I remember it was kinda bad some months ago, didn't play at all during this period, just joined a game yesterday and it was even worse! lol it seems like the stronger the killer, the more is the time they take to fix it
-
it's been months, now it's even worse… it feels like they don't care about nurse because she is the strongest killer

SWF is the "power role." Solo queue is where dreams go to die. And yet the vast majority of survivors play alone. What did the vast majority of players do to deserve that lack of agency?
You need 4 survivors just to start a game. What incentive do they have to play when the outcome was basically decided on the killer's 'Killer Select' screen?
To be clear: I'm not against strong killers. I'm just against killers that have very little counterplay, and I'm against killers that don't require any skill expression to unlock their potential.
you don't even need swf for survivor to the be the power role, just 4 good survivors with decent game sense is enough, the problem is that you don't find them often. If you add too many counterplay you kill the killer. But i get your point. sadly this is not a pure pvp game, it's asymmetrical 1 vs 4, so it's fine to have sometimes a killer that requires less skill and has less counterplay considering most of the roster is not that good. if it's overused and people only face this killer, then it becomes a problem. But because of the lack of variety and people complaining. But that should tell you something more about the game.

Not sure we can agree. What is your definition of casual? Is that mindset or play time? I consider myself casual yet I play everyday, but I don't take the game very seriously, hence a casual approach.
Killers that are easy to play should have easy counters too. If you want that chill, low stress experience than you need to lose a good amount of your matches and stay in low MMR. There's no scenario where you easily win all the time and never receive challenges or need to improve. And there shouldn't be killlers that skyrocket you out of your MMR skill level.
Also, why does it sound like killers deserve casual, easy wins but survivors don't? What about those casual survivors? Where's their easy win?
if you play everyday you're defintely not a casual and your point is even more understandable.. mmr was a mistake to begin with, but since human nature is competitive this is what we got. we have too many killers that are not good enough, and maybe 5 of them good that require effort to play with.. i used to main og nurse on console on 20 fps with a controller back in 2018, so i know something about that. This game should not be cod or lol, but they moved forward that direction in the past years. For me casual it means you don't play every day, every week or every month constantly. i didn't say killers deserve casuale wins.. i just said survivors have it and always had it much more easier considering the roster and the nature of this game. Maybe krasue do deserve some changes but everytime i see ideas, i see only people trying to literally ''gut her'' so to me it's so obvious the reason behind that

This is just a bizarre thought process to me. There are plenty of simple killers that are easier to play. Wraith, Huntress, Clown, and Legion are all pretty straightforward for new players, and they also teach new players the fundamentals of Killer in general.
"Easier to play as" doesn't mean the same thing as "easier to 4k as." When I'm playing against someone, I have fun on both sides even if I get outplayed because I can appreciate their skill (and learn from my mistakes) despite knowing I just got my butt kicked. If someone doesn't want to invest time into learning how to play a PvP game, that's fine, but their results should reflect that.
I thought this was obvious, but I guess I have to say it: People don't deserve easy wins against other real people just because a character is wildly overtuned.
Having a killer that is easy to kill everyone with is actually harmful to a new player's overall experience because their MMR will artificially skyrocket, causing them to get extremely skilled opponents on other less powerful killers if they dare venture out into the world of killers who don't hold your hand while you play. And I haven't even talked about the survivors' experiences of feeling like nothing they do will change the outcome of the game as soon as the match starts.
So i'll rephrase better. Easier to use for the purpose of playing killer which is to win the game or at least have control during chases. The killer you mentioned get stomped even by average survivors if the killer is not that good. They may be fine at low mmr but that's it. Again my point of view will be downvoted by many, but i'm trying to make in perspective for casual players. The problem is that the evolution of the game led to this. Survivors has always been the power role, so we are not used to have an ''easy killer'' which is strong.

