...and knock 8m off the current TR of every killer. That will globally address the "hold W" meta without tinkering with individual killers. It is absolutely ridiculous that you can tack 35 seconds onto every chase by simply running away at the first hint of a heartbeat.13 comments 311 views last activity

Haven't had time to play yet and check, but I recall that the game's most pressing problem was that Wraith(!) is OP(!!). In your answer, assume that the reader runs All Seeing Blood 100% of the time.18 comments 261 views last activity

When you trap a survivor, each jigsaw box has a 25% change of being the right one. The important point is that all four survivors don't automatically have different boxes. It is possible for 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 survivors (if all trapped) to have the same box. I "think" the math works like this: [EDIT]: I am stupid, check out Crowman's correct math below. I don't understand why people do this. There are three ways a killer can respond: (1) Equip Lightborn, (2) leave at the loading stage, or (3) stay. What percentage of killers don't have Lightborn and don't DC when they see this? 5%? I just can't imagine this works very often. Have two flashlighters and MAYBE you'll get a non-Lightborn/non-DC match.21 comments 201 views last activity

No cooldown is great, but making this go out to 32 meters is the huge buff. Will definitely try this on Wraith (who can actually catch up in that time period and keep them in the pallet dead zone).0 comments 21 views last activity

For me, its: (1) Wraith's purple All-Seeing add-on, and/or (2) BB&C.9 comments 61 views last activity

When not in a chase, all killers move at 125% speed. When in a chase, they revert to their "normal" 110 or 115 speeds (and blood lust can build up). Without a change like that, killers without fast map travel will never, ever be as good as nurse/blight/spirit/wraith. There is a reason those are the four most played killers- mobility is king and always will be.0 comments 41 views last activity

I recall there was a lot of panicking when this perk was announced, and that some thought it would have a spot next to corrupt/pop/ruin. Has anyone noticed a lot of usage of this, and/or a significant additional slowdown effect?11 comments 341 views last activity

I know, I know....we are all supposed to be "hit and run" wraiths, but that playstyle doesn't work for me. By the time I've FOUND the next survivor, the first injured survivor is already healed by someone. Playing a "chase" wraith, I struggled until I hit upon Bamboozle + Shadow Dance. You can cut off any jungle gym (and force the pallet drop, which you can chew through in a second even with3 comments 81 views last activity

I thought about this in a recent match where (after it loaded) someone immediately DCed (i.e., it was a 3 vs. 1 from the very beginning). I thought it would be a stomp, but the remaining 3 people were fantastic and I didn't 3K them until only 1 gen was left. I saw later that the last 3 were all rank 1 or 2. We know (or at least everyone thinks) that no killer (even spirit and nurse) have a r5 comments 81 views last activity

If I get to a gen and people are on it, I chase them. To NOT chase them and kick the gen means they are pretty much halfway across the map by the time I get to the gen and kick it. If I keep doing that I lose the game on a 1 or 2 hook. I guess, once in a while when patrolling, you come across a half done gen that was abandoned because survs ran to the other side of the map and kick it. Bu29 comments 231 views last activity

The big 3 in DBD (Nurse, Spirit, Blight) all have movement abilities on very short cooldowns. 2 former heavy hitters (Freddy and Billy before nerfed into uselessness) each had movement abilities. Heck, some people (who don't know what they are talking about, but still) are starting to mention Wraith in the same breath as the big 3. Except for Freddy (who has a teleport that doesn't take setu30 comments 481 views last activity

Through perk selection (BBQ), prioritizing black wards and running BP double offerings (when no black ward in hand) I've been able to run All Seeing Blood for my last hundred matches or so. I hang around the low purple ranks (occasionally dipping into red as far as 2), probably averaging 2.75k or so. As an experiment, I just played five matches without All Seeing Blood. My tally: 2k (tota15 comments 161 views last activity

