have to work on it.

What are you talking about? They reduced the cooldown by 1.5 seconds from the PTB, and it's now shorter than it was before the rework.
I'm talking about the delay between using shock therapy and having it land on survivors, not the delay between a shock therapy and another action.
Before the mid chapter update, I was landing shock therapys just before a survivor hits a vault, pallet, ect. Now that the rework has come out, chases have been a lot harder. Everytime I cast a shock therapy, it's either too late and they vault over anyways, or it's too soon and that stun delay passes before they get their vault or pallet drop in. That 1 sec delay between casting a shock therapy and having it land is a bug supposedly that's been making me struggle in chases.

With gen times as killer you have roughly 6 minutes to get 12 hooks to end the match.
Does this perk give me time ? No.
Does this perk help me kill ? No.
Sorry ur not suppose to 4k. I forgot this update... you got 1minute to get each of 6 hooks while ignoring two players completely and just tunneling two does this perk help that?
No, it doesn't. It's another low - mid tier perk suggestion really. And you would see a totem before it's terror radius effect would kick in, by my version of it at least. You don't want killer perks synergizing with survivor perks.
I have another idea, forget the terror radius. What about doubling the time it takes to cleanse a totem, and afflicting survivors with oblivious status effect as long as they're cleansing it? Seems a little bit stronger and would be great on stealth killers.
-
@emptyCups said:
So hard question to answer
How much does the terror radius matter?
Does it actually scare survivors or alert them to move ?
On killers that hide the terror radius like wraith mike or pig would this matter ?
On loud chainsaw killers or hag or trapper would any of this fit the killer power or change any behavior?
Can the new doctor shock the entire map since his blast is his terror radius? Or render the add ons/ perks that simulate terror pointless
How annoying would it be to listen to the entire map thump instead of all the new chase music ? Would the constant thump break emerson of all the spooky background noise ?
32m across all totem spawns that's X6 including yourself
So 192 meters is thumping at all times
Yikes.
Yeah, I think 32 away from a hex totem is way to big of a number. I think it should be, like 2 meters away, or basically right in front of the thing. It would have the same intensity as being 32 meters from the killer.
Diversion wouldn't be too great, because you could achive the same effect by just cleasing the totem. And Borrowed Time wouldn't work unless there's a totem right next to the hook, which I believe does not occur in DBD naturally. Stake out, on the other hand, would be a good counter for this perk, since you can trade off between cleaning totems and doing gens.
It wouldn't scare survivors to move, it would just keep them on edge, making it harder to tell if the killer is closing in on the survivor.
Doc can use it to shock anyone who's in the middle of doing a cleanse with his static blast. It wouldn't affect hillbilly's or leatherface's ability at all.
This would be a bad perk to bring for wraith, as people don't depend on terror radius too much, but rather look for a distorted figure to tell if they're in danger. Pig and Myers wouldn't be affected too much I don't think.
All in All, this sounds like a cool idea. I would probably put an additional of clause of 'increase the amount of time it takes to cleanse a totem'.

Sorry to disappoint I'm actually serious. I loose ALOT of killer matches and honestly would rather some way to speed up the collapse or kill the guys just waiting by the gates because it wastes tons of my personal time.
I mean, if we could close the gate ourselves, why not let us break generators that were already completed? It seems too OP at that point, but I agree with the fact that survivors like to camp out too long by the exit gates. Most of the time, it's to increase the amount of bloodpoints they earn from the match.
Edit: Ohh, and why do you open the exit gates? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Stake out, diversion, and borrowed time, trigger in terror radius
so all my skillchecks are fantastic and I can constantly throw rocks to annoy the killer and do a true save no matter how far the killer is or if a hag teleports back it's still borrowed time.
And I can now always find totems without needing small game to quickly pop out lit hexes or kill noed.
Yeah I'd use this perk as survivor pretty often
Wow, I didn't realize the synergy it had with other survivor perks. This puts the concept in a bad light, because it doesn't make sense to give survivors a perk that puts a terror radius on totems. And no killer would run it because of the fact that survivors could take advantage of it.
I mean, we do have dark devotion though, which is a similar concept.

I'd take this as a survivor perk tbh
That's a weird outlook. It seems the perk would put you at a disadvantage no?

@emptyCups said:
Give me a solid reason to leave the hook and I will
Give me a solid chance to kill someone else and I wont go after the injured limper
Dont get gens done fast and I'll take my time hooking each of you...
Before you nerf or ban think about this. Killers have 12 objectives to play your way solo. 12 hooks.
Survivors have 5 gens and a gate among 4 of them. 1.5 objectives each.
If one gen is done before a killer hooks like most games without old ruin
Survivors are 1/6 while killers are 0/12
... later
If survivors do 3 gens while killer has 2 hooks
Survivors are 3/6 to win while killer is 2/12 to loose.
Killers who camp or tunnel know that if they cant win a chase and hook someone in less then a minute it's more beneficial to use the same minute camping you because its effectively doing a hook.
And killing someone reducing hooks from 12 to 9 limits objectives AND reducing time survivors can contribute to objectives making 1.5 objectives to 4 survivors. 2 objectives each to 3 survivors
You cant nerf or ban players... if you wanna keep playing someone needs to be a killer
Either give them a reason to leave the hook and juggle or make killer Ai
Amen to this...

Fair, but the question is ... Just how many people will actually run said perk?
Even with the Left Behind perk's ability to show the hatch, you almost never see anyone actually run it.
I have no issues with this being a perk. But an outright ability for simply being the killer, nah.
I'm imagining that new killer players, or vet players who have a lot of confidence that they only need three decent perks to kill most of the survivors would run it. It definitely would not be meta, mostly just an extra perk that some take along for the lack of a better perk.

So i'm fairly experienced
Currently playing Surv is extremely boring and easy. This game clearly favours surv at the moment.
I mean the recent update blog just proves it, how the DEVS just nerfed ruin because you baby surv's can't do skill checks.
Not being funny if you can't find a locker near a GEN when there's normally tons and actually hide in it when you can see the killer pick up the downed SURV WITH NO PERKS. (unless they run knockout) then seriously go watch a tutorial on how to play or something.
Can we stop nerfing killers and actually make them stand a chance against all of the broken surv perks.
Welcome to the forums. I'm assuming you're new? Or returning at least...