@cogsturning is 100% right here.
Krasue is very unhealthy in her current form, and way too easy to abuse. Now where do I even begin with her?- She has a very spammable ranged attack - While yes, it does not directly do any damage, it is not punishing to miss at all.
- She can instantly use M1 right after using M2. Zero cooldown on the follow-up basic attack.
- She can attack mid-transformation to her head form - very abusable free hits.
- Infection does not reset on hook, so she can tunnel people off of the hook, with ease.
- Mushrooms are few and far between, so survivors cannot reliably cleanse the infection
- Mushrooms take 30! seconds to cleanse one stage of Leeched, and does get interrupted by a single interaction that applies Leeched.
- Headlong Flight has too many charges, making it always available to use.
- Head form still has HugTech™ built in, making it very hard to play against on loops
- Head form has a very spammable dash attack. Not punishing if you whiff it.
These are the most unhealthy parts about her entire kit.
Another problem that it seems obvious to me they will either break her, or the change won't affect her at all (example: Ghoul).. my point is that you can't balance this game. If you try to make her ''healty'', it's most likely that survivor can abuse her..
Personally the only change i would make to her is once survivor get hooked you get rid of infection. and that's it -

"Don't complain, just suffer or leave." Quite the take. They won't know what the issues are unless they're discussed. A live service game needs constant adjustments.
You said easier to play but what you mean is easier to win. If you want easy to play then play as Wraith. Doesn't mean you'll 4k stomp every time, but he's easy to use. But there shouldn't be any character you can buy and just smash opponenets with ease. Your argument that you should be able to do so because you don't want to invest time in the game is peak entitlement. If you don't want to learn then you can lose, and then take your own advice and don't complain.
i mean we can agree that casual people don't want to invest more time than they should because at the end of the day it's a game, sometimes even if they want, the simply can't. So they either get good , get stomped, or quit the game. And we all know the skill cap is much higher as killer.. Fun is subjective for sure, for somebody it can be try different builds, not taking the game too seriously , to improve especially at the beginning, but once you get past that, what's the point? is to win, or at least have good chases even if you ''lose''..i know it's perspective, but for majority of people, that's what it is, especially the one swith a lot of hours, they build a strong ego over the game and they don't accept defeat.

Almost forgot:
For nurse it honestly doesn't matter much on what dpi you play. A lower dpi is typically good for killers that need precission (so huntress or deathslinger as example), a higher one is typically good for killers that restrict your turnrate and have to turn fast like blight or dracula wolf.
Nurse doesn't have a thight window in which she has to turn or something, you simply need to know where you land and where the survivor is in that situation, as long as you turn quick enough to hit him you can also play with 100 dpi or 8000 xD
So I'd recomment to try different dpi's and see how good you can play with that, as soon as you find a dpi you like you should let it stay like this for a while. You'll get used to that then and much better at controlling it, after that you can choose a second one if you need a get better with that one - this ensures that you have a dpi that you're used to.
(Everything I say here is of course only the way I did that/do this, so choose if you want to take it for granted)
thank you for your answer.. i currently have an old mouse(can't choose and don't know my dpi) maybe i will buy one better, i play on ps5 using mouse and keyboard since they recently added it.. i noticed that with huntress 70% sens in game may be too much.. with nurse day by day i'm not feeling any different playing on 70%.. so dpi, is like the dead zone for controller stick pretty much right? i'd like to try low sens and high dpi on nurse, but for now i have a standard mouse where i can't do anything other than playing around with mouse sens in gambe

Does playing Nurse ever stop being more stressful than other killers?
I don't mean that in the way that she's difficult, or has a high skill ceiling. That's evident. I (probably) won't be missing blinks or lunging into walls forever. And obviously she can do things that other killers can only dream of, which is pretty liberating or terrifying depending on which side you're on.
Still... the thing I found most striking about playing her was the constant resource management. She's incredibly slow and her attack power and movement power are all wrapped up into one, so you're never not using her power - and it's a pretty precise power. I'd find myself freaking out as I tried to make it to a gen or exit gate in time, and if I pulled out all the stops to reach it, I'd be in fatigue and out of blinks while the survivors booked it. On any other killer, I'm just holding W and adjusting course as necessary, and even if I don't make it in time, I'm almost guaranteed a free hit. Losing LOS was also incredibly punishing on her - playing on corn maps and Lery's made me want to bash my head against a proverbial wall.
It felt like I never had a moment to relax even in the games that I won, because even trying to cross the map was a chore - and when I lost a survivor, it was stressful because every second I'm not blinking is a second they're building distance because they're base faster than me. Blinks don't always take you exactly where you expect to, blinking past thick objects is especially finicky, blinking into a pallet stuns you twice. She was frustrating, but not just because of the failed blinks - the same mistakes I'd make on other killers felt drastically more punishing on her. And on the missed blinks, there was always that aaaaaaaa feeling of 'I know what I have to do right now, but the interface isn't letting me do anything!" So yeah... I'm pretty bad at Nurse, but does that aspect of having to work to do everything actually change when you get better with her?
one answer. If dead hard didn't exist nurse would not be that stressful for me even with all her bugs
-
@onemind i played ton of blight both before and after the rework on console, but still there many, too many maps, where there are too many objects where you slide.. that means you lose entire chases..

