They take years in general, but they don't give many reasons to not use pop and pain res to be fair, new maps are pretty big and have often pretty good loops so you can't preassure through fast chases. So slowdown it is and you're back to pop and pain res.

I'd like it if dbd gets more chase-based but at moment the maps are too unbalanced, so they need to change that first and then see what they can do to make chase-perks more apealing.

Besides that I think killers that are strong in chase are generally not really liked, so I can imagine that many people would hate that

Yes, this is the essence of the problem. chase is fun for survivors, but if killer go along with it, surbivors will complete gen, so Killer is fighting against it in a gen meta perk.

In other words, survivors have to accept either gen meta perks or chases that end quickly due to game balance and tactical elements. every can't refuse either, because it's a case that needs to be solved with skill.

  • As for whether Blindness has a big effect, I don't really care because the effect of canceling the haste perk is far more important. That being said, it makes sense to remove Blindness from Ultimate Weapon's.

  • Originally, the nurse was getting tired when the pallet was applied after blinking. Everyone couldn't believe their ears when the developer announced that it was actually a bug. ``Maybe you shouldn't have fixed that?'' Everyone had the same opinion.

Personally, I don't mind returning it. That way you have more room to demonstrate your skills and it will be more interesting.

No one has said anything about novice survivors except you. And it’s an irrelevant statement point. Players at every level have a right to share what they think of the game.

This is the opinion of a new player, so he's basically a beginner, right? I think that's the real point, if not all of it. If there is a new person who believes that he or she is capable, that is free.

iwl when any addon can facilitate this type of gameplay, especially when encouraged by an achievement, its just objectively not healthy for the game. both sides are bored and frustrated and it just encourages greater frustration and divide between an already split community.

i just dont like tombstone lol theyre very outdated

If the survivors knew how slow he was, they could have done a lot of things.

I don't blame the last survivor for locking himself in a locker. It's his right so I pick him up and move on to the next game. That's how I unlocked it.

  • It can't be helped because there is a discrepancy between the game balance that a beginner feels and the game balance that comes from the experience of a non-novice. What we need is beginner mode, not buffs or nerfs. And when it comes to these kinds of topics, the only thing that is always talked about is the novice survivor.

  • No matter how you look at it, it's probably something that hangs four people in the basement. It's good because I've already unlocked it

  • If lights out mode is not implemented, I would like this. Those who say they are capable will be able to prove their skills in this mode!

Of course, it is also a mode that is easily affected by the killer's abilities, so survivors will be proud of how well they were able to stand up to each killer.

I sometimes wonder if killers tunnel their way to consistent 4K's, only to eventually end up playing against nothing but sweaty, high level SWF players, then proceed to get ripped apart and then come to the forums to complain that their matches are too hard.

This is exactly what happens. Then they take it out on survivors who have nothing to do with the situation they put themselves into. Its a vicious cycle, that is entirely self induced.

This is natural since they are competing seriously with each other. And we really need to talk about balance when we are willing to compete with each other. Therefore, tunnels and camps are both tactics, and even if they are weak on their own, they must be used in the fight to the top. This is because the survivor speeds up the gen due to its existence, and when the killer rushes in response, the hook area becomes thin.

Everything is causal, so missing any of them would be foolish in a competitive situation. And in reality, tunnels and camps are often only deterrents, and they rarely actually suppress survivors, at least among advanced players.

I think you are missing my point no matter what i will do wither it is get off or stay on my gen will get blocked no matter what

If so, there are things survivors can do during that time, such as treatment, moving to another gen, or rescue. If the survivor doesn't do anything and the killer doesn't do anything, it's as if nothing happened during that time. If you don't make any mistakes in how you do the rescue, there won't be that much loss.

  • The Artist is famous as a killer in the strong category, but the conditions for her to use her power irrationally are difficult, so if a Survivor is cornered to that extent, it's a result of her work. If you don't know that the cooldown time varies depending on the number of crows, you need to learn about artists first.

  • Players who DC because they don't want to be able to do what they want to do shouldn't play multiplayer in the first place.

