What makes me sad is how little BP we get for how much we do as survivors :(

we are peasants fr ;/ i play rainbow6seige now its a lot more fun than being left to die on a floor for 4 minutes.

  • @felipesegatto1 said:

they really do! i guess it’s because this foruns have too much killer mains who will gaslight anyone who tries to discuss the problems survivors are having with the state of the game

i feel u are correct. that’s how the nerf to the anti camp came about bc “killer didn’t have enough time to do anything” it’s so tiresome and now the anti camp is trash. it’s always the same

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

Not having fun. Each killer feels overpowered. Can't get enough distance from killer being spotted when working a generator to a pallet or windows.

    Seriously, not having fun.

    Going back to regular mode.

it is such an L. i can’t lie. especially after 8 years of the game being out and this is the best they can do… just reeks of laziness.

  • @Zenislev said:

If you don't think it's problematic, then hey, how about we give killers a perk that lets them delete a chase. Let's say, a perk that can be activated every 60 seconds that lets them phase through an obstacle. I mean hey, if it's fine for survivors to invalidate a killer's play with no repercussions and no counter play, then it should be fine for killers to be able to do the same right?

    just play nurse? lmao

  • @Verconissp said:

    You say it's Not Problematic?

Ight.. Lemme know how you're gunna counter that once you get to Endgame and they Ftp + Buckle up in your face to the Door, =D

The Combo IS problematic and it needs to be changed for the Health of the game.

do it looool i’m not a child and am not bothered if people escape or not as i play for fun, if you ftp/buckle up im my face i will give you happy nods as you leave and will still say ggswp after the game. i don’t think it’s problematic. game has got too competitive for people to know how to enjoy it anymore smh oh well

Bots are a really neat replacement for disconnected teammates, but they have some serious issues that can be a detriment to the game:

    1) self-healing in front of teammates

-> Immediately upon being unhooked, a bot will start healing themself, whether they're using a medkit, or self-care. A few days ago, my teammate unhooked a bot, and I was there as well, and the bot immediately started self-caring. We could not get them to stop. The 2 of us would have healed them quite fast, but instead the bot took ages to self-care. They do the same if they are healed from the dying state, they will immediately start healing themself, and refuse any help from us. Please make it a priority for them to wait for a heal, and only self-heal if no-one's around them, as well as stop the self-heal if a teammate approaches them.

    2) Too scared to unhook or work on gens when teror radius pops

-> I've had situations where a bot was working on a gen with me, and as soon as we could hear the terror radius, they started leaving the gen and doing nothing. A lot of those cases the killer was chasing someone else, but the bot was just too scared to work on the gen.

-> More than a month ago I had a match where there were 3 of us left, 1 was bot. I was on hook, the killer was far from hook, chasing the other person. The bot headed to unhook me, but as soon as the heard the terror radius, they stopped. The killer was chasing the other person, as I said. I died on hook, because the bot kept hesitating to help me.

-> A few days ago I had a match where I was hooked in the courtyard of the Midwich map. The killer was chasing another teammate. There was a bot who tried to unhook me. They ran in the hallway until they reached an entrance into the courtyard, but then they ran past it, all the way around to the other entrance, then turned back, and ran back to the first entrance. I would have died had the last teammate not managed to get to me. Bots are way too scared of terror radius. They need to be aware of the strength of the terror radius, as well as the killer being in chase with someone else.

they also take any items and deplete them, i was saving my flashlight beside gate bc killer had franklins and the bot picked it up and tried blinding the killer mid chase :/

The basement is meant to be dangerous, stay away from it.

"Its hard to escape from the basement" that's the whole fricken point of it. That's the killer's space, it's scary and hard to escape from you are not meant to go in there and you do so at your own risk.

When being chased try this... don't run towards the basement.

"The basement is outdated" What does that even mean as an argument, the base concept of DBD hasn't changed no matter how hard people try to turn it into hello kitty island adventure instead of a horror game.

The basement is just as relevant as its always been, go in there and you may not come out, just as it should be.

you can’t just tell people not to loop or run to a certain area of the map, especially when basement spawns in two of the most popular areas (main building and shack) because of the risk of getting hooked in it.

it’s outdated because dbd has changed believe it or not and is being balanced equally for both sides. and basement is not balanced and is heavily sided towards killer and gives them an easy win which requires very little strategy and skill whilst simultaneously having little to no counter in solo q. just because “it’s the killers space” isn’t a valid reasoning as to why it should be there and why it should stay, imo.

there are hooks located around the map for a reason, the killer can use them. rather than clutching with a one way entrance death zone.

even if you don’t get downed near basement, there’s always people running agi/iron grasp/mad grit and make it their mission to hook people in basement so they can camp it and get an easy win, because they know there’s very little survivors can do once they have someone hooked down there.

survivor assets and mechanics get nerfed because people who play killer complain about certain things being broken/op, killer assets also need nerfed because certain things are broken/op. basement being one of them.

