  • Had a game just now against a sweaty four-man with flashlights and medkits, and I was kicking the absolute CRAP out of them. Was running Freddy with the paint brush and Franklin's/Weave and got a strange disconnection error (my internet was fine, and there were things wrong with the endgame afterwards) right after smacking a flashlight out of Sable's hand (or was it Mikayla?) seconds after she we

  • My teammates in solo queue lately have been consistently helpful, do gens, know all the right plays, are generous with their healing and understand that the game is a team effort that requires all of us to help each other to get out of the exit gates alive, and my escape rates have gone way up as a result. It's spooky. Never would've guessed that BHVR would stealth-drop a DLC, but I can't compla

  • Killer Concept: Peter Griffin - The Family Guy Weapon: Bird is the Word Whenever The Family Guy is within 16m of a record player, he can fire a bird-shaped magic projectile that causes the survivor in question to be affected by the Exposed (if healthy) or Broken (if injured) status effect for a random, variable length of time. • And also mobility or perceived chase power (didn't have enough room in the thread title). I think it's strange that Otz, for example, includes Plague as an A-tier killer based, by his own admission, primarily on the fact that there are one or two specific builds you can run on her that make her massively overpowered, and he always makes sure to point out that if it weren't for these builds, she'

  • They killswitched Clown back when he had a bug that gave him an infinite speed boost with his yellow bottle. I don't see how that's a whole lot different from the current state of MfT considering that there's currently a bug that causes chase to not activate in one-fifth of the games I'm playing. MfT is overpowered to begin with, but I can get one stack of bloodlust, and survivors are catchable.

  • And I love it. You can hook someone next to a turret, jump in the tunnel, mark the exit you just came out of, and move across the map (pressure a gen or just hide in the tunnel and wait). I get a down almost every time, especially if the survivors were dumb enough to heal at the hook.

  • I've had two games in the past two weeks where chase wouldn't trigger with Myers after getting into T2. When hitting someone for the first time, chase triggers, but then it drops Myers back to T1 speed even though he's in T2, making the match unplayable.

  • Had a game today where a Vittorio was running DH, DS, and MfT with a Garden of Joy offering (and he had a toolbox with BNP, too, of course), and I was not able to catch the bastard. I realize that Garden of Joy's main building is an obnoxiously long loop in general with 2-3 pallets and double windows survivors can alternate, to the point where chasing someone there can lose you the game against

  • Video Horror Society, the much-touted "DBD killer" that's been in early access for a year or two now, is shutting down. 1 - Aesthetic VHS was aiming for the 80s synthwave/90s VHS rental horror vibe, which is trendy these days, but trendy for a reason - it's a whole lot of fun. They just forgot the "horror" part. The killers were mostly inoffensive and mild (some kind of lizard thing, a goofy-

  • When the latest update dropped, a lot of us lost characters and cosmetics. I think a moderator here misunderstood the nature of the issue, as it was previously acknowledged as a bug and fixed as a bug when the same thing happened the update before that: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/380996/lost-access-to-my-characters-geforce-now-steam It's not just "an account issue"; i

  • There was an issue last update that affected former Stadia users and caused half of our purchased characters to disappear. It's happening again. I dig the new killer portraits, but me and Dead Rabbit Mikey wanna equip Deerstalker and go hunt us some Nichoals Cage.

  • Is anyone else experiencing this? In my killer games, my kill rate is down quite a bit, and, conversely, my escape rates when playing survivor are way up (to the point where I'm comfortably surviving half or more of my games despite not knowing how to loop and just not being very good at survivor in general). I think that giving survivors an onscreen status indicator in and of itself is relat

  • One QoL improvement that I'd personally like to see for solo queue is a screen during the endgame showing how much time was spent by each survivor on a gen. There's nothing more surprising and delightful than to load into a solo game and find that everyone else in the game is actually halfway interested in completing the main objective. It's all too rare of a phenomenon. I don't think we should

  • I hate to admit that I was wrong, because I'd much rather keep being grouchy about all the things I don't like about the new update, but I was. I had called it a C-tier perk even with the extra 25% regression, but that's really only true if you're playing with it exactly the way you played with old PR (using it as early and as often as you can). You can't spam it constantly anymore, which drama