Except for 110 killers get punished more for not using their power and take longer to get hits more so than 115 killers. There is a reason why the vast majority of Huntress never m1. Spooky/Max/Seek

One reason Huntress is obsessed with M2 is its range, but another important point is that the situation after M2 attack is often better than after M1 attack.

Huntresses are known to be killers that are very vulnerable to short pallet loops, but will sometimes launch a mobile attack without preparing an hatchet. This is effective against survivors who read each other through pallets, and Huntress uses it as a type of feint, especially against skilled survivors. I'll give you an example of how M1 is faster than M2.

  • If you're making this change with the intention of buffing it, it's not a bad thing. However, inevitably, leaving slugs unattended becomes popular, and we can't blame them for that.

  • What is really needed is for everyone to have the knowledge and means to access things like map introduction videos. This is the worst part of the dbd community, even if such material is available, many people either don't know, deliberately ignore it, or don't want to learn it.

  • Although it loses its usefulness due to Calm Spirit, it is still a good perk to have on occasion. For the killer to know that the crow is taking flight from behind killer is more valuable than any imagined. This is effective not when attacking, but when defending a specific position. camping, gen patrol, etc.

Just let go of the gen before the hook or before GE activates and you won't have to deal with DMS. Plus Pain Res and GE can only be triggered 4 times by hooking 4 different survivors. It's really not that hard to deal with.

Yes, that's right. And as a by-product of DMS, many survivors should know the loss of having the killer know which gen consider important by survivors and positioning of survivors.

  • Heal tech is fine. Therefore, it is also correct that various hook-related survivor perks are disabled and AFC does not activate after being powered. That's all over. No changes necessary.

  • I don't have any particular thoughts regarding playstyle or the type of killer. It's just fun to be able to compete honestly. When I was begginer, my alive had a heavy meaning, but as I understood the mechanics of the game, I realized that they were worthless, and I didn't care if I died for be tunneled.

The most fulfilling moment for me as a survivor is when I make the killer admit that I'm not worth pursuing. If you follow me, others will complete gen. I'm happiest when I can control the killer's actions through teamwork.

And that can only be obtained against strong and serious killers. So any killer who seriously wants to win is fine.

  • It's important not to be an SWF in a pure competition of ability, so I understand your desire for that. However, BHVR will never do that because it would be a huge loss in terms of profits.

More than that, in Japan there is a strong demand for the ability to avoid matches with anonymous players. It's clearly a breeding ground for cheaters, and everyone explicitly avoids it, so the current situation just adds an extra step.

I can‘t really answer this well, because it depends in which mmr I am. Most times they actually do the counterplay and it feels miserable, but then when I loose two games they just ignore it.

But I would say it‘s a 50 chance to get someone, who does the counterplay and who doesn‘t.

Thank you. Probably, if it is a killer that is rarely encountered, many people will be seeing it for the first time. Still, Sadako was popular as a strong killer for a while, so I thought that the act of extracting the video in the first place was already well-known as her basic knowledge.

  • @Hexling said:

Lol you must be at low MMR ive seen killers wait till all 5 gens are complete and obliterate the survivors with an end game build with nurse. Thus the name SNOWBALL. Played against both alf and vulpixia on dead dog trust me its not much fun.

Could you show me that in a video? I will point out how the survivors were at fault.

Even in an elementary school, if the survivors are serious, they can attack two gates at the same time and there is nothing even a nurse can do about it. Nurses are only good at chasing a single survivor, and after all, they cannot stop multiple survivors at the same time. Since the content is so immature, I can point it out in writing, but I can point it out in more detail in the video.

Even in my area, there are skill differences between players, and sometimes there are survivors who are helpless, but even compared to that, I honestly felt that even the knowledge of gate battles here was disappointing. You are speaking based on people who clearly have no knowledge. That's why the stories don't fit together.

I'm so tired that I don't have the energy to talk anymore. Please insult me. I won't argue anymore. If you all think that will improve your play feel.

