How do you feel about unique Killer playstyles? Do you enjoy playing against chainsaw only Billy Killers? What about only shock Doctor? Jump-scare Myers? Which ones do you have fun against? Which ones aren’t fun?34 comments 541 views last activity

The Bloodweb is so creepy. As the player we are some type of guiding force for the Killers and Survivors. We as the players are the ones who feed the Entity while it rewards us with bloodpoints in order to continue the torture. In some ways we ourselves are the Entity. After we earn bloodpoints we perform forbidden geometric blood rituals in the Bloodweb sometimes with real intention on the pat1 comments 161 views last activity

Hi everyone, I have been playing Hillbilly exclusively. While he isn't as strong as Wraith in my opinion, he is still super fun to play. To me his power makes me think of a race car a little bit. I still am not good at using his power while in a chase but I am learning some things. For instance, I am learning that when I want a Survivor to turn I just have to rev the chainsaw. Anyways, he feels5 comments 51 views last activity

There has been a lot of discussion surrounding the role of Killer and whether or not it should or shouldn’t be the power role. On one hand you have these supposed Killer win streaks that frustrate people. On the other hand this game is a Killer power fantasy so a Killer bias is absolutely to be expected. Therein lies the conundrum. How much power should the Killer have? Should the Killer be a t116 comments 2,810 views last activity

What Killer along with all of their skins/weapons actually make you feel scared? I’ll got first. The Cenobite. Since they are interdimensional travelers I WILL NOT play around with that puzzle box, even if it is in the game. The Doctor. The Doctor terrifies me. His concept is so disturbing. It’s the cartoony mad scientist except he’s real. I find it horrifying how he shocks Survivors’ brai17 comments 292 views last activity

Is anyone else curious about this when logging into the game? I mean it for sure seems a little dark considering what the “Forbidden Experiment” actually is (language deprivation experiments). Has anyone else been curious about this?4 comments 1,201 views last activity

I don’t know why but every time I look back it feels like my character runs slower than when I am looking forwards. This isn’t a thing right? As long as you’re running then the speed is the same right?5 comments 1,211 views last activity

Hypothetically, if both the Survivor team and the Killer play to their absolute theoretical best, what is the outcome of a match? 4E? 4K? 2K since 60% kill rate is the average? I understand realistically it may be impossible but for the sake of discussion assume both sides play to the max peak ability possible.53 comments 1,662 views last activity

Is there any place I can find past lore entries released with events? I loved the mini comic from this past Halloween event. If not then it would be really nice to have them in an archive of sorts.2 comments 21 views last activity

As far as we know luck only affects your chance to unhook yourself. It may have other hidden benefits that we don’t know about but nothing is confirmed (as far as I know). It seems obvious that luck should affect the rarity of items in chests as well as potential add-ons. To accommodate this Ace in the Hole would probably need an update. What other ways do you think luck should be reworked; i6 comments 241 views last activity

I am curious to see why most people pick map offerings. I personally use them for aesthetic reasons depending on the type of feeling I want for the next match. But I also know that many people choose map offerings for strategic reasons. Why do you use map offerings? Whatever your answer is, what is it about the aesthetics/strategy that you make you choose?17 comments 221 views last activity

I am going through a Wraith phase 😏 right now and am running the Stray Cat cosmetic. For Survivor I am playing as Detective Tapp and am wearing his police hat with shades and his Christmas sweater. The sweater has bullet holes on it 😂💀💀💀 RIP Tapp26 comments 553 views last activity

I love all of the Survivors and Killers so far. However there is one demographic of Survivor I feel is missing from the line-up. While we do have Bill as an older gentleman, I would really really enjoy playing as a woman of senior age. Many of us are aging with these games and it doesn’t seem so far fetched that many of us will be playing well into old age. I would love to be able to play as an o2 comments 51 views last activity

As the title states, I would love to see the shop get updated. Whenever a new collection comes out if I click on the collection title card the game will take me to one Survivor’s costume associated with the set. If I want to see other cosmetics in the set I have to manually go to each character and see if they have a costume in the set. While I do love to browse, the experience is too slow on t3 comments 41 views last activity

As an upfront I want to state my main purpose from the start. I want games to last satisfyingly longer. With that being said… I have finally stumbled upon the joy of slugging. Let me preface this provocative topic with a disclaimer: Slugging as a means to slow the game down (which I will get into detail below) NOT the kind of slugging that forces Survivors to bleed out for no reason at all or3 comments 191 views last activity

I am currently going through every Survivor using their adept loadout. I am currently using Detective Tapp. I need to take a moment to point out what a badass he is. He is so cool, his story is cool, his character is cool, and his perks really stick it to the Killer. Tenacity- This perk feels so good to use. I like how after a grueling chase I can still find a way to lose the Killer sometimes11 comments 361 views last activity