  • If there was one thing that might have salvaged this update even after the healing nerfs were reverted, it was the death of DH. Now that that's clear that that won't be happening ("a powerful reward for those who have earned it", they said), and it will instead be just as powerful as before, except that it can't be used during first chase, killers need a solution. Luckily, we have one: If you

  • I've heard multiple people refer to the middle of the night as "demon hours" in DBD, and I'm beginning to wonder. If I play in the early-to-mid evening, I'm almost guaranteed to get a group of friendly casuals who I can wreck so quickly and effortlessly that I almost feel bad for playing like a complete #########. But from around eleven to five, every other game has a P100 or multiple above P50

  • Just had a game where the option to use drones just never appeared. L2 didn't do anything, so I was just a basic M1 killer on Coldwind. (Still whipped their asses, even let the last one go when they set their flashlight down - something I almost never do - but they still wanna talk trash in the EGC.) FTR, this was on Windows instead of Linux. I got tired of not being able to play Evil Dead and

  • What all are cheaters capable of? I just game across a game with some very subtle cheaters (so subtle they didn't win). Had a four-man SWF four-genned with infinite Myers running Pop/Brine/Overcharge/Eruption,. Killed two of 'em. The other two knew they didn't stand a chance, so they hid in corners for half an hour. Eventually found them, downed them, and then the two of them crawled in opposit

  • One of the best features DBD has added is the ability to store three builds per character. This already works fine for survivors since they're basically just different skins with the same basic mechanics, and you can switch freely between them in the lobby, but it's not uncommon for me to find myself wishing I had 5-10 extra slots per killer so I can set them all up beforehand and freely switch

  • A couple months back, I was one of the only people here arguing that Eruption was good, and people here were swearing up and down that it was a waste of a perk slot. Since everyone on the entire forums without exception get 100% of their opinions on DBD from YouTube videos and Twitch streamers, I assume someone influential made a video within that timeframe.

  • Are you an entitled survivor? Have to win all the time, no matter what? Find yourself in tears when you get any less than 3E and consistently DC the first time the killer hooks you? Lost your passion to play ever since the game became remotely balanced and you couldn't just press E to instantly correct your every mistake? Worry not, friends! There's a DBD game for mobile, and it just might be for

  • There should be a terror radius for survivors so that killers can always know when they're getting close to one. There could be a visual component, too, so that players who are hearing challenged wouldn't miss out. It could cover the entire area within 32m of a particular color, sort of like how boon totems work, and the colors could be combined in base of multiple survivors (so if one survivor's

  • Does anyone know how this works? I filed an in-game report, and I also have video. It looks like the cheaters in question were using auto dead-hard. As soon as I hit the attack button, on one in particular, the dead hard animation would trigger. It looks like they were able to toggle it on and off (either that, or I'm misremembering and they were still on cooldown), meaning it didn't trigger eve

  • Has anyone noticed how effective NOED has become since 6.1.0? I've started running it in a few games, and it seems like it's actually become more viable than before if for no other reason than the fact that survivors don't expect it. It's completely saved matches, especially on my more gamble-y anti-chase M1 killer builds with no slowdown. Before 6.1.0, I'd be lucky to get one down with NOED be

  • I just saw Terrifier 2. The series has officially graduated to high art, and people who think it's too lowbrow, underground, or grindhouse for a mainstream horror game don't have any ammo anymore. DBD deserves Art the Clown.

  • I still come across survivors in the endgame chat who will argue with you to the death that camping is a bannable offense and they're reporting me, whether or not I was actually doing it. In this last game, I absolutely was, but that's mostly because I ran downstairs to get a soda after hitting "ready" in the lobby, my dog was in distress and needed help when I got downstairs, and the game was w

  • Has anyone else started running this perk a lot more? It's actually strong enough to be worth running without Fire Up (which was a mediocre use of two perk slots).