See, when you actually point it out what your talking about it lets us know what your talking about without us having to look further back. And as you say (we didn't watch any of those videos) they are making mistakes, that's human error. Even good survivors will have that, even if it's just not to that extent. Meaning any absolute times for this or that fall flat to us.

Yes you also kinda missed our main points. It's not an instant loss if 3 gens pop at 1 hook for m1 killers. If the killer isn't getting pallets or hits within that frame it's on the killer. Human error makes most theories impractical in practice.

And finally yes, you still haven't actually answered the main question. What was the killer doing during that time that they weren't getting hits or pallets?

Please take a look at the first video. Isn't it a hassle?

Is this your criteria for having a survivor consume a pallet by a killer? So I am not speaking based on this. Survivors who use palettes like this have already lost half of their matches due to skill disparity.

One thing you should never do is use a pallet from the cabin. Since the surrounding generators have not been completed, in this case you should have taken them even if you were injured, and you should have gone to the exit on the other side without using them. In the next scene where he is injured, he is too slow to move beyond his reflexes, and if he had gone towards Pallet when Bright ran, he would have made it in time. This is clearly a move that does not understand the characteristics of Bright.

Do I look intimidating? No, not only me but many genuine survivors make mistakes, but they do not act out of ignorance like this. They don't know the correct answer from the beginning, so it's only natural that they're wrong. It's no shame. The problem is that every are not aware that are wrong.

I explained "theoretically to the extent that it can be practically practiced." If you disagree, try presenting a ``theoretically better course of action.'' You can abuse me, but it doesn't override what I'm saying.

1: you asked where we got that number. We answered and the edited version (stupid panic button) of that post explains how using absolutes isn't workable.

2: we're getting the feeling your basing everything off of theories and not practice. As previously mentioned, killer powers, perks, and human nature are variables needed to be considered (the likes of spirit and pig come to mind). Would the survivor move in advance if they don't see it coming? Would they want to finish that gen, hit be damned? Can the killer outplay the survivor at whatever they're at? There's no perfection, nor set in stone "they will do this and this is how it's going to be". Hell that becomes a weakness to us as predictable becomes easy prey no matter who we are. [He's getting side tracked at this point] We also don't really believe in the average because of said variables.

We don't deny that 3 gens can be completed in the time of a hook but if survivors get hurt and pallets get burned, then it's not a instant win for survivors like you keep framing it as. Hell, it still wouldn't be as things swing the game till survivors are out or dead.

We don't know what videos your talking about, nor the comments soooo...

3: we just realized that you've still technically didn't answer the question. What was that killer doing during that time?

Do I miss the point in the comments I made in this reply? All people who call themselves intermediate, even if they are not perfectionists, do something like this.

I just got home and watched a little bit of the video you suggested.

First, Ada wastes the first pallet, the cabin pallet, and immediately knocks over the subsequent heavy equipment pallets. All of them should be able to buy time for more than one loop, but they clearly consume a lot of palette. With this, it is natural that the second half palette is insufficient. It's an obvious mistake.

Regarding the next Oni match, Feng Ming is taking over Chase, so why do the other survivors heal without opening the gate? Every doing the wrong thing right now. This is also clearly a mistake.

As for Ghostface at the end, Hadi was the first to bravely complete the gen (great!) and escape, which was good, but then he made a mistake in waiting in the wrong place near the pallet. If you're going to wait on a pallet, you should be on the outside, and originally you should have peeked through the window after passing through the window to see how Ghostface would come. If I had watched, I would have probably gone around the L-shaped wall one more time. This is just to say that there is room for improvement, but it is not perfect.

In this way, each survivors mistake accumulates until the killer finally wins. I was especially surprised that the gate wasn't opened during the Oni game. This is a mistake you should never make! Ada is using up a lot of pallets probably because she doesn't have confidence in Chase, but it's still better that way.

  • If I were the killer in such a situation, I would definitely sacrifice Felix!

Now let's wait for the dev response. It's good to have good news.

