  • Ok, thought i was goin crazy. Havin this problem with survivor too

  • Itd be awesome if standing in the exit for 5 seconds or more would trigger a 15-20 sec blood warden. Id give up a tiny amount of BP to not hafta deal with wastin time hittin an entire team of toxicity out the gate. I get it, you won....now get out.

I booped a snoot at the EGC. They still killed me.

Clearly I did it wrong and I take full responsibility

One must gently clear ALL the boogers to make ones pig happy. Also, bring them presents.

If you ever met a piggy who picked you up and spinned you as fast as she could until you wiggle off... that was probably me.

We may have met a few times 🤣

So, so tired of this meme.

Look, if you want to boop on your last hook when I have you cornered, I may let you go.

    May.

But far too often, this results in someone booping when I catch them after my first chase, with 2 gens popping in the background, upon which they immediately rage DC and cuss me out in postgame for being sweaty.

Not all surviors will get angry at bein babied by a letter pig. Most of us are happy to have a chill game n spread some points. Keep piggin on, my friend

  • Still worth it 😁

  • If the bar fills all the way up...pain.

Otherwise its fine and can be a good way to signal ppl

  • I was in total agreement with you....

Then i saw there was no cake....

    Now matchmaking is perfect 😁

Every game I've had as killer (I've not played DBD for two weeks) is survivors popping two generators in my face whilst I'm in my first chase and then dead hard saving them and then another generator popping so unfortunately that guy is being tunnelled.

Nah, im talkin killers hard tunneling against solo q at 5 gens level bad. I get goin hard against ppl that are runnin circles around you, thats not what im runnin into tho

    Please play killer.

    1. You'll have a better time and earn more BP.

    2. There's an overabundance of survivors playing, which is wrecking the matchmaking.

I usually split my time evenly. This is the only time of day i can get survivor lobbies. In about an hour, killer is the only option (unless i sit in 20 min queues)

  • Definitely the toxic bs.

As for the cosmetics, it just gives you a random one....probly not the character youre on. Killers can unlock survivor cosmetics and vice versa. If you dont see the character pop up before it goes away, just check around.

  • Im only a couple hours in on survivor. Im not burnin another single cake. Ive been lookin forward to the event for weeks and its so bad that i dont even wanna play now. Every damn match has been killers hard tunneling off hook. This is stupid.

  • I had a midwich the other day that only had 1 hook on the entire upper floor. Once the survivors realized it they ran every chase to spots with no easy way down. 3 of the 4 kills were bleed outs.

Sadly, the empty courtyard thing seems to be happening more often.

    (Assuming you are Solo Queue)

    Bond

Bond is such a wonderful information perk that I run it on damn near everyone. Am I hurt and need help? Bond will find me a buddy! Is someone hurt and needs my help? Bond will show me where my hurt future buddy is! Do I hear the terror radius and I'm not sure what's going on? Well that guy running around demonstrates that they're being chased and therefore I am good to just keep working on this generator. Am I running from the bad guy? Oh snap, I can see with Bond that my buddy is on that generator so instead of turning left to them, I'm gonna turn right!

Information is King in this game and Bond gives you the most bang for your buck when it comes to info.

I used to always be a Bond guy, but lately ive switched to Empathy and kinda like it more. The advantage of bein able to see whats goin on map-wide is worth the trade off to me. Either way, one of those is an absolute necessity.

On killer side, ive been enjoying Plaything lately. Even by itself, it offers a decent amount of early to late game slowdown. I underestimated how far ppl will go to get rid of their hexes.

  • On the killer side, its not too bad. It could use some tweaks, but usually it balances out. Get some sweats, drop a little, have some fun before the sweats kick back in.

Survivor side (solo q) is absolute hell. Im stuck in a spot where the game thinks i can carry a team against high skill killers and that triggers an endless loop. Get bad teammates or ppl that DC/off themselves, lose game and depip. Get worse teamates, lose game and depip. Get slightly less skilled killer with more garbage teammates, maybe solo escape with single pip. Then repeat the whole process. Its a rare treat when i can get a teammate that can hold a chase longer than 20 seconds. Id love for them to bring back the old system. At least back then i didnt feel like i was constantly beatin my head against the wall.

  • I didnt know this was a thing until earlier today. Was doin a gen with a Dwight, he went over to lock one, and BOOM! Scared the hell outta me. It was kinda awesome.

(Dwight was ok....but probly scarred for life. Maybe the entity should snag a shrink.)

  • I would like them to NOT die instantly, either through lack of skill or bein mad cuz they got hooked.

But also, gens....ffs do the damn GENS!!!!!!