Completely true!
The amount of people who think he needs Rat Liver basekit is ridiculous. It should be much higher rarity than it is and potentially be attached to another add-on effect eg increased Shred range. But i'm so glad to see that they didn't cave into 'popular/sheeped demands'.
he doesn't need it for the majority of the games true.. the thing is when you find those games against good survivors, those are the game when it makes a difference.. i don't care abour shredding baby or average survivors, we should have a killer that is viable against people who know how to play.. rat liver decrease his skillcap for sure, but it's a quality of life wich makes him much more smoother to play and it doesn't break him at all.. it's annoying that killer always need to have this kinda of limitation..

His shred is already perfectly viable. Without the add-on it just requires a little better timing instead of being trivial. But it's already great. I always use portal add-ons.
stil there are many loops that without rat liver, make him not as good.. no matter about the timing and everything, the surivor will run you there at least 2-3 times

yes pc will always have the advantage, that's for sure, but when they did these things to oni and nurse they went up a tier on console... there's not that much of a difference anymore

i just want blight to have a 90-180 degree flick also on console.. then it should be limited around that also on pc..

I'm not sure if this is a 'bug' per se, but when you are in the dream world with Freddy as the killer his lullaby sound is SOOOOOOOOOOO quiet. I have all of my game volumes at the highest my ears can take with every other sound perfectly loud and identifiable.
Has Freddy inadvertently been turned into a stealth killer perhaps? Because that on top of his insane ability for map pressure would make him a god tier killer at this point!
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Step 1: Be in a match with Freddy as killer
Step 2: Be within a few metres of Freddy and hear the lullaby being at a significant distance.
yes i think it's a bug there's no way

In their eyes, 87 degrees of FOV is fine, and if you want it to increase to acceptable standards for 2020 you have to sacrifice 25% of your perk loadout for it (to some killers that's literally 25% of their overall effectiveness). If it was any higher than 87 you would literally be at such a huge advantage that you would completely disrupt the game balance. God bless BHVR.
exactly.. i know it's a feature so survivor can hide (fair enough) and juke you(this is bullshit) by crouching or window teching..most games can go up to 120 degree field of view, here the best we get here is 102 with shadowborn level 3.. and this bug were by no means shadowbornb lev 3 because i still had problem with distances and fov when playing/lunging post blink with nurse, it was just acceptable..then it's normale that killer mains complain everytime by saying ''oh you always favor survivors..'' because a so little qol change it's seen as an issue..and it will be immediately fixed, while we have killer bugs since ever..it's laugable and make me honeslty want to quit the game.. i took a month and half break, since i play on console, they fixed a little bit the fps in the last patch, i saw an increased fov, i told to myself '' maybe i did the right thing coming back''... then i remember hey it's dbd..
-
@McLean just confirmed me on twtich , that it's an issue, so guys sorry for breaking your expectations, but it will be fixed.. i only hope devs will realize how bad is the standard fov is, and 10 degree more doesn't ''BrEaK the game'', and all the survivors '' crouching-window JuKe'',.. a good change for console players just went down in a matter of days. At this point i have no reason to play nurse on console anymore, since the bad fps, the low fov, and perk slot i have to sacrifice for shadwoborn.. gg

...wait what. I need to play again tomorrow night and see the difference myself. Maybe I can finally stop moaning my head off on the forums about FOV now. Do you have pictures of other killers or is this a Nurse-specific thing? Or if anyone can try and recreate similar images of before the patch and after (would be some work but screenshotting someone's stream at a random point in the map on the previous patch then going to a custom game and finding that same area on this patch with the same killer would be the best way to compare)
well i can say for sure the fov increased also for some other killers, like ph, myers, hag(i didn't see everybody).. the photos i posted is clearly, the difference is minimal between old shadowborn and new base fov(3 degree)