  • @Rulebreaker said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3670638#Comment_3670638

1: one person doing 3 gens will take is 270. The absolute minimum of survivors popping 3 gens is 90. Not taking into account anything else like gen search time, the killer kicking ppl off gens, etc. Therefore 90-270. Also surprisingly each match is

2: Assuming both sides are relatively equal in skill and brains, even the most frugal would still be burning some pallets or getting hit. Theory also doesn't live to practicality in a few ways. During chase should the killer realize it's going to be a time sink they can break off, if during chase they see a survivor working they can swap targets then and there, the freaking map itself can cause headaches for either side, and the like. Killers powers also affect this as GF is effectively an m1 (going by our definition, if you got a specific definition you need to tell) but can stealth at will and has access to an instant down (yes even good survivors will occasionally get downed by this despite what everyones thinking) causing psychological warfare naturally. Usually survivors are human, and no human is perfect. Theory is all well and nice but putting it into practice isn't likely and what is said (m1 can't win against an opponent of the same "rank") and what happens is different.

    My premise is

    1. Survivors will begin to complete the generator within the first 20 seconds. I can roughly tell where the generator is from the map name, so it will only take that long. Therefore, normally 2 to 3 gens are completed in 120 seconds.

    2. If the killer is M1, the survivor first moves in advance so as not to receive an easy hit (although it can't be helped if there is an accident) and starts the loop in the correct position. In a way that I also mentioned in other people's videos. Against people who can do this, the killer will not be able to land a hit unless the feint is done well, and the feint is also a wasteful movement, so if it fails, the survivor will fly into the window and buy more time. The frequency with which pallets are consumed is significantly different between those who know the basics of these loops and those who do not. Therefore, my premise is the former. On average, it takes about 30 seconds for a killer to deal a single hit to a survivor who can perform these actions. After that, the survivor's options are to buy enough time and down, or to down using a pallet that can be used in that chase (there is a theory as to whether it is okay to use or not, and anyone follow it). Their average will be roughly 20 to 30 seconds. In total, it takes about 1 minute to complete, and the killer consumes about 80 to 120 seconds, including the initial search time and the time to carry the survivor to the hook. In other words, within the margin of error, 2 to 3 generators can be completed in 120 seconds. The pallets are not wasted by survivor, and the necessary areas are lefted some pallets.

  • It's fun to play against you and to use. It's a killer where the key to success is how to injure or knock down multiple survivors at the same time, so it's quite difficult to handle.

  • @CodeDB said:

One of these matches is quite literally a comp matchup from a tournament. To blame it on "skill disparity", "a mistake", or "luck" instead of actually acknowledging the skill on the killer's part (or even the survivors) is so dismissive, I find it downright insulting.

In the future, if you want people to have actual discussions or considerations with you, you may need to check your bias and possibly admit you were wrong or, at the very least, were exaggerating for emotional effect. Otherwise, it's kind of pointless to even respond.

First of all, for each video you introduced, I mentioned about 1 minute after it was played. If you think what I say is unfair, that's fine.

That doesn't answer the question. At all. Not talking about advantages or lack of, or how "good" come together, we're asking what was the killer doing during the 90-270ish seconds.

If the killer is actually trying to kill survivors then at minimum a decent number of pallets should be burnt, people hurt, or combination there of. If not, then we agree with Aven_Fallen's assessment that there needs to be improvement on the killers part.

270 seconds! ? Where did that number come from? 3gen will be completed in 120 seconds at most.

To do this, the chase will only take about a minute, subtracting the killer's search time and the time it takes to reach the hook. In the opening, all the pallets are present, so Survivors use them strategically and use them in combination with windows to be frugal. This is quite possible if you know how to derive the loops from each other.

So, as a killer, the theory is to let it use about 2 pallets and then change the target, but if everyone is a good survivor, after consuming a certain amount of pallets and finally knocking it down, several gen completes. From this point on, the killer can only win if the killer doesn't make a mistake and the survivor makes a mistake, so it is said that M1 cannot win against an opponent of the same rank. Of course, it is different if there is a disparity.

Yes, that's why it exists because there is a skill disparity between killer and survivors. Or simply by luck. Or maybe someone just accidentally made a mistake.

Except her first version, Sadako always felt like that.