Yeah, im with the person that said plz do anything that makes it seem like youve played the game before.

Ive been stuck at iri 4 for a lil over two weeks. Every single time i get close to moving up, a string of this crap or omega campers happens. I usually have no problem gettin iri 1 (aside from the normal slog of doin it solo q), but this month has been absolutely absurd.

  • 20220612_192828.jpg

    Super fun solo Q adventures

  • @Witchubtet said:

That’s More the survivors fault right? Killers don’t control the DCs or enjoy them.

100% survivors. Wasnt blamin the killer, just pointin out how pissed off he was.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

The Garden of Joy map seems to practically have a 0% rate right now. I had to do a custom match to finally get a chance to see it.

Sad. In roughly 25 hrs gameplay ive had it come up only once.

  • Not really a fun thought, just a question. Whats with the uptick lately in ppl takin the game hostage? I frequently get down to 2 survivors and they just vanish....even when theres only 1 or 2 gens left. Ive been stuck in matches for 30-45 minutes checkin every locker til somebody slips up. What gives? And is that somethin they should be reported for?

  • Im having the same problem on PS5. This is not an "its sposta be dark, git gud" problem. The way it looks on PC is NOT the way it looks on playstation (possibly consoles in general, idk). Somethings not workin right.

  • The struggle is real.....

On a side note, you saved my ass the other night lol thanx 😁 (it wasnt this match)

  • Claudette. Shes got all the good herb.

Prob the angle. Is ur console near a window and do you sit lower than your TV. If so the lighting will be differnt. It has nothing to do with the game

Dark room and my face is flush with the tv. If i sit in the same spot while watchin a PC stream without post filters, it looks fine. Thanx for the thought, tho

  • @Momentosis said:

Imagine being able to see in the dark.

The problem is that on console, even if im standing next to something, I cant see it. It doesnt look like it does on PC. Somethings broken.

  • To make it much easier, play on Wraith and run around cloaked. You will almost always hear them before you see them, so throw on some headphones and listen. Youll hafta uncloak to interact with them.

As other ppl have said, they only spawn at totem spots that DO NOT have a totem. 1 always spawns somewhere at the start of the match, then more pop in as the game goes on. It seems to be based on overall progression of the match, so yeah...gens and hooks make more pop in.

  • I finally got the map and held vigil for Maurice in his old spot. Sadly, the nurse i was playing against did not pay her respects and murdered me. On the upside, ill be with ol Maury soon 😁 😥

  • I guess ill put this comment here since it seems to be the mega thread.

I think darkness may be bugged on PS5. Its waaaay darker than any of the pc streams ive seen, and wirse than screenshots im seein here. At first i thought it might not be optimized for HDR, but after turning it off on PS5 and tv its still just as bad. I can literally only see my character model. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

If it helps, im playing on PS5 with a newer 120hz LG NanoCell tv fully optimized by the specs. I dont have any brightness issues on any games outside of this darkness effect

  • Mitch. His name is mitch.

  • I feel for your situation, but i dont think itd be practical to make design decisions around those types of restriction. When the game is a bit scary or uncomfortable thats when its at its best.

That said, i have something for you to try. When youre playing the game, be aware of your breathing. Make sure to take slow, deep breaths...almost in a meditative way. All panic responses begin with shallow, rapid breathing and that triggers a physiological response in the body. "Fight or flight" kicks in. Ppl with strong phobias lose control of this response and it spirals out of control. However, if you teach yourself to control your breathing, it wont escalate to the point where you lose control. Sounds silly, but i swear it works.

  • Omg, its soooooo bad on consoles! Plz fix! I get screwed over at least once per match by this.

  • In my experience its just a graphics bug. They dont show up (mainly in buildings/some indoor maps), but theyre actually there. If a survivor runs through it, itll trigger. Down side is you just hafta get a feel for where youre placin em. Upside, it doesnt seem like survivors can see em either so it makes for some sneaky plays if you get used to it.

  • It seems they were focused on how sbmm effects player enjoyment and skill balance. I dont think they needed a survey for that. Its bad. Anyone thats stuck in solo q hell knows its bad. (currently im stuck in a place where the game thinks im good enough to carry an entire match, so i get strong killers and teammates that act like its their first match. Every time.) I would like them to get more feedback on the kinds of things you mentioned if they do future surveys.

Even putting a text box at the end of this survey that asked why you did or didnt have fun couldve been very helpful.

  • None. Id like to buy some, but cant afford/justify spending $10 on a single outfit. My poor Feng looked horrendous...now i have a cute lil sweater thing from the rift, so that helps a bit. I really wish cosmetics were more affordable (in both $ and shards).