  • @pigslittlepet said:

No no and no. Basement hooks are the only hooks that give immunity to saboteur squads. It's a strategic move to place someone in the basement and it shouldn't be removed. Maybe some tweaks to counter campers would be okay but the basement should definitely not be removed.

yeah that’s why i believe it is a hot take, definitely should be tweaked some way or another though

  • @Habil_K said:

Please eliminate 99% heal, 99% exit, and 99%gen.

    Then I will agree.

may i ask why you want 99’ing gates and gens nerfed? as for heals there is a perk to counter this.

  • i would be more inclined to use iron will if it actually silenced my survivor when injured instead of just like 75% quieter.

and if light footed worked when injured i would feel more of a need to buy ellen for her perks bc it feels quite useless atm esp since it deactivates after after a rushed action

  • i hope so considering the survivor vault to cancel stagger tech was nerfed and is no longer viable, cant even drop a pallet whilst mid stagger so would be unfair to leave one as is and nerf the other.

Why does it only expose one survivor? There's three other players, yet it's designed to only expose one player?

it exposes the obsession and reveals their aura so that the killer can go and begin a new chase, once and if they succeed in downing the obsession, a new player becomes the obsession.

  • all you need to do is survive in chase for longer than 20 seconds once the old obsession has been hooked, and that’s if the killer even manages to find you, and then you're safe and the exposed effect runs out. personally i don’t think that is hard. as a survivor main i think this is a healthy perk that reduces the need to tunnel and helps a healthy game flow. if you get hit within 20 seconds of chase i believe you should probably have looped better. no shade.

  • tbf i never really have an issue with it, when i play as killer i just do the same as i would when someone wants to go for a flashlight save and hit the near by survs so they can’t ftp or save, if they do manage to do it i just carry on chase and down them again, if they manage to get away thats fine bc you cant expect to kill all survs all the time, the same way survivors can’t expect to escape all the time. sometimes you have to admit you got outplayed and the opposing team was just better. no harm really, although i know from experience some killers always want to win and will slug 4 survivors out bc they can’t fathom the idea of losing. it’s just something you have to accept sometimes. like i’ve had games go from amazing to dying 1st hook bc of killer perks like noed or devour and i don’t wish for those to be nerfed - i wish ppl would stop asking for perks to be nerfed just bc they got outplayed by them. it’s ruining the fun aspects of the game imo

  • @Lost_Boy said:

I thought something like that might work, but I guess the timing of it is crucial. Can you actually vault during scamper or does it have to be directly before or after?

I also seen people blocking it with the perk that resets pallets.

I'm not entirely sure scamper is the issue I think the bigger problem is just how difficult it is to see both his red stain and footprints on certain loops. Makes it very hard to predict his movements and more often than not survivors will just run straight into you with very basic simple mind games

it seems like her scamper animation happened just before i vaulted, so maybe it’s timing but i heard her knife sound when she began scampering thinking she was swinging, dropped the pallet and at the same time as she scampered under the pallet i happened to vault, im gonna mess around and see if i can do it again but people are begging for a nerf when i think we just need a bit of time to understand their power more. and this is coming from a survivor main.

  • @supersonic853 said:

Yeah it embodies everything a perk should imo. Probably will get nerfed from high mobility. But we will see.

yeah i agree. i hope it doesn’t get nerfed, i don’t really think it needs nerfed at all. ultimate weapon on the other hand… lmaooo

  • @Foempticol said:

I've noticed Distortion doesn't block the aura reveal (bug?). So I think the only counter is Calm Spirit atm

hmm idk im not sure if it’s a bug or intentional, but i don’t think it really needs a counter as it’s only 20 seconds long you’re exposed for and if someone is getting hit 20 seconds into a chase i think it might be deserved. plus if distortion worked against it, it would kind of make the entire perk useless which i, as a survivor main, dont think is fair as it is only 1 person who is exposed and has their location revealed, that and it helps encourage fair gameplay and makes the flow of the match better for everyone, but thats just my opinion

  • very similar to blight, try to fake left when you hear him scamper attacking then go right and vice versa, you can hear him laugh when he charges scamper to give you time to perform a dodge manoeuver. and he’s similar to wesker when he scampers under a pallet

  • Thank you for you opinions and i understand. But I believe it is subjective as some could argue Hope providing 7% haste “without any conditions” is false, as the conditions are that the survivors have to complete 5 gens meaning the 7% haste is a reward. Making it also conditional: if the survivors manage to make it to end game or not. Maybe they should reintroduce the Hope timer and that could resolve a lot of issues as it wouldn’t be completely permanent. Making it on somewhat on par with a Hex?

I also think there are a bunch of perks that could be considered “broken” and that MFT just happens to be one of them.