Just started playing DBD again after a few months' hiatus, and a few groups burned RCPD badges. I've...never seen easier stomps. You can see everyone, almost all the time, and the map itself seems to double the time it takes to do gens. I watched one guy through the walls trying to get to the other half of the map, and he had to keep retracing his steps to eventually find the right doorway.7 comments 141 views last activity

I usually leave room for one end game-ish perk in my build (remember me, NOED, blood warden) and have tried this a few times. What does everyone think? Personally, I am underwhelmed. It is useful in one ultra-specific scenario: you down someone on two hooks at virtually the same time the 5th gen goes off. If you hook and run to the gates, you'll be too late to keep the other 2-3 from escapin13 comments 261 views last activity

Played wraith at rank 3 last night, up against a couple 4s and a couple 3s. When the last gen popped, I had one survivor on two hooks and two on one hook each. This happened: (1) I was chasing the (healthy) 2 hook surv, and a few seconds after the gen popped I NOEDed him down and did death hook. (2) Since the death hook happened so fast, I was able to get back to the distant exit gate (one0 comments 41 views last activity

I have gotten to r3 (my highest ever) playing 100% wraith, but I just realized I am completely and utterly crippled without one specific addon (purple All Seeing, which gives you perma 12m aura reading when stealthed). This single add-on negates any need to win mindgames (since you see the surv you want, all the time), destroys stealthers (as a wraith, I WANT to play Yamaoka Estate because it18 comments 142 views last activity

You see this over and over and over here, on the killer side (and I am very much a killer main) it is practically an indisputable article of faith. But here are the facts: If you get really, really good with ANY killer (even garbage tier ones), that killer can easily handle (or least have a relatively even game with) (i) all non-red ranks, and (ii) 98% of red ranks, including rank 1s, SWFs, a45 comments 752 views last activity

I don't know all the killers well, but I was just thinking that most of them seem to (at most) have 1-2 decent addons. Often the useful add-ons are at the brown and green level. Most killers' UR seem either completely worthless or actively detrimental. Wraith actually has 6-7 add-ons that you'd actually use, and two (!) powerful URs: Silent bell (UR) See progress of all gens when stealthed19 comments 311 views last activity

I don't think the perk synergizes with anyone better (not even spirit and nurse). In the highly likely event someone is in your terror radius when you pick a surv up up (given both map size and everyone's propensity to assume they can bully wraith), nobody can both find (especially with the 12m aura reading addon) AND reach (base windstorm) someone faster and more efficiently. This is pretty obvious, but I've always thought the devs have a way, way longer nerf roadmap than they let on in the developer updates. The gut punches to survivors and killers are intentionally spaced and alternated to not drive away one segment of the population for too long. Killers just got a meganerf this patch, and survivors are next in line with DS/OoO. That means the nerf guns (for t96 comments 1,575 views last activity

I don't honestly know- even in purple, 90%+ people don't see me until I'm on top of them anyway (or they run Spine Chill, and are gone regardless of how invisible I am). I know this is a subtle buff (we really, really needed yellow or green windstorm at base instead), but has anyone noticed a difference?8 comments 191 views last activity

I was thinking of taking up doctor, and looked up that kill/pick chart from this fall. I assumed (based on lack of forum discussion about him) that he was mid or low tier. Very surprised to see that in red ranks, he is SECOND in kills- two ahead of Spirit. At all ranks, he's 4th! Why are survivors more irritated about Freddy and Spirit than this guy? Just seems strange when he's obviously54 comments 821 views last activity

As wraith main, I run BW as part of every build for a simple reason: it is the only killer perk in the game that gets more powerful and more effective at red ranks. When I play yellow and green rank teams, BW is useless. If I've only killed 0 or 1 and have 1 on the ground when the last gen blows, the other people simply open the gate and leave before I can pick up the survivor and get them to11 comments 681 views last activity

I was using the purple add-on that lets you see all auras within 12m when cloaked, and noticed someone (probably with Spine Chill) go into a locker. I went to grab them, but accidentally didn't decloak first. However- I grabbed them anyway, even though I was cloaked! I've played virtually 100% killer for the last year, and just started getting back into (solo) survivor. I simply can't believe how relaxing it is. If I escape, I feel great every single time. If I don't, I can blame my teammates. Any time I escape the killer, or can lead them on a semi-long chase, I feel like I've accomplished something. To clarify, I am a TERRIBLE survivor and still ge39 comments 851 views last activity