I know I just made post about toxic survive with friends but now I’m running into toxic killers now. I swear I’m so frustrated with these players. I haven’t even camped or tunnel recently cause I like to try to have more fair matches from time to time. I don’t even teabag at the killer or flashlight spam or whatnot I just do my own thing like running away from them, doing gens, and whatnot. I know people can be jerks but I just feel that lately it’s been getting out of hand for me personally. I’m sorry for ranting and rambling but again I’m just really frustrated with having to keep making a ton of reports like this cause I block these players again for a reason. I also know blocking does not help either. Again I’m sorry for ranting and rambling on about this nonsense I just need to maybe take a break or something I don’t know what to do anymore . Thank you all for reading this and have a nice day.

Somethin that always makes me feel better when games are goin rough....

Grab a killer you like to play, go into a match, then just have some fun. Chase ppl down without hittin em, down em then let em wiggle out, drop em by a gen, do stuff to let em know youre just goofin around and watch how they respond. Most ppl will play along and do some silly stuff with you. I like to slowly peek out from a wall so survivors can only see my glove, then hit the dream snare button so it looks like im wavin at em. It sounds dumb, but sometimes its good to simply get some laughs outta the game. I spent like 5 minutes the other night just dancin with a survivor on top of the tables in Dead Dog. Try it.

(Obviously, youre gonna lose the match...so if youre tryin to pip, do it at the start of a rank or when youre iri 1)

  • It seems like its something to do with however they coded ground/foliage. Its almost like scratches are sinking into the enviroment at times, especially on reworked outdoor maps. No idea if its intentional or an oversight, but its definitely been happening more n more.

  • I got accused of cheating once because i grabbed an injured survivor out of a locker. Guess he didnt know i could hear him lol wouldnt worry too much about it. Ppl do what ppl do.

  • I think the thing thats kept this game goin when others have fallen, is that the core gameplay is fun. Sure its got a ton of issues with balance n freshness, but the bones of the game are enjoyable. Its simple enough that anyone can pick up n play, but has enough nuance to keep experienced players engaged. That said, i really hope they can smooth out all the annoying kinks......someday.

  • I think pinhead is a lot of fun. When u start out ita be rough cuz hes not very strong at first. But once his possessed chains click for u ita get much better. Theres plenty of fun, interesting plays he can make if ur willing to put in the time. Chain hunts r just a happy bonus

  • Ive spent so much time on those hooks that i should get a memorial plaque on there or somethin lol but ima keep hangin in there in the hopes that bubba gets my face 😁

  • Info ive seen on other threads:

use the number on the first screen (posted by a forum mod)

Info ive gathered from context/educated guess:

U can do more than 7 surveys. I just has to be a minimum of 7. Havent seen any clarity on the consecutive part, other than the way its worded on survey. Id say if u wanna be safe, do 7 in a row.

For anybody that doesnt know whats goin on, just check the news feed in game or look up a forum post for "end game survey" dated may 31st (i think). Both have links that will send u to the survey page. Just do that each time after a match.

Side note: if ur on console, take a picture of ur cloud id (found at bottom of settings page). U will need to enter that each time n its kinda long. PC can just copy/paste.

  • Most important thing, be unpredictable. Forget everything u know about looping. Make erratic, but smart plays. Remember that killers expect certain plays/movements. Nurse games are all about predicting the survivors next move....so make their job as hard as possible.

  • U might have some controller drift if its really bad. Im on ps n have that problem. Sadly theres nothin u can do aside from playin around it (or buyin a new controller, but who wants to do that)

  • Could be cheatin, could play a lot of pinhead. For someone that plays him often, it boils down to mathematics. I think Otz did a video on it at one point. Ol Pinny is closest thing i have to a "main", n i pretty much know where the box is at all times. Tho, i usually dont spam the boxes unless survs are bein twats.

  • I think having an indicator that shows when someone is in chase could go a long way and its info that swf already have. I use empathy for just that purpose (bein able to find ppl to heal them is nice too). Whether or not solos would make the most of that info....well, thats a whole nother story. There is no way to get solo on par with swf, but some small qol fixes could help a bit

  • They will probably go on sale around the chapter drop or the rework coming later this summer. At least, thats how its usually worked in the past. Events typically bring discounts of some sort.

  • This is definitely a visual bug thats been goin on for about a month. At the end of match, you can scroll back to the first results page (the one youd normally see all the bonuses applied to) and youll see that your total bp number is now different from what it said when it first popped up. You can also check your BP on the lobby screen before and after match to double check if you want.