  • Some people on the forums and Reddit were saying that you could get up to 500%, 600%, or 700% regression (depending on who you asked) before the nerf in the PTB with both perks at their peak. Other people have said that it goes with the highest number, so it started at 200% and worked its way up to 400%. Which is true, and how does it work now? Is it additive, as in, does it start at 175% with

  • I came across a newly revamped version of an old exploit strategy earlier this morning, and I was impressed (both by the malicious creativity of the strategy itself and the fact that I butchered them all in spite of it). Everyone remembers the Boil Over exploit that caused survivors on RPD to become unhookable in the library after its buff, right? Someone actually found a way to make it more or

  • Is the update coming tomorrow? One of the titles in Otz' videos implies that tomorrow will be the day, but BHVR hasn't announced anything. What's the evidence for and against? Do they usually announce it in advance? I personally hope that it's another week. I lost a lot of flans hitting the P1 button on some killers today, but I'd much rather have the extra time to grind my survivors to P1 befo

  • I love Built to Last. It's one of the most busted survivor perks that nobody is talking about, especially when combined with a fast toolbox, Streetwise, some speed/charge addons, a gen speed perk or two. But I keep getting harassed by idiots who see me go into a locker after I finish a gen, assume I'm trying to hide the entire match, and spend all 12 seconds opening and closing the damn locker i

  • I had a game yesterday where another survivor DC'd after being tunneled. I was injured later in the game, so I went to a corner to heal and came across his toolbox (I think it was a yellow toolbox with a BNP). I could also hear an injured survivor nearby, so I looked around for them so that we could heal each other. And looked... and looked. And then, suddenly, two other survivors were on the ho

  • For one, I'm never running Ruin again after the updates. Even with Undying, it just won't be worth it. And maybe that's the point: it was overused and maybe even oppressive on some killers, but on M1 killers with no mobility (for whom Pop became near-useless on after its previous nerf since it can take so long time find a gen), it was a primary line of defense (and it only works with Undying as-i

  • I only recently got every killer perk unlocked on Michael, and I haven't had time to play with them all yet, so I'm always picking up something new. Fun fact I learned today: Coup de Grace can deny Dead Hard while Michael is in TIII. If you're about to catch up to a survivor, and they use DH, the lunge covers the entire distance to them and knocks them down anyway. It's very satisfying; you can

  • The (admittedly cheesy) build I've been playing with Sadako is Brine/Pop/BBQ and either NOED or Franklin's. My strategy is usually to (attempt to - hard with no actual stealth in what's supposed to be a stealth killer) sneak up on a survivor doing a gen in the early game, M1 them onto a hook, use BBQ to see who's doing gens where so I can go teleport over and stomp one, then teleport back over to

  • FNAF is going to be the 6th anniversary killer... there is no question at this point, with BHVR dropping hints at every turn. If you don't believe that Springtruck is going to be the 6th anniversary killer, look at the hints they've dropped over the past few days. For starters, take a closer look at the new DBD artwork that BHVR just released: That's ri

  • What it says in the title. I bought the Silent Hill DLC on Steam, and it clearly says that it's in my library, but it hasn't shown up in-game on Stadia as of yet. Usually, when I buy a character on Steam or Stadia, it shows up in my library on both platforms, because that's how cross-progression works, but no luck so far.

  • Ruin is too weak. It should include an extra totem like Undying with its basekit, which could further stack with Undying itself. It should also regress gens while they're blocked, and any gen currently affected by Ruin would require a tremendously difficult skill check in order to start repairing or else the gen is blocked for 30 seconds (while regressing). Why do the devs hate killer mains?

  • I'm tired of dealing with all the sweaty gameplay, hooks, chases, and other forms of toxicity in DBD. More and more, I find myself coming on to the forums to complain about camping, tunneling, NOED, and just the fact that by the nature of a game like this, sometimes I have to lose. I'm starting to spend more time on the forums complaining about killers than I am actually playing the game. Fact of

  • BHVR has gone on record saying that the reason they don't say much about how they counter cheating is because they don't want to give cheaters any info on how those countermeasures are to be defeated, but then half the forum throws a shitfit because they think that means that nothing is being done at all. Why doesn't BHVR just make a bunch of ######### up? Publicly give false information about t

  • This way, I don't have to sit through games where Meg and Claudette regress a third of the gen and get us all killed in the first five minutes because they can't hit their checks. My survivor games would improve in quality, and they'd be forced to work harder on learning to play the game, so everyone wins. Doctor would be a lot of fun to play as, too.

  • I liked it a lot. I did have to admit that it had its problems. I didn't really buy the whole school shooting storyline, and they botched the subplot featuring Sally from the original film horribly (I'm not sure how it should have ended, but I am certain that they did it wrong - not to mention that they blatantly ripped off the idea from Halloween 2018). Some of the dialogue was corny, and slash

I heard that everyone should have gotten theirs by now, so I decided to post it here...