I say this as a person who plays 100% killer, all the time (mainly Bubba). I'm not a great killer. Before this combo I was using pop + corrupt on Bubba, and I would get destroyed by red ranks (0-1K), average a 2K on purple ranks, and do 3-4K on green and above. With Ruin + Undying, I utterly annihilate purple ranks (green and above are usually lucky to finish 1-2 generators) and am doing m6 comments 151 views last activity

The EGC timer is ticking (because you closed the hatch), and the survivor is looping and teabagging. Then, you just stand motionless on the other side of the pallet and watch them jitterbug back and forth. Gradually, it dawns on them that the speedboost and opportunity to lose you will never happen. About 30 seconds before EGC, they'll usually just come right up to you for two hits.1 comments 91 views last activity

The math is pretty simple if the first condition (a down in the first minute) is met. Bubba facecamps his victim until they die. ALTERNATIVE 1: If the other three survs are good, they slam gens and never even look at the fourth survivor. This means three gens are gone, and 1 or 2 of the last two are on their way when the first victim dies. Bubba chases down one of the remaining three whi16 comments 291 views last activity

I really wanted to incorporate Bamboozle into my builds, but it doesn't activate for me about two-thirds of the time. I just realized why- Bamboozle only blocks windows the KILLER vaults, not the survivor. I've been (mostly with Wraith) sidestepping vaults for years and raging about how Bamboozle wasn't closing them off for the survivor :/ TLDR: I am dumb.9 comments 241 views last activity

Devs could implement one (just one) of the following: For the first two minutes of the match: (1) Max Bloodlust is base kit. (2) Discordance is base kit. (3) Corrupt Intervention is base kit (and then rework the perk itself to be something else). (4) Old Ruin is base kit. Last idea- killer starts around the same place as the survivors. "We've noticed a bug in how Pop Goes the Weasel works. Originally, it was designed to take 25% off a generator's relative progress, not absolute progress. We've fixed this in the latest build. This means (for example) that if a generator is at 20% total progress, using PGTW will take the generator to 15% (since 25% of 20% is 5%), not 0%. Dashed Hopes The Entity will not allow those to escape who have just tasted the caress of your blade. When you hit a survivor with a basic attack or special attack, they may not escape through the Exit Gates for 12/14/16 seconds. Why is this? Its very simple. Let's say you've closed the hatch, and found the survivor. He's done part of a gate, but not anywhere close to a 99%. You've ignored him all game because he is a flashlight god looper/jungle gym master. If you attack him, there is a chance he uses the speed boost to lose you (or 360 around you and head off in a different direction). If that happens, there i0 comments 21 views last activity

Like DS, this will change the game even in lobbies where it isn't being run. Think about what DS does. If you are a killer, and you enter a lobby where there is an obsession, you have to start off assuming all four players have DS. That affects who you chase, who you pick up, etc. It may be that 0 people out of 4 have it, but you still need to play around it. Lightborn will be the same t58 comments 1,321 views last activity

I'm not a great killer (11ish right now as a wraith main), but for some reason all of my matches are against red and purple squads. Here is a very easy way to know if you need to tunnel/camp. (1) Get the first down within 30 seconds of game start (not difficult with wraith unless you happened to pick the god looper of the group). (2) Look around with BBQ, and you'll see one of two things:28 comments 491 views last activity

I have a P3 wraith that I've played off and on over the last couple years. With P3 bloodwebs and BB&C, you can (barring an extremely unlucky run of bloodwebs) run the purple windstorm/purple 12 meter aura reading combo pretty much permanently. I'm terrible overall, but with that combo, I can reasonably hold my own up to rank 10 (and still perform semi-respectably up until about rank 5).14 comments 341 views last activity