Survivors don't know how to play against her. So she is getting high kill-rate. But when you face with the team who knows how to play against her, you are just powerless.

As you see in my screenshot, i was only one who countered her power. I never sit on gen if TV is active, i took tapes, i removed my stacks. But my team was clueless.

And when i play Sadako, results are not different. I am playing her pretty often but only few teams know what to do. It's really crazy.

Normally people would learn how to deal with it through famous streamers, but is this kind of culture rare internationally?

  • @Rulebreaker said:

So if 3 gens got done before 1 hook and the map isn't lacking pallets, what was the killer doing during all that time?

We've also got to disagree on the no chance of winning but on general principles.

This is because M1 Killers who chase good Survivors in the opening stages will always waste a certain amount of time. Therefore, among excellent players, the M1 killer is generally considered to be at a disadvantage.

When players who are good at each other come together, it becomes a match like that.

That's why a gen suppression perk is essential, and you can't chase down survivors. If killer chase one survivor, will definitely complete 5 gen, need wait patiently until create a good situation to chase after one person.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

Have you ever considered that you might need to improve? 50-60 seconds chases are not good. Especially if we consider that usually people over- or underestimate the time they take. E.g. Survivors think their chases were longer than they were and Killers think their chases were shorter than they were.

And well, losing 2-3 Gens for 1 Hook is pretty normal and should not really mean anything. It is just natural that the first Gens are the fastest, but Gens take longer the more the game progresses. And the last Gen can take longer than all 4 Gens before combined.

Losing a few Gens early is not really a good argument.

In the current environment, if you complete 3 gens before getting 1 hook, the killer has no chance of winning. From there, as long as one survivor touches the generator, gen powered is inevitable. The exception is unless top tier killer (in which case 3 gen completion won't happen) or your previous chases have turned key areas of the map into a scorched wasteland of pallets.

It would be fine if all the survivors wanted to skip the generator and rescue the survivors.

  • The main reason why killers dig tunnels is because they can permanently stop one person's work, which means they want to prevent the gen completing. The optimal solution for the anti-tunnel is obvious, as it has been talked about a lot, but all you have to do is shake up the killer and say, "Do you want to kill me? That's fine, but the gen will be completed in the meantime." However, for beginners, this seems like an incredibly hard task and no one can do it properly.

  • Honestly, unless a killer is a late-blooming killer, if we can't down survivor within the first minute, we loses half the fight. Most of the time this happens when the survivors are not very good or we use top tier killers.

  • @jonifire said:

I play her very much and most people just don‘t care about her, but the rounds against survivors, who understand the counterplay are so miserable.

She is really only good if people ignore her.

I hope we get her first version with buffs back. She was fair back then and far more fun.

From your perspective, what percentage of people do you think are able to take precautions? It is expected that in the future, the sloppy butcher will be nerfed, making it even more difficult to aim for curse kills.

  • Even after the change, the basic measures remain the same. The TV will turn on after a few seconds, so quickly pull out the video and work on completing the generator as usual. Turn off the TV as much as possible, return the video before the curse builds up, and repeat.

I wish I could share this theory somewhere where everyone can see it.

  • @PreorderBonus said:

Tons of pallets, most of which are unsafe. Being an indoor map, it counters like half the killer roster. Things like Xeno's tunnels or Pig's boxes are bugged and don't spawn properly.

And the worst thing is that 2 of the gens are so hard to guard that you're literally better off giving them up at the start of the match. I'm talking about the upstairs gen and the gen near the portal.

I think that DBD was a slightly better game without this map in its rotation.

The gens on the third floor and near the portal are called "discarded gens" and are gens with low value to protect. Please strictly protect everything else.

  • If there is a limit of one little finger, it would be better to set the effect time to 10 seconds. It can only be used in places where it makes sense, and it has no antidote effect.

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

I know it isn't really a solution to people playing like this... but I started running unbreakable every game lately. You don't get unbreakable value every match but when you do it really can be a game changer

It's a difficult perk to decide on, but there have been many matches where it actually helped. If you decide to turn things around, you are a hero!