When do you prefer the Main Building on maps, as Survivor or Killer? What maps do you prefer Main Building for Survivor? Which ones for Killer? What about Killer Shack? I’m not competitive so every time I start a match it plays out like a scary movie in my mind. The main building (for me) plays a theatrical role in the “story-line” of the match I am in. I have found that the main building someti0 comments 42 views last activity

As my go-to rule if I see a Survivor has an event item I automatically always let them escape. I would hate for them to lose the item. Other times when a Survivor makes a blatant mistake I will sometimes give them a small head-start or even just let them escape too. When do you (if ever) allow Survivors to escape?103 comments 3,455 views last activity

What is your worst Killer to play against? Mine is the Cenobite. I objectively do play worse against him than any other Killer. The reason being is that I refuse to solve the puzzle cube. I’m afraid that if I solve it in the game he will show up in real life and take me away 😂 What Killer(s) are you for some reason bad against? Why?49 comments 931 views last activity

So I’ve been re-playing the Survivors in order of release doing their adept challenges and whatnot. I am now on Quentin Smith and can I just say how amazing I think his kit is? Wake Up, Pharmacy, and Vigil feel so good to use. As a fourth perk I am running Kindred. Wake Up doesn’t always get used but being able to open the exit gate faster feels so nice. It really does seem to make a difference17 comments 401 views last activity

What would you consider to be the Killer Shack on maps like RPD or Midwich? It kind of seems that the offices on the bottom floor of RPD on the east side is the “Killer Shack” of the map. What about other maps? What are your thoughts?2 comments 961 views last activity

I understand that in a game as complex as DBD passions can run high for everyone. But at the end of the day this tells me that we all love this game and want it to be the best game it can be; which brings me to my topic. What are some of the things you love most about DBD? I love the quirky culture that has emerged from the game like when Survivors and Killers find respect for each other in vari47 comments 1,811 views last activity

Depending on your combination of perks what name as a job class would you call your build? Are you a Medic because you use Empathy and other healing perks? A Healer/Pharmacist job class because you use Botany? Maybe you consider yourself a Warrior and you use Decisive Strike and Dead Hard? What job class do you consider your perk build?23 comments 271 views last activity

What is your favorite perk in the whole game? You can only choose one. It doesn’t matter how good or bad the perk is, all that matters is that it is your favorite one. Mine is Bloodhound. I love that I can see blood trails so easily. It makes tracking the Survivors down so satisfying and fun. Just follow the blood and there is a prize at the end lol. Runner up perk would have to be Streetwise69 comments 802 views last activity

Do many of you use it? I wish people could get notified and from who when you give props. I have played with some really fun Killers and Survivors who do exceptionally well in game that they definitely deserve some praise. I also think that every player should be able to give every player props if they wanted instead of just one person. Like today, I was playing as the Wraith and I played again15 comments 341 views last activity

When the Killer arrives at a generator with Survivors I have generally noted that the Killer will enter chase and down/hook a Survivor before coming back to hit the generator. It makes sense since the Killer doesn’t want the Survivor to escape. However, are there times when hitting the generator first is better? Is it high risk high reward if you can hit it first, then find the chase and let th12 comments 221 views last activity

Despite loving both roles and the thrills they provide, personally I have to go with playing as Killer. The Killer may be difficult sometimes but even if all four survivors escape it’s still a match full of action and interaction. Playing as Killer feels like constant engagement. Why do you prefer your favorite role?30 comments 661 views last activity

What are some of the things that make you laugh in game? When Survivors nod it always makes me laugh. It’s so hilarious to see their heads go all the way back and all the way down 😂 Usually when someone returns crazy head nods back to me I will go a little bit extra out of my way to try and help them survive.13 comments 202 views last activity

I was watching some DBD League on Youtube today and was wondering how points work. I see that a first hook on a Survivor is 3, hook states afterwards are 2 each. Generators are 2 each. But when three survivors escaped, they got 8 points total for that? Does anyone mind breaking down the scoring format for me? Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it to me.0 comments 321 views last activity

What are some of your favorite horror aspects about Dead by Daylight? I think most of us can agree that Michael Myers is extremely fun to play against from a horror POV. Personally for me, I will never forget when I first loaded into Garden of Joy. Seeing everything suspended in mid-air with the sky being that weird bizarre purplish red color gave me such an uncanny dreamlike feeling. It was1 comments 71 views last activity

I'm not sure if the survivors used to turn their heads when on a generator or if they turned their heads as drastically when on the move but I like it. Also I like how "Rate your match" was changed to "Did you have fun". These small changes go a long way. So thanks DbD team!3 comments 102 views last activity

Obviously the metrics go back to the developers but have they ever explained in specific detail how our ratings are actually used? I'm curious.6 comments 212 views last activity