Wow... it looks true then. If it was really intentional that was the biggest killer buff since ever.
meh honestly it really helps with nurse or huntress for people who were shadowborn addicted... it doesn't really change much for other killers.. honestly if they fix this i might just quit the game lol
-
@xenotimebong honestly, they did make some changes in the past without writing them in the patch notes, and also many people didn't notice the difference..we're asking a fov slider from a long time, but honestly this is just perfect. I don't see how this should be fixed, it doesn't give any particular advantage, just better qol improvement

I haven't played today but if they did actually boost the killer's FOV that is absolutely fantastic news, seriously the best change for killers in a long time, assuming it's true of course.

@jdcabral look at the photos, they gave us shadowborn 2 basekit
-
shadowborn before
now without shadowborn
now with shadowborn
-
@mandytalk the difference is noticable, but at the same time it's nowhere near shadowborn 3 basekit... it's finally a good fov
-
i mean it's not like they gave use a 110 degree field of view GaMeBrEaKiNg, they just gave us a little qol change, distracted people won't notice, but for me as shadowborn addicted it was a really welcomed change
-
@finitethrills @jdcabral guys i'm one hundred percent sure... i tried shadowborn, and it looked like i had 1080x1080 res, i could see nurse hand while holding the weapon(couldn't do that before even with shadowborn).. they did the same thing when they removed nurse turn rate modification for console, they didn't write anything in the patch notes, because it's not a considerable change, it's just a qol improvement, but it's still a change.
-
well they did increase the fov, i don't know if they wrote something about in the patch notes, i tried playing nurse without shadowborn today, and it felt good.. but the problem is still there
-
@Zozzy i used to main nurse, with nurse you can bait dead hard with first blink, then hit them with the second one... there is nothing you can do with blight
-
@OllieHellhunter yep but is seems much worse for him
-
@ALostPuppy still i don't know because of spine chill... this perk completely counters his stealth and even if you wanna play the '' hit and run'' strategy it doesn't work.. again against, 4 good survivors, comm he will still be not good enough... even with double recharge he is pretty average..his instadown is not reliable at all, he has not map control, no snowball, no antiloop.. he lacks too many things to be a good killer
-
nah dude it's the reality of the game, i played both sides for 2k hours, i don't need anybody to tell me things, i know perfectly how this game works.. have a look at ''competitive'' dbd, most of the time is a nurse getting genrushed and outperked by 4 good survivors... mostly you are the one who is biased telling me that i'm biasedwhile i'm telling a fact ironically..lol

Thank god someone else here has some sense and can actually play Deathslinger well. I think the one part I disagree with on your list is GhostFace being lower than Myers. Imo gf is just a better Myers and there's almost no reason to play Myers right now, he's kinda useless as a stealth killer in comparison. He definitely needs some buffs, he's too outdated and lagging behind most other killers, same with Wraith. Hope my two stealthy bois get some changes soon.
i think myers is better than ghostface just because of janky stealth mechanic and because spine chill exist..myers also doesn't have to target a single survivor, his tier 3 is more consistent since you have a longer lunge and faster vault speed and he also got synergy with perks like bamboozle, infectous fright, definitely better snowball potential.. sadly they both suck against good survivors.
-
some killers may have less counterplay than others but no killer is op in this game, what is actually OP is a good swf with comm, unbreakable, soul guard, ds, dh, bt. You will note prove anything since rank doesn't mean skills, and most of red rank survivors are average players.
-
https://i.imgur.com/p5Tpr1Y.png
Played all killers consistently, i think it's pretty accurate, this tierlist is considering killers played at their best, that's why demo is higher than the other, really underrated killer
-
actually his shred in terms of antiloop is probably one of the strongest powers between all 115%-m1 killers... if you are bad with that killer is not that killer's fault but yours.
-
just played another game on lery against pc survivors... false saw, 10 frames, had to lower down my sens, but it doesn't matter i had to quit.. can we disable indoor map? at least even if the frames are bad killer is playable on other maps..
-
@xenofon13 maybe because they just tweaked broken things to not be broken, but there are still things in the game that there are too strong and makes the game feels unfun and unbalanced? and all of those perks you mentioned, if a sweaty team are runing it good luck have a fun and balanced game