    Which buffs did killers get?

All the latest major buffs or QoL Changes have been for Survivors.

Removing Hook grabs, HUD, Anti Camp, Anti Tunnel, gen regression nuked to the ground...

What exactly did killers get in return?

0,x buffs to animations and a rework in healing which didnt really effect stuff like syringes or syptic...

skull merchant despite being a rework some could argue is a buff to her chase playstyle, i would. although now she hasn’t got the ability to hold a game hostage. especially with the haste gain from drone-marked survivors

trapper has been buffed and now gets 5% haste after trapping a tile and can push you away and still catch up to you bc of the haste

trickster is about to get a strong OP buff

i know it’s not a buff but xeno is a super strong killer recently added who can fake his power and hit you if you choose to try and dodge or can hit you even if you try to vault away so it’s a win win for him, with his perk that is free information

singulaity, again isn’t a buff but is a super strong killer who can constantly be on your back (i know there’s emps but once the emp is gone and you are slipstreamed again you can’t exactly stop mid chase and pick up another emp, thus inevitabily going down bc of his ability to teleport on you and swing through pallets when in his power after slipstreaming

but survivors get made for this which is like the only beneficial strong perk in months and suddenly there’s an uproar, dramaturgy was ok but it got nerfed, dead hard nerfed, medkits nerfed, anti camp got nerfed, bots got nerfed - next patch falling from a height into a vault is being nerfed to force stagger which is effectively a buff to all killers

like this is where my frustration comes from, survivor isn’t fun anymore(to me) and the things that make it fun are being taken away whilst killers get all this good stuff

  • @Peanits said:

I'm sorry to hear that. If there's something in particular that you're not liking at the moment, we'd love to hear more in the feedback section if you're up for it.

But if you're just feeling burnt out, there's nothing wrong with taking a break. We'll still be here whenever you decide to return!

i just feel like all of the fun aspects of survivor are being taken away whilst killers get all these buffs (which would be great if i enjoyed playing killer) but i don’t, and survivor just feels like a chore now :((

  • @ad19970 said:

I enjoy it, at least most of the times. But it's not for everyone. Also, even though I do enjoy it, I am disappointed with how little the game has improved within 7 whole years.

I just really wish gen rush, camping and tunneling would all be looked at in more impactful ways, to really bring this game into a much healthier state in general. But after the rather weak inclusion of an anti-camp feature, I am not very hopeful.

i’ve got over 4k hours and i used to enjoy it so much but i feel survivor experience is getting worse and worse :( i try playing killer but its just boring to me, i ended up guarding basement chest as bubba and meme-ing

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/397438/xenomoph-singularity-are-the-worst-killers-in-the-game

In my opinion the killers are really bad to play as and easy to play against.

I think old sadako was better against good players and the new one is stronger against casual players.

they can all rot in the fiery pits of hell

  • yeah this issue also occurred with me when i was healing against someone with ultimate weapon and sloppy butcher; i was healing with my medkit(which only allows one heal) and just when im about to finish healing my survivor screamed and all my healing progress is lost and i couldn’t heal anymore bc the medkit had ran out…is very annoying to say the least

  • @Foempticol said:

With hook grabs removed, unhooking spamming needs to be removed as well. It has no purpose in the game.

i disagee tbf, a lot of the time when someone is camping/proxy camping in endgame you have to cancel the unhook and run away to stop yourself from going down(this is if you’re not willing to trade but want to get them off hook) or the mind game when The Executioner is camping with his power up waiting for the survivor to be unhooked you need the cancel unhook to be able to mind game at the right time to unhook idk, from my experience if someone is being stuck in this animation its bc they’re giving up at 5 gens after they went down once, or playing like a bot and making dumb plays. just go to the toilet or make a cup of tea and by the time you come back you’ll be out of the game

  • @Happyjoddker said:

This game is impossible for survivors. Me and my friend and all teams we play on lose and never finish 5 generators. Survivors cant do anything against killers. If the problem is a skill problem, why do you always put me up against MUCH better players? I am not a beginner, and this game just gets worse and worse. Make survivors better or it will remain unplayable

im ngl, a lot of the times when i see trios playing together in my games(as a surv) i see them trippling and doubling gens at the start of the game, you should all be spread out, 1 person each on their own gen whilst 1 person takes chase. if you can have 1 person last the length of 1 gen in chase, if you have 1 person each on a gen, that is 3 gens done by the time the first chase is up. leaving 2 gens left and you can have some fun.

  • @adsads123123123123 said:

The anti-camp meter going up provides information to the survivor that the killer is nearby, which is beneficial for determining when stealth killers are nearby. The meter should be invisible to survivors to prevent this. I don't think survivors should get free info just from being on a hook.

if the meter is going up that, means you’re camping does it not?