  • If the Survivor and Killer are all of the same strength, Survivors won't let you tunnel easily, and even if you can, you'll usually lose. If you can win by tunneling, there must be some kind of big mistake on the survivor's part, so don't worry about it and just dig a tunnel.

Rather, the problem is when there are people at a level who won't make the tunnel easier, and when you are in a situation where you will lose if you dig a tunnel. In this case, the important thing is to reduce the amount of work your opponent has to do by knocking down one person and then going to interfere with the other person's gen. Due to repeated changes in this game, hooking survivors has become extremely weak. So, instead of hanging it too easily, try to increase the suppression force and sabotage the generator.

Tunneling is a tactic, so you can do it as much as you like. Anyway, the developer will install an anti-tunnel system after receiving complaints, so that's all there is to it.

  • It can be healed in almost the same amount of time as it would take to be healed by someone else, so it is a fairly usable perk. However, I would still prefer Self Care Botany.

For all underground perks, it is important to complete the surrounding gens so that the killer does not approach, so this will be a bottleneck.

  • Okay, then your opinion is valid. Wraith may have wanted to be mean and proud, or maybe he was afraid of the 4%, but we can't fully guess what he was thinking.

If I were in Wraith's position, I would hook one and if 4% was impossible, I would hook another one. If it turns out that the act is extremely malicious, I think it would be a good idea to file a report.

Why are you making this out to be the survivors fault? You go under a hook and they won't care either way. You must despise survivors because every time I see you on a discussion you shift the blame on them.

I thought maybe Wraith was wary of the perk of getting up. I finally realized the difference with additional information, so I admit my mistake.

Considering that the Wrait knew where we were the entire time thanks to his aura add-on and me and one of the other survivors crawled from UNDER a hook where he left us, went ALL THE WAY AROUND half of the map and then ran into him MULTIPLE times before we ended up under the pallet. I think it is safe to say he had plenty of chances lmao.

I wish I had presented that first. So you think Wraith left Slugged survivors?

  • If you really don't want to waste time, you should crawl from under the pallet to under the hook.

  • You just don't have enough company. When you are being chased by a killer, your companions are neglecting to complete the gen even though they should complete it. Please feel sorry for the incompetence of your friends.

  • Yes, even in my area, the number of cheaters from certain countries has increased to the point where everyone is warning each other not to match with anonymous. The anonymous feature was a bad mechanism that allowed cheats to be used effectively. Everyone hates it.

Survivors have to learn that each player in the team has to take their turn wasting the killer's time, and in addition survivors need to be taking hook states during the game

    distortion users entered the chat.

to add to the topic: i personally think 90% of the time in soloq the teammates of a survivor getting tunneled just need to do gens and not try to be heroes, especially if it's multiple teammates hovering/taking hits. in soloq that's mostly a waste of time since you don't know how good the player is or how favorable their position is. you never know how much help (if ever) the person needs and it kills the spirit of the player when they see you wander around instead of doing gens while they are already using resources and don't need any help.

Well, it depends on whether it's within the realm of possibility or not. There are many times when we decide, ``It's no good for him anymore, let's just survive on our own.'' What is needed is to delay and prevent the survivors from being cornered to that extent as much as possible. For this reason, there is a concept of distributing the hook state, and the ability of the survivor to do this is also a counter to the killer.

  • Chase is the star of this game, but map knowledge is actually required. After all, 60% of improving game comes from understanding the map.

I play both sides equally, one side makes me hate playing the game and the other side is easy so easy it is boring. The easy side is killer, I don't tunnel, because you don't need to unless you want too. Tunneling isn't fun and takes any thrill of the game away. That said Killers if they have any game sense or map pressure do not have to try at all unless they're against a swf.

Most games there is 1 good survivor a meh survivor and 2 potatoes hiding in the corner because the game is so brutal for survivor they don't know what to do.

I'm tired of bs posts like yours and the one you quoted. Anyone who plays both sides knows survivor is absolutely miserable unless you have a swf. If your playing soloq which most of us do its not even close to being a good time.

No, if we don't survive soloQ, it's usually because someone else made a fatal mistake.
